3D render - Honor View 20 Questions & Answers

HI All,
I have had a look around on the internet and been largely unable to find anything. I would like to make a custom 3d printed case for my phone and the easiest way to do this would be to start with a 3d rendered model of the phone (preferably in stl or obj format). I was just wondering if anyone out there might know where to find such a thing?
Many thanks,

VJBigphone issues

One thing thats ticking me off a little is that VJBigPhone requires me to hit "load and Fix" after a reset for the incall screen to fix itself. Is this something unique to me or are other people experiencing this problem too? Anyone know a way to get round this?
Thanks to VJ for this app.
It's not supposed to do that - when loaded it searches for the phone and attempts to fix it. If cprog.exe isn't loaded for whatever reason, it gives up after a few seconds and waits for you to do the honours first.
I could make it more invasive, but chose not to. Examine your \windows\startup and see if there's anything odd going on to slow down your reboot etc. If it's a major problem I may rexamine the issue, but as far as I'm concerned, I think VJBigPhone isn't necessary now we have the opportunity to make our own phone skins with the eten dialler.

Thanks for the reply. There are almost no other apps in the startup fold which would cause a delay. I've had this issue even when starting out with a fresh ROM.
I've notice the ETEN method mentioned else where on the forums but even after many trawls I've haven't managed to work out how its implemented (Any method I look at seems to fall over in VGA mode). Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks for all you work so far - TJ
Hmm, to tell you the truth, I've never tried the Eten skin. Let's just say that I have a much, much better solution, but it's not ready for release yet.
However, to use eten you should just have to drag the dll into Visual Studio or a good resource hacker and mess around with it. In theory. I've only briefly looked into it. I imagine you may also have to make a dpi dependant dll, but I guess that's already discussed by people with bigger brains then me.
If it's a big problem, I'll look into VJBigPhone again...

T-Mobile Shadow Home on Dash?

I was just in the T-mobile store and was blown away by the shadows interface. What are the chances of the shadow homescreen getting ported to the dash? Anyone else play with it? what do you all think?
I say there is a pretty good chance, especially for other smartphones that are not the landscape resolution 320x240 but rather 240x320 like the Shadow. I wonder if it's just a simple .xml file or is it new software. Anyone know?

As my belief, it can never be a simple .xml
Is there any body has a Shadow? maybe they can provide some clue
I have a Shadow -- nope, it's not just a XML file -- it does quite a bit. Prior to release, I did see a screenshot of it somewhere on a landscape device, and it had the jog-bar icon in the status-bar, so I assumed the screenshot came from a Dash. I think somewhere, it already exists for a Dash.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see it included in a future ROM update for the Dash.
Hope so, as it's so useful I'm willing to go without FizzWeather or Facade for my homescreen just to use it.
The Shadow itself is another story though -- it's much faster than the Dash, but the call quality is so bad that I'm returning mine. Not worth using up an annual upgrade, but a nice preview of things to come
glad to hear that hope the new interface come to dash earlier.
Appears that someone was already able to put the dumped Shadow ROM in this post:

My wife wants the full qwerty keyboard of the Dash but likes the interface of the Shadow SO hopefully someone much smarter than myself will be able to help with putting it on the Dash

QDSP5000 same as G1?

Ive been looking around on google, and it looks like the DSP chipset in the Rhodium is basically the same as the G1, so Im wondering if it is possible that we need to look at the G1's sound driver for the answer?
And I am also working on decompiling the wavedev.dll (not much progress tho), im looking at the hex of a sample file now because Im waiting to see if a chef can supply me with the file, and im hoping that I can find any kind of memory instructions in the hex (but probably not)

Making an attractive User Interface

Hi all,
I was just wondering how you would go about making an attractive interface. I am using C# to write an application I hope to share with the people on this forum (as ive taken alot and think maybe i should give something back now ) but I cant figure how ot make an interface look good. For example transparent forms with graphical buttons etc. Are these just images or is there some 2d DX Programming involved? Because the UI I have in mind i could acheive it by playing GIFS but that just doesnt seem right to me. Also Im still learning C# so for my own ability id rather do it with the correct method from the beginning.
Can someone help me out? DX? Simple Graphics? Gifs? Whats the way to make a nice UI thats not just a windows form in different colours ( ).
Oh and btw im also looking to make the UI finger friendly.
EDIT:
Another question, how do you suppose the volume control (the finger friendly one you spin with your thumb) is made ? its very responsive and i dont think its just images also the way the white ball swivels around and changes the colour of the number its behind. This would also be interesting to learn. I just want to get an idea of the kind of programming involved in making a UI like that. Thanks again.
Thanks in advance for tips.

XNA is your answer
A very good start is to watch this (in total 14.5 hours of essential info and it is also funny and easy to follow):

It is much faster than any book, and then you have a plenty resources to find answers for coding etc...http://create.msdn.com/en-US/
I hope this helps.
Q what do i need to create a 3d game
I want to learn the C# language but I cant find any up to date tutorials. Most use this progrm that no longer exists. Also How can I use Visual Studio to learn to do C# w/o having to make a game?

A 3D capable Windows Phone would be a good start.
