Which sky apps do you use ?

Just the SkyGo one usually

SkyGo mainly but the Sky Store occasionally.

I got mate 20x Al00, sky sports app won't work. Says device not authorised. Any help appreciated.

Just to offer my input. I have the international version L29 and use Sky go daily, no issues

I got sky sports TV through Vodafone. The app worked in my mi max 2, rooted with magisk hide, but won't work on my mate 20 X AL00 unrooted+! Not really sure what to do, as can't even root device now as no unlock codes. This is the best phone I've ever had with the worst skin and terrible open source support.

EA's Monopoly Classic HD not working?

I have a problem with EA's Android games: Monopoly Classic HD, The Sims 3, Need for Speed: Shift... Most notably, I'd like to get Monopoly Classic HD working, since it's just an awesome game and everything, but the problem is, it doesn't.
There are two versions, and neither works properly on my Desire:
- Version 0.0.30 is apparently meant specifically for Snapdragon processors, but upon starting the app it'll just show a black screen and then FC out. Same problem with The Sims 3 and Need for Speed: Shift, even though those too are supposed to be meant for Snapdragon!
- Version 0.0.42 is meant for Hummingbird processors, but somehow this one starts up just fine, and I can even play it normally for hours on end... if I'm lucky. At random times (sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes a few hours) it'll freeze up the ENTIRE phone, and all I can do is pull the battery to fix it.
So as you can see, neither version works as it should, and I'd like to know if there's anything I can do about that. I'm posting this here because I suspect this problem is ROM-based; otherwise, the 0.0.30 Snapdragon version should be working just fine, no?
Anyhow, this is my setup: RCMix S 2.0.1 which is a 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM with snq- v6 kernel and A2SD.
Any help? Could it have anything to do with the app not supporting Gingerbread? I've heard reports of the sort; something to do with the accelerometer. If that's so, anything I can do?
Bump, it's been a while. Anyone?
I am having a similar problem as well on my HTC G2
I get the same black screen and FC for the 0.30 version
For the 0.42 version, the app installs and downloads the necessary files for setup (20mb) but has an error during setup
Error airplay v4.3.0
cannot open file... did yo inlude this file in your mkb's "assets" block?
or something along those lines. i have no idea what to do
please help
I'm running Gingerbread on my HTC Desire (InsertCoin 2.1+3.0 ROM) and have had no problems running NFS Shift or Tetris HD (another EA Android title). Granted I don't own the Sims or Monopoly, but I don't think the problem is related to GB.
for the arm cortex android devices you have to find the right version of the game. try on www.allo-mobile.com >register > search for monopoly arm cortex
same issue here with Samsung Droid Charge:
got an error message saying, "Airplay v4.3.0 [250761]) Cannot open file ./iwui_style/fonts_max/iwui_fonts.group.bin for serialising (read). Did you include this file in your mkb's "assets" block?"
I had it running fine until a week or so ago, and then it said there was an update, then I lost it. I was running Froyo at the time (which it did freeze up as the OP mentioned). But now I've got GB and would love to have this back. Wondering if EA is behind this nonsense.

Oh man that sucks. Yea, its really sad that the amazon app store is only for US customers. I would rip the app from my phone and upload it here, since it seems to be the only working copy that I have found, but I'm pretty sure you need the proprietary app in order for this to run as well. Sorry...
I have the Android Epic 4g from Sprint. I originally had EA's Monopoly but it appears around the time of the upgrade to gingerbread, that I started getting the following message when i would try to open the game:
EA monopoly error (airplay v4.3.0 [250761]) cannot open file ./iwui_style/fonts.group.bin for serialising (read). Did you include this file in your mkb's "assets" block?
I've tried deleting & reloading game & rebuying but to not avail. If anyone has the answer, please let us know.....Currently Disappointed!
Same problem on Inspire 4g. solutions anybody?
Having the same problem on My Xperia Arc, seems like the new version of the game is faulty.

