wipe data problem - Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Questions & Answers

Hi my Max 3 has gone into MI-Recovery 3.0 mode
The options are (a) reboot - when I click on this it brings up a picture of Miui 10 in background with some chinese options about entering wifi passwords?
(b) wipe data - when I click on this it takes me to 'wipe all data', I click again and it asks me to confirm 'wipe all data', it then gets to about 3% on a spacebar and says 'data wiped successfully', and then takes me back to main menu again
(c) connect with mi assistant - asks me to plug phone in using USB then doesn't seem to recognise it
Any body any ideas please on how to reboot my Max 3?
Thank you

Unfortunately your phone is in EDL mode (download mode). Only an authorized Xiaomi account can recover it.
This is due to ARB which is active in Mi Max 3 and other Xiaomis. If you try to go back to the Android or Rom version (in some cases), this will start.

Backup non-rooted LG G4 stuck in "UI stopped working" loop

Hello everyone,
Yesterday, after I tried to charge my LG G4, it stopped booting properly: it seems to boot "normally" under the hood, except that the system UI is not properly loading so instead I get a black screen and a message "Unfortunately system UI stopped working". If I click "ok", it comes back within two seconds (the screen stays black apart from the error message). I cannot do anything, like unlock the phone or access anything on it, despite the fact that I can hear notifications coming in.
Unfortunately phone is not rooted, developper mode isn't enabled, and I don't have a custom recovery. I would do a factory reset if it weren't for my Google Authenticator codes, some of which I haven't properly backed up like an idiot. Thus I was wondering what I could do to back up my phone or solve the issue.
Here is what I've already tried:
Press down VOLUME DOWN + POWER to enter recovery mode, but since I don't have custom recovery this only gives me the option to do a hard factory reset and lose all my data.
Use adb commands to access my phone, but I get "unauthorized device" because I haven't enabled developper tools on the phone.
Use the app "LG Bridge" on my mac, but it also doesn't work for the above reason.
I see three possibilities, but I don't know whether any is genuinely doable:
Solve the issue of the error message, which from what I've read requires me to wipe the cache. But how to do that without custom recovery?
Somehow bypass the UI to unlock the phone and unable developer tools
Manage to backup the phone from my computer while its locked without developper tools enabled.
Note that obviously this is my phone, I know my passwords, I have access to my Google account, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, without my Google Authenticator data I'll be locked out of an important email account.

Well at least you can backup your phone in download mode with SALT ( https://bit.do/SALTatXDA ) but restoring is another story.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I'll try backing up with SALT tonight. There are two things I'm wondering:
How do you think I could extra data from the backup?
Will I be able to wipe the cache or enable usb debugging with SALT? That might solve the issue.

You can mount the userdata partition on Linux (e.g in FWUL) and then browse through it like it's on your phone.
You can wipe the cache paetition in SALT yes. It's in the advanced menu there (erase partitions -> select cache and only that). It will not wipe the dalvik cache though.
I dunno about the USB debugging though. Maybe there is a way but if so you would need a very unrestricted download mode (depends on model and firmware). And the whole process is not easy.
It requires again SALT and there you have in the advanced menu the option to open a shell.
Here you can mount userdata with
mount /data
But it's usually mounted already. Then it's a try and error. You could e. G. try to delete the dalvik cache etc.

Hi!
I've found out that the Google Auth keys are in /data/data/com.google.android.apps.authenticator2/databases/databases. So I need to backup /data/. However, when I show the list of partitions with SALT, I don't see /data/. Is there a way to backup /data/ on my unrooted device?
Secondly, I haven't managed to wipe the dalvik cache with the command shell, would you be able to point me in the right direction?
Thank you so much!

