is the Galaxy Nexus the same as the Galaxy S2 HD LTE?

does anyone know where to buy one?
Hardware wise: No.
GS2 HD LTE Uses a Snapdragon processor (same one in the sensation XE Ibelieve)
retains the 8MP camera.
I believe it uses the same screen tho, thats the only thing they really have in common.
Rogers is selling it (soon I hear) so if you don't mind a drive/flight to Canada, you can grab it up here.
Oh, and the GS2 HD LTE will also be running gingerbread instead of GNex's ICS.
the Rogers version is NOT HD
is the old 800x480 display
only the korean version is HD
Anyone know where I can actually buy the Korean device (in Korea) that will work on AT&T in 3G? Is it actually out yet?

define "good". Its a factory Samsung battery, so the quality is the same as your current one.
is it worth it

Everyone has a different level of what "worth it" means. the battery costs ~$30 for the CDMA version, ~$50 for the GSM version. In both cases the capacity bump is in the ~14% range. Do the math.

It comes with a battery door to fit properly. Most extra 3rd party cases will fit with the extended battery just fine. Its not a very big bump in size.

i515 is CDMA and the battery is usually blue w/ silver border.
i9250 is GSM and the battery is usually black w/ silver border.

If you bought your phone for use on Verizon Wireless USA, you have CDMA. Otherwise, you have GSM.

You get GSM for GSM. CDMA for CDMA. BUT THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.

They both give nearly the same % increase in battery over stock; the CDMA phone has a 1850mAh stock, and a 2100mAh extended. GSM has 1750mAh stock, and 2000mAh extended.
oookie i have the gsm then i bought it from canada bell
but the amazon links i posted were they the right one ?
if not can u find me a ebay or amzaon link ?
all the ones i see is for the i515

Search Ebay for "Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus GT I9250 2000mah Extended Battery Case Cover"
That auction is an OEM Samsung battery and includes the battery cover and is going to be your best best for a extended battery.

If getting the GSM version I recommend just getting the official Samsung one, especially because you wan't an approved back cover for the extended so it looks correct.
Again, you cannot use the i515 version.

Which 32/3 G3's work well on EE in the UK?

I am a bit confused at which G3 is best for use in the UK.
I'm on EE and have seen that all the Korean models support the necessary networks, but I have been told that they don't work fantastically.
What are the facts?
Thanks in advance.

Handtec sell the european 3/32 version of the G3 for 509.99 maybe that's a safer bet?

Maybe, and thanks for the information as that seems like a good price, but I would really like a definitive answer before spending £500!

I have read some who have the Korean version have issues with it not seeing 4G or losing 4G after a reboot and the European 3/32 version supports all LTE bands within the UK so there won't be any issues with it working in the UK on EE or any other network.
Also you cannot cross flash ie a D855 firmware onto K400 or vice versa.
Thanks for the information both of you.
I think I'll go with the EU version to make sure.
Just for clarity, the D855 is the EU version, and the F400/K400 are the Korean versions?

Canadian S20 5G with disabled e-sim

Hi guys
I would like to know. If I buy a Canadian S20 without e-sim, is there a way to enable this? Its hopeless for me without the e-sim as I need to use it for business like my IPhone which has an e-sim.
Thanks if you could help

No, however rumor has it a future update may facilitate this function but don't hold your breath! There are International variants which offer Dual SIM's. Samsung should make this option more widely available.

I'd pass on the Exynos SOC. The Dual SIM Snapdragon S20 Plus is available on eBay for $882.00.

Yes

I have the Hong Kong variant, it works in the US. There's a number of NFC Payment platforms, the main thing is your bank needs to be aligned with whatever platform you chose. Almost all banks facilitate Samsung MTS.

My experience with Samsung Pay and the HK variant is based on the Note 10 - out of the box, Samsung Pay will only work with AmEx in Canada with a dual SIM Snapdragon variant. Google Pay does work without any issues.
One other thing to consider - the HK/China/Taiwan Snapdragon variant does not have the same 5G bands as the Canadian one.
Quick Question. If you change the CSC to enable the e-sim in Canada. Which one do I use to still retain the Samsung pay and VOLTE?
thanks

I'm not aware of any Snapdragon Variants which offer eSim with one exception, the Galaxy Fold but I haven't heard feedback from Snapdragon users with Canadian Branded Devices.

Yes, just saw that... so I am sort of screwed right now with no options but to buy grey. No go as not even VOLTe will work.../samsung pay
Telus might be allowing VoLTE and VoWiFi on unlocked phones... I am so disappointed with VoLTE / WiFi needing to be baked into firmware on Android, what's going to happen when HSPA is retired? Also why was it so hard to begin with, the tower should be the keeper / sender of the related settings.
To enable esim, you must find the firmware from the region & telco that support esim , and you must change the firmware *and* the csc too. changing only one of them will not do.

NFC button isn't clickable. Can't turn it on.

I bought ZTE Red Magic 5G 12\256 (global version) on 11th of August and I've recently found a problem with my NFC. I just can't turn it on. It is not clickable. It just has gray colour and that's all. I added my card to Google Pay but I can't pay with my phone because NFC not working ><

If you bought it from a 3rd party seller then it's a Chinese version flashed with global rom and not an actual global version of the phone. Also you can confirm this by checking the charger. If it is 55 watt then it's Chinese version of the phone.

Nubia devoloper confirmed that the Chinese version of the phone does not have the nfc chipset in the phone. And the only way you can buy a red magic 5g with nfc chip is by directly buying from official red magic site or official Ali express store. Other than that its not possible to have nfc. So if some app is reporting it has nfc that is probably because of global rom? I don't know about any software.. But probably cpu-z could give some idea

Can you verify "Build Number" you see in Settings -> About Phone? For actual global versions, it has the form NX659J_ENCommon_v4.xx (3.xx for NA/Asia) whereas it's NX659J_CNCommon_v6.xx otherwise.
You should ask the seller what hardware model they sold to you? If it was actually global hardware but with CN ROM, then you can get NFC by moving to the global ROM.
