Quick brief. Your device doesn't have TWRP, so lets go a tedious way. So please bear with me.
I'll make use of Patch Boot Image method provided within Magisk. This process might* require factory reset, so backup your data.
(*): For best result, please do.
of course this trips Knox
0. Preparation.
You need:
> Your Phone ofcourse. Plus USB cable. Unlock phone's Bootloader first:
+ Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Build Number. Press that a few times until "You are now a developer" Toast appears
+ Head back to Settings, scroll down. Developers Settings should be available.
+ OEM unlock should be available to toggle. Toggle it on. Bootloader should* be unlocked.
(*) Confirmed working.
> A Windows PC, Odin and Samsung Driver installed as per instruction: https://updato.com/how-to/how-to-install-an-official-samsung-stock-firmware-using-odin (at How to use Odin to flash firmware update, Part 1 and 2)

1. Extract boot image.
<!> Assuming you haven't make any changes to boot (which should be without root and twrp)
> Check your firmware: should be in Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Build Number. It will be in form of <codename of Android version> . J260G <...> . Take note of the latter. Thats your firmware.
> Get to a known site for distributing Samsung firmware (SamFirm or Updato). Search and download one for your device that have the EXACT name as the firmware you noted above and for your country.
> Extract your downloaded file, then the AP_ file.
>+ There will be a file named boot.img.lz4, extract it again (tks @dolphindrive for info)
>> Boot.img should be available for you.

2. Download Magisk, Patch Boot image.
> Get latest Magisk zip and Magisk Manager apk (for general users, here is the link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 )
> Connect your phone to PC, allow MTP.
> Send the boot.img, Magisk zip and Magisk Manager apk to your phone.
> On your phone, navigate using My Files to the apk. Install Magisk Manager using the apk file.
> Open Magisk Manager
> Go to settings > patched boot output format > .img.tar (we will flash with Odin)
> Then Install Root > Patch Boot Image. Supply your boot image then follow the instructions.
>> Patched Boot image ( .img.tar ) will be available

Click to collapse
3. Flash Root-patched boot
> Copy the patched file to your PC
[> At this point, I recommend factory reset your phone for best result, though I guess this is not needed]
> Reboot your phone in Download Mode (Power off, then Power + Volume Down button)
> Open Odin on your PC. Click AP, then select patched boot image file.
> Flash it
>> You should have root by now. Check Magisk Manager.

Pretty long eh.. Just feel bored doing Lineage testing for my J2 Prime
P/S: J5 Prime has the exact same chipset. Maybe ask 'em for TWRP port. Much easier that way!

Please use proper English, thankyou
Does that means Root is success?
E: I really doubt that since Samsung include a RMM lock on 2018+ devices

Yes! The PDA is J260MUBS2ARJ8 so I downloaded the firmware and extracted the boot.img
I don't know or I think I can't upload files yet (or post external links), I've sent you a DM with the link
Thank you!

Interesting.
So you sent me boot.img.LZ4 (which is a compressed file). I guess this is default for Oreo+ Samsung firmware.
Anyway, try extracting it to boot.img then try again in Magisk Manager?

Awesome! It did work, I actually never paid attention to that .lz4 extension (didn't knew it was a compressed file, I even tried deleting that part so I would get the .img directly lol ) But it worked, already flashed the patched boot img and the phone is rooted

I didn't (even though I didn't have any data on it), and it booted fine, surprising due that it's on 8.1.0, all the Oreo devices I rooted with twrp gave me that encryption error if I didn't wipe data before

Feedback to me. Plx
Quick test before I fell asleep.
Flashed and started up fine as a secondary ROM.
Went through setup.
Mobile data was working fine.
Back into recovery to flash gapps. I have different minimal gapps so I tried Banks first.
When ROM started I got an error (sorry, forgot) but no problems.
For some reason though my signal bars were grayed out. A little x where it should say 4G. But the data was fine.
I am going to start over with a different gapps. I don't think Banks includes CalendarSync so no good for me.
There is something odd/wrong with keyboard. Long-pressing keys doesn't work. Example, long-press 't' to get number 5 is a no go. Will check that later on second ROM test.

