Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

i tried to follow all the steps. everything went right. i was successfully able to flash RR zip
the only problem i faced is for booting up.

Looks like you did not flash correct slot. Try booting the other slot ?
Yeah. I did that also.
My phone was not booting in any situation. So during this time, I did flash same rom on both slots. Still no system boot.

Did you follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5z/how-to/guide-custom-rom-flashing-guide-t3944849/ and do all steps ?
If not do it all again, from start to finish. Make sure you also flash disable force encryption.
Also maybe you have a corrupt download? Did you try re-download or an another ROM?

1. i have tried that method
2.. Disable force encryption is not yet done manually.
3. ROM is okay. I have 3-4 GSI ROMs but no-one boots
my sys config -
stock ROM is flashed on A slot and hence twrp goes on B slot.
then from twrp i flash ROMs and doesnt work. tried writing on other slot also but no boot
i guess i am messing something here in this slot game.
can you suggest please, i never liked asus stocked roms. and boot issue has kept me away from custom roms

Join the telegram group for more details. Basically you're missing a step somewhere. If you can get to twrp then the last few steps are simple. You should also flash vbmeta and disable force encryption. Then it's all straightforward (relatively)

can you tell me how to get boot.img file for RR. i need to root it via magisk, hence requiring boot.img file to patch from magisk.
some minor bugs & my observations
1. fast charging is not working as fast as on stock (any solutions?)
2. i have got fingureprint enrollment issue. (fingureprint gestures are working) screenshot attached

Not at all.
So I was running fagyi's build and I flashed the new official build earlier.
NFC works now and Bluetooth works a lot better with my car. Battery life is a lot better.
This is using the same kernel/device tree as LineageOS. Me and @AnierinB will update frequently.
@AnierinB got official status for Resurrection Remix and OTA support.

Doesn't reboot when I use the stock camera. I don't use social media so I can't test the other apps.
Nice to see RR back! Thanks guys. Running now, and so far it's running GREAT!
I had to re-flash the ROM after i messed something up and I did/do have one possible issue....about 10 minutes after the clean ROM re-flash, i was getting a notification that the FONTS PACKAGE had a problem, the toast referenced the xml file was missing or corrupt????, if i am not mistaken. i just caught it before the toast closed. I only had the toast pop up once and will take a log if i see it again. It may be the ROM settling in, because i have not seen it again and have changed the FONTS in . If anyone else is encountering it, we may need to get a log so Anierin can look into.

If you have a reboot issue when opening camera app, then your battery must be replaced.
But my situation is that the phone hang for 3~5 sec and then reboot :crying:

If you are currently using lvm, you should switch to chinese for unified storage to work.

You have to change lvm to chinese storage.

If you don't want unified storage, you can remove lvm altogether and then flash the rom.

ready folow that method still boot on white screen.. after 5-10 menits blackscreen... any sugestion? how remove lvm altogether

It happens because you have the r63419 new lcd that is not supported. I have the same problem on almost every ROM that is not patched for it.
Nice! Coming from crDroid (dirty flashed, not recommended!). So far I'm liking it, only thing I'm annoyed with is how Android just shows a dot when I have more than three notifications, I can't find the setting for that anywhere.

I have OPPO Find 7a and I like your "custom ROM" Resurrection Remix. I think it's more stable than "original ROM" ColorOS 2.1.5i.
But, I found bugs (?) or something that bothering me when I used your custom ROM.
First, the android system is always displaying a message that my SD card is corrupted, despite I have setup it and formatted it properly. Here I have attached screenshot to show you what I mean:

