Incoming Whatsapp, Skype voice and video calls not being notified on Galaxy Watch - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hi All,
I've been a long-time user of Samsung wearables and I know that ALWAYS I've gotten all incoming call notifications not matter where it comes from.....until now.
I have had my Galaxy Watch paired with my stock standard Galaxy S7 Edge phone for around 4 months now and I've noticed I never get a notification/vibration when an incoming Whatsapp call is ringing on my phone. The same goes for Skype calls. Instead, my watch just notifies me I've just missed the call after the caller gives up.
Normal telephone calls work as you would expect.
This was never a problem for me with the previous Samsung smartwatches I've owned.
I took both devices to Samsung in Hamburg and I took it to Samsung in Australia twice and they couldn't help me at all... The manufacturer of both devices are clueless and sent me away with no way of fixing it.
Anyone here noticed this able to help?

probably you already did it but if not, you should open the galaxy wearable app, go to setting -> notifications -> manage notifications and enable the apps you need.

Your right, I have done that. I've tried all sorts of stuff.
Samsung also have had my watch three times now and also couldn't get it to work. Their reply after testing it and seeing for themselves, 'no remedy'. My reply, 'yes remedy, full refund'. Their reply, 'no remedy, no refund, here is your watch'. Me, 'NSW Fair Trading complaint then' (I live in NSW, Australia).
Just out of interest, are you getting notified of all incoming calls on Whatsapp, Skype etc. on your watch?

Incoming calls whatsapp with s8+ not working for me with pie cause authentication for call notification is quiet and not changeable. In my opinion that's the problem why you get message notifications but no call notifications. I wished it would get a mod.

[Q] Need help finding the impossible

First of all Good Day to all.
The reason I'm here is out of frustration. I have read this site for a long time, but never joined. I'm coming here because there are a lot of very knowledgeable people that may have the answer that I have been looking for and up until now can not find.
I NEED an app that seems to be impossible to find, at lease for me. What I need is an app that will allow a selected group of people to call AND text with notifications without other notifications sounding. I want a "set it forget it" app that once set it will do this automatically every night.
The Note 4 has a "Blocking mode" which would be perfect if it would allow both SMS notifications and call notifications to come through for a selected group of people without having to check all notifications to come through.
I have sons that seem to never call and only text when checking in. I set my phone to go silent at around 12 and come back on at 6am. With this, calls will come through for my favorites but in order for text sounds to come through I have to allow all sounds to come through which defeats the silent mode.
Is there such a thing? Is this impossible to do? Am I doing something wrong in settings?
Can you please advise? Thanking you in advance.
Google tasker block calls and text. It may work for you. Did a quick read and some had made profiles that of you weren't in contacts it would block them, or send to voice mail... hope that helps

I needed something to allow text and calls through not block them. I wanted a simple app that I could set a time to turn off all sounds at night and then turn them back on in the morning. In this time frame I wanted to allow a group of people to be able to either text or call me and it would ring, blocking all others contacts and notifications. There is a ton of apps that will allow calls to come through but not too many that will allow both calls and text to come through.
I just downloaded an app and I will give it a try. It's called. CritiCall Pro. This isn't an all inclusive app so I will use it with the "Blocking mode" that is installed in the Note 4.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
Try the app Do Not Disturb from playstore. It lets you control messages and phone calls during quiet hours and any other time of the day that you choose. There is a trial version and paid version.
Try automateit. It's not specifically for this but you can set triggers to silent certain numbers or silent all numbers except the ones you want to go through.
Maybe blacklist is the one for you

I just downloaded this and it looks like just what I wanted. How I missed this is beyond me since I have been looking for months. Thank you so much. Now crossing my fingers that it works as describes.

Call blocker... native to the Note 4... will do what I think you want it to do. You can turn off sounds for a specified time, yet allow specified callers to call or text and have the notification sound work.

Yep. Native blocking will do it. No need for third party app.
Good luck...

