Thee Best Screen Protector!!! - Samsung Galaxy S10e Accessories

Hey guys! Just thought I'd share my experience trying to hunt down the best screen protector for my Galaxy S10e.
After trying about 4 different glass protectors all with pinch hole camera cut outs and being dis satisfied with the look and feel of the edges I decided to try one that came with a solid glass that covered the front entirely. It also had a super thin black boarder that I wasn't entirely convinced I was going to like.
Turns out it is AMAZING!! Phone looks literally as if there is nothing on. Edges are completely smooth so no more scratchy feeling whenever I slide my finger to use the edge display or gesture navigations.
Totally felt I had to share this! You can search for it on Amazon! :highfive:

Which Screen Protector ?

... i got MANY!
no one fitted exactly ... to long, to small and so on.
anyone knows a screen protector -without the hole for sensor!- which fits damn exact the captivate screen ?
thanks in advance

just got this REALOOK. I love it. It's hard to tell it's even there. Before the REALOOK I had this Skinomi and I hated it.
The Skinomi has a cutout over the proximity sensor. It is rubbery feeling with a slight oranqe peel texture and my finger wanted to stick to it when swyping. The Skinomi also gave a kind of rainbow effect from oils/finger prints. The REALOOK shows very little rainbowing, is more rigid (which made installation much easier since it wasn't flopping around), super smooth and my finger glides across the surface.
Realook

I just applied a Realook protector on my phone and think it's great! You look at the screen and can't even really tell it's there.
I had a Zagg shield before that and hated it. My fingers dragged along it, and looking at the screen, all I noticed was the "orange peel" effect.

Steinheil Ultra Crystal * screen protector review*

Hi all since i have received my screen protector and installed it today i thought i would leave a small review on it so people could make there minds up on what they wanted.
Whats in the pack:
*who screen steinheil ultra crystal screen protectors.
*one cloth
*one plastic spatula for bubbles
*one sticker pack to remove dust
Application:
The application of the protector was very easy, no sprays needed just the usual back and front sticker.
fit and finish:
The fit is very good with just a hole for the speaker and home button everything else was covered.
as for the finish it is really good from normal viewing distance but if you look very close you can see small imperfections. ( these imperfections are to small for me to actually complain about but i mention it because everyone is different )
The material it self is very good, and does seem to do what the box said it does, it is very clear and there is no orange peel effect or rainbow.
Once on you can not notice it at all.
well ive taken some shots so that you all can see, viewing angles, smudging , macro shots of imperfections and also color representation.
Enjoy and hope this helps

Nope I have the Ultra Olephobic one not glossy at all. One thing for sure though someone needs to tell them to place their numbers correctly.
They have back written on 1 (back side down) and front marked as 2 (front side up)
I don't know if that makes sense basically if you follow the numbers you are going to stick it the other way around. Which is what I did....
wasted a completely good screen *rant over*
Other then that quiet happy with it.
^
That's what I did as well haha
I found that the Ultra Crystal picks up fingerprints so easily, and its hard to move your finger across the screen smoothly after a while.

Oh wow! yeah. because it's glossy and glossy screen protectors don't do well with swiping gesture. I may as well tell that matte screen protector is better at swiping but worse for the amoled screen.

Just read your review, i think they updated the pack because it has a front and back sticker.
Also i think we need to give the screen protectors some slack, they will never be as good as the screen because they don't have the reasurch and development budgets.
I have not got any white parts but its only second day, also you get two so if one is damaged just use the next.
As for fingers sticking, its ok if you keep cleaning the screen and lets be honest we all wipe the screen everyday so our baby look nice.
But it is not as smooth as the glass no, bringing me back to my point its just plastic and will never be as god as the glass it covers.
Touch sensitivity is the same for me.

Yeah mine looks exactly like yours! With those words Front and Back and those numbers! Still they are really confusing as different SP makers use different notations for referring to the adhesive side.
Anyway I'm happy with how transparent it is but the fingerprints make my phone look ugly! I clean it every day.
Yeah and the touch sensitivity is really awesome.
But I doubt I'd go with this SP the next time...