My country has no 4G so I can not test. I do not try to long press the keyboard because it does not support the language of my country, so I use a third-party keyboards.
Okay, these are just a few observations really.
I reflashed with recommended gapps. Though I didn't see one with "-FIX" suffix. Well, it appears to be part of archive name in OP.
Mobile data works fine. Indicator shows 4G or what looks like 4G+ (it's really tiny).
An issue I used to have with 5.0 ROMs reared its ugly head. Music app kept crashing. Gallery showed nothing (or is taking forever to read media). It eventually showed only folders on my internal storage.
Music was listing duplicates of my music files, hence the crashing. Cleared cache/data of Music, Gallery, and Media Storage. After reboot I got nothing. Sat around for awhile to allow for media scanning. No music files or images showing up, save for the one photo I took.
Another reboot and all was good. Music showed correct number of files and played w/o issue. Gallery brought up all images. There are some language issues. One folder's name would switch between "download" and its Chinese counterpart.
Video player works but plays videos in landscape in a stretched fashion. Like old TV shows stretched to fill screen of widescreen HD TVs.
The applets like calendar, contacts, quickremote, quick memo work fine. Haven't tested messaging. Didn't see any MMS options in settings.
Far as system goes I haven't seen any problems. It boots up fine, no FCs or bad behavior yet.
There is the occasional delay between pressing back and something happening.
Next test is to see what happens when I restore a core set of apps that I use with every rom. Its a TiBu flashable zip. Let's see if I break anything. [emoji6]

The video player can make the stars? I even have never seen it open a public video. There is a patch work with an older version of ROM but when I updated to copy this 4.5.3.1R it has not worked. Thank you for your enthusiastic response.
I have used this rom as a primary rom. I'm on day 2. All the issues the guy 2 postn above me says i don't see them. The gallery is a bit tricky. You have to select some of the folders to be shown awd set your read to 1024/2048. The video issue i think everyone has that. Btw I'm getting the best battery life ever. Check out my screenshot. By now i would be on 70%.

I mean, used as the main ROM for anyone not used multirom. And with multirom of course must have kernel support Kexec Hardboot. I built one kexec kernel support and so if you want to just replace the kernel is finished!
Haha, I see you caught my post anyway. I wasn't paying attention to who I was replying to at first. Thanks for clearing that up. ?

Testing out the .2R build. Clean flash.
There is no navbar, at all. There are no settings to turn it on.
Started over with previous build. Navbar is there. Dirty flashed new over old. No navbar.
If it wasn't for SmartTouch there would be no way to navigate.
Just a heads up.

After flashing the ROM I used another secondary ROM to access Flyme's files and made the edit.
Been giving the ROM a thorough testing today. Mostly okay. Still haven't tested Bluetooth or Wi-Fi since I rarely use them.
All the basics are good to go.
I dig the package installer with built-in permissions management. Something AOSP should have had a long time ago.
I wish Flyme had some kind of navbar configuration though. It's weird not having a menu button for me.

Super clean rom! Great work! Cant wait to see more! Only qualms so far is that there doesnt seem to be a way to move the text cursor on the latest build and the keyboard is a special kind of horrible remnicent of windows mobile 4 lol.
Bugs: when saving an mms, the gallery app force closes
This is a great start, but still needs some refinement. The keyboard is pretty useless, and the only big big that I have is that after locking and unlocking my phone the system locks up and the only way to fix it is to reboot.

[Guide][TWRP][Recovery][Root] Leagoo T5C (Spreadtrum SC9853i)

