Problem on A70's fingerprint sensor - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

This is my first time using smartphones with fingerprint sensor, especially on-screen sensor. Is it only me that the fingerprint sensor takes a long time to scan the fingerprint? Or there's someone else w/ the same problem?

It's been mentioned several times in this forum and reviews on the internet that the scanner isn't the fastest in the world.

That is a known issue, finger print is too slow

Come and see all issues I found in Nexus7, we'd better check if it's common !?
Recently I bought six Nexus7 for me and my pals.
All these tablets are inspected by me to make sure there is no bugs and bad pixels , and I found some issues randomly.
I am writing down these issues to discuss with you guys: is it commonly happened or accidental?
1,when charging with the cable, if your ear gets close to the back of nexus7, you can hear some currency noise?
2,knock the back slightly with your finger , then you may hear the sound like a loosened spring inside it , especially near the rear camera .
3,when launching the CAMERA and do the focusing, still there is noise from the rear camera , is it because there is some equipment working for focusing?
4, is it easy to get dust into the machine and the screen?!
IF you have similar issues, pls tell me !
thank u!

1. Might be a capacitor charging, it shouldn't be loud but it won't be a big deal
2. Only a 'hard' tap near the camera makes a sound, and it's just the sensor rattling. That's common on every device
3. No clue on this
4. If you have dust under the screen return it, it shouldn't happen at all
Cross posting to multiple forums is bad form.

I get the loose spring noise too
I get the doing noise on the back as well, I thought it was a loose screw or something. Now I know that's normal. I've never dropped my table either.
The noise while charging could be the Inductive charging coil (QI Wireless charging part), or a Capacitor, will check the Teardown pictures to find such capacitor...
I have spring sound too.. worst thing is that i have grounding problem with touch screen sometimes.
These are common things and not really issues, quit nit picking jerk wad, dam good tablet

issues
My only issue has been that touch screen non responsiveness when the tablet isn't being held, laying flat
Love my N7 though!! ???
I recognized some kind of colour gradients on the screen which is a little bit annoying. Is this a known issue?
Huh?

Agree huh? This is just stupid
I've had different issues in earlier updates to the device.
Two main gripes were screen not responding to touch for whatever reason and random device crashes. But it's been good for the most part.

Okay, i can understand you. Sorry if it seems i would search after problems, but i can insure i'm highly satisfied with my Nexus 7 Don't get me wrong. In my opinion it is the best tablet in the 7 inch sector. I didn't express myself clear enough. You can imagine the issue under the term ''banding'' . So sometimes the edges of gradients are visible. Especially when the screen shows a dark gray/blue surface you're able to differ every single colour. This appears in pictures, games etc. I found a similar topic concerning the old nexus 7:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111311
I know this trouble of my old smartphone which was only capable to show 65k colours, but it was software related and it appeared only in a small number of custom roms. One more time: I am really happy with this device, i was just wondering if this little issue could be solved easily by a fix. So excuse me for everything and sorry for my English
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Here is an example. I took a photo while playing ''robocop''...Perhaps you know what i mean, the borders of the shades of gray are visible, but i can live with it. It doesn't appear very often...
If someone knows the reason or experienced similar things...please let me know

z1c touchscreen issues?

Hello z1c owners.
Have you guys noticed weird behavior with the touch screen? Sometimes it doesn't pick up input or lags a lot. Especially when browsing the web, it'll flick up/down randomly.
I am wondering if this is normal due to IPS display because my iPhone acts the same way. Annoying.
I have noticed the same thing when pulling the notification draw down. It does this flickering effect then snaps the draw back to the top of the screen. Weird. I then have to pull the notification draw back down again. Anyone else notice this?

Exact same behavior on mine too. Super annoying. I got this phone since I felt it'd be more practical for one hand and so far it has been a poor experience.
I factory reset through pc companion hoping that it would fix this and zero success.

