Will G3 get the latest Android L in the near future?

Hi All,
I'm an Nexus owner, considering whether is it worth to buy a G3 in recent days.
I'm wondering whether LG will push the latest Android version after it was released? I'm enjoying the Nexus devices just because we can get the newest Android, and got lots of stable, amazing ROM and Kernel mods. So would LG followed the Google's steps?
Bootloader is unlockable atb so for now there are no roms or kernels for g3.
I think we wont see android L on g3 before end of this year.
Verizon is horrible at releasing updates, the devs that brought us root and possible future bootloader unlock are doing a great job
Android L is releasing by the end if this year, HTC already confirmed it and google has always had a pattern if releasing at the end if the year anyway
We most likely won't see a android L preview port before it's out, but an AOSP rom with the next version of android will come
I cannot reveal my sources, but I have been told that LG are looking to move very quickly to release L when it has been officially released (I believe the other companies will also be doing the same).
The roll out time from release to being on non nexus devices will be the shortest we have ever seen.
I still do not know how quickly this would be, it could be anything up to three months from release, but I still expect it to be sooner than that.
I would take a guess and say we will get an official release for the G3 before January 2015, L won't be released by Google until November.
Are we sure our device will even get it?. Had a bad experience with updates when it comes to LG. LG Optimus 2X for example lol
The g2 got updated from jellybean to kit Kat. I think there's hope that the g3 will be updated from kit Kat to L
Sent from my LG G3
most likely we will get it by the end of Jan

They don't know anything about that, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen, different departments and all that.

There is a very reputable source in South Korea says that G3 isn't scheduled for Android L upgrade.
Instead, LG thinks on releasing a new phone with L around mid-summer 2015.

No Android Pie for Moto G5+ and rest of the G5 series. WIll you still trust Motorola?

Source: https://blog.motorola.com/2018/08/15/baked-android-pie-coming-motorola/
One of the few reasons i buy a Motorola was quick android updates. Motorola actually promised Android Oreo and Android P when it comes out for this phone. 1 year later still there is no specific date for Oreo update. While i unlocked the phone long ago and updated it to 8.1 via custom ROMS i still paid for software support which was included in the phones cost. . If possible we can start a petition on change.org ( Which will be useless as motorola anyway treats their customers as trash) Share your thoughts
Firstly, Motorola is out of its minds. They should first give an update to Oreo and then speak of Pie. Nokia and many other devices that launched long after last year's Moto G series are already running Oreo from months. Lenovo took Motorola from Google and turned it into ****.
Secondly, Motorola said that their devices would get only one major Android update, so I'm fine with it. But what's troubling is the amount of time they're taking for it. Having said this, finally I'd like to add that though Moto devices have suffered on the software side in Lenovo's hands, I didn't find any shortcomings even on nougat and didn't really feel like needing an update. My phone gets all the things done. The only thing that I miss is a 64 bit architecture that'd allow me to gain access to portrait mode on Google camera and make the device future proof, as Google will remove all the 32 bit apps from the play store soon. The only reason I still prefer to buy the Moto devices is the XDA community. But if Moto continues releasing 32 bit os on a 64 bit chipset, then I may as well go for Mi devices because they get excellent XDA support too.
Short Answer: No
Long Answer:
I only ever bought a Moto phone because it was cheap. While I usually don't care for the latest and the greatest in neither software or hardware (still rockin a IPod Touch 4th gen) How Moto is treating it's customers is awful.
I know all about planned obsolescence, but this seems like a new level. Purposely delaying a promised software patch for your flagship until after your new flagship comes out (that conveniently ships with the promised software from the last one, mind you) Then maybe focusing on bringing that software to the old phone. Waiting just long enough to make sure everyone buys the new one.
If you don't believe me, this will probably happen again with the G6/Plus/Z/Z Play. The Android P update will get delayed and delayed until, eventually, a new Android is released. And, surprise, along with it, a new flagship that you will inevitably force people to buy while promising the new software.
It's a circle, people.
Motorola might be a good company before lenovo bought it .. But now OMG ..now i think why in the f****ing hell i chose Lenovo's Motorola ...FFS ...Everything about it's Software side is so **** !!\
So i don't think it's even worth it .. they won't change!!
I have owned and used the Moto G2, G3, G4, and now the G5+. The same complaints have been posted in these forums with every device. Personally, I don't care about upgrades to new versions of Android. As long as my phone performs well, which it does and is reliable, which it is I am content. My G5+ does everything well that I want it to do and then some. So I have no complaints.
As far as what I buy in the future, I will make that decision when the time comes. And yes, I will consider Motorola's latest offerings.
Motorola told us last year the Moto G line will get 1 major OS update.
And Oreo is being tested so just be patient or flash a custom rom.
They never promised Android P for the phone, only Android Oreo
For those saying Lenovo kileed motorola, Google was going to kill Motorola and Lenovo saved it, so stop blaming them, Motorola was a dead company
I wanted a device that was reasonably priced, close to stock, good developer community. I think I got that. So potter's not getting Pie? It wasn't promised, so there's no issue of 'trust' there. Oreo? Well OK that's late as anything. I did know at the time I bought it that Motorola was now slow to update. I bought mine around September last year, and was surprised when it auto-updated to I think the August patch. Since then, software updates have been patchy (pun intended).
Another consideration is in NZ, there's only a handful of open network phones available. Motorola, Oppo, Huawei, and you might find a few others if you're willing to go to parallel import shops etc. So with that in mind, it kinda makes the choice obvious for me. Nokia? In NZ they're network-specific, and on a network that I don't use. So yeah, I'll stick with Motorola. G6 Plus is available for us, which is a good thing. Although, I'll hang onto this for a couple of years, so I'd likely skip the Gen 6 motos.

Will Mi Max 3 be getting Android Q?

So now that the Mi Max 4 is not coming right now, I have no plans to upgrade for a while.
The question is, will the MM3 get the new Android Q or will it be left up to the custom ROM guys to do it?
Probably ,but knowing miui that will be for the year and half from now, because they are just slow with updates . Companies should provide us with regular updates.
If not even for devices sold this year is expected to update, imagine for older devices of a discontinued line.
I think it's improbable to have official updates.

This is how I was thinking when I posted.. let's hope it's custom development is supported onto that platform.

September update?

Has the software update support stopped for oneplus 5t?
I doubt there will be a release until Q at this point. That's what devs are saying at least. The phone is 2 years old so now it's losing support.
they said we will get Android 10 but you might need to wait a little longer than before because the new device has come and they will provide the latest security patch to new devices first and then to older devices like our model.
U will get android 10 update in the next year... 2nd quarter starting

Android 10 for LG G7 Fit

When to upgrade to Android 10?
Waiting for an unofficial update from XDA.
Will not come out ...
Especially if you have the European version, because then you can not even root your phone. So the update to Android 10 will not come out, because Lg takes too long to bring out the update
Won't come out? Probably there will never be Android 10.
...
Dreams ???
I can not say that there is no update at all, but as Lg is, the phone becomes "outdated"... Nevertheless, I hope that an update for android 10 is still released (but then only in 1-2 years) .
Honestly. I don't think that the Android 10 update ever came about. Next year, maybe two, will be Android 9. But that's not what I mean.
