[Q] Speaker sound is quiet and very distorted, what can I do? - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The phone has never been near water. The speaker has always sounded bad, but the lollipop made it a little bit worse. Makes it hard to hear it ringing when I'm in another room or in a noisy enviroment plus it sound terrible

You can try the following
If you prefer Sony's Stock Audio Settings, try fiddling with the Equalizer and Enabling Dynamic Normalizer which kind of makes the sound Louder, also go to Settings>Developer Options and Uncheck "Use NUPlayer".
or
If you prefer a third-party App you can always try using Viper4Android or ports of other sound mods like DSP Manager and stuff like those
Hope this helps! ~

[Q] Moto Defy with Loud Volume Hack

Hi Did anyone try the Moto Defy with Louder Volume Hack ? If yes, was there any difference?
it doesnt work on any Motorola devices
Did you find a Louder Volume solution for your Motorola Defy?
For me the other people are always a bit quiet in phone calls. I either have to ask them to speak up, or switch to speaker phone and blast everyone nearby with my conversation

Really? I had the voice call volume all the way up yesterday and it almost blew my ear off. In fact, it was so loud I thought I had the speaker phone engaged for a second.
Hi guys,
Thanks for answering. defy is actually a very good phone in terms of speaker / loudspeaker's amplitude, but always felt the absence of an equalizer (The media settings did not help much) - The Louder Volume Hack promised to do a good job of improving the bass frequencies without putting strain on the processor and hence the battery.
I used the app, but to say the truth I did not feel much difference. Also the app did not make much sense to me. Regarding the bluetooth sound, i felt a slight improvement after using the Louder Volume hack app.

+1 Even I thought that the speaker phone was on but found it off! Interestingly, I couldn't hear much when I moved the phone away from my ears!

In my t-mobile UK defy I have some equaliser settings in "Settings, Call Settings, Voice Quality" menu. See if you have that option?
i did adjust the voice quality setting to the one that says "seems louder" but it didn't make a noticeable difference, I still strugle to hear. Dunno if the european motoblur firmware is the issue? Or if phone carrier effects this? I will have to look into that volume hack.

[Q] volume

is there a way too make volume louder on sense roms like hd roms i am partially deaf and only hd roms volume are good for me but i want to try and use regular roms
If your looking to make music louder you could try power amp. As for sounds in general I believe the only mod that does that kind of thing only works if you have a headset plugged in (though I could be wrong). However, any louder could cause the speaker to blow and that would be a headache since who knows how sprint would handle that...
There's an app in the market called Equalizer. It changes all sound coming out of your phone, through the speaker or headphones. I would mess around with it & see if you can get it to sound any better. Don't make it too loud as the speaker may blow, or enable too many options as the sound will start to stutter & skip. Another alternative to this is DSPManager. It's a lot easier to navigate but has less options. You can find it here on the forums.
you have DSP manager and LVH (louder volume hack)

no clear sound when listening to music. Viper4android is no use

I have the problem that, when I hear music, I can not get a clear sound with Viper4android (option clarity). it bothers each other. the music sounds like a bad recording slightly loudly quiet. it's difficult to explain. I do not use a dac. I deleted the music equalizer from LG. on my z2, the sound of Viper4android sounds the way it should sound. does anyone have any idea what else I can do to make it clean and tidy with Viper4android? have tried the modules of magisk. I'm a bit baffled. actually the G7 should be much better from the sound than my SonyZ2 where Viper4android runs clean

Sounds not loud enough

Hello guys, i love my mi max 3 (global) however ever since i switched to this phone i was missing notifications like fb messenger or others simply because i couldnt hear them. This phone is capable to do loud sounds (eg YT video ) but even on max volume the notification sounds are nowhere near the media sound.... And iam using exactly the same .mp3s for notifications aswell as ringtone which i used on my previous phone equiped with only a single bottom speaker.
Dont get me wrong.. they are loud but not very loud for me to hear them at busy places
I would like to know ur thoughts and ideas
Peace
weird, I'm on xiaomi eu and I think they are to loud. Of course I haven't gotten many notifications that mouch so I dunno for sure.
The phone is very loud compared to my old Xperia Z1.
You could install viper4android and amplify the sound level..

The only thing bothering me that i know when i play a song it can get very loud but when i have max volume on ringtone/notification its nowhere near it.
Maybe we will see it change a bit at MIUI 10 which could also fix the lag on full screen gestures...
I will look into viper but as far as i know it requires root ..

Setting to get rid of base/increase highs for hands free speaker calls?

I was at T Mobile checking out the LG G8 Thinq. I was really impressed with it. It is a super cool phone and I think it is way better than the Samsung S10e I was thinking about getting.
The only thing that is bothering me is the call speaker quality. When I use the phone, I always use the speaker.... I never hold the phone to my ear. But the speaker is a bit muffled, I would prefer highs and clarity on the voice. I saw a setting for clarity voice but it was already enabled.
Is there any other setting where I can get rid of the bass and have more clarity on the voice for the hands free speaker?
I haven't tried this, you may be able to adjust the equalizer during a call. It's under Settings > sound > sound quality and effects > equalizer.
The right side is bass, ascending to treble on the right. It sounds like you want to pull down the bass sliders.
