Zenfone 6 Parts possibly sold at this page - ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019) Guides, News, & Discussion

I have seen some people trying to buy parts such as camera glass, or even screen. Most parts won't be out on places like eBay, Amazon or similar for a while given the fact that the phone is somewhat new. However, Asus has a website that sells a significant portion of these parts (Although transactions must be done in EUR, which might disqualify US buyers for now unless they can ship to the US and the buyer has a CD that converts the currency automatically). I can neither confirm nor deny the validity of the parts they are selling through this website, however for those who want to give it a try here is the link:
https://www.asusparts.eu/en/partfinder/Asus/Smartphone/ZenFone/ZenFone 6 ZS630KL
P.S: I don't own the device yet.
Update: Confirmed. parts can't be shipped to the US (for now)

Can I trust Chinese wholesalers on the web?

I found a portal of wholesalers and factories of China and Taiwan
some of them ask for a minimum of 50 pcs of Desire and a few accept to sale a single Desire.
I asked live to a saleswoman about if it's the real original and final HTC Desire and she told me yes.
She told me it will cost me 190$ + DHL and only 4 days delivery time
could this be real or it's a thief?
Sounds a bit suspect? Bit too good to be true?
Look for reviews of the wholesaler on Google and see if they are reputable?

Western Union always smells like Scam!!!
It was so good to beleive I can get the Desire for 190$
suspicious
sounds very suspicius - probably it's just a look alike -I have seen many of them on the web for the diamond - diamond 2 etc.
ask if it support two sims - chinese phones usually do - and if it does it's sure a fake
Yes definitevely scammers
I googled the zip code and name they gave me
and they stole many people yet
No original Stuff in China available for us average people
Never trust chinese Companies. None of them have Licence to sell e.g. original HTC Phones/Parts to anywhere in the World.
Any known Company in the World gives legal Certificates and Licences to their Wholesalers.
None of those chinese Wholesalers have any legal base to sell these products to Europe or the US.
Price: How would genuine Brands keep up their pricing poilicy if all those chinese wholesalers would sell cheap stuff to the whole world?
Watch out for Chinese scams!
If you do business with those chinese fraudulents, use paypal in combination with your creditcard. this will give you the advantage of being able to stop the payment when the goods are not delivered, filing a complaint with both paypal and your credit card company.
Also, it will be useful to check out who is the domain registrar/registree using http://who.is/. If the full set of data on the domain (name, adress, telephone etc.) is available, it is less likely that it is a scam. Also look up other people's experiences with the particular seller.
Anyhow, the father of a friend of mine fell in the trap of such a site. After full payment he got a mail from the seller telling him that the Chinese customs would not let the package true and that, if he wanted to receive his goods, he had to bribe them. Of course the Chinese firm offered to do this for him, trying to lure him into transferring more money still. Long story short, it just a scam like the "Nigerian Prince" scams.

HTC Desire from China bought on eBay

Does anyone have any experience buying the HTC Desire from China?
I read that the Nexus One has been cloned. I see no official report that the HTC Desire has also been cloned, but I have noticed a lot of suppliers selling the Desire through Alibaba. I am wondering if these are clones too.
Today I bought an HTC Desire off eBay from China which is supposed to be brand new in the box.
It was rediculously cheap - 50-60% cheaper than the cost of an HTC Desire from a US seller.
Now I am worried it's a clone.
I have protection from eBay PayPal so I should be ok, but I am curious to hear what people think.
Also, does anyone know of a program which will read and tell me the hardware specifications of my HTC? I'm looking for one of those apps like Intel provides to give you the model and serial number of your processor on your PC. I figure this is one way of confirming whether I have a real HTC phone when it arrives.
Any link to the eBay auction?
The "clones" of these high end cellphones in China are pretty fake. They resemble the real ones, but one can easily tell the difference. They definitely don't run android, and run some variation of Linux that is skinned to look like iPhone/WinMo/Android.
Once you have it in hand, it would be very obvious to you whether it is fake, either from the hardware or from the software, so there is no need to use any software to check the hardware specification.
There is no Nexus One/Desire clones that runs real Android or equipped with Snapdragon. Again, if it is a fake, it will be VERY obvious.
Thanks for your reply.
Here is the link.
I will ask the seller to send me pics he took instead of the ones he copied.

