The capturing Zones can be set up individually for each Light by drag&drop.
Flash detection (adds immersion to scenes with flashing lights)
CPU Multithreading (experimental)
Detect average or predominant colors – results vary depending on screen content.
Zone testing (launches a video to quickly test and configure your JeeLight zones)
Playground
Set each Yeelight (or all together) to your favorite color.
Mouseflow tracks your mouse cursor and changes your Yeelights to whatever you’re mousing over.
Effectcreator
Create your own effects. Easy as 1-2-3
Sceneplayer
Play Presets or our own Effects created in Effectcreator
Set different Effects to different Lights and play them at the same time
Upload your custom Effect to the community Server
Download other custom Effects and use or edit them
Specials
Roompaint
With this mode all colors will flow slowly from one Light to the next one. And paint your room with uncountable beautiful colors.
Twinkle
Circadian Lighting (like f.lux) a lighting system designed to tap into the cycles our bodies’ follow each day, based on the color of the sky.
Runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux
Supports all WiFi enabled YeeLights!
Here a short demonstration of Ambilight. This video shows the first running version. Since then many improvements and functions have been added!
Please Note:
There is a Firmware issue in Yeelight bulbs which cause flickering due to high Framerate in Ambilight. I am in contact with Yeelight and there will be a Firmware update soon. Users of the beta firmware are able to activate the new feature (Send Beta Commands).
The software is in a final beta state and may not yet be working as expected – please report any bugs encountered in the forum. Furthermore its only tested on Windows, but should work on other OS too.
You need to enable “LAN-Control” in the Yeelight app for each Light.
JeeLightis free. However, I would be happy to accept small donations. This will help me to pay my hardware and server costs, as well the huge amount of coffee which is needed to develop more crazy stuff. (there’s a lot of nightly hours . Each donator will become a Beta-tester and receive every new function at first.
You can use the installer for Windows and MacOS which already includes the Java runtime. Of course you can use the JAR file too.
For Linux you have to download the latest Java Runtime and start the JAR File

Just downloaded and tested it on my 3 lights (2 bulbs + 1 strip). It works great, here's my notes so far:
1 - CPU usage is about 20% average on an AMD A8-5600k. I'm curious how you only get 3-8% on your setup.
2- Once you click "Start", the Jeelight app becomes very slow/unresponsive until you click "Stop". Only the Jeelight app, the computer runs normal.
3- A 3 minute time-limit on a beta demo is kind of...meh. Its not enough time to really test the app in movies, games, etc.
In any case, great work so far, I look forward to seeing this developed more

Thank you for your opinion and test.
1. as i see on speed rankings, your CPU is on 460th while my is on 92th. The CPU load is also depending of the size of each capture zone
2. On my PC you notice only very slight and short jerking every 300ms when you move the window. Actually, hardly worth mentioning. think the same problem as point one. i will try to outsource a part to a new thread in the next version.
3. Yeah youre right.. I will increase the time to 15-20min i think.

Ohhh point 1 and 2 make perfect sense, I have a large screen and created 3 zones that use the entire screen (top left half, top right half, bottom full width). Will test again with smaller zones
Update: Yes that was exactly the problem, with smaller zones my CPU usage dropped significantly and the app doesn't jerk around anymore when being moved around. Haha, makes perfect sense. :good:

Nice.
A real ambilight like from phillips or other systems out there only use 1-2 centimeters on the sides, because you want that the colors "flow out of the screen" xD
Its a heavier process to find the average color of a 1000x1000 picture instead of a 200x200 one.
Anyway I upload Version 1.5 right now with new settings. like Flashdetection and Threading Mode.
Please look in 10 minutes if version 1.5 already exist

Nice! Small problem with 1.5 though or maybe its just me?
I uninstalled 1.4 and installed 1.5 - after that, only 2 of my 3 lights will change color, the 3rd light just stays white.
So I deleted all the zones and tried to "Discover Lights" again but now it just stays on "Searching".
Update: Nevermind, I turned the lights on and off again in the Yeelight app and Jeelight instantly found them again. Weird. And after creating new zones, they all work again.
Very nice to add hyperthreading and flash detection
I have just one small feature request, would it be possible to name the lights in the Jeelight? Currently I move colors around my screen to figure out which zonebox controls each light

Version 1.5 is online:
threading mode wich controls all lights simultaneously due Hyperthreading
brightness control
flash detection wich may give a Action szene more effects and immersion. If huge brightness difference is detected, the light will switch to full white for a fraction of a second. This is the first version and i have to deal with the values a bit more

Yeah sometimes the Yeelights no longer response to any commands. I think this is a Firmware problem.

p.s: You dont have to uninstall the old version.
And to reduce your downloaddata, just download the Jar file and replace it with the Jar in your installationfolder

Very much looking forward to future development on this app (and a paid full version ). I'm putting together a guide soon for maximizing Yeelight enjoyment on PC (for a tech how-to website) so this app will definitely be included along with Yeelight Toolbox
I've been testing various methods of getting a "Music Mode" on PC, Yeelight Toolbox works great for 1 light, and his Yeelight Music Android app can be ran inside an Android emulator on PC but that only gives a disco/strobe effect to all the lights, no color matching, so I'm looking forward to testing Jeelight with a visualizer plug-in for Foobar. Normally I run Milkdrop visualizer in full-screen mode so this should be fun I think with your flash detection, it should be pretty awesome.