I noticed something similar esp on the unlock screen: I thought I drawed a solid line, but the panel apparently missed some connections randomly.
This effect was way worse on the AUO panel, the JDI one behaves OK.
Don't know how to find out which panel you have?
open a terminal emulation app (e.g. this one) and enter the following commands:
Code:
cd /sys/devices/mdss_dsi_panel
Code:
cat panel_id
the first three letters of the reply show the manufacturer

Does it mean, that auo display is worse than jdi?
I see that some places/people have posted comparison images of the brightness level of the different panels. For me it doesn't seem to be a huge deal. I haven't had my device over 50% brightness even in broad daylight. At night I crank it all the way down and still feel blinded. I'm a little concerned with the touch sensitivity but I guess I will adapt to it just like I did with the xperia ion.

I wouldn't dare making a general statement here, but for me it was.
The people on Xperiablog compared both panels a while ago...
I had the chance to do the same and I kept the JDI - others might come to a different result though.
Sensitivity was a minor issue for me, but the colors just didn't fit on the AUO - see attachment (the Xperia S on the right is by coincidence slightly out of focus, AUO panel is in the middle, JDI is left)

And? Do you have issue with touch?
Touch related problem is definitely there. And it is somewhat related to software.
I managed to improve it by manually closing down background services and cached processes.
But it is a shame to design it in a such way that it depends on processor load.
And what's the point of having quad-core device if it cannot even handle hardware monitoring tasks?
Is it really that difficult to make things properly?
Adding bloatware is the only thing they do proudly well... With no chance to shut such crap off in a legal way.
Definitely software issues with touch on sony firmwares. Pulling down the notification bar doesn't always register and rolling my thumb on the screen to lazily scroll a webpage registers as a zoom. Same on the tablet z.

You can't even see it in daylight, is this normal? It is much brighter in the pictures than it is in person. Thanks for reading any response is appreciated

Well if that is how it's supposed to be it's pathetic compared to the m7, surely it's not meant to be like this, with the m7 you could get the ceiling lit up when it's on. With this you can Bearly see it when you are holding it 30cm away in the dark

The LED is just very, very tiny. It is what it is. Personally I could care less, so it doesn't concern me.

Really good 2X telephoto zoom portrait lens for Google Pixel 2

I didnt expect much from this lens but it turns out it is really really good. You can use the Moment case with this lens and its much much better than the moment telephoto lens.

These big lenses cover flash/microphone? how does that work out? tele might not need flash, but what about wide?
I took a closer look and I know what you are talking about. When I take portrait photos, the face is clear and sharp, the background is blurred. But for panoramas, it's too much vignette and blur in the corners. Someone mentioned that on Amazon, that this lens doesn't work good with Pixel 2.

Yes, flash is covered.. You cannot use it.. also you loose the laser AF.. (It still focus but it is slower),anyway with ANY lens (Not only Moment) that would happen..

Yes my friend, with the Tele you get vignette and blur in the corners.. One solution (partial) is to zoom around 1,5x and you remove the worse part of the frame.. Also when using video, it doesnt look that bad because the phone zooms in to reduce the frame to enable stabilization...
PD: I was the one that gave the bad review at Amazon

I desagree, it is a display defect to see a horrible black box on my white screen. I didn't buy a lowcost phone...
I think many people would like to know that before to buy this phone
It's is visible on my s10 plus. But only in direct sunlight. In day to day use I don't see it. I personally don't see it as a defect. Yes it is a expensive phone, no they didn't warned for it, but it's the sacrifice of the technology you got with a super sonic fp scanner. Therefore I can accept it.

You should stop spouting misinformation, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
It's most definitely not a defect considering every single phone has the same thing going on. How do you expect the fp scanner could work? It's not using x-ray vision, that's for sure...

That's correct. Some media sites have shown photos of the display where the Fingerprint Scanners 'box' is visible in direct sunlight. It's not a defect and Sammy have corroborated it in their own support documents:

Figured that was the case after the fact. Sorry
Let me check tomorrow under hot sun and report back
