AOD APK from emui 9.1 (always on display) - Huawei Mate 20 X Questions & Answers

Hi
Is there a way for someone to extract the AOD APK from their emui 9.1 mate 20 x or another emui 9.1 phone ? I have an evr-l29 and am assuming we are not going to get emui 9.1 with everything currently going on with Huawei. I was really looking forward to the updated AOD, so was wondering if the community had any ideas on how to port the AOD from a 9.1 emui device to a evr-l29 9.0 device!
Honestly, the current AOD is my only gripe with this phone...well, that and the ridiculous beautification on the selfie cam.
Thanks for any help you can provide !

I have AL00 on emui 9.1 and aod NOT showing 3rd party apps notifications...

What is the difference between the new AOD and the old one? I have but I can not see the difference.

Same as last post above ?

All is set as that, for exapmle viber, but nothing comes

AOD is working perfect now on 9.1 on the chinese version

then I am stupid... Viber is coming for you? or telegram?
give me exact settings, please
I got telegram on AOD, you must select EVERY single contact desired for AOD

U gotta enable lockscreen notification.

Can anyone extract their AOD APK from their 9.1 emui?

APK mirror doesn't have it yet either.

If anyone tells me how to extract it I can do it.

I have been trying the app but hasn't worked for me either. Not really use it for anything before so I don't know if there's anything wrong in my settings.

https://i.imgur.com/CLI5VFb.jpg
It took a few hors and restarts to make it work.
I didn't do anything on the settings. Only selected the apps I want to show in lockscreen notifications and wait.
So far it doesn't work reliably because takes time since the notification happens until its shown on the screen with some apps.. Other apps like the camera or youtuve pop up right away.

Still nothing working on mine. I have the International 20X with this apk installed.

not working too

Place it somewhere and remember that location
Reboot to your recovey and flash it
Then enable it like default dialer in Default Apps menu
It's simple AF! Isn't it?
Credits which no one never reads

TWRP for stuff like recovery with which noobs can brick their devices by flashing this piece of **** presented here
Oh, and forgot - I really don't give any ****s about bricked stuff and penetrated, exploded anuses after flashing this. Also I don't care about stuff like "This thread is ugly, bla bla bla" - mate, just leave it ASAP if it hurts your eyes. Any trolls will be recognized like sonuvabitchez and will be kicked out ASAP. Great then, thx for feedback. Now I'm working on porting Google Camera with Nexus features like HDR+ etc, but it will be hard/nearly impossible. Need someone with Nexus 6P to give me needed camera libs and camera. Thx in advance.
Usually the Google dialler will have call connect vibrate, call waiting vibrate options, but these are missing in ur port.

So it's ROM-based function, and if it's present in the ROM - you have ability to enable this function, otherwise it will not work in Google Dialer, not in other Dialer apps. Sorry for that.
I really appreciate your work. I love Google dialer app, however google InCallUI is missing. Is it possible to make Google InCallUI work?

Strange, cause me I have Google's in-call instead of Sony's one. Did you set Google Dialer as main dialer app? If no, set it as default in settings > apps > default apps. Also give it all permission, if it asks for them. Waiting for feedback!

Er... Yes it does!
Long press, and then select the second app you want to split.
It might do something on your phone, but it doesn't on mine. If I long press it absolutely nothing happens.
I have tried to find a setting in the phone that might enable it but can't find anything.

You're wrong and your screenshots are not from an m9.
There is no split screen on htc unless you activate it manually in build.prop and even then you have no real control over it.

Er... I hate to say it but.. it's an m9 on stock EU ROM with nothing tinkered with. No root whatsoever.

Split screen work normally on stock nougat without any modifications...

as far as i know the app had to support the split screen
Split screen works on my M9, and always has since 7.0.
Currently running 7.1.2 but can confirm it works on stock 7.0 as well.
I have stock 7.0 and it's working well, you need to have Layout to Card view, then open an app(youtube for example) and long press recents button.
Works fine in my m9, just set the recent apps layout to cards and you shoul be able to(you can anable the option to force apps that dont support split screen to do it in the developer settings).

