Honor 8X Pricing and Availability - Honor 8X Guides, News, & Discussion

The Honor 8X went through a series of launches all over the world at different times. If this has left you a bit confused about which countries it's actually available in, you're not the only one. In this thread I'll try to provide as much information as possible about the pricing and availability of this phone.
The Honor 8X is officially available in the following countries:
India ₹14999.00
Singapore [Unknown price]
Philippines [Unknown price]
Belarus [Unknown price]
Egypt £4,888
Pakistan Rs 35,999
South Africa [Unknown price]
Farsi [Unknown price]
Levant [Unknown price]
Spain €249.00
Czech Republic Kč 6,999
Serbia [Unknown price]
Bulgaria [Unknown price]
Hungary [Unknown price]
Poland PLN 1,299
Malasia RM 949.00
Finland [Unknown price]
There is no information on if this phone will ever be making its way to the U.S.A. For I while I thought it was, and was even given a price that it was going to be sold at, but never received any updates on that. If you live in the U.S.A. and what to get this phone, they're going for around $260 on ebay.

says that they are planning to release it in the U.S. but they haven't given a date yet https://www.notebookcheck.net/Honor-8X-smartphone-now-official-for-U-S-market.336630.0.html

A quick google search of "Honor 8X USA" yields tons of articles that state it WILL be released in USA this year, but that a date and price have not been revealed as of yet.

Unfortunately there's no black one offered a.t.m.
but I guess that's just a matter of time then
Will definitly give it a try once available...

not too sure about this, the cover is should be half plastic and half metal, the gs2 and note also have similar covers, but they dont have nfc, these are made in china and is mainly for the asian market, in which nfc only plays a minor part of the phone.
Wonder how hard it will be to get it into the bottom clip things, I find myself having to bend the stock one to get it in neatly!
Does anyone have a better picture of the cover in question or a similar one for the SGS2?
I would so order one for my extended battery, and use one metal for extended and another metal for the standard battery. The #1 cheap thing on this phone is the back, and this would totally solve this
I really want someone to buy one of these and give a review for the rest of us.

do you wan to try.
I ordered both the Dark Blue one and the Grey one.
The seller has 6 different listings, one for each color so beware that you pick the right one before buying, or you might end up with a purple one !
I'll let you guys know how it fits and looks with pictures once I receive them!
Just ordered the Grey one.
I've saved the auction for the gray one. Waiting for your reviews to decide
I've heard that these may be aluminium coated plastic, or aluminium with plastic parts, can someone confirm when theirs arrives? They do look rather good.

I have stated this on the first page.
Other colours with better pictures. Same seller though. Definitely looks to be aluminum on plastic... which is what most of the metal backs for SGS2 and iPhone 4 are. They look nice.
Black
Silver
Red
already have one on order
i ordered the dark blue one... its coming from china so when it gets here ill take pics and give u guys a review, give it a week or so... keep u guys updated...

I'm not sure which colour you were looking at, but on the Black and Silver pages 'United Kingdom' is not listed under the exclusions and it's available in the drop down for calculating shipping rates. It's possible they have amended the exclusions since you posted as well, but good news either way

[Battery] Original s2 2000mah battery with back cover.

Dear All,
i leave in malaysia, i have been searching around the battery, couldn't get either local store or even online (i have been google it or most of the famous online store like ebay.) if any of you did know where can i get it, please do let me know. Thanks.
Sun Global has 1850 mAh batteries,, a lot of dealers sell them on the lowyat forum.
it's the same size as the original so you won't need a back cover.. (;
however "ienergy" have 2000mAh but I don't know much details about this brand

Hi angelios,
thanks for your reply, actually my back cover was in bad shape (i know samsung s2 original 2000mah battery did free a original back cover), so is economy for me to replace that.
did sun global 1850mah can last longer than 2000mah? i means in term of heavy usage.

If I buy a Tab S in the US and sent it to myself in Europe?

I am thinking about buying a Tab S in the US and having it sent to me in Europe because even with shipping it is significantly cheaper than buying here. (Nice little Samsung pricing scam: $399 in US and 399 euros here - a 35% difference!!!!) Is there likely to be a warranty problem OR, more importantly, activation or OS upgrade issues, IMEI or CSC problems? I know it can sometimes be a problem with activations on their phones if they are activated out-of-region.
arent most electronics more expensive in europe though? im thinking of buying from amazon too but only for non-LTE one.
the tab s is currently being sold in bahrain only the LTE version and as im a cheapskate i'll wait for the wifi versions in saudi
Warranty could be an issue as you would probably have to send it to the States for service. I purchased the Hong Kong version of the 7.7 and received what updates there were without any problems. Activation was not a problem either other than the opening screen being in Chinese.

