Does the Kindle Fire have stereo speakers, or is it Mono?

So I decided to try bluetooth portable speakers with the Kindle fire hdx 8.9 and am pleased to say that even though it is locked tight in Amazons ecosystem they got the sound output right. Might have less to do with the hdx and more to do with the lepow modre bluetooth speaker I was using though. No stuttering and crystal clear audio quality. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the DSP manager on the HDX 8.9 though?
No issues with bluetooth with my Velodyne vFrees either. As for sound there are a few apps out there that may help.
I noticed the new Kindle Fire has same Snapdragon 805 and supports Dolby Atmos decoding through headphones etc. I also noticed this is part of the 805's chipset. Is there a way we can pull this out of the Kindle rom and add it to the Note 4 Developer Edition? If you haven't experienced Dolby Atmos you should take a look. It would be amazing with the large screen to be able to watch virtual surround with good headphones on a plane, bus, bed, or where ever.
The new Amazon fire tv game controller 2015 edition works, I get it to pair, but then I can't get sound to work at all.
Not through the headset, nor through my TV.
I'm super bummed. I picked up two of these expecting them to work.
Hello. I need to set up my Shield TV Pro to use IR to control the volume on my AV Reciever. The problem is that I have a Pioneer receiver that doesn't appear to be supported. Is there a way around this problem? I don't want to use 2 remotes.. Thanks a lot.
The Shield cannot control other devices via IR. Maybe its remote. I am not sure.
Personally I have an 2015 (non-Pro) Shielld TV which I use with an universal remote. My model is URC-7890 and I am using it to control the Shield, TV, amp and a "dumb" robot vacuum cleaner.
Been doing since Black Friday 2015 and I couldn't be any happier.