FYI, my SD card is NOT corrupted or broken or damaged or whatever you called it, and this "SD card corrupted" message appeared ONLY when I use Android Pie 9.0 (I have tried the latest version of Resurrection Remix, LineageOS, and Mokee ROM), and I never experience it when I use ColorOS. I have tried to mount my SD card in both smartphone (OPPO Find 7a) and PC, and it was functioning normally in both devices. I just feel bothered with "SD card corrupted" message in my smartphone. If my SD card can be mounted successfully and it is functioning normally, then WHY the android system keep telling me that it is corrupted?! FYI, my SD card is NOT corrupted or broken or damaged or whatever you called it, and this "SD card corrupted" message appeared ONLY when I use Android Pie 9.0 (I have tried the latest version of Resurrection Remix, LineageOS, and Mokee ROM), and I never experience it when I use ColorOS. I have tried to mount my SD card in both smartphone (OPPO Find 7a) and PC, and it was functioning normally in both devices. I just feel bothered with "SD card corrupted" message in my smartphone. If my SD card can be mounted successfully and it is functioning normally, then WHY the android system keep telling me that it is corrupted?! Or am I misunderstanding with the definition of corrupted SD card? Anyone have similar experience?

For the SD card corrupted issue, try making TWRP backup then find and flash the unified storage zip or something like that. My Find 7's are in a different than continent than me right now or I would be trying it.

Set as default phone app
New build coming tonight or tomorrow. Will be switching from included pixel gapps to integrated gms. Please clean flash the next build. Gapps is still included, just integrated gms is smaller than pixel gapps.

Excellent ROM! Tons of cool features. I just have one question: is it possible to get am/pm on the lock screen time? I can't find a setting for it might just be skimming over it. But anyways thanks for this. Much appreciated.

I have two problems:
1. After the last google update my back cam is not working anymore! There are a lot of users having this problem but there is no solution on the stock rom atm. Is there a way to fix this?
2. I have a smart watch. The connection works fine but if I leave the range of bluetooth the phone did not connect automatically with the watch. Is there a way to enable this?

Rapid charging isn't working? It's either slowly charging or charging? Anyone else having this issue? And no it's not my cables. Stock charges fine. I love this ROM though! Thanks for all of the hard work!

For a successful build, I guess I need hardware/qcom/msm8998 package, but if I include it from AOSP I have the following error:

First of all big thanks for that build. Finaly, custom firmware on actual OS version!
Today installed this build on P2 and it flight normal but with some little troubles.
1. Doesn't work "Double tap to Wake"
2. Doesn't work "Lift to Wake"
3. Can't disable raising ringtone volume. This switch is placed in Settings, but doesn't work. Hope it will fix later.

Clean flash from unofficial to official please. Dirty works however but you might run into a few issues.

The FW is included in the ROM file. You do not have to flash separately. Also the FW is 10.0.0-Hotfix one.

Ideally not, but if you never flashed the Hotfix or open beta 10.0.3 then you should once. Else if you had ever then not needed.

EvoX is a custom vendor based rom, so you have to wipe system, cache, dalvik, vendor and data.
After that follow the flashing instructions from the above ^

Yes I formatted everything and even formatted vendor and tried everything there is to it. But right now I'm replying from RROS 8.6.3 for rmx1992. I had to--
1. Erase everything as per instructions provided. (Caused bootloop)
2. Then I had to download realme official (.ozip) from realme website and flash through recovery. (Still couldn't flash on latest TWRP)
3. (PANICCCCCCCCCCCC).
4. CAREFULLY read the error and noticed some "treble" thing. (Did a lot of searching on Google)
5. Flashed ORANGE FOX RECOVERY THROUGH TWRP.
6. Then flashed .ozip through Orange fox and *voila* my phone was resurrected to stock rom.
7. Then flashed rros *official 8.6.3*. ( Must say coming from Whyred RROS, it's disappointing**).
** Disappointments-
1. No FLING navigation.
2. Bluetooth range sucks.
3. Proximity sensor doesn't work and my phone heats up so much within 2 minutes it's unbearable.
4. Google Pay doesn't work.
5. EdXposed doesn't work.
But thanks to Devs for this nice rom, BATTERY BACKUP IS AWESOME.... And CUSTOMISATION is top notch....
