Should work on AICP 14.0

Update v3.0.2
- Updated display driver for non-original screens
- The use of full source code provided an increase in CPU up to 2.5 GHz maximum (as originally planned)
- Min GPU 27 MHz ( less battery consumption is expected)

The kernel should work on all N, O and P ROMs for sure, as it's based on my Sony msm8974 fork, which Z1 has all those capabilities

Does the kernel work on Android 9?
Does the kernel work on Android 9? I tried to put, after the installation got a black screen.

The screen is not native, is it a problem? Do you think this can be fixed?
After the kernel firmware there is no image.
TWRP also black screen, version 3.0.1
After reinstalling, TWRP works, but the firmware does not load (black screen).
But if you connect the charging cable, charging is displayed on the screen.

I used the fixed display drivers to make the non-original screen work ( Changed the kernel sources are based on changes SpiritCroc)
What kernel version do you install? And what's your ROM?

Strange, but this is kernel tested on this ROM and everything is working.
Did you install Magisk? You try again flash ROM without wipe, then flash RZ-kernel.

First, thanks for your work, everything works fine, I've got no issue on AICP 8.1. :highfive:
I was wondering if you can give a profile or the best setting for more batterie saving pls

Can this be used on Stock based roms ?
No install hiccups, running smoothly.
BTW, which governor gives a better battery life, not compromising on the performance extensively, but little above balanced?
Thanks

Works Fine and fast....
CPU underclocking is THE BEST
I have a doubt : Under the Hotplug[CPU] Should the MPDecision be Enabled for the kernel addon MSM MPDecision Hotplug to work? ALSO should i Disable faux's Intelliplug?

Thanks for your answer. What do you mean with CAF? I'm on Blisspop v3.3; 5.1.1
D803 will not be until there is source code Lollipop for him?
So blisspop 3.4 Compatible ? Is it the same kernel as in blisspop 3.4 ?
Can I use kernel auditore or should I remove it and use synapse?

As far as I know blisspop 3.3 is not caf cause it's on jb boot stack

yes it's compatible
you can use both
Great kernel, only a single bug in synapse using the posted UKM:
Under Misc, the default power suspend mode is set to User Mode. Below it is a bar named "Power Suspend State". Changing its value to anything but 0 causes com.af.synapse.utils.RunCommandFailedException: echo: write error: Invalid argument
Using RR5.1.1 CAF on a d802.