Any thoughts about adding a music mode that reacts to the beats in the song playing on the computer?

Nice program!
I've just tried Yeelight Toolbox, JeeLight and Androids Yeelight Music app. But there were some problems with JeeLight i think:
- Autodiscovery doesn't work. No bulbs were found. So i added them manualy with the IP adresses.
- The color change in the tab "playground" sometimes show's no effect. Sometimes it works, sometimes it wont.
But now the weird part:
After adding the bulbs in JeeLight, Yeelight Toolbox says on opening:
"Ungültige Länge für Base-64-Zeichenarray oder -Zeichenfolge" (Translated: "invalid length for a base-64 char array or string"). If i look into the Yeelight Music App, the names of my bulbs are broken. There are now something like
"G?/
or
"G?G

Phone Profiles.... Seriously

I just updated my "flagship software" for Phone Edition.
(sorry for the one month of delay time)
Many many improvements, new features and fixes.
Now you can replace the default balloon message of the upcoming phone, use the fullscreen message, see the caller's photos in any size... or turn the Pocket PC completely off into the Silent Profile.
More fixes for the standard PPC2002 and WM2003 Phone Edition versions.
You can customize the view of taskbar with all default icons are still visible correctly. The only solution for Phone Edition.
Plus: skinable interface, icons, images, messages in the full version, just it going to change the name to the Phone Profiles Seriously.
The Lite Version is free update for current users.
Test it. There is a few different O/S now. Be sure it works with your device correctly.
The Trial Version works 7 days without limits.
More screenshots, descriptions on the new Home Page:
http://www.jgui.net/phoneprofiles/index.html
Read there how to customize your images, icons, message.
I open the contest for the best and fun icons for Phone Profiles.
The winners (3) will get the full version. Until the end of February.

hello,
do you consider making Polish language version of your software ?? question not only out of curiosity ..
regards, monika
My trial of version 3.1 has just finished, so I downloaded version 5 to see what has changed.
The settings interface is a big improvement, but there are two bugs that I've found which have annoyed me. Also, in version 3.1 I had nice small icons on the Today screen. In version 5 the icons are huge! Too big!
Bugs:
- When I click a profile icon, then choose a time, the click goes through the time button to the today item behind it. The profile is chosen OK, but I then have to close (for example) the Bluetooth setting dialog. Grrr!
- Last night I was browsing my offline IE favourites. As normal, every time I opened a stored page, the XDA2 tried to connect GPRS to check the page version. As normal I clicked the 'cancel' button to stop the GPRS connecting, but every time I did this, the machine turned itself off. I discovered this is because I had chosen a Phone Profile (default Silent) with the setting to turn the machine off after every call. This was a major pain in the ass. If this setting is going to cause the machine to switch off like this then I'm never going to use it - it's a wasted setting.
At the moment, Version 5 has disadvantages for me. It's not a step backwards, because the settings interface is improved a lot, but I'm not going to use the program any more. This is a pity - Version 3.1 was excellent!
Hope this helps.
Edit: More bugs? I just set the 'Loudest' profile to 'Vibrate: longer' on incoming calls. Wow. It was definitely longer. It wouldn't stop, even 30 seconds after the phone had passed the call to answerphone. I had to switch it off and back on to stop the vibration. Great.
Also on loudest profile, with SMS set to 'Sound: normal' and 'Vibrate: normal', I get no vibration or sound at all when an SMS comes in.
Also also , I can't configure MSN Messenger alerts independently, which I could in V 3.1.
Damn, my disappointment level is rising!
1. I think it is safe to see the today screen and changes of phone profiles whe it happen - just to be sure "where you are". why do you want to change the phone profle when you are with another settings dialog? if I undestood you correctly
2. you have right, I did not think in this way. I will fix it. In the meantime: just do not use "turn the power off after the call" option, easy?
thanks for you comments
Thanks for responding quickly.
More explanation:
1.
On the Today screen I have PhoneProfiles with the (large) icons visible. When I tap an icon to change profile I get the timeset buttons (15, 30, 60, 90 etc.). The timeset buttons are bigger than the area that PhoneProfiles needs, so on my screen the timeset buttons overlap the item below, which is my Bluetooth headset profile item. When I click the '---' button to select the PhoneProfile, the click activates the chosen PhoneProfile, but also hits the Bluetooth headset item.
2.
I have disabled the 'Turn power off after the call' option.
I uploaded the setup file,
problems with vibrate and fullscreen skinning fixed
btw: when you use "longer vibrate" or "pulse"
and you will not answer the call and the caller cancel the ringing
and now you want to break the vibrations
PRESS the red phone hardware buttons on tap the balloon or fullscreen message
Hi JGUI,
Nice work.
I miss one thing. Is possibel to give diferent ring tones to callers? as you can do with the pictures?

