Looks great man!!

Hey.
First of all thanks for Another ROM to this devices.
One question to anyone who maybe stumped on this?
All thread refer to the Bluetooth calls distorted bug, but there is one that at least on LineageOS is present: - Magisk will not work with a encrypted LG-G4 at least in LineageOS, and AICP roms with Titan Kernel from @kessaras . I suspect that will not work with any of the roms, can anyone she'd some light on this one?
So anyone who wants to go encrypted can only stay on Laos or AICP that supports Laos SU-Addon if you need root Access.
So, if it confirms can you add Magisk when encrypted to the known bugs where it applies?
Thanks and keep then coming ?

Even if we add it to known bugs , we do not develop magisk.
Someone already tried to report it to magisk thread and he grabbed logs and we checked them , but logs don't say anything. In dmesg and logcat we can clearly see everything going fine and when magisk start suddenly everything starts to die.
The magisk developer didn't even try answer to that guy.
So without a way to find the problem , we can't fix that problem.
If the magisk developer can guide you guys on how to get a log that's showing the issue and if the issue is somewhere in device tree or blobs or kernel, I will be glad to fix it.

Thanks.
I guess the developer is doing army service.
I was not complaining, Everytime a new Magisk major version cakes out I test it. So, let's wait, and LineageOS is working fine and been updated with Android monthly updates. Thanks for that.
Now if we could only buy a 3.5" Jack to a Bluetooth phone adapter, that would do the trick

can't wait to try this one, thank you! i hope cts profile will be ok
ps: i can't find this release 2019-01-20 but only otOS-O-v2.5-h815-UNOFFICIAL-20181227, is it ok?

Hi all,
I am currently on Stock MM. I just unlocked the bootloader and started looking for a good ROM to start with.
Do I read the OP correctly, that I first need Nougat before I install this ROM?
cheers,

thank you!
please upload the new build as soon as you can, i don't know why i have problems with the 27/12 build
sometimes after it boot, booting animation > bip sound > text android > after the clock on unlock screen appears > screen bright at maximum, then black screen with a blu led and it freeze T_T
i re-downloaded rom and pico gapps 20/01/2019 .. i wipe everythings, i flashed in order rom, gapps and magisk and now it works, but even after some hours and reboot, it still slow to open everything, it not lag in menu etc.. wifi network is slow slow slow (i have a 200mbit) but 4g is fast, i can't understand which is the problem
I will re-try everything removing sd card and installing everything with usb-otg
I really like the rom style is very amazing, i hope with the next build, thank you again for your hard work
update:
i changed gapps pico with the 22/01/2019 release and now it seems it goes better (it's a little bit slow install apps: download and installation process)
it's not the first time it happened to me and with other rom that some gapp release broke something .. it seems strange or i'm just unlucky ^^ i really don't know and i'll not bore you about that, i'll continue to test and try about it
update 2:
it installed everything, a few reboot .. but it have micro freeze i notice because the seconds clock skip a lots of seconds and sometimes it shows the same seconds time :'(
update 3:
i don't know why, it's all very laggy and slow in every operations :'(

Sometime I have that lags when wanna flash any Oreo ROM.. So..
• Download MM bootloader with N modem file
• Clean wipe (System, Data, Dalvik, Cache)
• Flash MM bootloader with N modem file
• Flash DotOS 2.5 and Gapps (nano or pico recommended)
• Reboot (Don't flash Magisk!!)
• It should be lag-free now, setup your Google account
• Reboot into Twrp and flash Magisk
Try with this way..

For AICP
Temporary fix for those having random screen off/ on issue
Pls do not ask question on how to install this temporary fix at the cm-13.0 thread, this is not an official fix, if you wanna help out then install Syslog, use the ROM for at least a day then capture those logs. Now follow the below to install this temporary fix, again use it for at least a day then use Syslog to capture the fixed log & report it here so that crpalmer can have a look at it & possibly fixing it. Fyi, i don't have this random screen off/ on problem
It will be best that anyone of you with this screen off/ on problem to capture a video, upload it to youtube so that crpalmer can actually 'see' that random screen off/ on issue himself
Procedure
Refer to this post for the boot.img, extract it to the sdcard & use TWRP to install it
View attachment 3779215
Select Install Image
View attachment 3779216
Scroll down to the most bottom or to wherever the boot.img is extracted to then select it
Tried , everything is working great .

Pls someone reply quick.... Is the fingerprint sensor working???
Sent from my KIW-L21 using XDA-Developers mobile app
The fingerprint sensor will not work until it is fixed in CM13, so you'll have to wait.
I really dont miss finger print when I try the CM13 rom, I'm still enjoy it. So you guys think this rom is better? Will try it soon ?

Can someone tell me the differences between this rom and ressurection os? maybe ill download this one.
Also is it available on every version or is it only available on kiw 21 etc etc?
I don´t know why. But the ROM doesn´t work on my Honor 5X (KIW-L21). The setup crash at the start, when i must choose my Data SIM. Support this ROM dual SIM?

I see that you asked the same question in the Resurrection Remix ROM thread as well.
Are you sure you are doing a clean flash, flashing the correct GAPPS & wiping Cache/Dalvik before booting? GAPPs version being wrong is the usual suspect for set up crash.

Yes the same problem but second device. I do always a clean install, use the newest GApp package (recommended package). I try a second install later the same as Resurrection Remix!

Clean flash ROM along with gapps.
Booting the ROM first and flashing gapps before second boot will crash setup wizard as well.
So flash the ROM+gapps simultaneously and proceed to first boot .