Developer Options are not available for this user on Custom ROM

Hi Everyone,
My android phone details:
Xiaomi Redmi 1S
Custom ROM based on AICP
Android ver. 7.1.2
Possibly I'm on Guest Mode
My Concern
Few days back,
I realized that my Magisk not working
Then, gradually found out
Home button, Recent buttons stopped working
Notifications not popping up
Google Play store throwing user error for my Google Account
I suspect myself on Guest Mode
Settings->Users, not opening any user list
'Developer Options not available for this user' msg appears when I clicked on Settings->Developer Options
What Did I Do So Far:
My phone not booting into TWRP recovery mode when (Power Off+Volume Up) pressed all together as my phone always boots up into system(means to OS) & not into TWRP recovery.
I tried Nova Launcher using 'Activities' trick;
in Setup wizard, I was unable to find out
SetUpWizardTestActivity or SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity options which supposed to flash my phone
There's only one option called "Activating Mobile Service" which no use
What My Phone Can Do:
It can boot into Fastboot mode only by holding VolumeDown+PowerOff 2gether, then I can clearly see Xiaomi bunny logo appears along with Fastboot text appears.
What information Do I Need:
Since Developer Options not accessible on my phone, how can I connect my phone to pc & initiate ADB commands,
Is it possible? Bcz 'Usb debugging'can't be toggle over from Settings -> Developer Options
Can Anybody find out for custom ROM, how can Nova Launcher trick works i need file location for these files
SetUpWizardTestActivity, SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity SetUpWelcome something like this
I learned that on Samsung phones
These files can be easily mapped under SetupWizard
Try flashing MIUI via fastboot mode since you are able to boot into fastboot mode(yes I know USB debugging is off) still give it a try.
MIUI Fastboot ROMs are available on MIUI Forum.
If are able to use play store then try apps which allows to boot into recovery trough app.
There's an app "simple reboot for rooted users" by Fransisco Franco, this app works fine to boot into recovery mode.
Try and see if your device able to boot into recovery mode.
If play store not working then sideload apps from internet.
Or
Try flashing custom recovery again using twrp manager, flashify or other recovery flashing apps or just flash recovery via fastboot method and try booting into recovery mode.
Also make sure to other your choice ROM ready to flash in memory card or in pen drive (using otg cable.)
If I remember correctly nougat ROMs are quite heavy for Redmi 1S because whenever I used them I had lag and heat up when using mobile data.
Other than that they are good, I am currently using MIUI 9 on Redmi 1S since it's not my primary device.
Developer Options are not available for this user message appears when
I click on Settings->Developer Options
Device: Infinix Hot 5 lite
Android Version: 7.0
My main concern;
To recover deleted messages
What I have done so far;
Option 1.
I tried Nova Launcher using 'Activities' trick;
in Setup wizard, I was unable to find out
SetUpWizardTestActivity or SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity options which supposed to flash my phone
"I only have one "Setup Wizard" with one option under it a: ".activating cellular service". Selecting that doesn't seem to help"
Option 2.
Settings > About Phone > Build number > Tap it 7 times to become developer;
I have tried tapping 5, 7 or even 100 times and "you're now developer" message never shows up

I have the same problem
did yall ever come up with a solution for this?

Severe Problem with my A70 Please Help if Possible

so i Erased my cache and wiped factory reset my phone but now it won't let me get into the main area without a pin or account.
anyway around this? maybe a Rom Flash?
It happend to me too as in the beginning it starts to search for updates but it failes because of server problems
So just leave it in the setup connected to wifi for 20 min and it should be fine again
Seems like you have forgotten your pin/password
To reset pin /password
Connect your phone to pc
Open Samsung Side sync
Use top three dot menu on side sync for emergency rescue.
That would download stock firmware and flash it and allow you to bypass pin screen
If that not possible, flash stock firmware via odin ( don't use home csc). This way your phone will go to factory reset and settings allowing you to enter new pin /password

RN8P blocked with Mi account.

I found a RN8P and is blocked by Mi account, I waited for the go owner to call but nothing. Is there a way I can unblock it so I can reach the owner? I don’t want to spend money on it since it won’t be for me. Any thoughts,ideas, advices?
Here is the instruction, but it is in Russian