They seem more expensive here, but as I pointed out 399 in dollars and 399 in euros. It's like Samsung doesn't really want price parity. I should have said I want the wifi only, so I don't know if activation, IMEI and CSC matter.
I dont know the Greek rules.
But if I was to ship it to the Netherlands I would have to pay
Initial purchase (no sales tax)
Shipping
Import tax
Sales tax over purchase price and shipping (21%)
Import handeling fee for your shipper (UPS, Fedex??)
A quick calculation shows I finnaly would have to pay 415 euros. Hardly a bargain.
If you send as a personal item / used electronics / (ahem) warranty repair [emoji12], all those problems go away - at least here. The one thing you do not do is send in an unopened factory box so they do not think you just bought it.
I live in France, I bought my Tab S 10.5 LTE on an Italian website.
I called Samsung France. The warranty is European, not worldwide. No problem for me.
The tab cost 100€ less than in France.
With shipping fees, I paid 512€ instead of 600€ in France.
Cool. What's the Italian site?
www.hw1.it
They only have the LTE version in Italy, no wifi only.
The price of the tab S offered on the italian site, with 3g/4g, is the same at the wifi-only version everywhere else. So, I am thinking, why not buy the 3g/4g+wifi. I never have to use the data connection, but if I ever desparately need 3g/4g, I can drop a SIM card into it. Hmmm. not a bad idea at all.
I bought my Tab S on the day of release in the US and walked back into the UK with it saving about 100 quid. I have added my device to my Samsung devices page and entered the serial number with no issues so guessing that as long as they don't want a receipt of purchase then warranty should not be an issue.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
When I asked Samsung France about European warranty, they answered me "As long as you have the bill/receipt, it is ok, your Italian tablet is under warranty in France too"

I want to buy the 8.4 lte unit as it is the same price as the wifi only version elsewhere, but I find it a little discomforting that the price is 100 euros cheaper than it will be offered elsewhere. Should I be concerned about the product this website is offering?
I'm not sure to understand your word...
Yes I bought the LTE version on this Italian website same price than wifi version in France, and I'm very happy with it.
I was in holiday this week, far from any wifi access point, I was very happy to have the LTE version (with my multi sim data plan).
Price in France for wifi version : http://www.materiel.net/tablette-tactile/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-blanc-105481.html
Price in Italy for LTE version : http://www.hw1.it/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-5-sm-t805ntsaitv/
Take the 8.4inch, for example. The French site's price for the wifi-only tablet is the normally suggested 399 euro price. The wifi/4g-lte version is recommended to sell for 499 euros in Europe. But the Italian site is selling that one for 399 euros - a 100 euros discount (discount similar to the 10.5 inch prices). So my question is: are you satisfied with product you got from the Italian site because I think the price is quite low compared to what it is "supposed" to be.
Well it seems the price is normal in Italy, if you check some comparing Italian websites.
Yes I couldn't be more satisfied, I really recommend this website.
I asked some info in English by mail, they called me on my phone to confirm the tracking number of the package...
I was afraid when I paid, but now I'm very happy.

I choosed hw1.it because they ship in France.

I am from Austria also tinking about ordering eg. at Amazon.it to have 30 days trial (cant be ordered in Germany from Austria right now) ...
Is it ok to flash an Austian Version e.g. CSC: T705ATO1ANF1 ???
1 will knox be triggered ?
2 is there any difference regarding GSM/LTE frequency bands or do all european devices have the same circuit boards ? One can look this up e.g. with myphoneexplorer (\System\build.prop Austria: ro.product.board=universal5420)

The phone will be available in the Netherlands through belsimpel.nl. It's on the website and soon becomes available with pay monthly options.
Also waiting. Not available for Belgium
Still no news for us ?
No news from there side about the Netherlands or Belgium. I am not sure it will come even coolblue doesnt know it yet if they will sell him. I ordered one in the US and family there will send it to me. I dont want to wait on it.
But if you want him you can drive to Germany only in the US he is cheaper because the dollar is lower then the euro
Will the phone even work in Europe, if ordered from US? I'm talking about network compatibility and power adapter (different voltage and freq. in US)
@luka46
I did chat with razer first before ordering. The phone works in europe and you can order a europe adapter at there store extra. The different voltage is in the adapter so it will work.