Hi,
Super! I think lots of people will be glad testing this new ROM.
On the latest build (July) of Carbon ROM/Castor LTE I had a lot of problems connecting to some Wlan Access Points. Seems that the authentication (cipher???) do not work. Could it be that the Wifi implementation was/is not complete?
Is this fixed in the builds here?
Hey rcstar 6696,
thank you guys!
Is the castor-lte -testBuild Version stable enough with wifi / no reboots?
I know, the Official castor (LTE) are Not available yet, but what you think you will release it? Please no stress I need the Infos, to plan free time for a flashing-day my three Castor Tablets
thank you for your hard work
At first glance:
auto power down fixed, no more!
wifi disabled at config wizard, still present (quicktoggle workaround works though)
sometimes touchscreen freezes and refuses input (put screen off and back on fixes it)
snappy rom, pretty fast, no big issues found!
Thanks for the hard work on this rom! Finally a decent AOSP Rom for my Z2 Tablet.. :victory:

Yeah first was a tricky bug but it was due a Sony change in kernel which killed power code in kernel

Yes this is also in stock ROM, so probably kernel related.. Also saw some build.prop entry for the touchscreen, maybe that's causing it..

Its for automatic brightness
Battery drain issue is still present... Maybe it's a battery charging issue ..... But with stock ROM I had no battery problem, only with twrp recovery and Carbon ROM.

I posted on lineageos thread the screenshot of carbon ROM battery drain.... From 100% to about 60% battery drain is standard....but when arrives to a lower value, it drops in few seconds and tablet shut down.
I really don't know and don't understand why.....with stock and Lineage I had no problem.
From 65% to 0% as fast as StarTrek teletrasportation ......

Just decided to install a custom rom on my Z2 and i see a new rom out?
Good job @rcstar6696 just finished unlocking, twrp and doing my first boot!
Will come up with info and bug reporting (if any)!!

No if you come from lineage you don't need stock before flashing carbon. Only wipe data and system.

As it is an experimental build
Q1. Can we flash gapps package from opengapps.org?
Q2. Can we dirty flash the update packages of this Rom?
Q3. What about ram overall performance, including the battery performance?
Thanks dev for this awesome rom that built in 8.1 OREO . All works fine. But camera isn't available. And network traffic monitor doesn't work. Call volume is low. Happy with battery performance. Thank u very much.

what is the update frequency of this rom?
Rom is great and there is no doubt about it, but I hope the dev will include the other features of the original LOS which he may deem fit in the future builds along with the latest security patches ...
Thank you dev for this great Rom for our little beast! :good:
Here are the bugs so far:
1) headphones not detected.
2)data connection force close (common in all 8.1 roms)
3) proximity sensor not working during calls.
4)no root and magisk causes immense lag
5) camera not working.
6)can't migrate data to external storage while using that storage setting thing.
7)Google fit reboots phone.
@PrabhjotSinghKhinda,
1. Bluetooth is not working..
The devices are unable to connect and transfer files between them...
2. Process system is stopping when selecting the option of battery performance profiles while searching in the settings..
3. Auto rotation is not working..
4. While editing the Qs tiles, the portion where the extra options are available for adding Qs tiles is not properly visible...
Will report more things later on...
Thank you ?
Great Work.
But there are some problems
1.CDMA UIM card could not recieve signals.(My device is Redmi 1s CDMA)
2.APN settings is not avaliable, and this causes mobile data connection could not be used.
3.Cameraand flashlight still broken.
4.Could not set screen unlock to pattern.
5.Volume is low.
Sorry for my bad English.

The APN settings and stock camera problems are the main probs in the lineage OS 15.1 ROM which hasn't been fixed yet. That's the main reason I switched back to lineage OS 14.1. Hoping to see a fix at least on this ROM. All the best for Dev's .
Eagerly waiting for more stable version.

Hello Sir @PrabhjotSinghKhinda,

Because in Lineage Os this feature is causing the bootloop issues on some of the devices..

If i forgot anyone else i'm sorry, PM me to add you to the list :highfive:
If anyone is having issues with new kernel (freezes, random reboots, no data/wifi)
Plz flash this kernel:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/135b3Xt9IssT83CFtEzMzkg6USperRkp9/view?usp=drivesdk
It is Orion_WIP3_2 kernel in a AK2 (Anykernel2) zip. (Thanks @JohnFawkes)
You can just flash this zip as a regular zip..
So no more ".img" files that need to be flashed in boot partition.
This also means that you don't need to reflash Magisk after flashing a kernel!
As always "Encounter bugs? = Logcat" cant fix stuff based on a description of what happened. :good:

they keyboard will appear after an extra reboot or wait a minute.
no idea if its because the rom is CAF or not. (only seen this issue by you and 1 other person)
but this "not appearing" keyboard thing is a 1x issue only, it should work fine every time after that.
and a little info on what device/model would be nice

Works fine
anyone flash MAGIK and XPOSED mods yet????
Just friggin loving this rom.... only issue I have had is occassionly it disconnects from WIFI and then take a long time to reconnect... other than that all works great.
for those wanting a better camera all the following work great
manual camera fx
open camera
camera zoom fx
rectrica
bandacam
DSLR camera
all with similar results and all pretty damn good.
possible second issue
if I add or change unlock pin code... RN2 just locks up... have to pull battery out, once rebooted code has been changed and can unlock phone fine after that... seems too be the initial action of adding or changing it that causes issue.
Hello, sir will you make DotOS v2.0 too For our Xiaomi Note 2?
my sim cards don't seem to work on this rom. i've had this issue before in RR 5.8.5 and the only way to fix it is just to reboot my phone and voila, it's fixed, but in this rom it can't even read my sim cards at all
edit :
sim 1 is working as of right now. i just had to wait for it to work though the signal cluster icons don't show that it does. sim 2 is still not working
i have successfully installed both magisk and xposed. they both work like a charm thus far. i'll let you know if there's anything going on
