[ROOT] Can i change maximum shutter speed using root? - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I installed lineage os 15.1 official on my galaxy s9 and on every 3d party camera app the maximum shutter speed is 0.1 seconds. I would like to have it much longer for long exposure photography. Is there any way to change that, maybe using root?

Would this work?

Hello? I didn't find anything, but is there a burst mode camera app that additions the frames, for example 1000 pictures of 0.1 secs and blends them?

Camera app with manual shutter speed

Are there any apps for the GS3 that allow you to manually control the shutter speed and ISO independently?
I have tried Camera FV-5 which only allows going to "long+" which ends up somewhere between 1/30 and 1/17, at higher shutter speeds it drops resolution to 1080P. I also tried procapture, which only has an exposure compensation function but does not allow you to manually select shutter speeds. Neither of the above have a working exposure compensation on the gs3, it was capped out to +-.7, if you scrolled past that to say -2 EV it would revert to 0 EV for the photo.
Is there any app that works on the GS3 and allows manual exposure controls? It would be especially awesome if it allowed slower shutter speeds than 1/15 of a second, I like to do longer exposures, 1-2 seconds or more, but haven't found an app that allows that.
I was too searching for a full control on camera app. But alas couldnt dind it This wouldnt be difficult to develop though.

It's frustrating that a phone touted as having one of the best cameras doesn't have something as common as manual controls, and no apps that support it either. Definitely an advantage to the iphone, which has apps like 645 pro.
A frustrating part is the +- 2 stops in the stock camera app doesn't seem to actually represent a full 4 stop range, many times in bright sunlight you still get blown out highlights even at -2, and with no AE lock you can't expose for the brights then recompose. Most reviews, when they compare the cameras, do not compare these aspects, only the output across their test scenes.

Nexus 5x app for increase shutter speed time

Hi,
I can't understand why only LCamera v0.3 can permit us to increase the shutter speed time (normally is 1/5, with this app we can set up to 1/1,2)
I test it (only 0.3 can do it) and the feature function well.
Other camera apps (fv5, proshot, manual camera,...) doesn't implement it, why?
Thanks

The question has already been asked and talked about at this link.

In the thread of the link I don't find my question (and the relative response) then this thread is licit
From the L Camera GitHub page.
https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera/blob/master/README.md
"Bulb mode: Keep capturing DNG images until manually stopped. Note that as the Nexus 5's internal memory writing speed cannot keep up with the rate the camera pushes out new images even at the slowest shutter speed, the camera waits until the previous image is saved before starting a new capture to avoid filling the buffers."
So it's not truly a long open shutter. It's successive captures. At least that's how I interpret the statement.

LCamera 0.3 doesn't have the Bulb mode
I can set the exposure time 1/1,2 and iso 40 and the exif infos give me the real values of 1s and iso 60 and the dark images are spectacular.
I hope that some developer can implement this incredible feature (for n5x) on other app (like fv5, proshot) because Lcamera 0.3 is only a beta

Change shutter speed for long exposure?

On my samsung i had some great manual mods in my camera app.
- Used to take some really awesome long exposure fotos - camera usually open for 2 - 5 sec. Sincs google don't want to give us some manuel controls, does any know an great app where I am able to change shutter speed?
I've heard that the HDR+ only works with the stock camera app`? I will be fine tho, as I can edit it later in Lightroom/Photoshop..
Thanks
You can't go past 1 sec exposure on the pixel. No app can change that. Sorry man.

I use the app Proshot for manual controls, it supports long exposure upto 4 seconds on Pixel 2. So I guess most of the camera apps supporting manual controls can support long exposure upto 4 seconds.

IT looks so great!! Its not possible with pixel 2?
So, any idea how you engage the shutter to take a long exposure image without touching the camera - which will cause camera shake? The voice command "hey google, take a picture" only seems to work from standby mode (when you're not using the phone - but the power is on).

Camera Manual Mode?

Hi guys! Can anyone please tell me the shutter speed and ISO range available in whyred using open camera/ footej camera? I just want to ensure that the device has support for long exposure photography. Thanks in advance, screenshots are appreciated.
Yes. The phone supports the features you mentioned and I use them by downloading third party apps like Footej camera, Camera FV-5, open camera etc

I know it supports manual mode. But I need the range. For eg, the shutter speed range of Redmi Note 3 is 1/1000 to 1/2 seconds. Whereas, higher end phones can keep the shutter open for even 30 seconds. Can you please give me the range? :|

I am guessing you are using FV-5....
If so, I don't really think FV-5, or any other camera app in this case, can take photos with this device (and probably with most MIUI devices) surpassing the 'hard' max shutter time that Xiaomi imposed to the camera stack.
In fact, I've tried using 30 seconds exposures with fixed 100 ISO setting and the images were darker than using fixed 100 ISO and auto shutter.

Maximum shutter speed using zero camera mod for s9?

Hello! I recently discovered the zero camera mod for the s9 (because I was looking to extend the shutter speed). I am wondering, what is the maximum possible shutter speed using this mod? I am using a galaxy s9 with exynos processor running the latest (official) software updates, I have no problem rooting it, assuming it is possible to achieve 30+ seconds shutter speed using this mod.
Thank you!
