Best version of Pie to flash on Korean SMT835N? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Questions & Answers

I do not really understand, does it matter which country firmware I use? I live in the USA and use TMobile for service on my tablet so I'd like the best firmware to match that. Will a US SM-T835 firmware work on my SM-T835N? I know it's not released yet, but I can wait. Or do I need the Korean update for my model?
Thanks in advance.

Note that US version is T837 instead of T835 so there might be a difference in ROM partition.
I believe someone on XDA flashed T835 firmware on T835N but there doesn't seem to be any additional confirmation.

[Q] Flash new firmware

Hi, I just bought a galaxy note II for hong kong but the firmware installed on it is one from chinese origin --'
Is it possible for me to flash an european firmware on it? I have many apps that come in chinese, and this sucks ><
Please help.
Samfirmware and grab a firmware from your area its a international note 2 so your fine
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Like above said. Go to www.samfirmware.com, then go to "Firmwares and Files", choose Model and whichever country you want, and download it. Then, use Odin to flash it into your phone. Simple.
Your phone should be the international note 2. The model is "GT-7100 - Galaxy Note II".
Do you need to be rooted first before flashing a new ROM?
I am receiving a Chinese version tomorrow (UK), and was wandering if I could just change the CSC code and get get rid of anything that's in chinese language?
Thankyou

What you mean by international version?
What are the differences?
I ask because I am failing to flash mine and it might not be international (probably).
Thanks

If your phone doesn't have 4G (LTE), then it's the international version, GT - N7100.

USA Stock Rom SM-T800 Galaxy Tab S 10.5?

I'm trying to find the stock ROM for the US region. The closest I've been able to find is UK. I have the UK version installed, and OTA and all other features appear to be working, but I'd much rather have the US region ROM.
Thanks!

I'm really interested in the answer to this question also. Can anyone please post an answer.
Can you please link the T835n update that you used. I'm still trying to figure out how to buy the right tablet off ebay that is unlocked.
Also did pie break anything on the tablet? I read something about a couple of programs didn't work anymore but can't find the thread now.
I want the LTE even though I have Verizon now I might switch to t-mobile if this works since my DW's iPad needs replacement soon. Because screw Verizon.
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-s4/firmware/SM-T835N/
This thread has been dead a long time, but maybe this info will be useful for someone anyway ...
My Tab S4 SM-T830 died. Don't like the keyboard form factor on the Tab S6/S7 (very hard to use on a plane and I travel a lot) ...
So, bought an SM-T835N (new from S. Korea) that arrived today. Decided to risk flashing the UK version of the SM-T835 ROM (from Sammolbile) onto it, in theory, I could always reflash the original ROM if things didn't work out.
All good! The SM-T835N now reports as an SM-T835. Put in a Vodafone SIM and that works ... so, happy-chappy me!
Now have LTE/4G and 6GB of RAM

SM-G988W flash?

Hi folks, I came across several posts mentioning cross compatibility between the U and the U1 variants. I have a Samsung Canada bought unlocked Ultra with the 988W code. Since its a unlocked snapdragon version, could someone please let me know if I can use ODIN and flash the latest snapdragon compatible firmware or are there any restrictions? I am using the device in Canada with a Canadian sim, however the super delayed updates here have been beyond frustrating!
All help is appreciated.

Works fine. You can flash latest TMB ATE6 to it. Use Home CSC to maintain your current data.

No problem to flash with T-mobile (G988U) for G988w canada ?
Wish I found out about this sooner. Just flashed my S20 (981W) to 981U and it seems to work great. Also as a bonus the disable shutter sound option now shows in the camera settings.
I flashed the t-mobile (TMB) firmware using AP_G981UXXXX, BL_G981UXXXX, CP_G981UXXXX and HOME_CSC_OMC_OYN_G981UXXXX.

I had to setup samsung pass again but it downloaded all my saved passes afterwards. Samsung pay seems to work with no errors. Same with samsung health.
Will this work with any SM-G988W (i.e. bought through a carrier)? I know in Canada all cell phones must be unlocked by law so I'm wondering if there is any difference vs one purchased directly through Samsung.
Update:
I pulled the trigger and loaded the T-Mobile ATE6 firmware on my Freedom Mobile purchased s20u phone with the home_csc option. As far as I can tell, everything is working as before (LTE, VoLTE, Wifi-calling).
Obviously YMMV, and make sure to backup beforehand.
Should work. All firmware is the same in Canada across all carriers from what I've seen.
https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G988W
For the above link all carriers show G988WVLS1ATD3 having the same build date and md5 checksum (8955d9a2845891fe5c8b646b3835cddf) when you click on one of the links.

It stresses me out a bit.
I want this ate6 update for the camera.
On the other topic of G988U and U1, he mentions that you have to flash with the version U1 ATE4 TMB first and then the ATE6 of U TMB
did you do that or did you go directly from g988wvls1atd3 to TMB ATE6U ??
with the HOME_CSC_OMC_OYN_G988UOYN1ATE6 without the userdata_tmb?
thank you

Finally, more fear than harm.
I did the update directly at TMB ATE6 with the Home CSC
without any loss of information and I am now with g988u summer with the last function of the camera.
It remains to do tests

you can unlock bl on 9880 so it can be flashed.. whether it works or not i dunno
You folks should know that running a U or U1 fw in Canada makes you miss out on some carrier related features because the U and U1 are for USA. So LTE bands might be missing, WiFi calling, spam detection, Volte, etc...some or all of those features will be missing.

Question CAN F936U FLASH F936U1 Firmware?

hello,I want to F936U flash F936u1 Firmware,how can I do?
I'm absolutely sure that you can do that.
I have tried it yesterday and successfully changed the model.
But, you can't flash it via ordinary Odin. You have use a patched Odin which can be found in XDA and flash the u1 firmware in it.

我绝对确定你可以做到这一点。
我昨天试了一下,成功换了型号。
但是,你不能通过普通的 Odin 来刷机。您使用了一个可以在 XDA 中找到的修补过的 Odin,并在其中刷新 u1 固件。

Ok I just flashed from U1 to a W ROM, specifically F936U1UES1AVJ1 (Android 12, XAA) to F936WVLU1BVK3 (13, XAC), and it all seems like it works fine. I'll update if I run into anything in the next few days.
Just a note that although it doesn't matter, it was originally a SM-F936U (updated to U1 then W)

Hey shorty I bought it used with U firmware and just to be safe to make sure it's stock and the fact U (and W) versions didn't get much updates, I flashed with the U1. Android 13 was released first for unbranded Canada XAC and since I'm actually using on Canadian networks, might as well. So far ok. No issues to report.

Hey I'm not too sure if you mean this, but yes mine is factory unlocked (actually a dev/demo device). And yes on Canadian network. You can always flash with the newest ATT ROM if yours is from ATT but hasn't gotten updates. Just make sure it indeed is the right model.

I did not keep user data so not sure if you can or should. But I think if you're switching model/CSC, the general consensus is to do a clean flash. If you just want to enable Canadian bands that are disabled on a US device, you can search up a way to do so I think using engineering mode.

If you're on any of the U or U1 firmware, I think you can safely flash to any other U/U1 without any issues. I usually cross reference with samfw and Frija too. Have a wonderful day too friend.
Would this enable Sim for phones without it? The SM-F9360 does not have esim support, could be software, I hope.
Can i go from U to W and then root? Or not possible?
Can I go from ATT and flash TMO variant if the model number is the same? SM-F936U? The phone is unlocked FYI. [email protected]