I received one of these with my SGP Neo Hybrid case, and I am using it right now. But I have a question, doesn't it covering the whole screen including the front camera bother you?I actually tried cutting mine so that the camera and proximity sensor is not covered (could could not do a perfect job, but that is not relevant).
I had ordered a SGP ultra clear before this which looked better, and had the correct holes for front camera etc. But the Ultra Clear is supposedly thinner and got a scratch, so I had to switch to the Crystal once my case arrived.
^^No it doesn't bother me. I am having no problems with sensors or front camera. Pictures are as clear as without protector and sensors are working as they should.
thanks for review, I have to choose between crystal and olephobic
Thanks for that i think ill go for the olephobic friom reading a few reviews it appears to be the best one available.
Thanks for the review. I have ordered a Neo hybrid case so I will be getting one of these with it.
Why didnt they include the camera lens protector anymore for the SGS2 on the ultra oleo?
I like it great product

Personal i never use my front facing camera, as for the sensor it is working normal.
However i guess you need all the clarity possible for video chat so a hole would be preferable in that case.

already got thanks nice review
I only got one of these and it came with no instructions. Just the "FRONT" and "BACK" stickers. Problem is, FRONT says "1" and BACK says "2", but I would have thought if BACK was the one you wanted to remove first, but why does it say 2.. So, which side is the side that you stick down on the screen??
Since I only got one of these I don't want to take a gamble.
Hi, i ordered one of these , aint arrived yet but coming from korea im in UK, thanks for the review, ya 2 for stocky side to phone, does seem odd but lucky i have looked here may have mistaken that
anyone compared this to any other protector ? i want something that aint gonna lose much cause we know how good the screen on this is and would be shame to hide it

Screen protector / screen film recommendations?

I was wondering if there are any go to screen proctectors? Any to avoid, like do any cause issues with the touch screen?
Sent from my Galaxy Tab!
I'd avoid the hard plastic static-type. They're difficult to put on without dust. I've been using the ones from clearprotector (.com). 50% off and free ship with the code iwantultra (have it memorized cause I've gotten several). The corners and edges are kind of a ***** to get on, but they work well and come with a lifetime warranty (or so they say...). This is a wet-application so don't use them unless you're willing to take the time to watch the youtube videos to learn how to install, and then takes about 20 minutes to install.
I get mine from www.bestskinsever.com. I've had no problems with them. The screen protector is easy to apply and very durable.
I have Ghost Armor on mine and like it, it is a bit smoother than Zagg or Bestskinsever.
Be warned if you want the full body protection, adding this to the back of my tab caused me to have the newton ring problem. I never had the problem with just the screen protector on, I should I have just stuck with the screen and not the entire thing but I really wanted the matte back on my tab.
Thanks fellas. I have and used to do/use the wet application ones for a while. Then I got tired of them and just went with the cling ones. I think I'll get the wet app and it should last a longgg time. Especially since Im not going to be using the tab every day.
I went with Clarivue on the recommendation of a friend.
It's decent enough, no tackiness or anything like that but it's not the best fitting, could've been a couple of mm wider and taller.
Other than that, whilst I've had a long-standing dislike for them, recently I've found Zagg's InvisibleShield protectors to be pretty decent - they seem to be very well fitted and the tacky feel to them that I remember doesn't seem as noticeable.
Kinda wish I'd gone with them for my Tab
Which would you guys say offers the smoothest screen experiences of all? I don't care about longevity as I only use my tab about once every 2 weeks
Imo the smoothest would be the cling on ones.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab!
I purchased these in July from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058NXPLK
I was never a fan of the "wet" applications, to me it just seemed like too much work and I was never comfortable spraying any type of liquid all over my devices, regardless of how harmless they might be.
But anyway, this is a clear, non-matte protector that is the "static cling" kind of application. Once it goes on properly, you cannot see that is even there. The touch feeling is the same as if you had no protector on. I really feel that those matte ones, while they do reduce sun-glare, a lot of them provide a "tacky" feeling that maybe is fine for a smaller screen such as a phone, but can become very annoying for a larger screen if you do a lot of swiping across the larger surface area of a tablet. But that is a personal thing....I usually don't use my tablet outside in the bright sun anyway, so the matte types are useless for me.
I've had it on since the end of July and it's held up very well. You do have to wipe the smudges off the screen occasionally, but you'd have to do that anyway even with no protector. I'm extremely satisfied with these.
So I've got an Invisible Shield en route for my Tab, will post back when it arrives.
Same here haha.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab!
I just bought the glare-reduction screen protector from BodyGuardz. Has anyone else had any experience with them? I wanted something that would offer a decent amount of protection for the screen (fingerprint and physical pressure), but also not reduce the touch sensitivity at all. (I type with the tip of my nose since I can't use my fingers, and trying to press too hard hurts )
Not sure where you can get it, but here in Singapore there's a brand called DataFlex and their screen protectors seem really good.
I bought SGP steinheil shield ultra optics. I liked it.

So this newton ring issue is a major problem. What if I just protect the back and leave the screen open? I have the new logitech keyboard case on the way and the front is protected in the case, but the back is exposed. I planned on protecting the back only. But I wont do anything if it'll case the newton rings.