The Note 4 native app is great if I only wanted to allow/block calls, I want it to be able to allow text and calls from a group and in order to do that I have to a not block notifications and by doing that it allows all notifications to chime through email, calendar etc. If they would separate notifications and text alerts there would be no problem.
So far the "Do not Disturb" app is doing what I need it to. It allows both Text and Calls to come through from a group without all the other notifications that I don't want. I will continue to see if this works out without any hiccups.

Last ditch effort... Need help with messaging and voicemail please

I guess this question is for both this and the new Galaxy watch forums... Here goes.
I use the s9 on Tmobile and just picked up the new 46mm LTE watch. 2 problems I can't solve for the life of me.
1. SMS...Each and every time my watch switches from Wi-Fi/Bluetooth mode, I receive dozens of old, sms messages. When my watch is connected to the phone and not using its LTE function all seems to be ok.
2. Voicemail... I can't seem to figure out my voice mail setup. I have tmobile and the visual voicemail app from the carrier on my s9. I get a voicemail. Easy enough. But I get notified, at least I think, from 2 different apps. One app transcribes the voicemail and the tmobile app simply displays it for me to play. Does Samsung and/or Android have a native visual voicemail app? If so, I can't find it in my apps list.
3. Voicemail notifications... My watch with 1 swipe right, shows a notification that I have 1 voicemail. I can't swipe it away from the watch and I have triple checked my voicemail... I have no messages. But the notification will not go away.
I have hard reset both devices twice to no avail.
I feel like an idiot for not being able to solve these problems so any help would be greatly appreciated... Getting ready to go the LG/Android Wear soon ?
Is the time/date on the watch synced to the phone? Or at least correct? Can only think if the watch thinks they are new messages because the time/date of the phone messages are ahead of the time/date of the watches messages

About samsung galaxy active 2 notification

I want to ask is samsung galaxy active 2 shows written notification from whatsapp, messanger, snap, imo?
And calls from these apps apeears in watch or not?
Last question is samsung active 2 able to reply calls voice from these app specially facebook messanger?

These notifications are shown whenever your watch ist connected to your phone which has these apps installed.
App calls are not available, only phone calls (LTE model is also capable of standalone calls).

Only phone needs to have the apps installed. The watch can show any notification independent of the app, the app does not need to be installed on the watch.
Even though you cannot answer app calls on the watch, you'll get notified of missed calls als long as the phone app shows a notification about the missed calls (most apps do).

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ setting for reading incoming caller id isn't there

Hi.
I got my Samsung Galaxy Buds+ last week and love them, accept for one annoying thing.
I want my buds to announce who is calling, a feature the do have. When I first connect them to my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S8) the setting for incoming calls is in the list off notifications, and the feature works. But next time I connect the buds to my phone the setting is not there and the caller is not announced. I have had contact with Samsung support and they have gotten me to wipe cache and data in the phone app, remove the buds from the phone and reconnect them, but the problem is still there. The incoming call setting is there the very first time I connect the buds to the phone and the next time it is gone.
And yes, I have enabled the reading caller id feature on the phone to.
Has someone else experienced this? Any idea of what I can do to get this to work as it should?

Question Any way to disable incoming calls on LTE version?

I have my eSIM configured in my Pixel Watch LTE, and all is working fine so far. However, from time to time I'd look to have my little son wear the watch, when he is out and about alone by himself, so he can call me in case he gets lost, or I can find his location. Generally, this works, but the problem is that the watch also rings when I receive calls: The eSIM is a MultiSIM of my Vodafone contract, so it has the same number as mine in my main phone. Of course I don't want my son to receive my phone calls on the watch.
Is there any way of disabling incoming phone calls, or the the notifications / vibrations of them? Or, ideally, disabling the signaling of any incoming call except if it comes from a certain number (like my own landline)?

I haven't received the watch yet, but it should have Do Not Disturb settings which you should be able to configure as you wish. For instance, your son could receive calls from Starred contacts only, while all the others are blocked.
Edit: See here
" Do Not Disturb: Turn off all notifications and silence incoming calls. Press and hold to customize exceptions for priority and repeat callers, alarms, and media sounds. "
That's the perfect solution, thank you very much!