different sounds
are you sure you want it?
I noticed that when I set different sounds sometimes when I hear my phone ring I do not focus and undestand that it is ringing because my mind expects default ring I use.
in the previous version there was an options to random select sounds from one folder and this given me the same confusion as the one above, sounds changes and I do not recognize that my phone ring when I listen music or tv....
any way, of course I thought so and I can add this feature
you can keep photos and sound in one folder with names as your caller phone numbers and the program will use if found photo or sound with appreciated name to number
thanks
caller photo trial?
Hi!
@JGUI: the description and screenshots look very promising. I would like to use this program to replace the CallerId program that comes with the MDA/XDA II. CallerId is somewhat notorious, and seems to cause many problems.
However, I would like to test this feature before I shell out $39... would you consider making a trial version of the Seriously version? You could limit the caller photos to, let's say, three entries. That would be enough to test the feature, and still give enough incentive to actually buy the program!
Also, do you consider foreign language versions? I'd be happy to help you making a German version, if you want!
Best Regards
Daniel

I made the trial,
of course as I made it always for all my software.
this is one setup file for all versions of Phone Profiles currently,
you install and you start to use the trial,
then you can write in settings dialog the password
to unlock to the lite version or to the full "seriously" version
depend what passwword you got.

Hi JGUI, I downloaded the trail and it look good.
One thing i miss is that whem receiving a sms I can let the red light only flash for 5 minutes up to one hour. I would like to see it flash without limit. So only when I read the sms the red light can go off.
Got it...excellent
But do I need to delete caller id monitor from start ???? I think it s not usefull now right ? with JG prog, functions are the same and I am not sure to use the two at the same time wont make some bugs Your opinion ?
Oh, and we all want configurable MSN Messenger alerts, right?

I tried the 3.xx versions but I had some bugs ...
The version 5 looks good but it is not possible to have different ring tones for contact
And 39$ it is a little bit more expansive when you see that Crazy kart only cost 15$
For that price do we have unlimited upgrade free ?
Could some users post their feedback about this version ....
Fix web site... www.jgui.com ?
JGUI:
I downloaded the Seriously version and like many of the features. However, I am trying to figure out how to set all of the features you describe. Your web site has broken links all over the place... and, moreover, it's difficult to find this software without knowing the exact link.
REQUESTED FEATURE:
It would be VERY nice to be able to "schedule" profiles to turn on and off. For example, I'd like to have silent scheduled from 10PM-6AM, then have the default turn on from there...
Thx, JS

broken link?
I think it works fine:

scheduling profiles? hmmm? I think it would be "too much".
you will forget your settings between just 4 profiles, scheduled and normal changed, very soon! and you will be wonder that your phone works in unexpected way...
I tested scheduling, my friends too....
We think that the simple tap the icon and change the profile temporary or continuously, it is the better solution...
But I'm still listening comments, awaiting... let's see what others will say...
thank you for your comments[/url]

[APP][ALPHA] G Force Logger for Vehicle Performance (no, not gPC)

