In regards to your Samsung Galaxy S10 order - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Woohoo! My S10+ is finally shipping (on 3/15 as originally stated by Samsung). Or so I thought...
"Thank you for ordering your new Galaxy S10 through Samsung.com. Unfortunately, due to a severe weather event at our warehouse, your product is now expected to ship by March 23, 2019. Samsung will send an alert with package tracking information when your order ships. We apologize for any disruptions to your plans this change may cause.
The storm in the Midwest presents severe threats to safety, and we want to keep everyone safe. We hope that knowing we are protecting our delivery and warehouse teams makes this inconvenience tolerable. If you are in the storm’s path, our thoughts will be with you. Everyone at Samsung hopes you will enjoy your new device; it’s why we work hard every day. Your Samsung Support Team."
Oh well. Creating a single point of failure (only one warehouse shipping) has crippled several of the companies I have worked for/consulted for. Chuckle-head bean counters always get it wrong. And we pay for it.

Amazon just doesn't get it right these days. Their Kindle Fire got weak reviews as well, so they ended up shipping the devices early in fear of pre-order cancellations. While Nexus is not their product, it is apparent that they just did not do any market research when getting this phone listed as they would have otherwise selected a more reliable supplier.
Well regardless of this new info, I chatted with someone from Negri a bit ago

Not sure what the Kindle Fire and this release being tangled up have anything to do with one another. They obviously just changed the date to be conservative on the pre-order ship date because they had no other confirmation from Samsung on the matter of when they'd receive shipments. Their supplier is Samsung, they don't really have a choice there.

Well they have to wait for it to be released on the 17th, import them from the UK, then re-send them to individuals in the USA/other countries. So of course there will be a delay.

Well the UK release is 100% confirmed (and re-confirmed) by Samsung and several UK carriers already.

What has been missing from Samsung all along (and what EVERY article I have seen that either says it is or isn't delayed has COMPLETELY missed) is whether Samsung will be shipping it out to all their tier 1 partners in time for them to launch it on the 17th.
Basically, there's been no real doubt (apart from an odd blog post by phones4u) that they were always going to get it on the 17th. What muddied the waters was Amazon saying it will be later and pretty much everyone assuming that if Amazon cant get it on time then no one can. But Amazon aren't the only ones to say delivery won't be until some time after the 17th... Negri put out a statement today, Clove have sent emails out, Handtec put back their date... all these companies would have done this presumably for a very good reason. They are in the business of making money, not pi$$ing off customers which is what these setbacks are prone to do.
What has become clear recently (and only recently) is that O2 and Three have confidently said they will be selling it on the 17th.
So... Contract providers (Phones4U and at least 2 mobile networks) are likely to be selling it on the official launch date meaning Samsung would have always been correct in stating "it will launch in the UK on the 17th" but clearly there are other big players like Amazon and Handtec that sell non-contract handsets that don't seem to be able to launch it on the same day.
It is this glaring difference that Samsung never has and still hasn't cleared up.
I hope I'm wrong but it looks like contract providers have been given priority over sim-free providers hence, YES it will launch on its official launch date BUT, SIM Free handsets from stockists that only sell SIM free will be DELAYED.

[Q] Anyone recieve info on their Negrielectronics preorder?

My order date is 9/22 opted for free ground shipping. Order still says processing. Anyone from Negrielectronics get a tracking no. yet?
I ordered the 18th and nothing - their site now lists expected shipping as 10/4 for the black Note 3.
Between tax and other fees buying from t-mobile locally, it still seems worth it to wait, though it's annoying it'll probably be early next week at the earliest to get these phones.
Most likely will ship Saturday or Monday for everyone. Hopefully we get them by next Thursday. But it's worth the wait for the price, just a little jealous from all the people who already have theirs.
I only pre-ordered mine today, but I was able to use a coupon code (NE20OFFCART) for an extra $20 off. If you guys didn't know about that, you might still be able to get them to apply it before it is charged to your account.
They just changed the estimated availability from 10/4 to 10/10

Maybe they are going to be backordered, and 10/10 is when it is estimated to be available for anyone who is going to order from now on. Just a thought, but most likely not true.

