Missing Pixel 2 XL live wallpapers - Google Pixel 3 XL Themes, Apps, and Mods

Does anyone know how to get those same Pixel 2 XL live wallpapers in to our new Pixel 3 XL? I figured they'll be there along with the new ones but I do think see them.
Edit:
Here is a link to a post that has an APK that works very well:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74142755

I just Googled the apk and installed it, works perfectly.

I've seen a few but I wasn't sure if it will be a true "living things" type. I think there may be a difference between a live wallpaper and what Google is doing with theses. So I was hoping to just pull each one into the same folder or something. As I understand, the APK has been modified with a different name and there were some changes done for battery draining and such. Seems like there should be a way to just pull a file from one library and put it in another. Unless those files are in a system folder and root is needed.

I would be surprised if someone doesn't whip something up fairly soon. For now you can indeed install the ported P2 wallpaper and it will be fully functional and work fine. There will be a few dupes but they wont conflict and either can be set as wallpaper. In theory with root you should be able to do what you described btw, sounds like Magisk is sorted out and should be available soon.

Edited top post with a link to one that worked well for me. It actually added them to live wallpapers section in the Google wallpapers app. I don't know about battery life yet but it seems ok so far.

[How to] Beach & Windmill Live Wallpapers With No Watermark

If like me you really like the provided Beach and WindGenerator live wallpers but hate the Accuweather.com watermark in the top left, you can now remove this thanks to Rawat taking the APK files and making them available for other devices in the thread below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048939
Download them and, providing your Galaxy S II is rooted, using Root Explorer, go into /system/app and rename SecretWallpaper1.apk and SecretWallpaper2.apk and the two corresponding odex files to back them up then copy the two downloaded apk files into the same folder. Reboot.
Doesn't work on mine.
Crashes.. idiot didn't back up original. Can someone post secret wallpaper 1 apk and odex ..thanks

Ignore.. works after recopying a second time.

Changed first post to suggest backup in case something goes wrong.
Thanks worked for me as well.
Thx for the link it works fine!
I got bad battery life with these (was on KDD at that time, though). So, had to uninstall couple of days later and replace with the original ones. Battery life returned to normal then.
Thanks! Works perfect.

Didn't effect my battery life at all.
Just thought I'd bump this given that none of the new builds come with these live wallpapers to my knowledge. I have just put the apk files into /system/app on Cognition 1.5 (no need to replace anything like in the first post as they don't exist) and they work fine once rebooted. So I suspect they would work fine on any of the other new builds should you want these wallpapers back.
would it be possible to somehow disable all the updating?
i froze the accuweather because I do not need it. and I don't really want this theme to rain. i just want the beach.
is there a way to disable night&day as well?
all i really want is the soothing waves rolling in on the beach during daytime
Is there any way to do this without rooting the phone?
If i want to install it now, it just says it already exists and i can't override it.
Is there maybe one where you install it under another apk name.
gr8 worked on CheckROM v4

I really want to know it...I've searched everywhere for this Live Wallpaper, even just to see it...but never found it, and on the Asus Trasformer I didn't found it too!!!
Anyone have it or at least know where to find/see it???
I've tried to find an "alternative" to this semi live wallpapers
..and it's ok!!!
Download from the Play Sto re the "Day Night Live wallpaper" ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tneele.daynightlwp ) and with it you can set four different images who will change following the current daytime...so you can set the asus wallpapers from the original Day Scene live wall (I've found them here on xda) and you're done!
Use the day one for dawn/day and the other two for dusk and night..voilĂ !!!

Yes...it's a very good thing to have a "SEMI" Live Wallpaper...theorically the battery will last more without "live" animations...
Anyway...with this trick the whole thing work like the original one: downloading this Live Wallpaper from the market and set a different ASUS image for a specific day time (dawn, day, dusk and night) result exactly the same live wallpaper as the original ASUS Day Scene...
Well...maybe a dev can work on the original one to make it compatible with S2...but for now this solution it's good...

i totally agree with you, every feature google is giving out with 4.4 is way before developed by devs here , and yes they will continue the development even further 4.4 , so we do not at all need to mind about googles decision...

