i already did this before for bootleggers but i did not know work with aosp. thanks! by the way if you add turkish language for rom settings+double click lockscreen and other bugs if dissolved i would be glad. Come easy Sakil.
Looks good and feels better than the Oreo version.
Just some missing parts which I guess you will add later like Auto Brightness toggle, AppOps, etc.
Reboot problem just like the Oreo version, reboot or reboot to recovery results in shut down instead.

so i found this video on YouTube "How to Enable Double Tap Screen Wake up on any Android Device" which this guy use an app name kernel auditor to make a mobile turn on double tap on the phone (his phone has built in option of 2tap) and i tried and one big problem is root access which i dont have and tried magisk and supersu .in recovery mode in middle of installing this two program phone shutdowns so maybe after root this two basic option of zenfone (double tap and otg) works anybody can help root the phone

Dude i dont mean it just asking first impression on battery :angel:
1.dual 4g doesn't work (vodafone & jio)
2.double tap to wake up
3.auto-rotate issue (ex : open settings and then wait few seconds without any action (landscape mode) automatically struck auto-rotate , one more example if you play video player few seconds automatically struck auto-rotate(landscape mode) .turn off and on it works again but will face same problem again and again

4.auto-rotate issue (ex : open settings and then wait few seconds without any action (landscape mode) automatically struck auto-rotate , one more example if you play video player few seconds automatically struck auto-rotate(landscape mode) .turn off and on it works again but will face same problem again and again

Apart from auto rotation and battery drainage problem, the ROM is super slick.
Edit: RAM management is not as good as Resurrection Remix ROM or Stock ROM.

Little ghost touch is there, but less thn other rom

Adapter etc is fine, checked it. I also faced this issue with RR ROM, had to revert to stock ROM because of it. Anytime I use my phone (basic activities, browsing, customizing wallpaper, display etc, no heavy apps like games or video streaming) the charging rate is quite slow.
I have to flash nfc.zip as well?

Everything works correctly. However, there is still a lot of AospEx functionality.
The only thing I had to do was edit the updater-script file and delete the phone version check.
Originally, the installer stopped on this line reporting an error.

Is it possible to make this for the LG G6 us997?
testing aex 6.0...
came from v5.8 with full clean flash (internal storage as well)...
noticed things so far:
- less extension options (i.e. can't set a clock position in status bar, can't add action to navbar buttons, can't change the battery icon, etc...)
- can't turn off the low battery led blinking
- no themes as in 5.8...
- brightness slider almost doesn't change anything until around 75% and above...
- google camera app is crap (it saves pictures rotated and only in 1:1 aspect ratio no matter if i choose 4:3 or 16:9 ratio) - Bacon camera works ok... but i'd still prefer Snapdragon camera app if possible...
that's all for now and mainly cosmetic (didn't test calls and 4g yet) and i hope most of the things i've mentioned here are still in the development since this is an Alpha release

Great Rom. I attempted to remove some system apps via twrp recovery (via browser, contacts). Upon doing so, the ROM would not boot. Anyone have any idea what causes this?

I don't use gapps and there's no messaging app pre-installed. I'd suggest OP to include a messaging app and an email client. By the way, great work, so many features, there are some conflicting settings combination which I think are going to be fixed eventually. :good:

Maybe you removed some essential app by mistake. Try any system uninstall app from playstore. I used System App Remover and removed 7 to 8 non essential apps. My ROM is working fine.

The front camera does not work the Flash.
The back camera does not work the Flash.
Increasing the brightness from the bar restarts the UI.
I would like you to add:
An interface like Nova Launcher's would be excellent!
I would like the status bar to look like the Dot OS.
I will continue testing it to see how it works and see what errors it has ...

Thanks for this man, I had been wait for this a lot, I've installed and works fine but I don't know why when I lock mi phone all my applications it's closed including my music player. Can you help me with that. I use black player as my music player.
I flashed mine but:
touching doens't work
it turn off if unplugged from power source

i'm having issue with bluetooth disconnecting when paired to mi band 2, sometimes bluetooth turns off/on automatically when connected to miband and after that unable to connect to band, kernel adiutor shows that g4 have 4 big cores and 2 small cores, kinda weird, can't reproduce this bug and give logcat because i restored 7.0

Too laggy and it crashes too often
Rom works fine. I have problem with Magisk. After install any app like Viper or Vanced YouTube Player I don't see them on the app list. Magisk root works perfectly. I have no idea what is wrong.
Edit: OK. I downloaded last Uninstaller and latest Magisk, reinstalled and it's OK. Everything works fine.

try Ambient Display Gesture v2 (search it in Magisk module download), when you tap or hand wave the proximity sensor the screen will wake
@aoleary Much thanks for your work releasing this Rom (and to everyone else who had a hand getting the G4 to this point). I wanted to ask you if it was possible to port the SmartPixels feature from your previous AtomicOS rom to Pie; I feel like it's tremendously helpful for the end of the day (either to limit the brightness of using the phone during the night, or while out at night unsure the next time you're going to find a charger)
As for the Rom itself, I'm currently using this on my daily driver and I've come across an Issue that I'll just mention; but can completely live without. I understand without Logs this isn't helpful, but I see this issue has already been reported and closed in the Pie Issue Github Tracker.
Camera Force Closes --> This is a problem with the PlayStore updating the Camera App. Disabling it (removing the updates) and Enabling it again fixes the camera.