Hello everyone.
I'm no expert, but I bought the Leagoo T5C and I tried to flash TWRP and and to use it to root the phone, and after hours of digging through the 4pda thread with Google Translate and some trial-and-error I succeeded.
I'd like to share with you what I did in the form of a guide.
As always, I take no responsibility if this bricks your phone.
Prerequisites:
1. My phone came with the ROM version OS2.1_E_20180310, if yours differ you can download the 20180310 ROM from the Leagoo website:
http://www.leagoo.com.my/support/firmware/
This procedure may or may not work for other ROMs. I don't know.
2. Download this archive:
http://www.mediafire.com/?03sggy76mqouj16
It contains all the necessary files.
Alternatively, download all the files used from their sources:
original_boot.img and twrp3.0.3full.img (by jemmini) downloaded from 4pda:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=871989&view=findpost&p=72084529
patched_boot.img (by leo2m) downloaded from 4pda:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=871989&view=findpost&p=70143767
Magisk-v17.1.zip (by topjohnwu) downloaded from XDA:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
(Before Magisk I tried SuperSU but it failed to install)
3. You will need the ADB+Fastboot binaries. If you don't have them you can get them here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
4. Copy twrp3.0.3full.img and Magisk-v17.1.zip to your ADB directory on the PC.
Copy original_boot.img and patched_boot.img to your phone's storage.
optional: Install leagoo T5C ADB driver.
The only driver that worked for me was this driver from Xiaomi:
http://bigota.d.miui.com/tools/xiaomi_usb_driver.rar
(8,672,261 bytes, CRC32: B62ED7DB)
optional: Allow unlocking the bootloader (OEM unlock) and usb debugging from developer options (If you don't know how to get to the developer options google it). I did this prior to everything but I don't think this step is necessary (although it can't hurt).
Lets start:
1. Put the phone in fastboot mode, either by adb (adb.exe reboot bootloader) or by entering stock recovery and selecting to reboot to fastboot.
To enter recovery turn off the phone and then hold both the power button and Vol- button together until you see the lcd turn on. Then you can release both buttons.
2. Connect the phone to the PC via usb and install the fastboot drivers (mine installed automatically so I don't know where to download from).
3. Open a command prompt and flash the recovery and boot images by executing the commands:
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery twrp3.0.3full.img
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
fastboot reboot
The phone will reboot to the Android OS.
4. Enter recovery by button press (see step 1) or by ADB (adb.exe reboot recovery).
5. Now, this is the tricky part. TWRP will work but only for a few seconds and then the phone reboots. Took me a few tries but I managed to make it stop rebooting by quickly swiping to allow modifications then quickly rebooting to recovery (TWRP>Reboot>Recovery).
6. I installed the original boot (TWRP>Install>Install image>original_boot.img) but I don't think this step is necessary (If you choose to do this DON'T EXIT TWRP until you do step 7).
7. Install Magisk.
8. Reboot to system.
You're done!
Help me please
Sir, can u give me files (boot.img &recovery.img) from stock rom? Please. I wanna back to stock, replace twrp. This because I can't flash rom with spd flashtool. Spd flashtool need stock recovery, right??

Fredy84. This language is Italian

Qualcuno saprebbe indicarmi cosa posso fare per reinstallare l'intero sistema? Vi ringrazio comunque, e buona giornata. Fredy84. This language is Italian

Hi guys,
It's been a while, and I don't know if this thread is still alive, though by the look of it (last post goes back a couple weeks), it should be.
I too have a Leagoo T5c, that I bought on GearBest in December 2017, so I got one of the first ones to hit the market, I presume.
Phone still works fine, aside from the battery that holds charge less and less as time goes by, but that's to be expected.
The point of my posting here is, Where can I find the *truly* latest ROM for this phone? I try OTA every once in a while, and the phone tells me the 20180310 update is the latest, but on NeedRom, they "offer" (for a fee, which I refuse to pay for such a bargain phone) a ROM that goes back to August of 2018.
I don't want to shell out an extra-dime for this phone, which serves its purpose day to day. I only want to install the latest security updates and a newer Android version if it comes in the package, otherwise I'll make do with what I have until I can buy a more recent phone.
So, can anyone point me in the direction of a *free* (as in, free beer) and more recent than March 2018 ROM download for my Leagoo T5c?
Hi stuff!!! nice to see u again ?
my latest .pac is August release. I not use it, because mine is totally dead
https://cutt.ly/4UglyStuff

Hi iYanLiD!
Yep, it's been a while. Lots of work, too little time, but that question was always at the back of my mind. I too am waiting for the right opportunity to buy a more modern phone. If I can, I'll go with the new Pixel 4a, I think, because it checks all the right boxes for me: great photo, good storage (128GB, non-extensible, though), decent RAM (6GB is a minimum, these days), and a 3.5 mm jack audio, plus you have the guarantee of immediate security updates, which I sorely miss with the Leagoo, however good it is for the price in other areas.
Thanks for the .pac, man (got it?) I'm downloading it right now. Will install it over the weekend, I'll let you know if I bricked my phone or not...
See ya!
wish u all dbest man!
if I have opportunity, I will get redmi 10x pro.
it's mediatek, but it's okay
other specs really suits me
I'm waiting your t5c news ??

