I tried install sony messaging apk from apkmirror: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-mobile-communications/messaging-sony-mobile-communications/. Installation was ok but application crash after start. Did anyone find some version of what works or why application always crash?
Do you have any solution for Sony Messaging working on XZ2 Compact?
I don't understand what do you mean for Sony messaging... Don't you have already Message app in your system?
XZ2 Compact has default app for SMS/MMS from Google(https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/messenger-google-inc/) not from Sony(https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-mobile-communications/messaging-sony-mobile-communications/). App from Sony isn´t installed. When I install it so app has force crash after start.
Sorry to revive an old thread but I'd be interested in hearing if anyone got Sony Messaging working. I prefer it to the Google app.

Today i installed CM10 ROM on my xperia S, + NOVA kernel. I installed gapps and everything is working fine i have only 2 problems, one of them is that when im in camera app and i want to use photo sphere, my camera app crashes(i have question here, i see camera app named cyber-shot in some videos; why is that??)
second problem is the keyboard i just cant find the option to turn the swype on, i searched the internet and flashed JB 4.2 keyboard but it isnt shown anywhere.
and just few noob questions:
is there anyway to get the stock walkman widget working?? beacuse i dont really like this apollo music player (i got the application WALKMAN tho, but i would really like to get the widget)
is possible to get small apps working on CM10?? (probably not i guess)
is possible to get the some stock wigets i had on stock SONY UI.
the thing is that i really like sony UI, but google's stock UI just feels so much smoother and snappier witch i preffer over the choppy sony UI.
I'm looking for the semcCamera.apk that has that feature that allows you to take a picture from the lockscreen. I've looked through most of the threads and came up empty. It was a youtube video of the Xperia S or sola I'm not sure...Google didn't turn up anything. 'preciate if anybody could help or share.
Its not just a camera.apk its a whole phone that you are looking for. It doesn't matter if this app can take photos from the lockscreen if the lockscreen is not compatible with it.This feature probably must be also supported in a framework so I think its not possible.
Thanks for clarifying that for me. I figured all you had to do was download the camera from the xperia z to the xperia arc s and just change the permissions so it'll work. All I really wanted was that burst mode feature while you're using the camcorder on the xperia z. Oh well.
Is there any way to add some features of quickpic app to Sony album app...?
I want to add the ' exclude folder ' feature to my Sony album app. So that I can exclude my particular folder from showing in the app..
Please developers look into this matter ...

I don't think this will be possible. That feature is the most requested feature for the album app on nearly all sony devices, and no one ever managed to code it...
Please correct me if I'm wrong, cause this is the only reason I don't use sonys album.

I tested a lot of apps from Google Play but no one works for me. You can only hear crack sound but an conversation is not recorded on my phone.
Does anyone have the same problem as me?
Rooted Xperia M Single with newest stock firmware.
I've got also Xperia Live with Walkman, here everything works (for example Call Recoder app).

This app is from Sony Xperia XZ3.
Install it like an update and enjoy it, if doesn't work uninstall it.

As I stated https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz-premium/themes/panel-120hz-quest-t3852052/post78603665 it's not switching you to 4k when you change wm size, it's changing the rendered size of default applications that don't use GL/Vulkan (games use it usually).