Yeah. Same here. Just want a more "grippy" back. How does one produce Newton Rings from the back of the device. Methunked it was a display issue resulting from the interaction of the protector and display glass...kinda by definition...

I blame the install of the rear skin because I had the screen skin installed first and then three weeks later I had the rear done. He turned the tab face down and installed the skin. When he turned it over, bam, Netwon Rings...
I never had them before the front screen protector, during the front screen protector install or after the front protector was on the Tab.
Will it happen to you? I have no idea but from what I have read about the problem it is caused because of the Tab moving/flexing which can be caused by excessive heat and certain handling of the Tab.
thanks!

I bought an anti-glare protector from Cellularbuy on eBay and managed to get it on in one go with no dust at all. The protector fits perfectly and the camera and light sensor holes line up spot on. The anti-glare makes the screen look a little grainy, but I hear that even the Steinhell ones that are many times more expensive have the same problem.
This has been gone over millions of times on each forum here, but here's how I did it:
-Wipe the screen down with a soft cloth and glasses cleaner or isopropyl to get any grease off
-Run the shower in a small bathroom on hot until the room is unbearably steamy
-Put on a hat to keep your hair and head funk from falling on the screen
-Line the protector up on the screen before removing the film and tape it on one side with a few pieces of Scotch tape
-Also make a "handle" out of tape to put on the top of the protector opposite the taped-down end. This will help with alignment
-Go into the bathroom and clean the screen with a good microfiber cloth. Also clean the front and back protective sheets on the film so there's no dust to come off when you start peeling them. The steam should be enough to wet it. Take one final look
-Peel the protector back and lay it down pulling the taped edge taut to keep it lined up
-Smooth any bubbles out with a credit card BEFORE peeling the top sheet off
IF you do have any dust, use a piece of tape on a corner to lift up the protector and another piece of tape to pick up the dust. If the room is steamy enough and you did a good job of wiping the screen this shouldn't happen.

Screen protector - useful?

So... screen protectors... are they actually any use?
Do they protect from scratches? Or do they just make your device harder to use because the screen loses sensitivity?
I'd be interested in people's opinions
I recommend using screen protectors because
- they prevent the glass from getting scratches. Sand scratches glass easily. Screen protector helps.
- they can reduce glare from screen. Glare is the reflection you see on the screen that makes it much harder to see what's on screen.
- they can be cleaned with lesser care... any slight wet cloth can clean screen
- they don't cause any loss of sensitivity
- you can start using the plastic nib for the spen as it lasts much longer than rubber nibs. And having a screen protector gives a much better experience with plastic tips for spen.
- they are damn cheap. Don't like them... no problem.. throw them

I went all out & picked up an Invisishield at BB. Yes, it was about $30.00 (-minus 20% for Rewards club event) but is was worth it in my mind & I will be doind the same with my Nexus 10. I really like the frogz type protectors, but the Invishield is really starting to grow on me as they are nearly impossible to damage. I have had it gouged to hell & in a warm environment after a few hours it always "heals itself". It is a bit tacky feeling (tacky sticky, not tacky cheap), so it is a bit hard or weird to get used to at first, but then you learn to touch lightly & all is well. Like stated above, the plastic S-Pen tip is MUCH better for use with screen savers, especially this type, but the device works just as well with the S-Pen without any loss of sensitivity.

I don't use a screen protector and frankly I don't see the need to.
The only advantage I see is the reduction in glare and even that depends on which screen protector you bought.
They DO cause a reduction in sensitivity, I have used a couple before on other devices (like my Note Phablet) and have thrown them all away.
A microfiber cloth cleans easily, and I use the plastic nib SPen HEAVILY and there are no scratches.
If you are paranoid though, then by all means. There are pretty cheap ones available
I always install a screen protector because it cuts down on finger prints. Last 3 have been Ghost Armour. They don't drag on your finger/S-Pen like the invisible shield or feel spongy. Also, clear like glass. And lifetime warranty.
All my gadgets have screen protectors. Better safe than sorry. Have protector on my note as well and no difference on using stylus at all. Smooth and write the same as without screen protector. I have anti glare kind and so easy to take care of finger prints as well. Overall I would highly recommend to get one.

There are about 1.000 similar questions in all mobile threads. So what do you think? Will a protective transparent cover protect your screen? What do you think? Please make an quess.
Sorry my friend for my reply but I tried to stop myself without any success.
Thank you for the intelligent replies to this thread.
It's good to see that lots of you find that they don't cause problems in using them; the last time I bought one I found that it did cause a loss of accuracy on the device I was using - but that was a few years ago and I am sure that the technology will have moved on.