I had the same Problem, i buyed a RN8P where the Seller has forgotten his Password from his MI Account. One Day i wiped all Data because the Phone was messed up with unnecessary Programms and Data and after rebooting there comes a black screen and "This Device is locked".
After Weeks of reseaching over the inet and trying multiple Ways and Account Remover, Unlocker, etc. i have found a Solution! You can remove the MI Account from your RN8P by using this Guide to flash a new firmware following this Guide:
UNBRICK BEGONIA NO AUTH
Requirements: 1) PC 2) Internet 3) Patience Windows Method: • Download this file - Click-Here (Download from Telegram) (https://mega.nz/file/A4YSEZaA#0Jk3_jH8uVtMnATciVRtWw2r_SH0NPLq4P6SrGNuwJQ)
telegra.ph
Note that is very importand that you do that without connection to the internet! You have to do some additional steps....
First you have to format 3 Partitions on the Phone: Go to the "Format" Area of SP Flash Tool, select "Manual Format" and type
(to format the FRP Partition) Begin Adress "0x5888000", Format Lengh "0x100000"
(to format the MI Account Partition) Begin Adress "0xe188000" Format Lengh "0x4678000"
(to format the userdata Patition) Begin Adress "0x1d2800000" Adress Lengh "0x30000000"
You have to run the "BROM Tool" everytime before you can do one Action with the SP Flash Tool, means before each Format or before each flash. The SP Flash Tool will crash after formatting each Partition but thats not bad, just restart, run the BROM Tool and continue. After you have formatted these 3 partitions you can flash a firmware of your choice.
After flashing turn your phone on (dont insert a SIM Card or connect it with Wlan to the Internet!), go to the main options and disable any automatic update you can find! Such as automatic Firmware or App Updates. You have to deinstall or deactivate every original Xiaumi App just to be sure. I also deactivated some Certificates from Companies but you should be very careful with this.
Why you have to deactivate those Xiaomi Apps and automatic Updates?
The Xiaomi FRP Protection is Server hosted, so when you have disabeld the MI Account FRP Protection with the Steps above, some Apps on your Phone could call Xiaomi Servers and automatically sends the Serial Number (not the IMEI, i mean the Serial Number you see with the fastboot command "fastboot devices") home and the Xiaomi Servers tell back that its a "blacklistet Device" and it will go in locked state again. So you have to do everything again.
I hope i could help some of you guys who have the same problem like me. Unforgently xiaomi support doesn't help people (regardless wich problem). Please excuse my English, i'm not a native speaker, if you have further questions or other issues, please feel free to ask!
If you have Problems tonuse the "BROM-Tool" please note that you have to install TWO Device filters for mediatek devices!
hi i tried this and i downgrade it bypas mi account and enter the systemand seems to be ok but when connect internet and phone licking again in mi account. what can i do to?

Motorola One Action auto update failed now stuck on "Just a sec..."

Hi,
My Motorola One Action is original (so no custom firmware or rooted) and every now and then i receive auto updates. Recently the phone was upgraded to Android 11. Fine.
Last weekend there was an update and in the morning the phone was stuck on Android bootloader with the question "format" or "retry" (cannot remember exactly, but it was 2 questions) and i chose "retry". The device rebooted; android logo showed up and then the google/android assistant showed up with the notification "Hello" and a lanuage selector.
I choose NL or EN and then a white screen with "Just a sec..." appears and this screen will stay there forever. I put the phone on charger and waited 30 hours, still the same.
What i tried:
- reboot;
- press & hold power button long time; reboot;
- turn off and then volume Down + Power key bootloader. There isnt much i can do here;
- from screen above; go to fastboot mode (volume Up + power) but unfortunately there is no whipe cache option; only whipe data / factory reset.
FYI: there are still a lot of photo's on the device; i dont want a factory reset and/or whipe data.
I put device in bootloader mode again, connect with usb and installed "Rescue and Smart Assistant". The device recognized, IMEI is found and more stuff. In this Windows app i can download the correct firmware; i store it in c:/motorola/firware. The file is troika_reteu_rsbs31.q1-48-36-23-2_subsidy-default_regulatory-default_cfc.xml.zip
The the "Start Rescue" button is shown; but the message "Flashing removes all data from device".
I dont want that so i followed this guide:
The conversion went OK and executed the file generated (.bat), immediately a upload process starts; this takes about 5-6 minutes. After that; a device reboot and still... the same result.
Any tips or advice would be very helpful (i hope).
I found this; looks promising

How to bypass Google Account Verification - FRP lock on Motorola One Action Android 11 2021 2022 without computer XT2013 Amazon Prime & Factory Unlocked
lgstylo3plus.com
But unfortunately the image browser does not respond.
I have contacted Motorola / Lenovo using their forum. In short their answer is that for almost sure the only way is to completely reset the device that means whiping data.
Is there absolutely no way to access the data partition?
I used ADB to flash a newer and older version of android.
Both version gave a error message directly when phone powered on.
Then i re-installed the current version of android; phone worked again. Unfortunately all data lost.