Note 3 T-Mobile
Hello All!
We will be making a dedicated post for the Note 3 T-Mobile info. You will be able to follow this and be updated as to when your order is expected to ship on a general basis. http://www.negrielectronics.com/blog/
Right now we expect stock to arrive any day. What this means exactly is that T-Mobile has released the device, but into limited markets and stock is slowly making their way to us through various other channels. We changed the expected date to "coming soon". It seems people became very upset with us changing our "estimated" dates - they thought it was more so "set in stone'. It's not. It's an estimate and always will be, that's why we use that rhetoric.
You are upset the device is delayed - but we are more upset. We have 250+ orders to fill and 250+ disgruntled customers - you only have one person to tame.
The blog will be updated today with this same information. The good news is that you orders are all safe, uncharged and are still in the order in which they were received. You can cancel at any time, and pick up the device at your local T-Mobile shop for $70-$120 more than on our site; or you can wait for us to get and ship the stock we have expected in the next few days. Either way we just want you happy. If we are able to provide you with the device - great. If not, as long as you get what you want, and are happy, we can not be upset.
We are doing everything we can to get these as soon as possible, with you in mind.
Please check Twitter and the blog for updates on this device and many others that we have coming in.
Thank you for your comments here. We hope that we have answered your questions.
Also, the devices are opened and unlocked. Remote unlocking is only available on iPhones at this time. We are very careful when handling the devices, as our CEO requires that our warehouse staff wear protective gloves when handling and unlocking devices.
Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend.
Thanks for the official answers.

Class Act Negri!
Some people are going crazy over not getting their device as fast as possible. Patience is a virtue, and for your amazing price, I will gladly wait. Please don't take what some of these people say personally, because for many of us, we are really appreciating your hard work!
Update: 10/8/2013 10:32 am PST
Thank you for your continued patience. We have great news! We are shipping some of the earliest orders today! We are going through stock as we speak and will begin to process shipping in the next 3-4 hours. We can not disclose which orders are shipping first, but if you get tracking tonight – you were one of the first! Good news for all other pre-orders – your order is confirmed at the lower price, and stock is beginning to come in on a daily basis.
We have increased our price. Why? Because our cost is higher. All orders placed prior to the price increase will be charged the lower pre-order price! All new orders would need to pay the new price. (One of the many benefits of Pre-Ordering).
Just read this on negri electronics blog.

It's the same thing with any other retailer, minus a few. Unless you've made the purchase, it's always susceptible to price changes.

Samsung Will Sell The Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge Without Its Logo In Japan

Samsung is dialing back the visibility of its corporate brand in Japan after ditching its name from its newest smartphones there, according to The Korea Herald.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge go on sale in Japan on April 23, but customers won’t find Samsung’s logo on the devices as usual, instead they will be co-marketed with carrier partners as the ‘Docomo Galaxy’ and ‘au Galaxy’.
According to the figures from Counterpoint Research, Samsung sat in fifth place in Japan with less than five percent market share during November 2014. That’s in contrast to arch rival Apple, which captured half of all smartphone sales in the country during October and November 2014.
Rumors spiraling earlier this year suggested that the company would exit Japan after failing to make a meaningful impact in the country. Instead, it is giving its phones a shot without any direct links to the mothership — though it remains to be seen how successful that will be given the local penchant for Japanese brands and Apple’s iPhones.
I don't believe that it's a valid source,
how much will they go for?
Based on the OP's other posts, he seems to be a sneaky spammer like I used to see on blackberryforums, so I've reported as such.

Email from Samsung. Sept 21 for availability

Just received this from Samsung.
"as part of our voluntary recall, Samsung is announcing that new Galaxy Note7 replacement devices will be available in the United States at most retail locations no later than September*21,*2016.
The company received approval for its exchange program from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and has announced an official U.S. voluntary recall of the Galaxy Note7. We strongly advise all customers who have Galaxy Note7 devices to replace their current device with a new device under the terms of the U.S. Note7 Exchange Program.
Through the U.S. Note7 Exchange Program, you can:
1. Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 device with a new Galaxy Note7 as approved by the CPSC; or 2. Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and replacement of any Note7 specific accessories with a refund of the price difference between devices; or 3. Contact your point of purchase to obtain a refund.
Details can be found at www.samsung.com/us/note7recall or contact us toll-free at 1-844-365-6197, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your cooperation"

Note 7 Gifts Returning

Those of you who got the gifts i.e. Gear VR, SD card, etc. with your Note 7, please share with us how is in your countries, whether you need to return these items together with phone or not ?
Thank you beforehand.
Here in Slovenia, they want that we return all although accessosries were added as a gift for our preorders.
You don't need to return them anywhere
pre official recall... as in before people knew how to handle it... some did take it back. Others just took the phone
Legal wise they cant ask for it. It was a gift and Samsung is recalling a product and forcing you to return it.
Here in Singapore, we got the lens kit.
I'm keeping that. The lens is good.