Slow response time and SD reformat
This ROM was very slow and unresponsive. It's slower than most ROM's I've used. The screen response time took more than 5 seconds to change in between apps. It also forced me to reformat my external SD card for the phone. These are only bugs I've noticed and there are more that I haven't mentioned. I've used ROM's that were bloated with many features and they've outperformed better than this. There should be more beta testing on several phones before making it official.
---------- Post added at 08:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:50 PM ----------
I've noticed that it doesn't auto detect the current country you're located in. I'm in the United States and it's telling me I'm in Moscow or some other country. Plus it won't let me access Google services such as YouTube or the Playstore. The Swype feature is also nonexistent. It works then it stops for no reason. What's the deal with this losing network when I'm trying to watch movies or play games that require connection? I swear this ROM is bipolar!?! Deleting and restoring original ROM.

(Guide) Mate 20 X Chinese version for use outside of China

Hey friends,
This is for those of us who are importing the Chinese model.
I thought I'd start this thread, so that we can help each other getting this phone working here in the West. I've never had trouble getting Chinese phones working in the past. I'm hoping that we can discuss some major issues, such as: getting the Google Playstore working & Getting Google Services working....Getting our favorite apps working... :fingers-crossed:

You're correct. It's a few you have to install, not just the play store apk.

#_# Thank god.. for a little there I was scared lol. Never bought a china phone before but this phone looks absolutely amazing.. Have a friend coming back from China tmrw so asked them to pick it up for me before they left and they got me the last one in the store that was 8/256gb. Honestly I'm really hoping for a bootloader unlock and linage OS.. I've come to really love their flavor.
Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Yes there may be a few things you will need to do, because in China they have banned Google and Google Play. These things will need to be installed manually. Hopefully with Android 9 they've made it easier, not harder than previous years.
After installing the Play Store are you good to go then in terms of being able to install whatever you want (Google suite, traditional apps, etc.)?
I'm sorry but there are a lot of problems with a Chinese smartphone:
1) Ok google does not work because huawei blocks this function because you have to use their service and all google's system services (assistent, feed, routine) not work fine
2) The voice command on the keyboard for dictate often does not work expecially with gboard
3) Many application not work eg : banking application and similar
4) The chinese ROM not use whatsapp, telegram the native icon
It seems to get a little bit better each version of Android. I'm hoping that some of the older problems will be fixed with Huawei's Android 9.0 release.
Right now pretty much everything I need is working on my Huawei Mate 9 and as long as they haven't broken anything in the next version, I'll be happy. All my apps work, and I am very happy with Nova Launcher.

(I could be wrong) ... but the shop does not look very reputable,
and it's only 20 euros cheaper than Cect-shop.com
Speaking from my own experience. Usually I installed the Google suite from their brands own app store
They have a specific application that installs the framework, Google contact, play services, play store and maybe a couple more services.
After that pretty much everything works. I'll update more when I got my phone.
I can tell you from my experience that when I bought the Huawei Honor Note 8 it was the china version, and had absolutely no issues with it here in the US. Everything I installed worked, the only thing I did have issues with was I couldnt get HiVoice to work in English (Couldnt find any eng version that would work), Ok Google couldnt work due to Hivoice being the default. The other thing I had to tweak was permissions to getting Google voice to work correctly with Android Auto. All the banking and credit card apps worked fine, obviously the wallet program or other things built in didnt work, but wasnt a deal breaker.

Thank you for the store contact, after considering pros and cons I've just ordered the phone from this store. What drives my decision are few simple facts:
I talked to the seller and he assured me that there is no problem with Gapps and payment systems (like GPay). As I'd had a Chinese phone before I was confident in his assurance.
I'm fully aware of problems with G Assistant but I use it primarily as phone tool with Android Auto and I believe that I could manage to use voice in that restricted purpose.
I don't use voice with the keyboard, health or fitness apps at all. So any misconduct regarding those apps doesn't worry me. It's the same with whatsapp and telegram - don't use them.
Far more annoying is the integration of lousy swift keyboard and ms translate into the system and connecting those applications with primary functionality (camera, AR..). They are really far behind Gboard and G Translate and therefore not only pretty useless but rather the disturbance in the system. But they are integrated into the global rom as well and you can't get rid of them in any region. So tolerate them and suffer or don't have Huawei at all.
But what really prevail in my decision is the fact that I'm buying the phone from a European seller. This not only abolishes any additional taxes and duties on the set price but also gives me an enforceable European warranty and delivery claims.
once you install Google play you can use any app I've never had a problem with WhatsApp or any other app tbh

Advice before I buy, compatible with the Oneplus 3t?

