Redmi s2 have 32 bit software not 64 bit.

What is this recovery? Does not that work with Miui? Does not recognize the SD card. Can not mount storage. And version is 3.2.2-0 and not 3.2.3.

Isn't it possible to flash versions of ColorOS without root?
I don't see how rooting the device affects which version of ColorOS you want installed.

Of course it is, I just meant this is convenient if your wiping and flashing constantly and want an easy way to root from the device.
Does this method allow updates?
I think so http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/h...d-7a-w-oppo-recovery.11309/page-4#post-177855

This package is signed such that it will flash in stock recovery.
If you install a custom recovery (which allows you to flash ZIPs signed with keys other than the manufacturer's) you may as well just flash SuperSU
Fun fact: Many ICS releases for the Samsing I9100, I777, and N7000 allowed flashing of ZIPs signed with testkeys using their stock recovery. So you could flash SuperSU on stock recovery with those devices/releases. Samsung's gingerbread and JB releases didn't allow this.

How to resolve error 7 in asus zenfone 2 ze551ml, 4gb ram, 1.8ghz ?

Hi guys, I've been trying to install custom rom in my asus zenfone 2 ze551ml, 4gb ram 1.8ghz but always failed with error 7. My device is rooted and I faced bootloop when I tried twrp 3.0.2 so I used 3.0.0 version. I tired to flash lineage os and got error 7. Then I tried to install RR but again got error 7. Is it because these roms are 2.3ghz version? Please suggest me a method to escape from error 7

Hey guys,
I'm facing the error 7 too on screen... I did total bricked recovery and when I try to install a CM room on TWRP...
And now the ifwi.bin is not compatible with CM room....
To answer all
If you have ifwi version in bootloader ;-
0094 . 0173 or .0177 flash raw AFT for LP
IF 0094 .0183
Flash raw for M
See general section Ms have been added
If you have LP , Update to M

I had a bricked one too and the one and only guide to solve it for me is:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/thead-bricked-phone-updating-to-mm-tips-t3452785
Because of the additional problems in windows10 I went to an old win7 machine and got it run again by following each step exactly.
Finally I flashed manual with step "Flashing Firmware Without AFT", because my serial# was killed to 123456.... and Asus-Flashtool did not run with it.
One heavy issue in other guides was a fail in addressing the xfstk-downloader, keep care to use address 0x80000807 (four x zero in a row, not 5 as other guides show)
Good luck!
My issue is resolved. Thanks guys. Cheers

[ROM][8.0.0] MIUI 9 GLOBAL Beta Rom 8.2.1 based on Oreo [scorpio][02.03.2018]

This is a beta rom so as the name implies you may encounter various problems/bugs.
Fastboot (unlocked bootloader)(erases all your internal storage):
http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.3.1/scor....1_20180301.0000.00_8.0_global_7127f41234.tgz
Recovery (TWRP and unlocked bootloader)(full wipe highly recommended):

The update has been suspended at the moment but download links are still working... Anyway you flash the packages at your own risk, I don't assume any responsibilities for any bricked or exploded devices! This is only for sharing purposes!
Thank I very much for sharing

Well if you like risking a hard brick you can download that file, rename it update.zip and put it in the folder downloaded_rom. Then go to the miui updater app and it should see it as an update and the installation will start. The problem is that if you are on locked bootloader without TWRP and the flash goes wrong you can throw away your phone...

No risk, no fun... I used the option in the updater and it doesn't allow me to install it. Probably because I need special privileges... In any case, these are excellent news for custom ROMs
Edit: previous to the installation of the .ZIP it asks me to be connected to the internet... It can't be connected without being connected to the internet. So definitely they check if the user is allowed to install it.
Anyways. Anyone using the ROM can give some feedback, please?
Installed by twrp and running perfect ... for now no failure
routed with magisk 16.0
So installed last TWRP, wiped all data and storage for decryption, all went ok, inastalled oreo beta rom and magisc 16, during booting phone first get encrypted again and then rom boots up. Restarting back to TWRP is asking for password again to decrypt phone. So because of that I get back to nougat and TWRP 3.1.1.0 because that is only one that is not asking password. So please help and inlight me what I was doing wrong.

You have to be in the Beta Team to install those packages with the updater app. The method the Super Moderator recommended me is fastboot because it's an android version update. The ROM worked fine in the first day , no important bug that can prevent it to be a daily driver.

Technically, this aren't TWRP, it's LR TWRP (based on TWRP) + it's officially made by the guy who made LR TWRP