Well, I've got everything I need, but the flashing application just won't recognize my device. Drivers are installed, application starts, loads the .pac file, but the line where my device is supposed to be is void, so clicking on the Download button doesn't do anything.
I'm not trying to root my device here, just trying to flash a more recent ROM, so any help and advice would be most welcome.
EDIT: scratch that, apparently, you have to press ALL the physical buttons at once to install. That is, the Power button and both the Volume Up and the Volume Down buttons.
My phone is now running the ROM gently supplied by iYanLiD. I just have to reinstall my apps, and my music. Can't live without it. Thanks a bunch, and see you next time (à la GSM Arena)!
I gotta hand it to you, C4lculated, you had it down pat... Almost... In my case, I had to reinstall bootloader drivers from Device Manager because otherwise, I was stuck with the infamous "waiting for device" message in Command Line.
After that, everything went well, and my T5c is now rooted... And still working... So far, so good!
Now, I made the mistake (?) to backup the factory image AND the installed image, which means I'm now down over 10GB in storage because of that. Is there a way in TWRP to delete one or the other, and reclaim at least 3.5GB?
hi UglyStuff
how about:
Twrp > mount > check 'system' > back > advanced > file manager. Navigate to the file and choose 'delete'.
or file explorer root?
or maybe titanium backup
please be careful
Actually, I did that directly from file explorer when in Android, then rebooted the phone, and everything was OK.
That was ***before*** I tried to install Android 11 on my phone, that is... (facepalm emoji)
Hi guys, today after thousands of experiments i try to flash my leagoo t5c rom. Later 200: uart errors!!!At least,i start every driver and tools for windows than i download from web,i'll take original Rom from Leagoo site and the tools, after various problems and tools, for many different errors,i see a tutorial, and them...The secret is,when u got to start download whit spd tool(really i used UPGREADABLE,or something same but it's chinese version similar of SPD), at phone off, push up and down volume at firsts 15 20 seconds of download. I hope it working as mine. Sorry i'v not link, cause download become in a lucky moment. Says me if for u is the same! Bye!

The best flashing tool is the one Leagoo provides on their support page (here; download link: here), along with the latest official build, date March 2018.
My own T5c runs the August 2018 build iYanLiD was kind enough to supply (here), and is now rooted too, though I honestly don't see the point now, given that update/upgrade is still out of the question due to the exotic SoC this phone has.
I've installed a couple interesting Magisk module, like the one that brings OnePlus fonts and gimmicks (it's called "Oxy-ify") and one called "ACC" that's supposed to better regulate battery charging, though I don't see much of a difference, to be honest.
I'm thinking about unrooting the phone, wipe out the whole drive with TWRP, and flashing the August 2018 ROM again, this time for good.
This phone will forever stay on Nougat anyway, so why bother flashing ROMs until we're blue in the face?

4.Debloat list update.
1.0.0
1.Support G980F.
2.All basic features implemented.
FAQ/Known issues:
1.Accessibility -> Visibility enhancements can not be open. This is due to nasty Samsung requires Samsung keyboard's content provider to open this setting. Since Samsung keyboard is considered as bloatware, so you wouldn't be able to open this setting. But in reality, there is nothing need to be set in this setting unless you are colour-blind or having other vision disorder.
2.Please don't mod /system partition. Originally, if you using the official firmware, you can't even edit /system partition. Now you can with edited super.img and root access, but it will cause boot loop. I believe this is a mount issue with logical partition. To save your soft brick phone, the easily way is extract super.img from AP, compress super.img to super.tar, then simply flash super.tar as AP in odin and reboot, no need to wipe data/factory reset.
3.Riru Edxposed is fully compatible, since it is systemless.
4.If you found any app you want to use is in the debloat list, you can try to manually install but please do not ask me how to fix certain apps, such questions won't be answered again and again.
5.Generally speaking, if you found any app does not work but it is not in the debloat list, chances are you forgot wipe data/cache in recovery after flashing this rom.