Hi, my name is Eric. I've been working with WinCE for a long time (since WinCE 2.0 haha) and I've regained interest in PPC programming. Working with few things here and there, mostly experimenting.
In anycase, I've got an idea to record g forces on a vehicle while it's being tested to its limits (AutoX, drag race).
Now, I know there's already a piece of software out there, gPC, but it isn't completely refined (indepth calibration, angle corrections) or completely free (by donation).
The goal of the project is to create something similar to a device called gTech which goes upwards of $300 for the basic model.
Key features will include:
- a reset function + algorithms to compensate for device orientation
- graphs of resulting logged data
- logging of calibrated data and raw data
- Driving aids
- Flashing screen to indicate reaching of new peak G (separate indicators for forward and lateral)
- a screen showing realtime overlapping graphed data for all axis
- a 2d grid with a cursor indicating current forward and lateral g
- on the same 2d graph, a drawn boundary indicating limits of g achieved (this will eventually look like an egg after working the car hard)
- and finally, real time telemetry transmission via edge/3g to a receiving computer
The ultimate goal of this project is to provide reliable data for motor enthusiasts whether they would like to see if their shifting is smooth, or if they're braking, or powering on in the right places or if their car mods have had any effect (this last one is pretty useful to quantify). In addition, provide some rudimentary tools to assist in competitions and spirited driving in the form of g limit warnings (flashing screen, large indicators of current g). In the case of spirited driving on a mountain road, the device can warn when approaching loss of traction (after collecting limit data) to prevent going off a cliff.
Venues of use:
Auto Cross
Track Days
Drag Strip
Skidpad
Of course, I have to insert here, that this device can't save your bacon if you do something idiotic and by no means do I condone dangerous driving.
With that said, all the above is what I hope to achieve and any of your comments is well appreciated.
Current Release:
v0.1
Alpha stage, rudimentary raw data output via numbers and a line (indicating X and Y recorded g) and a circle (indicating Z g). The numbers shown are the raw numbers recorded from the accelerometer and not converted to m/s^2. Although, you can probably do that math on your own if you're smart enough (simple scaling). What I've discovered is that each accelerometer is different, and even going from a negative axis (eg, device upside down) to positive axis (device right side up) will give different numbers. In addition, if you run the program, you'll notice a lot of jitteriness. I hope it doesn't affect the accuracy once I smooth them out with a segmented average.
Executable is packaged in a zip. It contains an EXE which can be straight run with Dot NET CF v2.0 (basically, all WM 6.1 devices)
Hi Canagan,
Great idea, I will certainly be testing this out.
I would like to ask, would it be possible to be able to include 1/4 mile time, and 0-60 etc so we can work out HP of the car. There is a similar app for the Iphone called Dynolicious http://gizmodo.com/5030749/iphone-apps-we-like-dynolicious-car-performance-meter

Yes, I can do that if there's more of a demand for it. Calculating horsepower is fairly simple, however, I may put 1/4 mile times and 0-60 towards the end of development as they require tieing into the GPS.
Great idea.. I will test it also

[REQ/IDEA] End of Appointment Reminder Tones

I am a psychotherapist and would love an app to do this:
At 15 minutes from the end of an appointment a gentle sound would play to remind me that I should wrap things up
At 10 minutes a different sound to REALLY wrap things up
At the end of the appointment a different loud sound should signal.
What do you think? I don’t believe anything like this exists.
- I would love if the program could have a configurable number of reminders and sounds to play.
- It would also be great if it would only do this for appointments with a specific category and status.
- It would also help if you could configure the volume to be at the system volume setting, or a specified volume.
- It would be nice if there was a big button to enable/disable the whole thing.
Do you think? Would this be hard to write? Would someone be up for the challenge?
I am guessing other professions would benefit from it e.g. lawyers, massage therapists, anyone who works by the hour. A small niche, but one who would really eat this app up
Thanks!
Mark
Interesting idea.
I might add it to my list of Windows Mobile applications to develop depending on how things shape up. This looks like a good application to offer in the sub $3-$5 price range.
Hi Frazell,
Glad you may be interested. I used to develop software, so I can be a good beta tester, and think that I can specify what I am looking for well. Hopefully we can make a good developer-tester team. Let me know. Sounds fun to the be user for once .
Thanks,
Mark

- It would be nice if there was a big button to enable/disable the whole thing.

