Phone always awake & massive battery drain - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

So I've had this problem for a while now where the phone would be awake for longer than my screen has been on. I would usually get around 10-12% of standby drain overnight.
But since this morning the problem has gotten way worse; the phone has been awake for pretty much every second with 20% overnight drain (I've attached a screenshot below).
How should I go about troubleshooting the issue?
I'm using the Indian variant with 6 gb and I'm currently on MIUI 10.0.2.

Battery Drain Because of Continue High Cpu Frequency Bug
Some Persons Solve this Bug in Miui 10.0.3.

Not solved!
I have also Redmi Note 5 global version with latest MIUI 10.2.1.0 stable and no root just unlocked bootloader and face the same problem!
A big thumb down to Xiaomi.
Maybe chinese try to spy people? Bugs like this should be addressed asap but it seems they are still in place, version after version.
With this big battery we should not face issues of this kind and have battery life over 2 days if this bugs would be resolved!
There a question in my mind: why the hell all manufacturers go for encapsulated phones where you cannot take the battery out??? Devices need current nonstop, even when they're off, for what??? Conspiracy?
Still, what we should do in order to repair our problems, without rooting if it is possible! I know rooting solves a lot of bugs but I'd like to keep it simple.

Something is running in background, try to figured out which app is awake by looking into running services under developer option and then close running applications
S.off your phone for 5 mins and then reboot your device

[Q] G2 Battery Life Issue

For the past couple of weeks ive been having issues with the battery life on my G2. I used to get 12+ hours of battery life on it but now im only getting about 7 or 8. Ive tried recalibrating the battery, clearing the dalvik cache, and changing settings on certain apps but that hasnt seemed to make a difference. Ive noticed that at the end of the day, the android system takes up a huge chunk of my battery. Any ideas?

I've had the same issues as the builds of CM have gotten higher in numbers. The ROM that's given me the longest life is the stoock Gingerbread rooted ROM. I switched back to CM because oof the Text MMS & them always being Slideshow issues as well as no ability to stoop the phone from vibrating when I'm on a call. Same issue with CM too actually.
I'm bumping this because I feel your pain.
you can fix that in call settings you know!
Are you running CM7? If you are, open up spare parts and look at the battery information under Partial Wake. See if there's something tying up the system.
There are a few things listed but I dont think its anything that would eat a whole lot of battery. Should I be looking for something in specific?
Anything that's more than a sliver is eating the battery and keeping your phone from sleeping.
I'm getting 24 plus hours on glite which is aosp also. Maybe the battery is finally giving up the ghost. They do have a finite amount if charge cycles. If nothing else has changed and all things being equal to your 12 hour charge cycles maybe you could try a different battery.

Finding apps keeping GN awake?

With ICS what is everyone using to figure out what apps aren't letting the phone sleep properly?
Spare Parts isn't working.
I've tried uninstalling about everything and I can't get this phone to sleep.
This is exactly the post I wanted to make today, glad I searched this one out.
I have few apps installed, and battery is going well for me. I'm a moderate user. I get about 20hours out of a charge.
I notice that even in airplane mode, my phone wakes up 3 or 4 or 5 times during the night for 5 or 10 minutes at a time it seems. What could this be? It's not data as I'm off wifi and in airplane mode. Any ideas?
Thanks all.
I've also been experiencing fairly high CPU awake times and was curious as to how I could track it down. Haven't found anything much yet in the way of apps, but I've turned off a lot of unnecessary Google syncing and an hourly sync of my Exchange account and it seems things are better now. I'm still getting awake times 1h30 greater than screen on time though.
I am seeing high "Keep Awake" times on Android OS Spare Parts force closes when I try to check Partial Wake usage so not 100% sure what this could be.
Wondering if this is the cause of some lower-end battery life we're seeing. My only thought would be LightFlow that is causing this (maybe to wake up for notifications). I thought I read it somewhere, but not sure if it was debunk'd or not.

Large battery Drain after newest update

So a month ago I upgraded my epic 4g touch to stock rooted most current official release, and flashed the newest clock work mod... Not sure what kernel. And anyhow, after flashing it, basically my battery dropped in more than half.. After an hour of it sitting around I drop 30%. I even have greenify keeping my apps hibernated. Since I'm use to the s3, I'm not sure what to do.. Do I just flash a new kernel or what? Yes I did search and got nothing about battery drain after flashing an update.
Try the suggestions here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2474084

Those are all common sense and app suggestions... This isn't an issue to be fixed with an app.. It's something going on.. Maybe the kernel

Most likely an app causing wakelocks that isn't allowing your phone to sleep. Look in Settings/About Phone to see what kernel you flashed.
I believe that your power drain issues are related to mine. Sometime in the last two months I found my battery draining about twice as fast. Upon investigation i found that nlpcollector was the culprit (google location services). After turning off google location services I found that my battery life went back to normal. I understand that this isn't an ideal fix, but hopefully it is temporary and google fixes nlpcollector so it isn't doing wakelocks like crazy.

How is the battery back up of Honor 8 Pro C675 with EMUI 5.1 (Nougat)?

Hello guys,
I recently got my phone from Flipkart on discount and I was tempted to install Oreo and so I did. Now it suffices to say the battery backup is absolutely horrible (among other issues of course). Barely lasting me 12 hrs with average daily usage, certainly much less than what 4000 mAh battery should provide.
So people who're lucky enough to still be on EMUI 5.1, is the battery backup satisfactory?
If that is the case, I might consider rolling back.

Why would you want to be still on Nougat? Battery life has never been an issue for me

Then perhaps the Oreo rom of Indian unit (C675) is not optimised. I assume your unit is German.
Also, cool theme... Suggest which one?
The theme is this one:

I want to roll back in naugat because oreo is very bugy

my H8P doesn't sleep
I'm running my H8P with orio 8.0.0(C636). Now i'm facing an issue that my display is "running" in the background even it is turned off. That is , my phone keeps it self awake at all the time even if there is no juice consuming app running background. here is some screen shot

Question Google Photos consumes a lot of battery

I have recently purchased the GT Master Edition and I am doing very well. I noticed that Google Photos consumes a lot of battery, about 5%. I tried to check in the settings but the automatic start cannot be disabled, does anyone have the same problem as me or know how to fix it?

@Pippo_02
HELLO !!!!!!
I too have the same battery drain problem.
Download this app and see the "real capacity" of your battery !
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.accubattery&hl=fr
My phone is new and I realized that I was at 45% of its real capacity !
And my phone is 100% charged
Maybe a problem with the C.06 update
The Realme has 2 batteries, so I couldn't tell you !
I think yours is a software problem. My problem is not that the battery does not last long, it is that Google photo consumes too much battery, it had even consumed 15% on 100% recharging. I solved by uninstalling it, but I would like to have it because I used it to look at photos instead of the stock app ...
@Pippo_02
If you solved the problem, great !
Otherwise, if one day you have a similar problem, in the application you have an awesome tool that shows you the discharge speed for each application, in percentage and in mA !

In the realmeUI these features are already present, without the need for third-party apps