Hi, I only have S20 G980F. To release a custom firmware, I need to test it on real device to make sure it won't break your phone, because I can't expect everyone to have the ability to save their soft-bricked phone. I saw some people doing this to expect others to test for them, but that is not my current way of doing things, maybe it will change in the future. Thanks for understanding.

It is rooted by patching boot.img with Magisk.
If you asking how to make this ROM, you need to use Linux. 1. extract tar 2. extract lz4 3. convert sparse img to ext img 4. mount and edit that img 5. convert ext img back to sparse img.
Can someone post system.img vendor.img unpacked from super.img
Thank you very much for your efforts, is there anyway to get my led cover working? I've tried downloading the APK with no luck
i understand it right, that i just have to unlock bootloader? So i only have to do stage 1,2 and then i can flash it?
And should i use my HOME_CSC (DBT)?
I just unlocked my boot loader, then booted system to check its unlocked in developer options, then flashed using Odin using only the files in the download,I didn't add my own home CSC,

Sorry, I didn't expect anyone use Samsung's offcial led cover. So I deleted that supported apk as a bloat. Next update I will include that apk.

if editing system causes bootloop then u probably didnt disable avb.. u cant disable simply by editing vbmetq anymore.. theres more steps to it then that

The way to disable avb is from ((https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...mware-t4079353)), I mentioned that in the post.
However, I don't think bootloop is caused by avb.
I guess is caused by super.img. Cuz super.img uses logical partition, I use lpunpack/lpmake to unpack/repack that to system.img, product.img, odm.img, vendor.img.
I guess maybe some data lost during these processes causes the entire system.img uneditable, but it won't affect your normal daily use.
Cuz I tried only root with magisk with stock firmware, the entire system partition is read only. But with my repacked super.img, you can edit system partition, but it can cause bootloop.
There is no twrp for firmware packed with super.img, even they don't know how to mount logical partition properly, so I can only do my best lol

Thank you for putting this altogether, this should speed up the development work for this phone(kernel etc), as people don't have to go to service center for hard brick.
Also I want to tell you, I shouldn't get the credits for bypass_utility, the two people you mentioned should be getting the credits, I just forked(copy/cloned) the repository.
I assume you are new to github, anyone can fork(copy/clone) a repository by clicking on fork button
You can differentiate whether a repository is forked(copied) or original by seeing on the top left side.

Anyone who facing problem when bootrom check, you have to flash first time or it will show error. Otherwise you have to uninstall and reinstall libusb.exe and others.
Ok, thanks to ATDTEAM, very much, I bricked by patching boot image with magisk and flashing it, successfully flashed stock rom .ofp with SP Flash tool, not only this , I itentionally flashed another version , and it worked to, thnx to the bypass utility, it generates questions, the realme provides ozip files, so where are .ofp files coming from, or where we can get it, and... Fawazahmed0 , I am unable to flash twrp, I tried everything I could, I am on updated Android 10 c.19 now, so I can't flash custom recovery or root it... I can't even rollback bcoz I unable to find the older version ofp files, the ozip files just don't install, so please help for rooting Android 10, You have solved a major hurdle by introducing the method of bypass sp tool flashing but, the next step of flashing custom recovery and then rooting awaits... Pls help/ guide, Thnx...
Thanks brother, I've recently unbricked my device

crDroid (10) GSI ported to HUAWEI P10 Lite (Tested On WAS-LX1A)

Hi guys, i ported the crDroid gsi from here.
I removed the unnecessary files from the rom, and included gapps.
And AIO fixes thanks to @DarkJoker360.
Install steps are easy.
1. Download the ROM from HERE.
2. Extract it.
3. Download Pretoriano80's TWRP from "HERE" and flash it using "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk <path to TWRP.img>".
4. After that reboot to TWRP while holding the VOL+ and POWER button.
5. In TWRP wipe internal storage and flash "THIS" to decrypt the phone.
6. Reboot to TWRP again.
7. Reboot to bootloader while in TWRP.
8. Flash DarkJoker360's TWRP.
9. Wipe everything except Vendor.
10. Transfer the system.img from the rom to your device's internal storage.
11. Tap on Install, then tap on install image, look for the system.img and flash it as System Image and reboot.
I haven't had any bugs for now, if u find something tell me.
It doesn't work.