Hi,
I am fairly certain I could Mort script your entire wishlist posted here. Mortscript is not as cool as a .net app, but does not lack in speed or power.
Wouldn't be too hard. Obviously a lot of timing logic, but no big deal. There are already a number of timing scripts that I am sure would plug right in.
I don't know if anybody would be interested if I pushed it out? I may use this concept app as a test showcase (big word) for my HTML based Mortscript menus. This means the Buttons you push to start/dismiss alarms can look real nice with a background or color scheme.
Thanks for listening,
Keith
Hi Guys,
I would be absolutely delighted if either if you gave it a shot. I tried to flesh out my specs. Not all of these are necessary for me, but I tried to think of how to make it as attractive as possible or a wide range of users.
- An unlimited number of reminders with different sounds/volumes. Perhaps you can specify with timing from the beginning or end of the appointment. i.e. you can specify 10 minutes from the end, or ten minutes from the beginning
- The volume should be selectable as a system volume or specific volume. This is important since I often want all OTHER reminders to be silent while I am in an appointment.
- Vibrate option
- A play test button on the screen where you choose the sound to test how it will actually sound
So the screen to set up sounds may look like this:
_(Sound file)_ _(minutes)_ _(from begin/end)_ _ (Vol)_ _(Vibrate?) _ (Play Button)_
_(Sound file)_ _(minutes)_ _(from begin/end)_ _ (Vol)_ _(Vibrate?) _ _ (Play Button)_
_(Sound file)_ _(minutes)_ _(from begin/end)_ _ (Vol)_ _(Vibrate?) _ _ (Play Button)_
__(Add Another Reminder Button)___
- The (Add Another Reminder Button) shown above will add another line.
- Perhaps different profiles based on appointment status/category/time combinations.
- Perhaps profile switching from the command line so it can be controlled by a third party profile app (e.g. phone alarm)
- Perhaps three big digital clocks current time; elapsed appointment time; remaining appointment time.
- It should not put an unnecessary drain on the battery. i.e. it should allow the phone to sleep if they do not want to see the clock screen on all the time. Obviously it would still wake to ring the reminder tones .
- Perhaps a finger friendly manual profile switch button.
- Perhaps a finger friendly enable/disable button
- Perhaps an easy way to make it start up with the phone automatically.
If profiles are too complicated, it would be fine without profiles, as long as you can enable/disable the program by the command line. That way other profile managers can handle that. I think that without profiles the program should be relatively easy. Perhaps profiles can be a 2.0 idea.
Thanks!
Mark
Hi guys,
Well I could not help myself - I ended up coding it myself in Mortscript. Thanks Keith for the reference to Mortscript - I had seen the name on the board, but had never known what is was.
Unfortunately, it is all hard-coded to my requirements. I do not know how to put a user-interface on it so that it would be extensible to other users. Perhaps this is what you were going to do Keith?
Thanks,
Mark
That is great.
Could you post the script?
I was going to start with the user interface first. I wasn't too thrilled to set up the reminder code, so this is a bonus.
I can also add code to store settings and whatnot if you have not done so already...
Hi Keith,
Here we go. I have tried to make the code as easy as possible to follow. You will see the first few section are all the parameters which are currently hard-coded, and would need to be made accessible via the interface you write.
Currently it only works in Pacific Daylight Savings Time. The variable offset is coded for this. Perhaps you can figure out how to get this to work for all time zones.
I also have another problem. If the phone goes to sleep, the alarms will not work. I am guessing I need to put some sort of logic to put a program in the notification queue or something. Any ideas? Can you do this on your side?
Thanks,
Mark
OK, I solved the issue with the phone going to sleep. I also added a few new features.
It still does not work other time zones - perhaps you have some ideas.
There are two files "reminder.mort" starts the program; "reminderKill" stops the program.
Here you go. Enjoy!
Mark
Hi.
As fast as I can I am finishing up my Ringtone update.
There is a timezonebias command and I expect that will fix the time zone issue.
"Phone goes to sleep". I wonder what that means . But seriously. I am fairly certain I will get to peruse your code and set up a interface for it maybe even by tomorrow night (elves willing).
Great Keith!
I am excited to see what it would look like
So I have been digging in.
I am just posting a initial start alpha.
It's not working, just for show.
I did drop it into a cab file so u can install/uninstall it.
Tomorrow am i will get it so it is functional from the menus.
Hey Keith,
That is looking like a nice start!

Why don't u enclose 3 sound files so we can cab em up and set them as default sounds?
Delete your ini file if you are just copying mscr over.
Maybe next version i will make sure it baks up and is able to restore from a reinstall. Probly better to store them in the registry for just such an emergency. ("I keep my feathers numbered...", Foghorn Leghorn)
Hey Keith,
That rocks! Very cool!
Here are some issues/suggestions I had - you probably are aware of many:
-I tried to run it with the latest "stable" mortscript, and all I got was an error that the sub "Mortscript" was not found.
-I then downloaded the latest beta from the website; the program then connected and downloaded another even later version. It then got an error trying to install that version. I moved the file it downloaded to the right place, and then finally it worked .
- Can we make the interface a little easier to use with your fingers? Particularly the "Activate/Deactivate buttons"?
- Can we have a check box "Automatically Run At Startup (in the background)"?
- Can we make the other reminder parameters configurable by the interface i.e."time"; "flashes"; vibrate"
- I like the INI file idea - that is cool.
Congratulations! Super cool!
I will ZIP up the sound files tomorrow for you.
Mark
Version 4.2 doesnt support CallFunction. We (the royal "we") easily could rewrite it so it treats all the variables as global and then could revert to a lesser mort version.
I will look into fixing the auto install of the new mortscript. I have a MotoQ smartphone and can't use the download command on my phone. Small matter.
Activate/Deactivate button - Have to think of how to show this. I will whip out a simple way for starters. 3 buttons on Main app screen. Activate/DeActivate/Settings. Make the text button size large so the first 2 buttons show.
Automatically Run At Startup - We can have another shortcut just run the ReminderActivate and maybe vibrate signalling on. Is that what you mean? Picard could say energize, I have a tiny wav file that says that. Also a sleepmessage could show and go away.
"time"; "flashes"; vibrate" - You may have outlined this in your phase 2 details. I will need to review the list. If you havent mentioned them feel free to elaborate.
I just had to get the main framework laid out.
Glad it's shaping up.
Hey Keith,
1. I am enclosing three sounds files that work for me.
2. Various options. You will see that all the variables defined at the beginning of my script were designed to be user configurable. The volume, flash and vibrate functionality is already there, you just need to set the variables in the same way as you set the sound file.
ie:
# the appointment busy and catagory status needed. Blank = no requirement
requiredBusyStatus = "2"
requiredCatagory = ""
# Info about each alarm: seconds to end; volume level (-1 = system vol); flash n times; soud file; vibrate n times
level0Time = 0
volume0 = 255
flash0 = 0
soundFile0 = ""
vibrate0 = 0
3. Startup. I am not sure the best way to do. Perhaps a Right Softkey saying "Autostart RemindUs" or a checkbox on the main screen. If they select it, it will just start the program automatically in the background when the phone starts.
Thanks!
Mark
Hi.
Update soon...

