Change the CSC on a .MD5 file - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hey Guys,
The title is pretty self-explanatory, I purchased a Galaxy Watch active from a Hong Kong seller not realising it would stop me from using Samsung Pay. As it is a new model I've only found one copy of the Firmware .MD5 files and the CSC is not the Australian one (which is the country that I live in). Is it possible to change the CSC code and thus the region of the .MD5 file so I can Flash my watch and get it onto the right region and unlock Samsung Pay?
I apologise if this is a stupid or naive question this is all brand new to me and I'm still trying to keep up.

Hey i found this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...r805f-csc-change-howto-esim-rsp-v2-x-t3848292
It should technically work. Let me know if it does please as i have ordered a galaxy watch import as well (HK to Australia) and only just found this out.
EDIT: Also look at this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546689 it should provide the right code for the Australian firmware

Hey, sorry for the delay in reply I was able to simply push the change of the region following this tutorial: https://l.messenger.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fsmartwatch%2Fgear-sport%2Fchanging-region-samsung-gear-sport-r600-t3771324&h=AT3gL1EJTD_LzPupE_pcei82eesT1O0MKpVQZGSgoTro4ovlL9xync975ADDZ67vB2UNTW7C_4dmZ5WRKU3anMSWN8dssfrihNs8SZH3LfhrIVqv-wn2MKbt5fW4K_jCN3hLiObSfgARdyN3SlnrVw no need to fuss about finding the right software or even cracking into the watch it was dead easy and wireless.
Hope this helps!

I've tried the region reset on my SM-R500, but I can't find the Irish (or UK) network providers in the list when doing the reset. I've got a watch that was set to UAE, so I'm guessing that specific firmware doesn't come with Irish regional settings? Any workaround to this? Is it possible to flash a suitable firmware and if so, where would I find the correct firmware?

Samsung Pay on Note10+ (International device) from Ebay

So there's discussion that if we purchase an International Note 10 or Note 10+ from ebay, we may not be able to use Samsung Pay in the United States. The reason being, the Note will be preloaded with Pay App that's from that region. Had anyone been able to uninstall the pre-installed app and reload the app via apkmirror to get Samsung Pay to work in the US?
Saw a post on the s8 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/how-add-samsung-pay-to-sm-g950fd-dual-t3600699) which talked about this exact problem. Not sure if it's the same here and if anyone got to work around the region problem. Not talking about U firmware.

If you read that thread, this was not the case. He was able to use it by installing the framework and app for the USA version.
On my own Korean Note 10+ 5g I tried installing the USA apk but it still keeps saying it can't connect to server.
Check if your csc is from a country that Samsung Pay supports, in the same thread someone post the steps for change the csc. Maybe that can make yours work.

My phone is from Taiwan (BRI) and my previous phone was from Hong Kong (TGY) and Samsung Pay worked fine for both in Canada, right out of the box. I did not change the CSC, etc.
Yeah I don't think that has anything to do with it, given that s8 thread. The OP in that one said he had to sideload the framework and app for USA to work, but I don't see how we could do that since the framework doesn't let me uninstall. As mentioned I tried side loading the USA version of the app from apk mirror but it still failed to connect to server and now tells me I need to use a Korean SIM card to use Samsung Pay.
On my note 8 all the rewards are in Chinese, but it works fine for actually paying for things

I have and international version Note10+, buy it from samsung miami, but the firmware installed from factory in the phone was from Panama, Every time I try to launch samsung pay with a US sim card it stucked on the connecting screen. I tried to uninstall and install the usa version, but the youy cant uninstall the framework without root. I change the firmware for one coming from the country that support Samsung Pay and changed the CSC by doing it. Now Samsung Pay works and use to pay at stores.

Which model do you have and which country's firmware/CSC did you change it to, to get Samsung Pay to work? This information will save many people from the agony of hunting down functional firmwares for Samsung Pay.

Sure, I have the SM-N975F model and I use the firmaware N975FXXU1ASHE from Spain, the CSC is PHE also read that the Italy CSC works.
Hey guys I gave a try to the software Samkey, they have an option to change your csc in a multicsc firmware. For example, I wanted the PCT csc code because is from Puerto Rico(my country) and I knew that Samsung Pay worked with it, so I flashed the firmware N975FXXU1ASH5 with multi-csc OWA N975FOWA1ASH5 because one of the csc is the one I wanted. The default csc in this firmware is CHL from chile(Samsung Pay dont support this country), next I buy 3 credits for Samkey on ebay for $6 and use the option to change the CSC and it worked. Do not needed to factory reset or delete any data. Also the phone do a OTA update and still have the PCT csc code. Hope this help someone.

The seller was https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/254275758975
The software is in http://www.samkey.org/download.html

In case that your actual country of residence is different from the CSC you are using, have you tried adding your bank's debit card to Samsung Pay?
My CSC is Hong Kong and I can add Canadian credit cards but not debit cards. I was interested to know if this is the case across the board.
Is anyone else here still able to use MST payments while using a variant not meant for their home country?
For the past month or two, my SM-N9750 (Hong Kong) will not work with MST here in Canada. Prior to that, I would use MST every week, especially with my SM-G9650 (S9+, Hong Kong).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Samsung Pay works out of the box for both my dual sim Note 10+ and S10+. Both are from the UAE (XSG). Im using it with a USA card. However, there will be no USA points & promotions. , which are showing UAE promotions.

I might have the current Australian csc rom with me and hopefully could share it with you but before that....
How do you plan to change it to Australia without changing the csc of watch via combination firmware which, apparently is not available as of now for the 825F model.