Which TWRP recovery did you use?
At first - twrp_p10_lite_0.6_test
Then - TWRP_3.4.0-0-warsaw_DarkJoker360_20200611

Hi...
ok i will give you a method that i used to get it work on my p10 lite WAS-LX1A 4Gb Dual-Sim
First...if you come from latest stock rom was-lx1a 8.0.0b398c432 you need to downgrade to was-lx1a 8.0.0b394c432 with dload or how ever you prefer. cause with b398 you system partition is just 3,7Gb and can not get rezise. but with the b394 you can rezise it but its no need to. cause after encrypting with fstab.hi6250b and the known following steps...format wipe and so on...the system partition have a size from 4.5gb.
I use the Pretoriano80 TWRP 3.2.1.0 twrp_p10_lite_0.5_test.img
then after initial boot and setup the first config....you can see in apps there is superuser app...its integrate in the Rom.
For using magisk i did the following steps thanks to @Hami_Do
hang-in the system and open file manager in TWRP
delete the following
system/bin/adb_root
system/bin/abdb
system/etc/init/adb_root.rc
system/etc/init/adbd.rc
system/etc/init/su.rc
system/app/superuser
system/bin/su
system/xbin/su
flash the stock ramdisk.img
btw camera works with different modi
for magisk...thanks to @Hami_Do i use v23.0apk
then roboot to TWRP
there flash magisk v23.0-phh.zip
Works on a Was-Lx3 9.00.366 (C212)?
emui 8 stock With elemental kernel v5
Cada vez que instalo una rom personalizada desde Android 9.0, da la animación de arranque y allí se reinicia de vez en cuando hasta que termina en recuperación.

Why you dont try it? Make a Backup of your current System and return to Stock Rom cause you change Kernel and what ever more. After the initial boot configure the Stock Rom to activate Dev-Opt where you can activate OEM unlock and USB Debugging and so on...

I already did that and it did not leave me the same problem that happened to the first comment I did everything that the post says
Damn, same problem:
"size of image is larger than target device"
The ROM works fine, although I notice it's quite slow when opening apps and animations. The fingerprint reader also doesn't works sometimes like if it wasn't there but is fixed after a restart.
hello all , thanks for this ROM.
I have a problem when I follow every step without any mistakes. my phone does not want to start . just leave twrp mode and open Huawei eRecovery ( download latest version and recovery * wide data/factory reset * reboot ...)
I don't know why my can't start normally .even the logo not shown
thanks in advance
It is possible to have a detailed guide how to install ?
Thanks.
Hi...
ok a repeat again....if you come from Stock Rom with latest Version called WAS-LX1A 8.0.0.398 C432 your System Partition is just 3,7Gb. You need to downgrade to 1 Version before called WAS-LX1A 8.0.0.394 C432 then the System Partition is 4,5Gb. Now you can flash this custom Rom.
For downgrade use dload method and
Huawei P10 Lite WAS-LX1 WAS-L21 hw eu Warsaw-L21A 8.0.0.394(C432) Firmware EMUI8.0 05014JNC [androidhost.ru].zip - AndroidHost.RU
Download file - Huawei P10 Lite WAS-LX1 WAS-L21 hw eu Warsaw-L21A 8.0.0.394(C432) Firmware EMUI8.0 05014JNC [androidhost.ru].zip
androidhost.ru
download the package and in there you find software/dload and there are 4 folder and 1 update_sd.zip
create a dload folder on your desktop and extrac the update_sd.zip and the 1 folder for your Device. so my is a WAS-LX1A (LX1A=L21A) cause of this i extrac the WAS-L21A folder.
put the update_sd.zip and WAS-L21A folder from downloadet package into the createt dload folder on your desktop. Now copy/paste this dload folder from desktop to external-sd card in your Device, Power off the Device and restart it with press and hold Vol-up+Vol-down+Pwr (no usb cable plugged) now the firmware update should start and wait for progress is finished.