I assume you 'download' OTA?
Or is any location known from where a complete 'fastboot' set or 'recovery' update zip can be found?
Has someone a fullzip of the update?
I think Wileyfox can provide you such thing if you ask it on their official Facebook page.
For those of you who have downloaded the update, is it worth it? or would you like to roll back to cyanogen OS marshmallow? why? asking for a friend (AKA me ?)
Hey, I've accepted the OTA update. It runs - but it seems that battery is getting run down very quickly - battery monitor says the hungry application is "bluetooth" - even though I don't think bluetooth is on.

Did OTA update yesterday with another Swift. It got stuck in a bootloop. I contacted support. They were immediately helping. I tried installing the update again from SD, ADB... Now I'm waiting for their developers finding a solution. Btw: The Swift is stock all over.
Is there any "good" reason to install the OTA-Update instead of installing the LineageOS-14.1-nightly build?
Still haven't got it. I've requested it of Wileyfox on their Facebook page.

My friend's phone is still not unlocked and he wants to be sure data stays intact.
check https://we.tl/89tVbuSSyF (URL received from wileyfox)
The OTA update produced a bootloop. I had to do a complete wipe and now Nougat is running. The Wileyfox support was really fast and helpful!
First impressions:
I don't like the truecaller app instead of the good old telephone app. But you don't have to register and can use it to phone.
I haven't been able to remove the Google search bar.
My first impression is that cyanogen is more open and customizable.
I liked the Cyanogen OS because it felt like rooted...

If update is not CyanogenOS then what is it? LineageOS? AOSP? WileyfoxOS? ...
My Swift upgraded fine with the OTA from Wileyfox. However, since the update the battery life is terrible, much worse than before. As mentioned earlier Bluetooth is identified by Android as draining the battery. I mentioned this to Wileyfox tech support who advised to do a full factory reset but this made no difference.
Hi everyone!
I did the update on 7.1.1 OTA.
What bothers me most, is that there seems no way to disable the camera shutter sound.
The general volume settings does not help and in the camera app there is no such button (anymore?).
Anyone else having trouble with this?

I never had a camera shutter sound before the update, with Cyanogenmod on my Swift 1.
The shutter sound even affects other apps, that use the camera, such as PDF scanners.

I really thought they fixed the notifications not showing up in 8.9.20, however - Hangouts Chat, Allo Chat, probably others... do NOT show notifications of ANY kind. The screen will just light up if you have ambient notifications turned on , but nothing in the notifications bar, no sound, no vibration, NADA. You have to open your apps to see anything. I guess they only fixed MMS and GMAIL notifications not showing up on the lock screen and didn't care about anything else. "OK GOOGLE" is STILL not able to activate, and SIM CARD ACTIVATION STILL has to be manually muted because it never activates -nor needs to. Android AUTO does work with full screen now, however-when you play audio -even though it plays from the Stereo Head Unit, the phone internally thinks it's from the speaker instead of the USB-C device.
I realize this is 'Developer' Beta, however -we need the basics fixed before adding anything extra or fixing cosmetic issues. I'm beginning to think our phone will be obsoleted before we get a functioning ROM with the BASIC NECESSITIES for a PHONE.
any idea how to turn off the battery saver ?
thanks

Home screen is a bit laggy, ASUS keyboard is also glitching. Its picking the letter below the one being pressed if clicked anywhere other than top most border.
edit : compatibility issue with asus keyboard app. key press is a bit messed up. no issue with stock google keyboard. sony album app compatibility issue. unable to delete images. nothing happens after pressing delete. sony music is working nicely though.

They didn't add digital wellbeing as a system app, but you can install it using apk. Install Pixel Shortcut from play store to open the app
Edit: Wind Down feature does not work
