How's that Bluetooth 5.0 working out for you? - Huawei Mate 20 X Questions & Answers

I know it synced to my truck fast and no problems. I haven't tried my BT headphones yet. Speakers on phone so good I don't want to put headphones on. Anyone try 2 different devices or 3 as per developer options choices.

Hi,
Can you confirm the it is Bluetooth 5.0 and not 4.2? Thanks.
Regards,
Anthony

Cavalier Bluetooth Woes

Hi All,
I've got a Dopod C730, I'm loving the device except for some problems I'm having with bluetooth devices. I've recently bought a Jabra BT320s Stereo bluetooth headset and a iBT-GPS bluetooth GPS receiver.
I can pair these devices with my phone, but on the Jabra I can't see the stereo profile and I can't see how to set up the com-port for the GPS, I'd particularly like to use it with Google Maps
Anny help would be appreciated

That'll teach me not to search. This was just what I was looking for
Now I just need to workout what's happening with my headset.
Anyone else got a Jabra BT320s?
I do -- it works well with my T-Mobile Dash, but it's got completely different innards than a Cavalier.

Updating Bluetooth

Ik have a Sony Smartwatch. Before the Sony update to 1.2.37 it used to work very well with my HD. On Runnymix 4.0 and on Icecream Sandwitch 8.3/8.4. After the Sony Update no more pairing with bluetooth. I figured out that the HD has bluetooth version 2.1, and that the Smartwatch has 4.0( not confirmed).
Is it possible to update the bluetooth radio voor the HD?
Some of my coworkers also have a HD, some even stock(!) No pairing whatsoever .....
My Nexus S on Jelly recognizes the Smartwatch an works with it.
But i want it on my HD!

60.
Would you be so kind to tell me wat kernel you have? I am on radio 12.68.60.29u_26.16.09_m04.
My kernel is: 2.6.35.14 aospX
I googled out that Nexus S has bluetooth 3.0. Perhaps that is the issue because the custom roms are still on 2.1.
Nope, installing Jellytime didn't do the trick. Have to wait for the 3.o kernel...

Sabsa Prime v10.1 | 4.0.4 | Sense 4.1 Bluetooth Stereo Headset issu

Hi,
The ROM Sabsa Prime v10.1 | 4.0.4 | Sense 4.1 is working perfectly fine except the Bluetooth Stereo Headset, There is no issue in connection or listening to Music via Bluetooth Headset. The issue is with the calls there is no sound heard and voice propagated .
I am using Sony Ericsson MW600 with HTC Desire HD, I have tried almost every XDA Rom and it is working fine. I love Sabsa Prime the most but the issue with calling feature via Bluetooth Stereo Headset is bugging me.
The Bluetooth once connected to phone also shows - "Connected to Music" & "Connected to Phone". So there is no issue there. Please help/fix this issue.
Thanks.
I commiserate with you. I have viper rom 1.1.0 on my inspire 4g and a blueant q2. Same issue with this setup

Same problem with the same headset and HTC Inspire 4G.
My car Bluetooth (VW) works, though.
Thanks.
Solution:

Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Applied p2jack's v3.0.55 and v0.1 mod, and now I can answer and finish calls, and get calller info in the display, but still no voice heard in any of both ways.
I'm with Sabsa Prime v10 and tried with my Sony Ericsson MW600.
Hope somebody can fix this issue.
Thanks in advance.

I have old Nokia HS-4W with Hands-Free Profile (HFP), it works fine.
Instead of my new Jawbone ICON with Headset Profile (HSP). I can't hear the voice of my friend. But can hear the sound of the phone like a ring etc through Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).
Sabsa Prime 11 is released, let me try it and see if Sony Ericsson Bluetooth calling voice feature works fine or not.

No, he hasn't answered yet.
I think here is solution of our problem, we should change file AudioBTID.csv in Sense 4 by the same from Sense 3.6 http://www.droidevs.com/showthread.php?t=420&p=7329&viewfull=1#post7329
This is /system/etc/AudioBTID.csv from Pacha Nero 2.2, could somebody check it on Sense 4?
Yes! It works. My Jawbone ICON works fine on Sabsa 11 with AudioBTID.csv from Sense 3.6
Here is the List that i am currently having in SABSA Prime 12 Final. The Bluetooth I use is listed in the list i.e. MW600 Sony Ericsson. But still the issue persists.

Bluetooth Modul damaged?

Hi guys,
I am using an A-Sure Android Quad RK3188 radio with the latest Malaysk Firmware.
MCU Version is 2.83. A few months ago, Bluetooth worked from time to time.
Now it doesn´t find Bluetooth devices anymore – I don´t know why.
I also tried different firmwares..nothing helps
Maybe it´s damaged…would it possible to use another Bluetooth pcb?
If yes.. do you have any recommendations?
Thank you in advance..
Regards

Try changing BT type in Factory Settings. After FW updates id may change to other type by itself. Happened to me. It looks like if works (yes you can get in BT app and it shows like working but searching and connecting doesn't work).

Thanks for your reply. I tried several BT Types but nothing changes. (It is an A-Sure RK3188 Radio for Vauxhall)
I also tried several firmwares from Malaysk. The best one for me is from may 2016.
Does anyone tried to solder another bluetooth stack on the main pcb?
Thank you all in advance.

It doesn´t depend on the phone I think (I don´t use nougat version.) I tried it with different android phones - also with 3 OBD devices.

Android 8.1 Beta Bluetooth -> Car

Looks like a few people found fixes to this, but unfortunately i am not one of them. I tried switching the AVRCP version to 1.3 which led to a successful connection and the phone connection to work. However, media still does not work. My car is a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. iPhone connects with no issues. I'm a tad bit upset I bought a brand new car and new phone only having to resort to using an aux cord
Wondering if there are any lucky people out there who got their connection to work with any different methods?
I can use the phone for making calls, but Bluetooth audio doesn't work (Audi A4 B9 MMI+).
My workaround is using Android Auto for music playback, this at least works. But I hope Google will fix this...

Same here. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn't support Android Auto...I believe android 8.1 is supposed to be released today so maybe moving off of beta into that will work
So you can't play music over bluetooth to your car? That sucks. Music over Bluetooth works fine for both of my cars. Wonder what the issue is

I have an Audi S4 B8.5 MMI+ and I haven't had any issues with bluetooth connectivity for music or calls on any OS. The only concern I has is with Pandora the clock counter for the song didn't always register, but I thought that had more to do with the app as Spotify worked correctly.
Bluetooth works fine on my Jeep Cherokee 2017. However I don't get audio songs names , that was on 8.0 though. I will try tomorrow with 8.1 on.

Maybe the head unit needs a software update, those are available all the time. I know Toyota will just tell you that your phone isn't on the "list" of approved phones and that the issue is with you phone because it's got too new of an OS.