Hi, I am looking to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Watch and my current phone is the OnePlus 3t (old I know, will be looking to upgrade soon), my question is does anybody know how compatible these products are? Will I still be able to use the most important functions, messaging, heart rate, sleep tracking etc
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you!!
It really should, but to be totally sure download the Samsung health and Samsung wearable app and go to a place where they sell the Galaxy watch. If the watch is in a hands on display area you can simply pair it with your phone and check the features.

I've an OP5. I'm not able to install the Samsung Wearable App from playstore, it says app is incompatible. So I downloaded and installed the app from apkmirror and everything is working perfectly. Its syncing and I'm getting notifications. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone.
I have a big problem, the Samsung Wearable app does not work on my Oneplus 5t with root.
Initially it tells me that the app is not compatible with my phone. Then I downloaded the apk, installed, but immediately after it freezes and closes the app.
Please can you help me?
Thank you

Oh I forgot, are you on custom rom or stock OOS? if you are on custom roms then Samsung Wearable App won't work. Wearable App will work with stock OOS rom.
The app is the one I downloaded too. How rom i mounts the OxigenOs with the module for magisk XXX nolimits ..

Flash stock rom and then try..
I'll try it tonight. I hope it works, even if I need to have the root. I have my doubts because the OxigenOs I have now is the stock with the only addition of the Magisk module ..... maybe I try to install TheOne5Tos which is always on a stock basis

only a clarification. but for your Op5 (since it is identical to my Op5t) is the app compatible? were you able to install it directly from the Play Store or did you have to download the apk? Thank you

Pls read posts 3 to 5 . Thanks
I've downloaded the app straight from the playstore and it seems to be working so I think im going to go ahead with purchasing.. if it doesn't work ill follow this advice, thank you!!
Hi guys, just to circumvent you that doing a clean installation of the OxygenOs and doing the root again, everything works.
thanks a lot
I was told the reason Galaxy Watch says it is not compatible with my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge when I try to order it online from Verizon,,,lol is that I had a pixel before the S7 edge and swapped that sim on to my S7 edge and I need a new sim to have the watch be compatible with the Galaxy Watch,,,does this seem okay?
@Archangel I think that is total bs. Why should the SIM Card have an effect on that?
I have an op3T Stock Rom with latest Magisk Root.
In December when I bought the Watch everything was fine. I even could download all necessary apps from the Play Store. However, since two weeks I cannot update or re-download the Apps because my phone became unsupported.
After some Googling I found out in the Samsung Support Forums that some people claim that the issue is Knox which does not want to work with unlocked bootloader or rooted phones and somehow magisk is unable to hide it from the app/play store? https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Smartphones-Tablets-Wearables/All-gear-Fit-Applications-quot-Not-Compatible-with-your-device/td-p/295918
I hope they will lax these restrictions because rooting a phone is almost normal for android power users..

HBO Go app missing for the Fold

I noticed after the latest update with the Fold (AT&T version purchase at Best buy back in November 2019) caused my HBO GO app not to work. When I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, I noticed there are no HBO apps available for download now. When I went to the web and found a link to the app, it says that it's not compatible with my phone. I'm confused. It worked fine for months and now it's gone? I have a Galaxy Fold and not a Huawei or other Chinese knock off brand. Is there anyway to get this app working on the Fold?
Couldn't you try sodeload the app they most likely not made it combatable with android q 10
I'm still on Android 9 with AT&T. Does that make a difference? I had the app on my Fold and working months before.
Working fine here... Fold 5G, android 10.
Thanks, I got it working on my official AT&T Galaxy Fold (USA) model by downloading the latest version from APK Mirror.

Do use the Max Go app as well? Are you seeing a message in the app that they won't be supporting to Fold starting April 30th? I wonder why?
No, European (I guess) HBO Go app from Play Store. I get no warnings at all.