Review for Carbon Fibre
Hi, I am getting a note 10.1 and want a carbon fibre blue ghost armour for it, would it affect the accuracy or will it scrape of what , thanks in advance!!!
The anti glare ones really degrade the screen vibrancy.
Sent using Tapatalk2 from my Note 10.1; the choice of Royalty
I recently applied the MinGuard Anti-Glare screen protector and my default stylus is acting strange. Don't know if it's the protector or the stylus. After installing the protector, I immediately changed to the white nib which glides better than the one.
But when clicking on buttons(not swiping) using the stylus, the tablet does not react sometimes. Takes several tries to successfully click on a button. It doesn't matter how hard I press, the angle in which I press, or how long I press. Now, when I use my finger to click on a button, it works as it should.
For instance, when I bring up the Task Manager and click with the stylus between Ram Manager and Active Appllications" the tablet does not react many times. Or even if I try to click the "X" to close the Task Manager, it takes many times to close. Or if I click the buttons in Snote to change my pen tip, it takes many times to bring it up. This issue doesn't occur all buttons.... I can click on the system buttons in the lower left no problem or app buttons.
Do you guys think the screen protector is the culprit? Or bad stylus? Thanks so much.
I THINK I found the issue. It was the magnets in my book cover. When I position the flap(which contains the magnets) out of the way, it works much better...but not perfect. so I think the protector takes away from stylus sensitivity a bit. Magnets effecting the stylus was discussed in this thread: S-Pen Inaccurate
I recieved this one yesterday that I got from Amazon:
amFilm (TM) Premium Screen Protector Film Clear (Invisible) for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-Inch) and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2-Pack) [in AM retail packing]
It took me both supplied protectors to really apply what I consider almost perfect. I believe there are like 2-3 really small dust particles near the camera but I didn't want to risk ruining my 2nd attempt. I applied it last night. No issues at all with my pen or screen. Mine has the white tip on. I decided on this particular product because it's clear and had great reviews. Glad I chose this one and better safe than sorry for my screen, but to each their own.

There really is no point in using a screen protector for this tablet. Just get a flip case, don't be stupid with your tablet, and bam, no scratches, ever.

Thee Best Screen Protector!!!

:highfive:

Sorry wasn't sure if I could share a link i just added it to the OP. Yes it is case friendly and I belive the black border covers a super small part of the screen that is a fraction of a millimeter. When using edge lighting all you need to do is increase the thickness a bit.
However it does not get in the way at all and from my experience it is way better than other screen protectors I have tried that have transparent as they reflect the light at angles. Also the borders look terrible during the day, you can clearly trace it with your eye. This one literally reflects no light and looks like if there is nothing on it at all (the black border provides this effect)
Furthermore, this one comes with a plastic frame that makes placement and alignment such a breeze!
Hope that helps!

Very easy install with alignment tool, nice squeegee tool got all the bubbles out. Looks excellent after install was complete. Will update in a few days to see how it look after a few days of use but so far so good. Was probably the easiest Tempered glass screen saver I have ever installed, very satisfied
Bought this exact screen protector because I wanted something inexpensive and without a cam cutout (I'd rather deal with an additional layer of glass on a front camera I anyway never use than with dust piling up in a tiny cutout). Well, I don't share OP's enthusiasm. A corner started to shatter appart after only a week, and I didn't even drop it or anything. It was in the same pocket as my lighter which might be the culprit but c'mon, if it can't handle a lighter and turns into a H8 shards dispenser that soon, how is it supposed to prevent scratches on the screen ?
Another corner got damaged after a 50cm (metric FTW) drop on wooden floor and I decided to get rid of it altogether.
It's cheap, it's easy to apply, it looks good (although the black border overlaps the screen by maybe half a millimeter), and it might last a bit longer for someone less careless than I am, still not a viable long term option according to me.

Sucks you had a bad experience with it. So I ended up reaching out to them after myself finding my screen protector had cracked and they sent me another one for free.
It probably isn't the strongest screen protector but it's cheap, easy to install, and looks great! It's TRUE the protectors with the hole punch are a haven for dust and just look hideous in general.
If you stumble across a better screen protector I'd love to hear about it! Perhaps I'll try it out next if this one tanks on me again
Cheers!

I should receive one from LK in a couple days, let's see how it holds. I cannot ask for a replacement, I'm french and they offer replacement only in america, but this time there's 3 in the package.
Does the amFilm protector black edge cover visible part of the screen like Nilkin does? Nilkin protector black sides cover also OLED visible screen (half mill on each side).

Yes it does. I have one installed now and it cuts off a sliver on each side
