Oneplus 7 pro cases with most raised side lips - OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories

Which Oneplus 7 pro cases have the most raised side lip? I don't really use edge functions so I am not bothered if these are a bit affected. Thanks!

I'd suggest the Speck Presidio Grip.

I have the Ringke and the Poetic Affinity cases. Poetic has a much more noticable lip around the screen and impacts the bottom gestures more. The Ringke has less, but still some lip. I ordered the new Spigen Tough Amour case as I had one on my LGV30 and liked it. Added bonus of a kickstand. I suspect that to have about the same lip as the Ringke.
To answer your question if I was not going to fight with a TPG Screen protector and use the phone without one, the Poetic case it what I would look at. I suspect that the Poetic case was pushing on my UV TPG Screen protector forcing it up around the edges... Or I cured it incorrectly. But after two times and 5 mins of cure time over 5 locations on the phone, I think it might be the case...

I second this. Great case and good lip all around. Doesn't seem to effect side actions too much. Nice ridges on the side for grip. Good protection without much bulk. Doesn't show fingerprints. If you keep an eye on the website they have a 40% off sale every now and then.

I have speck too.
Went over 20 different cases and speck is the win. Very good protection and not bulky at all

Protective case

Does anyone know good protection case which comes with screen protector??
look into the "Cases - Thread" and "Which Case do you own" ...
this guy how can read, is a good guy
Except that trawling through the cases thread is crap, if someone wants an answer quickly or easily we might as well answer it. Stop being patronising and just be nice. Its a forum, not school.
The only decent looking ones I have seen are otterbox and ballistic. Otterbox defender has a decent looking screen protector too. Quite thick, although aparrently scratches a bit.

Slimmest case

Can I get an opinion on a good very slim case... Basically something that covers back and sides.

so far i like it....especially for ~$3 shipped. just takes a while to get here.
You have several choices if you glance over this forum. Ones that come to mind (to help you with your search in this thread) are ringke slim, spigen ultra fit slim, bear motion slim, and a couple of other slim knock offs on eBay. I think the ringke is the best option. It's very grippy, feels identical to the naked N5 back side

I'm a fan of the Nillkin. It's extremely slim, the grip is beautiful, and the material won't scratch the phone. Easily my favorite of the shell cases.
Available on Amazon!
I would recommend quicksand cases. Cheap but awesome

Just do a search in the forum dude. This question has been answered tons of times! Look over a bunch (all of the reviews have pics) and take your pick.
Here's a bunch of reviews I did of hardcases from ebay. Ton of pics. (I recommend the Quicksand cases, or Semi Transparent if you have a White Nexus 5)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577289
Bear Motion Sand Cases (don't bother, it's just a quicksand case like mine above with Bear Motion stamped on it. You can see comparisons in the thread).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2570183
Spigen Ultra Fit (Many recommend it, a good case, known to scratch corners if you're not careful because of how rigid it is).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513645
Ringke Slim (I have it, like it a lot. Thinner than the Spigen. Switch between it and my quicksand cases often, a good case, known to scratch corners if you're not careful because of how tight/rigid it is).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507313
Nillkin Nexus 5 case (No experience with this one, but people here really like it).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518646
amCase ultra slim (People really like it, nice fit, but may peel the finish easily).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2596427
0.33mm Thin TPU case (Hit or miss, some really like it, others have had problems, ridiculously thin though).

I agree that there's enough of these threads that a search will find easy answers now (like all of the ones I listed above, were found with searching "slim" or "thin").
Also, why even bother mentioning where it's from? If the case is good, who cares where it comes from. Everything is pretty much manufactured and shipped from somewhere in S.E Asia anyway. Have a look here to compare the Bear Motion Slim to standard Quicksand. The same goes for their Semi Transparent Polycarbonate.
The main difference, is if you go with ebay or alibaba etc, you skip the middle men/paint/branding/retailer markups, ordering usually direct from factory seller. So what's essentially $20 from a retailer, you can get for $0.99 - $2.00. The only drawback, is it takes about 3 weeks to arrive.