[Beta, x86/ARM] Onscreen Joystick

Onscreen Joystick
By Netham45, Version Beta 1I've been working on this for Windows RT/Windows 8 off and on (more off than on), and I think it's ready for a beta tag.
I'm eventually planning on selling this somewhere for $5 or something, but it'll always be free on XDA.

Features:
Configurable for positions/keys pressed
Multi-touch support
Written in .Net, so one binary works on ARM and x86/x64
Open-Source
Documentation on how to use the configs should be at the top of the provided sample config.
Since this -is- the first public release, please let me know of any bugs you have with it, by posting in this thread and not by PMing me.
Known bugs:
Does not work with fullscreen applications (games/apps must run windowed)
Does not update smoothly (due to me using forms to render)
Quake 2 on Windows RT does not accept input from this app
Very nice! I don't know if it can be decompiled or serve as inspiration but comfort keyboard pro can stay on screen in almost any game I threw at it. Problem is it's kinda buggy and doesn't take well resolution changes, also the screen behind the keyboard gets pressed too.
Anyway, great app! this is certainly a must have for Win8!
I was thinking about making such program myself, but I don't know how to draw my own controls above fullscreen DirectX or D3D programs, so I have not even started.

You'd basically have to inject into the DirectX process and hook the drawing and input functions.

Yes, I'm doing that in my project (private build for now) - as I emulate DX anyway. But I've thought about an easier method. Maybe overlays, or something like that.
Very nice, looking forward to use this with various emulators
Great idea! I don't own Windows 8 with a touchscreen, but I can imagine the convenience of having this for light-to-moderate gaming, especially on the go! It already looks like it, but if not it would be cool to show each button as there respective keyboard command. So if button binded to keyboard "X" key were changed to keyboard "P" instead, the button itself would change, respectively. Good luck with it.
Thanks, great app !!! Did you use it with epsxe (playstation emulator) ? It works ?
(doesn't have my win8 here with me)
Thanks !
I don't actually own a Windows 8 tablet, only a Windows RT one, so I can't test it with ePSXe
Ok, netham45. I'll test it as soon as i'll get my Asus vivotab and report here. Want me to do some kind of beta-test ? Thanks, again !!

not sure that will work as the clicks on the screen "are the mouse"
was sorta thinking of the same sorta thing for FTL, as the touchscreen dont respond properly in game.
Also works great on asus vivotab (me400) full win 8. With FTL.
Have you thought about Putting the sources up in github so ppl can push commits and help you develop it
I grabbed the zip and made a few changes. Want me to send you a zip back?
I made a basic program to test the above theory, and i could not get it to work
the "Mouse Thumbstick" makes the app you are trying to control loose focus.

DEV Feedback
Hey guys,
First I would like to apologize to Netham45, I did contact him earlier today directly when I did not yet have permission to post here. Second, I would like to thank XDA to allow me to post my first post here.
I've been working very hard on and off for the past few weeks from the original sources. I have completely rewrote a vast majority of the original source code, but kept the underlying principles. Everything is becoming a little bit more object-oriented.
Here's what I've been up to:
- Direct X support
- Multiple analog joystick
- Mouse support (analog joystick)
- Touchscreen as a mouse device
- Preliminary Edit mode to move buttons around
- System action buttons ( popup keyboard, edit mode, exit, etc)
Regarding "Touchscreen as a mouse device", In FPS or MMO, touching the screen is badly interpreted and the "mouse-view" system becomes chaotic and uncontrollable. By re-emulating mouse input from the touchscreen, I've been able to control mouse-view in game and mouse "mechanics".
I'm currently re-writing again some part of the software, I'm taking the edit mode out of the gameplay mode, separation purposes. I need to address some little issues and complete my mouse emulation on the touchscreen. It's been a lot of fun adding support, a lot of learning how to interrupt and inject back into windows os.
Now all of this is done on my spare time, on and off. It's something that I like to do, but I have a family, kids and game commitment (SW:TOR Guildmaster).
Right now, here are the games I've been playing with a fair amount of success :
SW:The Old Republic (MMO)
Team Fortress 2 (FPS)
Alien Swarm (shoot-em up)
As soon as I get a feedback from Netham45 and I feel I can release an update, I'll do.