Man I know the paid site all have the wrong combination files. They are cheating and misleading the people that too after taking money. I know what must have happened you flashed a 825U firmware which was listed under 825F section in that website.
Good for you were in warranty. Rest the firmware i had was the same OLB available on that website. So no use.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 SM-R820 Region Change Files

Hi guys,
First post, so please let me off if I haven't followed protocol properly. I have been looking at all the other threads and posts and I have come to the conclusion that this is possible, but I need some guidance:
Bought the watch second hand. Samsung Pay isn't available. Samsung Tech help believe the watch isn't from the UK. I also believe this to be true, as when it is reset, the first language to appear is German, before it syncs with the phone and changes to English.
So I would like to change the region from Germany to England to get Samsung Pay enabled.
I have downloaded NetOdin3
I am capable of connecting to the watch in boot mode through wireless.
I have downloaded the combination firmware and stock firmware from https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm.../samsung-galaxy-watch-mactive-2-gwa2-t3968437 where adfree posted the links.
This is where I am stuck. I am unsure if these are the right files for the UK, because that thread was to change it from Germany to "ser"
From what I've read I need to change some text in the combination firmware, but how do I do this, in NetOdin3? or some other program.
Secondly what do I need to change it from and to? I understand its to get the region from Germany to UK, but what is the region code for the UK?
I appreciate I am a total beginner and have probably just asked some real basic questions, however after reading the thread about the guy who flashed his 820 with 830 firmware and bricked it, I'm a little more worried about getting something wrong.
Cheers in advance
You have to change from DBT to BTU..BTU is UK CSC.
Best regards

OK, thanks.
So do I need to edit the files that @adfree linked in SDP?
or are those files ready to go and do I need to edit some files off the watch somehow?

Question A52s - change CSC by factory reseting with a SIM?

Hi all,
I purchased an A52s 5G (SM-A528B/DS, snapdragon version) last week. I never had a Samsung before so I’m learning now about CSC and such.
I noticed that I don’t have the call recording function even though my country should support it (ILO). As it turns out the device has XSG CSC (I guess it’s a non-official parallel import).
I gathered information around the forums and I’m trying to understand if I can change the CSC by factory reseting and doing the device setup while my ILO SIM card is installed.
Apologies if my questions are stupid and the answer is obvious, but I couldn’t piece it together.
I’m trying to avoid tripping Knox to retain my warranty.
I read somewhere that ILO and XSG are part of the same multi-CSC group (OJM) and that it should work?
I read somewhere else that it no longer works on One UI 3.1/Android 11 versions?
I read somewhere else again that samkey may be a viable solution?
So should I try just by factory resetting the phone? Or try samkey? Or?
Is there any way to change CSC on the fly and avoid having to factory reset the device?
Thanks so much in advance,
Tal
I used to require a SIM to change the CSC but was able to do without it this time.
Doesn't trip Knox. There's a list of countries that details which have call recording built in.

To anyone who might encounter this in the future, My phone was bought trough GoMobile a parallel importer in Israel who didn't have call recordings available although the official one had.
I used SAMKEY in order to change the CSC into "ILO" the Israeli CSC and it worked getting me back the recordings and even had gotten OTA's after it.
I bought an A52s 5G on Amazon UK, and the model that arrived was a Romanian one. I find two things very odd: there is nothing outside the box to indicate that the device is not a UK one (product code would suffice), and when opening the box (which was untampered, as expected) it had a UK plug charger, adding to the fact that the device was destined for the UK market. The back of the device shows a sign for compliance with UK CA standards, and booting it first time, it greeted me in English. However, soon after I figured out the shortcomings and I found that CSC is set to ROM. Factory resetting the phone with a UK sim didn't make much difference however this time the phone greeted me in Romanian. While I've resolved the issue with.. the usual method, I find it dodgy and either the seller went to great lengths to hide the originating country or Samsung is creating these devices targetting Romania but actually making them look British, for.. reasons? Both possibilities are weird.

did you succeed? do you have call recording?
For some reason I've never been able to buy a Samsung that used a single sku CSC.
Even with ICCID locked devices they always shipped with the multi-csc/multi-csc2, so I've always been able to use a SIM Card to change out carriers unless the EFS/CSC partitions blocked it partially.
And even in those couple cases, I've always been able to cross-flash carrier firmware for that device to switch networks when need be.
This method even allowed me to use my AT&T locked Galaxy Note5 with T-Mobile Firmware. The only bug was the AT&T Modem's lack of hardware support for all of the TMO network bands.
Other than that. I even bested the Geek Squad at Best Buy...
This method worked on my A32x 5G.

Samsung note 10+ SM-N976B flash to Hong Kong ROM?

Hi all,
I've tried to search but no luck specifically to my region
I bought a SM-N976B from a friend and i couldn't use Samsung pay.
I brought it to the Samsung store and they said i have a different region.
I ended up searching if it is possible to change the region by flashing, I've got mixed results and I downloaded Frija and couldn't search the firmware i want to use...
I'm currently using this model SM-N976B and would like to change the firmware region to HONG KONG so that i could use the "Samsung pay x Octopus".
Could anyone please help me point me in the right direction?
Kind regards
Mike

There is no Hong Kong firmware for your device, if there is no Hong Kong firmware to flash, you can't change the region to Hong Kong.
If you can find a Hong Kong firmware for another model number of Note 10+ 5G that has the same hardware specs as your model number, you might be able to flash that firmware on your device or at least parts of that firmware, such as the modem.img and the system.img. This isn't guaranteed to work, it could brick the device if the bootloader or modem from the other device doesn't get along with your device.