Because I read a lot here and most folks say "they are Chinese knockoffs" . I'll redact my comment above, I apologize if you were offended by it. I don't care if the cases come from Pluto it was just the way it's been put by others in the forum and I was re-quoting it.

No worries, I wasn't offended by it. It always just seems to be a blanket assumption/insult thrown around a lot here though. Mostly based off misunderstanding/unfamiliarity of how manufacturing and distribution works.
Most people don't realize that the case they're holding in their hand, from some big name company is the exact same product made from the same "cheap Chinese factory." The only difference being that these knockoffs, are the exact same product before Branding/Marketing/Retailer Distribution/Cost Markups are attached to it. The prestige of a brand name make people think that these cheaper versions from China are inferior, when in fact they are the same thing, from the same place, minus a company logo, just sold to you directly. Now I'm not saying that's how it is 100% of the time, but the majority of the time, if something is manufactured in China, that is the case.
I feel bad more so for the Chinese people that frequent xda, or in general. That their ethnicity is used so easily and frequently as an insult for low quality.

I understand and can relate

plz recommend a slim case for Moto X

Apologies in advance for yet another slim case thread, but really didn't find what I'm looking for:
- as slim as possible, either hard or TPU, but not silicon
- would like all corners/sides covered
- preferably comes in white
The Anker case seems no longer available. Some clear cases got reviews about easily scratched. Some slim cases (e.g., bear motion) leaves the top/bottom unprotected. I have Ditztronic TPU case for a Droid DNA and considered that too thick for my taste.
The Supcase seems to fit my requirement, but I really have no idea how much bulk it adds to the phone. I'm already coming to the moto x for its size from a naked HTC One, so I don't want to add extra bulk if I can help it. Can anyone comment on how thick the supcase is? It's a two-piece (bumper + back)?
http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Motor...qid=1396049886&sr=8-2&keywords=supcase+moto+x
My wife has a Griffin TPU case on her iphone 5s that is really thin and light. Too bad they don't seem to make it for the Moto X.
The Qmadix also looks nice, and comes in white, but again, I wonder how thick it is...
As you said there are several other threads with all this info already and no reason to start a new one. Just read the existing threads, look on Amazon and eBay and find one that fits your criteria. You already know what you want, why do you want us to tell you what you already know?

I've read through the threads on XDA and elsewhere, searched and read on Amazon, and still have not found the answers I was looking for, or else I wouldn't feel the need to start another thread. If you feel my thread isn't of interest, please don't join the effort. I put rather specific questions about two cases people had mentioned before. I was hoping people who have those cases can address them, instead of me having to gamble the time and money. Isn't that one of the purposes of the forum?
If you can show me posts that directly address my questions, I'll ban myself from asking questions on this forum for 6 months. Hows' that?

I don't care if you ban yourself, which just seems silly. But if you have more questions about cases, then you should be posting them in threads that already exist rather than starting a new one.
As far as specific threads, I won't do the work for you but they do exist on this forum. I have personally posted about the Qmaddix cases and have even posted photos of them both on and off my MX. There is also several comments about the Sup cases including photos. There are no questions you asked that haven't already been answered here.

Need protection without overkill: OtterBox Defender. My wife and I bought them for our Moto X's and they are very, very nice. Comes in colors.
My favorite slim case is Fosmon TPU. Tried a supcase but didn't really like it.

I got a supcase off Amazon. I love it. Has nice look and feel. Not too sure how well it would protect against a good fall, its a slim case after all.

Qmadix is a nice not-big case
Anyone find a case like the first generation Otter box. It was rubber only. Tire tread, not easy to get out of your pocket. Perfect if you added a screen protector. I had one for my Droid x2. Defender?
It would stay put on your thigh.
Incipio makes slim cases. My wife and I both use Incipio cases on our Moto X's. My wife has the DualPro Shine and I have the DualPro. They are both fairly slim cases.