Simply untrue.
I only received my Gear VR TODAY from the outlet where I bought my original Note 7 over two months ago! The store has applied on my behalf to Samsung FIVE times to receive my 'free gift' . I have received five confirmation emails yet in the months gone by, with exchange etc, I had still not received one.
On the advice of my lawyer he told me to write a letter to the store outlining the situation. I did that and today the manager of the outlet gave me a Gear VR headset out of his back room stock as the local Samsung importer had informed him yesterday and again today that as there was going to be a total recall on the Note 7 all customers would have to return the free gift!!!!
The manager of the store contacted his head office and was told to give me the VR with the stores best wishes. Samsung's attitude was typical for this country. We have your money now go forth and multiply.
When I am told to return the Note 7 it will HAVE to be in the box with receipt and every single accessory that came with it or Samsung will bill the store! Had I not got a very good relationship with this local store and am an excellent customer I would not have received today the stores gift of the Gear VR.
I said from the start of this awful fiasco that regardless of how Samsung Korea play this out, how each country treats its customers will vary. The American habit of litigation is the reason those in America will be treated totally differently to those of us who live in Europe.
I am stuck with 100.00€ of SAMSUNG cases and screen protectors. I dread to think what Samsung here would tell me what to do with them! If Samsung didn't produce such good devices I would never purchase Samsung again. I accept there has been a major **** up but the way its been handled here is disgusting.

It's official (got e-mail today from service provider) - we in Estonia have to return gift with the phone to get refund or another Samsung phone (S7 or S7 Edge).
Unless it is already official announced and you have read the official statement, else it is still too early to make any assumptions...
Here in Malaysia, before any official statement from Samsung Malaysia was made, people have been spreading "official" rumors that all the free gifts are to be returned to Samsung Malaysia should we opt of a refund. Today, Samsung Malaysia just announced, all we need to return is the Note 7 and its box. All official accessories bought in their or their retail partners' stores can be refunded, provided we can show them the proof of purchase. Those folks who opt for S7 edge will get some extra cash back. Not as good as Samsung US, but can consider not bad.
In the Philippines, I asked Samsung if we need to return the v (welcome gift) and they said no need.
Returned everything today to service provider. They said that promotional gift has to be returned and I did.
At least I could return cases I bought from them and to other shops (and got refunded!).
O2 in the UK told me I needed to return the phone and free gifts, the courier they sent refused to take anything other than the phone. so who knows.
Got a deal from reseller. So not complaining anymore.
CPW here in the UK seem to have wanted the Gear VR back too - I complained and told them I've already sold it on (which is true), so can't return even if I wanted to.
They when relented and will accept just the phone back (not that I've returned it yet).

That's a bum deal. It must just be CPW policy, because I bought mine direct from Samsung UK Store with the free Gear VR and they don't want it back.
Come to think of it, what are they going to do with a used VR ? It's not like they can re-box it and sell it. It wouldn't be particularly hygienic either!
Maybe the staff in the store will... 'find' a use for them and stick them on eBay!
.
Canada I've had to return it.
Yet, if i knew better id put up a fight and would most likely be able to keep my wireless charger and 125gig sd card.

Have you got any Emails to confrim this?
When I spoke to the the other day, they said the wanted everything back.
Well for me, I moaned at them as part of my ongoing complaint, and they have "updated my notes" to reflect the fact that I can return the N7 without the Gear VR. I have this via email so do have it in writing.
Not sure how they would fair refusing to accept a return without it though, considering the situation...

I don't have it in writing but the woman said on the customer helpline, just return the phone. The last recall I didn't even return the phone accessories. It was the phone in a jiffy bag.
The VR was a gift for pre-ordering early. So that's what I did, and that's what they gave. So, if they are forcing me to return the phone they cannot expect the VR to go back too. They haven't asked for it anyway, but if they did they would get the biggest gob full of abuse, no mistake!
.
It's a GIFT. I sent my note complete with all accesories without Gear VR. If someone ask for a gift back in a normal life...how would you call it...rude? Maybe worse....