Thanks Netham,
I'll try to consolidate some part of the code, I'd like my mouse support to be better that what it is right now and I'll try to have a tentative release in a few days minus the edit mode that I'm basically tearing apart right now
Right now, my mouse support works well for a while and then becomes a little bit chaotic, I'd like to explain what I mean by that, but anybody who have played a FPS or MMO and touched the screen must know what I'm talking about. So right now, sometimes my code will trigger properly or not with not effect really... when it does 99% of the time it does well, with 1% with the same chaotic movement. It works well in MMOs, in FPS, it's different. For example in Team Fortress, for the first few seconds, it doesn't, then it works... it's not really related to how I code AFAIK. In SWTOR, it works very well... using the touchscreen or a 2nd analog joystick to mouse view stuff is awesome
Now I'll try to explain how mouse view works in a vast majority of games. When you use mouse-view, it kinda hide the mouse cursor and calculates movement from the center of the screen. Micro movement on the mouse means major camera movement. If you would click anywhere on the screen without my version of the on-screen joystick, the camera would go crazy and spin several time. What I do in code is center the mouse cursor then, slightly move it based on the touch mouvement, and voila works well
Now I wouldn't raid with that, but for leveling and doing solo quest, it works well...

Quick update...
In the past few days, I've written a complete overhaul of the touch system, I had made some design mistakes on purpose along the way. Mainly to allow controls to be move/resized on screen... I'm now starting to implement an Edit Mode that works outside of the Gameplay mode. I've been working on serializing/deserializing object to save/load templates. So I guess, I'm about to work on the edit mode...
The hardest part is keeping everything working with the passing of events (mouse mostly) to the application, and trying to copy the cursor back to the application itself just to maximise a kind of blend in between the multiple layers on screen. One slight changes can break everything...
I'm going to explain how things works :
The Gamepad Mode is either active or inactive.
When inactive, the windows soft keyboard can be opened and use as usual and you can control your table with the usual touch interface. However, no control appears on screen.
When active, the software takes over every touch input and interprets it according to two modes:
The Gamepad mode where touch events are only interpreted by on screen visual objects. In this state, outside of the gamepad controls, the touch input is totally disabled.
The Touchscreen mode where touch events are interpreted by the on screen visual objects and the rest of the surface can be used as cursor/mouse view input, basically it completely reproduce a touchscreen device... Right now you can tap the screen to move the cursor to the tap location and left click OR you can move the cursor around. With that you have on screen buttons that replicate the mouse buttons.
All of that works pretty well.
This week I will try to implement a quick Edit Mode with load/save capabilites and the possibility to add controls on screen and to edit them. This will allow you to add Analog Gamepad to control the Mouse or Keyboard (WASD, QWES, Arrow Keys), mouse button and mouse scroll buttons (scroll up or down) and "simple" keyboard to replicate number and letters. Eventually I will add Shift/Control/Alt Keyboard command.
I'd like to have a small list of alpha testers, so if you're interested, let me know. Basically with Alpha, I'm not going to try to support a particular game, I'm looking for major issues that make it so that the software becomes unusable. If a software doesn't work, I'm not "yet" going to spend time trying to fix it, so it's mainly to figure out major bugs.
With Beta, I will start implementing other functions that I have may not thought in advance and that will cover multiple games.
Once it's released, then I'll look into providing support for particular games based on popularity and demands...