No... because it depends on systemUI and android.policy.jar
You should mod it

Strange, on my phone, after installer a couple of kitkat apps (google services, hangout, camera, keep, search, clock) there is no more "contacts" nor "phone calls" (the dialler) to be seen in my apps panel. Can't call anybody anymore :/
and hangout is always slow as hell to launch and work with (tends to kind of "freeze" on an empty screen page while loading / waiting for god knows what). Was used to this lagggggy UI with hangout, but it can't be so sluggish for SMS.

Try greenify from the play store. Your phone might be running out of memory or over loading the CPU. I don't have a single problem. The hangout app actually works faster than the SMS app for me!
Really weird that the phone and contacts apps disappeared though. Something went wrong somewhere. If you don't want to wipe then you can probably dirty flash your ROM to get them back.

No. It doesn't work yet. It FC's. Something is required somewhere. If we figure out what it is then I or someone will post it for you.
I've gotten all the Kitkat apps on my phone and I have no problems at all. I'm glad to see they finally updated their ugly email app. And the camera rotates a lot faster than before. Google Now is awesome. I had mixed feelings about the new launcher at first but its growing on me. The keyboard seems more responsive too. Also, the hangouts app isnt all that laggy for me. It does take a second to load everything when forst opened but after that, its fine. SMS works great with it in my case. Overall, they are great updates. I can't wait to try out the Kitkat OS.

First of all, I downloaded apps from here:
http://www.droid-life.com/2013/10/3...om-the-nexus-5-dump-search-launcher-and-more/
After you get them on your sdcard, most of them can just be installed like normal apk files.

I dont know why people have been having issues. I'm running Kitkat right now. But when I installed all these apps on Jelly Bean, they were running fine for me.

This is just a thought. But when I installed most of these, I was installing them over system apps or I was moving them to system/app to make them system apps. Maybe that makes a difference.
Anyone using the new Google Keyboard? I found out you can type a whole sentence now with the swipe guesture without raising your finger. The space bar is recognized as a swipe input now. I think the developer(s) of the Swype keyboard did that not that long ago but now its in the stock keyboard. Just thought I'd share.
When you were running on jelly bean, did you had any problems receiving or sending any MMS on hangouts?

HTC Blinkfeed on my GNexus!

I know most of you don't care about HTC "bloatware" and you probably think Sense would be an abomination on any Nexus device, but I am a huge Blinkfeed fan and I was able to install it by following the instructions listed here:

Autumn Leaves on Water Live Wallpaper missing after update to Lollipop?

Hey everyone
I just updated my M8 (stock, no root) to Lollipop, and I noticed the Live Wallpaper with the leaves on the water is missing. Is there any way I can download it from somewhere and add it again? Do you guys have it?
Thanks!
[bumping for visibility after thread move]
Try the app called zegde......may be worth a shot.
I'll try, thank you.
Can anyone else who's updated to Lollipop confirm that specific Live Wallpaper has been removed?
I can't fathom why, either.

Is there any way to extract that specific live wallpaper from another stock phone and insert it into the Lollipop M8?

I can confirm. I have the 2nd gen moto g xt1068 and I lost it too. I wish they'd warned us. I have a family member with dementia who gets agitated. I'd bring that image up through the choose wallpapers menu and he found it very soothing to look at. It was a godsend at the emerg. I'm also looking for a way to re-install it. I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354783 but I can't seem to get it to install. I'll post back if I have any luck.

I think you need root access to write LiveWallpapers.apk in the correct folder, which I lack, cos the M8 I'm working on isn't mine personally, and I'm not about to go fiddling with root access on someone else's phone
Also I think LiveWallpapers.apk can only be installed on the same model of phone it was extracted from...
I had posted in this forum to see if anyone know how to extract a specific live wallpaper from LiveWallpapers.apk, and install it as an external live wallpaper, but no one seems to know how it works
