Tab S3 compatibility with Charging Dock POGO - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Accessories

Wondering if the Charging Dock POGO is compatible with the Tab S3... anybody tried it?

I haven't tried it. But looking at the photos it does not look like it will work. The S4 and the POGO have 4 pins. My Tab S3 has a total of 6 but only 5 grouped together.
I do find it curious that it also works with the Tab A 10" so I may still get one as that is the tablet my wife has. I'll see how many pins are on her Tab A 10" before I buy it though.
Additional findings. After much research the POGO charger is for the Tab S4 2018 and the Tab A 10 2018 model. Supposedly not compatible with the older Tab A. Though my S4 is arriving soon and I've ordered the POGO charger so I'll look into whether or not it is compatible with the older hardware but my guess is still no.

Both my Tab S4 and the Pogo charger arrived yesterday. I can confirm it will not charge the Tab S3 as the pins are not the same at all. I didn't try to put the Tab S3 in the charger in case it would ruin it and I don't want that. It does work great with the Tab S4.

Thanks for trying it... Grrr Samsung!

Dock or Micro USB cable with audio out

Hi all,
I was looking out for a dock with audio out, but couldn't find one apart from genuine Samsung one, designed for galaxy s3 or older one for note, which will be bigger than needed. Unfortunately dock for infuse 4G would be too small...
I wouldn't mind getting Samsung one, but is pretty expensive for what it does.
Other solution I was thinking of is to get micro usb cable that would have a jack out as well as USB out for charging, plug it into dock and then I would have my audio out. But couldn't find anything to be honest. Does it exist?
I search this forum but found nothing.
Please, could you point me in right direction?

100% original.
Only ones I've seen are mini USB for HTC phones so you just use a micro USB adapter to plug it in, and I know they also 11 pin cables but I'm betting it won't work.

I've ordered this one, hasn't arrived yet, but it apparently has the goods! I ordered mine from Australian Ebay (.au), not sure if you get the same options.
I can't post a link, but the ebay item title is..
SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 S 3 III GT-I9300 BLACK DESKTOP CASE DOCK MOUNT CRADLE CHARGER
item number 120926076846
Its quite cheap, that's why I'm getting it.. low risk.
Thanks a lot guys! Dock from Australia looks like will do the job and is a lot cheaper then the USA one, although USA one looks nicer. Still both will do same job so I think I will go for cheaper one!
Thanks again for guys!

Note vs Tab connector?

Do these two tablets use the same connector? All accessories i see on Amazon list the Tab. Specifically I'm after an OTG.

Yes they do, I'm using an original Tab desktop charger dock to charge my Note 10.1. One thing to consider when ordering is the Note is a couple of millimetres wider than the tab if you're ordering a desktop charger (I had to trim mine down slightly).
I use the same OTG adapter on my Note that I used on my Tab and it works without problems.
HTH.

[Q] HDMI/MHL adaptors?

Has anyone been able to connect this tablet to their television? I've bought two different mhl to hdmi adaptors off amazon and I can't get either one to work even though I follow the directions correctly and connect a power source to it. Can anyone post a compatible adaptor I can buy?
edit: That seems kind of too pricy for me. I was just looking for some kind of cable that actually works. Am i the only one with this problem? I had one for my iPad and I was looking for something similar.
I know this may be a little expensive but I used it on last year's Note 10.1 and it works great on the 2014 model as well. I like it because there is no cord stretched out to the tablet.

Got one on eBay.. China knockoff for $15 ..works fine I use it all the time

I originally bought this for my Nexus 7, but it didn't work for my Note:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DWGB6CU/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After reading somewhere that I probably needed one with 11pins, I got this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089VO85A/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Once I hooked it up and connected a power cord to it, it worked like a charm.

I have an OEM MHL adapter that worked on my Note 1 (N7000), but it doesn't work on the Note 10.1 2014 Ed.
Is this normal? They require differente adapters? Or is my tab faulty?
I use the genuine samsung Samsung EPL-3FHUBE MHL which works perfect with my note 10.1 2014. There is an earlier model to this so you may need to do a bit more reading. But this one is perfect.

[Q] Can I use my Note 2 charger to charge my tablet and vise versa?

I just recently got a Galaxy Note 2 and I"m wondering if the chargers are interchangable between the phone and the tablet. Also any cool tips on how to use my note 2 and note 10.1 2014 together would be appreciated
I'm also kind of curious as to what color charger came with the black model? My black model came with a white charger which I thought was odd.

Yes the chargers are interchangeable but the one that comes with the tablet might have a higher output and charge faster.
They are both 2amp chargers so I wouldn't think you would see a difference using either one
the tablet charger is at 5.3V and the phone is at 5V. it doesn't seem to do any harm, but i can't say about long term effects.
so the 5v works fine in the tablet, but possible ill effects if you use the 5.3V(tablet charger) on the phone.

Just ordered a gen samsung keyboard for tab2

Hi I own a note 10.1 2012 model and bought a genuine samsung keyboard k12 I think but the size and pins are the same so my question is will it work on the note 10.1 I, m aware that the k14 is the correct model number for the note, but the tab 10.1 keyboard is much cheaper and still available. I will get it by monday so fingers crossed it will work fine? Your thoughts please?
Jay
I believe that the Note 10.1 is too big to fit into that keyboard dock unfortunately.

Really? I thought the tab2 10.1 and note 10.1 was same size all round?
No you are right note case is about 10mm wider I've canceled the order thanks for the quick reply it saved me time and money glad I joined this forum now!
Many thanks link6155 for the heads up?
I just wondered I have a docking station and if I got a double headed cable linking to keyboard to docking station then stick the note on top of the docking station would it pick up the keyboard?

Since they both have the same number of pins, I think it would work, but I could be wrong. I have a HDMI dock designed for the Tab 7.0. At first, my Note 10.1 wouldn't fit into the tray since it was designed for the Tab 7.0, however, once I cut the whole front side off and trimmed the side down, it worked flawlessly with my Note 10.1

There is always some kind of modding that works well shame we have to resort to getting around the individual 30Pin system
I bought the EDD-D100BE docking station awhile back because I couldn't decide whether to go blue tooth keyboard and use the dock.
I didn't fancy paying the £50 odd pounds for a K14 either.
I like the K14 for only one reason it won't drain out the battery from blue tooth being on. But then again there is no battery compartment for the keyboard either??
Looks like I can buy a female 30 pin to 30 pin male so in theory the female 30 pin should plug into the cheap K12 keyboard then the male end plugs into the docking station and the Note 10.1 sits nicely on the docking station 30 pin?
£5.00 for the cable
£19.00 for the K12?
Total= £24.00 half the price of a K14. Its a long winded way of getting around this problem which leads me back to a generic Bluetooth keyboard, but it can be charged whilst on a docking station plugged into the charger?
I've ordered a OTG female USB cable for the docking station and I'm going to try it with my Logitech keyboard or mouse first.
I can see in reality you would only spend that kind of money if you typed a lot, but I can see majority most people who have bought a K14 doesn't really use it that much?
i have a genuine samsung keyboard for a tab 10.1 and it don't fit my note 10.1 i was looking at getting one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190890800981?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
or just get my dremil out and file out 5mm from each side of the keyboard.
I could Carol but Dremeling a brand new not fitting keyboard seems just wrong LOL!
It would be risky to stress that small adapter point it could break?
I've found a possible solution to my needs .
I found a dedicated three port USB 2.0 adapter for the note 10.1
The difference on this one is there is a small charge port (DC5V) that has an external power supply to feed any portable devices like flash drives or keyboards. The problems with the current adapters seems to me that if it uses the note's power directly it will not recognise the device as it draws too much power from the Note so if there is a external power source actually on the USB adapter it should just pick up data passes instead?
Here is what I'm considering
Sorry cant post link so will give you Egay id no.
eBay item number:
200868036002
The only thing I would like to know is will the Note only pick up one device at a time if I have three USB ports connected to it?
It would be nice to run a USB keyboard and mouse at the same time using an external 5V power supply and not drain out the Note?
i have done it i removed the black surround and cut away the bottom section and it works needs a bit of trimming.
the keyboard i used was a uk one as it has the £ sign on the number 3 button all the one's on ebay don't
have that.

Nice modding can't hardly see the cuts guessing a bit of light sanding with dremel and it would look OEM! :good:
My USB OTG connector came and very happy.
I've tested my Logitech anywhere MX mouse and work a treat!
The Logitech(EX110) keyboard works well.
The SD card reader picks up all is good (scan disk)
The set up now is the note is on the docking station and the 30pin connection is connected to the USB and all works well together!
I don't need to buy a mouse or keyboard anymore as I can use the desktop ones aswell £3 well spent!
Did try the flash drive and external hardrive and demands too much power for connection, but I'll buy that three USB self powered one for testing next and see if it will work?
Just found an old hub and testing went well dual keyboard and mouse working perfectly also recognises the SD card reader to boot!