iWOWN i7 smart bracelet with heart rate monitor

This post updates frequently
This thread is aimed to bring together all the information available on the i7 smart band: firmware, troubleshooting, features etc. This thread is also possible thanks to the work already done my user roninzgz for the i5+ smartband
I video review will also be soon posted (already delayed).
The app called Zeroner can be found in the play store here, or, for the most up-to-date app, one can find it here, in chinese (4.0.1.6), downloadable to your PC. The Chinese dev thread is here
The best version of the app to be used in english is the roninzgz moded one Zeroner 3.3.4 in En or Es here, here or here
A fast picture album after I unpacked it can be seen here. More, better quality photos, will be updated shortly.
A short review:
First off, we're talking about the all black version (black anodized aluminium body with a black wristband). A very good quality build and I was lucky to find it for a bit over 50€ though prices can change change.
It uses a 1.28 inch Sharp Memory LCD with a 128x128 pixel resolution (the same as the Pebble) making it have a battery life of veeeery close to 4 full days. There are some things I'd change in order to increase the life span, like the backlight, though dim, should have the option to be set between a specific interval, and not turn on at all during sleep mode. This is, however, not affected by the "screen mode" balk zith white text or white with black text as the whole screen needs to be refreshed and it eats the same 3-5 uA (micro amps) to do.
The body is sleek and allows for standard 20 mm wristbands to be used. It's thickness is as advertised, 8.4 mm, but the flat cut sides give it thinner look and the heart-rate sensor "bump" is unnoticeable.
Speaking of the heart-rate function, it's not always on, but rather it is a discreet one, at a minimum 10 minute intervals, depending on the activity. If sedentary, then the interval goes to 30 minutes. It is very accurate in measurements (compared with a medical one) and, as seen in Zeroner 3.3.4, it has it's own firmware (though 3.6.6.7 pushes it automatically, simultaneously)
It comes with 3 watch faces though the new firmware update changes the UI altogether. The one on the device at shipment is 1.0.3.9, to be updated to 1.0.5.4 (using Zeroner 4.0.1.6)
The screen responds to both swipes and touches. It has 5 active areas under the glass (2.5D) and it's not "too" sensitive but you'll never miss a command if the whole gesture is done.
It stores up to 8, full text notifications (basically it copies the phone's notification to the device' screen) - this function will change in the new firmware.
The device has English and Chinese menus, though the English one is pictogram based. It is, however, very intuitive and straightforward.
The new UI will bring camera and media player controls.

More than sure. Since not only does it pair with the latest app (which is better secured than 3.3.4) but also took the update. Also, the dedicated Chinese forum thread is a giveaway.
It is an iWOWN product and the exchanges I had with the customer service (who only reply if you write in Chinese) confirmed it for me.

I received my i7 today and i am quite pleased. It's quite elegante and feels like it is only 5mm thick. it cam with 1.0.0.3 firmware. The Menu is in chinese so pretty useless.Somehow i manage to change it that it displays symbols so it is okay, i guess.
I tried updating the firmware, but zeroner 3.6.6.7 won't start, even when phone language is set to chinese. Any suggestions?

I'll grab a quick look on how to get the hex file so you could manually place it in the Zeroner folder. Since I'm working with an iPad for that... I hope it'll not be "too" tricky.
If you are trying to update I'm sure it works with an iphone, after scanning the image in the first post and following the steps. it does not need any language change for the OS

Hi Adibadro,

When will the video presentation?

Hi, neotion,
Yes, the i7 has a backlight, very non intrusive if viewed in dark places. I'd wish it wouldn't turn on during the day as there is no need for it.
I'm getting 4 days of use from it and regarding the video, I can't get a break: my camera decided to not detect my lens and i'm now looking around to borrow one. - Can't do it with a phone, tried it and it's just... :crying: ugh. the sound is awful is where I'm getting at.
If push comes to shove I'll shoot it with a phone.
i tried updating my bracelet with zeroner 3.6.7 and a friends phone. I won't upgrade. i am stuck at the update page. it says detecting version.

on an iPhone, using the app coming from the qr code in this thread? if so, strange.
On androids, for the time being and mostly because I've already updated the watch, I can't retrieve the hex file to share it here

ok, so, the Android 3.6.6.7 app does not work above 5.1.1 (since it work on cm12.1 but not on cm13)
by scanning the qr code in this thread with an iOS device you'll get an app that not only would work but also allow you to update the firmware - yes, the chinese devs like iOS more
so, get the image on your phone, find a friend/colleague with an iPhone and update it like that - sorry I can't do more ATM

yeah thanks anyway At least there is one option that will work.
@adibadro, thanks for the answer. Bluetooth connection is stable? How many meters range?
You tested modes sport? It works well and shows accurate results?
I think over the purchase, you recommend this bracelet?
Hi, got my i7 today!!! The watch came with stock 1.0.0.1 firmware.
I successfully updated the firmware to 1.0.1.0 on Android KK using Chinese app 3.6.6.7 version.
As compared to i5, where .hex is used to update the firmware, i7 use .zip file to do the same.

Thank you very much!
I was able to upgrade using the DFU mode i5 plus mod by Ronin. It also works on the i7. But u don't see any success message. After that i used nRF Master control. There i connected to I7s DFU 1 and used Distribution package, normal mode. Worked like a charm.:highfive:
But it seem it's kind of buggy for me. in the menu i can't enter the options anymore. i can scroll through them so. At least it is still usable and not bricked :silly:
