what exactly did you do? what ROM are you coming from?
if you are switching from MIUI Official to EU ROMS.
try doing this
1. Download EU ROMS and copy to phone
2. Boot your phone to TWRP
3. if you have encryption enabled, unlock it and proceed.
4. Wipe Data / Cache / System / Dalvik Cache
5. Flash EU ROM
6. Format Data
7. REBOOT and wait
this is exactly what i did in mine. and it went through. now im on mi-globe rom.

All you had to do is format data in twrp by typing "yes". Already covered hundreds of times in almost every other post on the subject
You must also wipe cache/dalvik or you will be in boot loop city.

Phone is totaly reset, just fastboot and flash twrp !

Yeah, just flash it over the old one, no need to touch system or data
First time I started twrp they would that I enter a password for data partition.

Enter your system password, if it didnt work you have to format, but backup data first

No need to port the rom, just install the files from the p gsi post and download the teammex's fix from this link: https://github.com/erfanoabdi/P_semiGSI/wiki/Moto-Z-Play
You have to decrypt your device, install Xperience rom, wipe system data dalvik and cache and then flash the p gsi, after that you have to mount vendor and flash the post _sgsi files and then you have to mount system and vendor again to flash teammex's fix. After that you have to reboot your device and install gms ( tinyurl.com/gmscore ) to fix play store.

I did format internal storage to decrypt, flash all of the post zips, and flash the zip that teammex posted. Is that the fix you mean?
in moto z play, DP4 base experience does not work Bluetooth but if you open the camera in app, using the cosmic base press if Bluetooth works, but the camera in app does not start

How do I decrypt my data? I wiped it all and userdata. Nothing. I cant seem to flash the fix, I downloaded a file that says master from that git. Did I get it right?

The fix by TeamMex doesn't want to flash when I try it it says zip format is not expected or something and fails. I tried mounting system and vender and either by themselves. Tried rebooting TWRP as well.

Maybe I am not getting the right file. I go to that side, then click code, and click clone or download. Is this right? I get a file called P_semiGSI-master.zip
After dp4 its not needed anymore

Installation instructions:

What system did you restart if you wiped the whole system partition??? Flash stock and stay out of advanced functions if you have no idea on what you're clicking!

The stock images can be flashed using fastboot or MiFlash. Both the A and B slots will be flashed and the userdata will be cleared so there's nothing else to do afterwards. Don't relock the bootloader if you intend on hacking your phone some more.
Hi, i have the next problem:
After installing TWRP, it starts but doesn't even ask me for a password, so I am not able to acces de data folder, every other opens, it even show me how many free space I have, but can´t acces the internal storage.
Also I'm not able to wipe cache, davlik, data, etc.
I tried to use the command 'decrypt <password>' but it just fail.
Here's the log and the only thing I understand is that TWRP isnt allowed to acces /data folder.
I have the stock official ROM
V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM
Unlocked bootloader by Mi_flash_unlock.
Can´t solve the problem trying older versions and other TWRP-bases recovery, all of them claims the same problem.

- install custom recovery ( twrp hellas version)
- flash DFE
- reboot to recovery
- install custom rom
- flash DFE
- reboot to system
- done

Well, it didn't work either...
Look .. it doesn't ask for password at the first time .. nor it shows internal storage .. can't do a single thing..(android version 11)

I had the same problem.
Put your phone into Fastboot mode and connect it to your PC via USB cable
execute this fastboot format userdata in your command console (assuming you have Android platform-tools)
The problem is miui 12.0.3 what I did was downgrade to 12.0.1 and the problem is solved
Well, i installed twpr (hellus version) .at first i decrypted data ... Bt then data was encrypted again .. now everytime i had to format my data .. and start all over again .... So for organfox and pitch black ... (Miui 12.03)
