Setting to get rid of base/increase highs for hands free speaker calls? - LG G8 Questions & Answers

I was at T Mobile checking out the LG G8 Thinq. I was really impressed with it. It is a super cool phone and I think it is way better than the Samsung S10e I was thinking about getting.
The only thing that is bothering me is the call speaker quality. When I use the phone, I always use the speaker.... I never hold the phone to my ear. But the speaker is a bit muffled, I would prefer highs and clarity on the voice. I saw a setting for clarity voice but it was already enabled.
Is there any other setting where I can get rid of the bass and have more clarity on the voice for the hands free speaker?

I haven't tried this, you may be able to adjust the equalizer during a call. It's under Settings > sound > sound quality and effects > equalizer.
The right side is bass, ascending to treble on the right. It sounds like you want to pull down the bass sliders.

[Q] Moto Defy with Loud Volume Hack

Hi Did anyone try the Moto Defy with Louder Volume Hack ? If yes, was there any difference?
it doesnt work on any Motorola devices
Did you find a Louder Volume solution for your Motorola Defy?
For me the other people are always a bit quiet in phone calls. I either have to ask them to speak up, or switch to speaker phone and blast everyone nearby with my conversation

Really? I had the voice call volume all the way up yesterday and it almost blew my ear off. In fact, it was so loud I thought I had the speaker phone engaged for a second.
Hi guys,
Thanks for answering. defy is actually a very good phone in terms of speaker / loudspeaker's amplitude, but always felt the absence of an equalizer (The media settings did not help much) - The Louder Volume Hack promised to do a good job of improving the bass frequencies without putting strain on the processor and hence the battery.
I used the app, but to say the truth I did not feel much difference. Also the app did not make much sense to me. Regarding the bluetooth sound, i felt a slight improvement after using the Louder Volume hack app.

+1 Even I thought that the speaker phone was on but found it off! Interestingly, I couldn't hear much when I moved the phone away from my ears!

In my t-mobile UK defy I have some equaliser settings in "Settings, Call Settings, Voice Quality" menu. See if you have that option?
i did adjust the voice quality setting to the one that says "seems louder" but it didn't make a noticeable difference, I still strugle to hear. Dunno if the european motoblur firmware is the issue? Or if phone carrier effects this? I will have to look into that volume hack.

[Q] [Acro S] Speakerphone volume lacking

Hello,
I do not use the phone feature very often, but recently I had to take some calls while driving and could hardly understand what the other person is saying, because the speaker phone volume is really low.
Now, of course I set the volume to max and checked every setting I could find related to phone calls. I even went into the service menu and did the speaker tests. There I realized that the speaker phone is using a different speaker as the one that is used to play back music or other sounds. The same sound sample is used in the tests and it is much softer in the speaker phone test compared to the mono or stereo speaker tests.
Is there any hack, setting or configuration file change I can do to use the mono or stereo speaker for the speaker phone feature?
Please help, this is the only gripe with this fine phone I have.
Same problem here.
Solutions, anyone?

[Q] Speaker sound is quiet and very distorted, what can I do?

The phone has never been near water. The speaker has always sounded bad, but the lollipop made it a little bit worse. Makes it hard to hear it ringing when I'm in another room or in a noisy enviroment plus it sound terrible

You can try the following
If you prefer Sony's Stock Audio Settings, try fiddling with the Equalizer and Enabling Dynamic Normalizer which kind of makes the sound Louder, also go to Settings>Developer Options and Uncheck "Use NUPlayer".
or
If you prefer a third-party App you can always try using Viper4Android or ports of other sound mods like DSP Manager and stuff like those
Hope this helps! ~

Low in call volume

Is anyone else upset about the low volume while on a call. Is there anyway to change it? Or modify etc/path.XML. just need a little boost not much. Already using viper and dual audio speaker mod so those don't seem to help at all as they don't control the ear piece. I'm rooted on latest pure nexus.
I actually sometimes put in-call volume too high and it hurts my ear unless I hold the phone away an inch or two because it's too loud.
I have WiFi calling turned on, and voice privacy off.
NO issue at all! It's call quality is great! Crystal clear and loud sound!
Perhaps the dual speaker mod affected call volume in some way? I don't have that mod but do have V4A. No issues with call volume.
Hmm, probably the ROM. Cause this phone has the best call quality I have ever experienced, and too loud, and look where I live! Including them old Nokias and Motorolas and BlackBerries.

How can I disable microphone noise reduction?

Hello all.
With other, older cellphone models, I used to have the leisure habit of recording audio (messages or files) to save/send live songs recordings. Granted, the quality was never impeccable, but at least I could hear the bass notes (or their distortion whenever the sound source was near enough).
Now, whatever method of noise reduction (NR) the Moto G5S employs is ruining this experience. Hearing the bass is crucial for samba and capoeira. The NR kicks in after 2 or 3 seconds from the beginning of the recording. Does anyone know of a way to disable it?