FAQ
F.A.Q. - Read this before complaining!
1. My phone exploded, HELP!
A: I don't answer to problems without a log. The log file is in /proc/last_kmsg. Paste it on hastebin.com and link it on your post. Logcats are useless for Kernel purposes, don't bother posting them.
2. This kernel works on Y or X rom?
A: Works on all CM13 based roms. Not for stock roms!!
3. OMG BATTERY SUCKZ, ITZ DEAD IN 45 MINUTES, HELP!
A: As you can imagine I don't build kernels to decrease battery life. All the battery life problems come from your apps, either Facebook, or Maps, or some Location Service being enabled etc etc. Check your damn wakelocks and fix them, the kernel is not responsible for them.
4. How do I flash this?
A: Read the OP, theres a reason why I added instructions on it.
5. What is a data loss? Did I just had one?
A: Data loss is simply having the connection cut for X periods of time, usually few seconds. Grey bars means the device is not connected to Google services for some weird reason, but you'll still have internet connection.
6. OP is arrogant, I'm gonna call the Internet Police?
A: Deal with it.[/QUOTE]
Info
Many thanks to showp1984 for this info
What is msm_mpdecision?
100% kernel based multi core decision! (should cpu1/2/3 be online or not?)
This is a special version modded by neobuddy Plus the idle frequency and some load thresholds have been adjusted by me.
Some Configuration:
startdelay = time until mpdecision starts doing it's magic (20000)
delay = time between checks (130)
pause = if something else plugs in the cpu, fall asleep for 10000ms (10 secs)
scroff_single_core = if the screen is off, don't plug in cpu1/2/3. Additionally: Unplug all cpus except cpu0 when screen is turned off (1)
enabled = enable(1) or disable(0) mpdecision. This does not affect scroff_single_core!
min_cpus = min cpus to be online, cannot be < 1. Default: 1
max_cpus = max cpus to be online, cannot be > 4. (if you set it to 2 and min_cpus to 1 you will basically have a dualcore) Default: 4
idle_freq = a value against that will be checked if a core +/- is requested. (600 MHz)
mpdecision's input event boost, aka project butter
This will boost your min cpu speed if you touch the screen or press a button and gives you full control.
In those events the min cpu freq will be risen to a predefined value on every online cpu. This boosts overall reaction times and smoothness a lot. (works similar to the qcom mpdecision binary)
So here's the surprise
Hello folks,
I am using my own optimised builds since initial phase of CM13. Rom and kernel are both build with Uber 5.2.1 and few more optimisations on the kernel (It's same like in the first post). The Uber Toolchain developer said due to new neon optimisations in Uber toolchains, the battery life has increased by 25%. Well using since a long time, I almost get 6hrs+ SOT(Ofcourse will vary with you) and a mindblowing performance. So I am going to provide weekly Uber CM13 builds with optimisations(It is somewhat close to pf-cm by Diamond Bond). The people interested, could use it , It will stay really close to CM and few picks here and there. I would really appreciate feedbacks I am using the build posted and it's really rock stable.
Download :-
All optimised buildshttps://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=44644
Installation :-
A clean wipe is mandatory.
Wipe cache,dalvik cache, system, data
Flash the zip
Flash gapps ( I use slim zero gapps)
Reboot, Enjoy!

I'm currently using cm 13 which has no Major issues as of now , so is this rom(dec 2 build) Recommend or should I wait for future builds ?

Maybe for all ROM.
I use Citrus CAF ROM, no problem.
When the next version will be released?
Is possible to use the file "zImage" inside DarkMoon-Kernel-z2_plus-Release-002.zip and use
Code:
fastboot flash boot zImage
to flash kernel instead of use TWRP Install method?
Thanks
oh, OC clocks were removed I liked hitting 160k on antutu just for fun haha

Ahahahah
Anyway I removed them because already weren't working. Maybe I'll add them another time in the future but the problem is to make them working without set them as default. Setting an overclock value as default is something that I don't want to do

Technically for all the custom ROMs nougat, then I heard some people that said it works on the marshmallow ROMs and on the stock ROMs too. I only can grant for the custom ROMs (it seems not the Jaguar... Lol) so I don't know about the zui. If you want to try and then tell us it will be very appreciated.

I didn't know how to say that. When connected to a USB port of a computer or something like that is the meaning. I haven't hearing issues, others have. I'll try to fix these completely with the next release. I hope you will like the kernel
Does it has any impact in the battery life of the phone ? If so its better or worse ?

I'm not really a stock rom guy, I always prefer custom rom. I was only confirming whether is it for stock or custom cause I didn't wanted to go through making nandroid backup and etc. I did try the kernel and I liked it, nice work.

No, no impacts at the battery life, just the charging speed changes. It can't damage the battery because with a normally charge it still charge faster
Hey DD3Boh, a bit offtopic since I didn't find the specific thread, but are you still updating Darkness Redefined or now you're only developing this Kernel and Citrus? I saw some people asking about it on zukfans's thread but you seem to be more active here lately.

still not working. Here what i did:
1. copy file "qca_cld3_wlan.ko" from WiFi_fix.zip
2. I didn't know where the file should excatly be,so I paste the file in 2 places:
- vendor/lib/
- vendor/lib/modules/
3. set permission 644 for the file in both places - vendor/lib/ and - vendor/lib/modules/
4. reboot
any ideas?