I do not follow you. When I search for the latest Defender for the x, I see only a $40 multi component case. The one I had was one piece all rubber only.

Your flip case is looking very nice.. i will buy it. How much shipping cost ?
I pretty much was looking for the same thing as you. Slim case with great protection that added the very minimum bulk necessary to prevent the phone from being damaged and still felt great in the hand. I searched far and wide and decided on these two.
Moto X Hyperion TPU case off eBay. Link and vid included
Link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3EkhNlr_ek
It costs about $8 and its very slim and minimal. Its matte black and covers the phone great. Even has the dimple cut out for the Moto logo on the back. The TPU around the power/volume are precise and don't make the buttons hard to press unlike cheaper TPU cases out there.
I also ordered another tpu case for about $4 from another seller on eBay
This one is matte black and has the buttons cut out which is a plus since i hate TPU cases that make the buttons hard to press.
Thats about the only difference apart from not having a dimple cut out.

Let's get Evolutive Labs to make the Rhinoshield Crash Guard bumper for Z3c

Here's their iPhone bumper: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1081571316/rhinosheild-crash-guard-slim-impact-bumper-for-iph
Z3c with this bumper in combination with tempered glass front and back would be my dream setup: very robust without bulking the phone up and sacrificing its sexy appearance. It would make the grip better too, I find the most slippery part of the phone to be the plastic side edges.
I emailed them asking if they're considering doing a Z3c version. Here's their reply:
Hello Adam,
Thank you for your interest in Rhino Shield!
The bumper for iPhones is our first stage and we're evaluating the possibility of doing bumpers for other models. If there are enough demands for Z3C, we are happy to do the bumper for it as well. We'll record your demand and will let you know when we have any updated news for Z3C.
Cheers
Jo

As mentioned there is a thread for this already here please use it instead.

Best clear TPU case?

Hi all,
I am looking for a clear or white TPU case for my white Z3C. I have attempted to read the cases thread but there are over 800 posts and a lot of them seem mainly concered with magnetic charging dock compatitbility, which I don't have.
Can anyone recommend me a case please? My criteria would be:
- Clear or white, not too bulky.
- Adds a little grip
- Good protection from accidental drops - I admit I am a little clumsy with my phone at times.
- has space to put a tempered glass screen protector on the front.
- ideally needs either usb OR magnetic cut-out but not really both as I will only use one or the other. And I will buy a magnetic cable, not a dock, so it won't need to fit in one.
I have looked at the Cruzerlife bugdroid. But I just don't like the droid on the back... I would much prefer completely plain.
Any advice?
I think Ringke fusion is the one you are looking for.
Take a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/accessories/z3-compact-thread-t2879996 you will find many feedback for Ringke and other cases
Thanks, I will have a look at that one.
I saw the Orzly fusion - has anyone seen both the Ringke and the Orzly in real life to compare them?
I did try to read that thread, but there are over 800 posts and a huge amount of them are dedicated to whether the case will allow the phone to stilll be used in the magnetic charging dock, and not many seem to discuss how well the phone would be protected in case of a fall.

I have both for months. The only case I have been using is the Ringke. In my opinion it wins by a mile!
Thanks, that is helpful!
Can I ask why you think the ringke is better?

In any aspect it's better.
The actual housing of the Ringke is a lot more durable.
The Ringke feels very well in hand and offers very good grip.
I dropped the phone on purpose and nothing happened and I really wasn't afraid of doing it.
Some/most complain about the Ringke floppyness of the case at the left side that blocks the flaps, I think they did that on purpose and unless you keep the phone in the case most of the times there really is no problem.
I'm using the one from Nillkin very sleek not slippery at all fits perfectly on a magnetic dock and preserve the beauty of my Z3 although there's a little brand name but you rarely notice it price around 4-5$ not bad at all for the beauty and security it can give.
And oh the cut around the USB and memory card slot are quite long perfect for the z3 dual D6633 owners.