Judging from the fact that the image is just ripped from some blog site and not even an HTC press release shot, combined with the sellers score: 0. So no sales or even any buys to the account...
I would be very surprised if this guy has even seen a Desire in person, forget you receiving one in the mail from this seller
Is it really worth the trouble?
I can tell you with no doubt, its a fake one! Because even in China, you won't get a real 2nd hand desire at that price.

This alone does not convince me.
When I sell items, I am lazy and rip images and descriptions from other listing.
However, add this to the fact that the seller has no scores...so maybe.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
If it's too good to be true, it definitely is.

Are you serious when you said you bought it? HTC desire for 170 unlocked..really?
Where I live, I can barely get a dumbphone unlocked for that money.
Well, the picture was taken from some blog and the spec were copied from HTC website. That page alone can't tell whether the phone is real or not.
But as I said before, those Chinese clones of high end phones look really fake, and those Chinese sellers are not trying to scam people into believe that they are real. There is a market for cheap look-alike phones in China, and that market is what those "clones" are for.
People, the $170 final price is the result of an AUCTION, not a buy-it-now price. My bet is that this phone is real, but the fact that the seller is from China, together with the fact that he has 0 feedback, making no one wanted to bid on it. I highly doubt that he will ship you the phone, given how low the final price is. He will probably make up an excuse not to ship you the phone (out of stock, wrong listing, blah blah blah), and then refund you (I you had paid already). If he did ship you the phone, you win. If he shipped you a super fake clone, Paypal will get your money back. The only thing you will lose is time.
I took a chance on a simular "deal" for a HD2 and I was sent a small pink noname brand(actually works, my woman loves it) and a FAKE Iphone 3G. Get you paypal refund info ready.

I had the same thoughts.
I will see what I do.
I have not paid yet and can back out if I like by cancelling my transaction before payment.
I emailed the seller and asked for real pictures, why he is selling, what the serial number is, etc. I will see if he answers.
Unfortunately the seller's English is pretty bad so communicating is difficult.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
HTC doesn't sell cellphones in China offically
ebay buyer protection isn't worth ****. I got screwed when buying a PDA a couple years ago. ebay contacted me and told me not to send payment as his account was suspended. Unfortunately, I already had and received a box with a small rock in it which weighed what the PDA should.
I got about $200 back from ebay but I paid the guy $600.
USE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND YOU'LL BE FINE. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY.
Here are my golden rules for ebay, I hope this helps ....
NEVER buy a 'brand new' phone from ebay. You probably wont ever be able to return it, and might not have any kind of warranty.
Never buy anything from a seller with zero feedback. You simply cannot trust them if they do not have any reputation.
Never buy anything from China (unless you are sure about the seller).

Add to this list only buy form China if you think the money is worth the risk
But 170 bucks isnt worth it for me maby for you then take your chances
0 feedback seller from China...
I bought a while ago a Sony headset from China (was dead cheap so gave it a try), the seller had plenty of feedback and I eventually got the headphones. They looked so good, very real. But the sound... was worse than the cheapest pound store ones!! Funny thing is the seller disapperaed from Ebay straight after the paypal payment... no refund for the fakes. I def learned my lesson.
I have seen a lot of this fake seller in china, all of them have 0 feedback or some fake feedbacks. Usually the sell all phones they can in a short period of time, and after that you get nothing and they will delete their ebay account.
I hope this one is not like it
It's one of either two things.
You got scammed and will be sent nothing (Which is what i'm expecting)
Or
You're going to be sent a very very bad nexus one clone.

iZenus legit?

I am looking for a smartphone case and Zenus has a few good cases. I searched them on Amazon and some other places and the one I want is currently 40€.
I searched on google for their homepage to see what kind of products they have and I found these two links here
http://izenus.com/
http://www.zenuscase.net/
iZenus sells the case I want for only 11$ while zenuscase sells the same vor 37$. I was wondering if iZenus is legit or maybe just a fake website to steal money from people.

it looks like both are legit. zenuscase.net is the international site. if you look at the 'about us' page, you can see that it is based in Korea, quite open about their company in terms of providing the manufacturing site and so on.
if you scroll to the 'where to buy' section, you can actually see izenus.com is listed under 'USA'. right now, i speculate that zenuscase.net is simply stating the msrp, but like many retailers, the msrp could be ignored and the retailer could set their own prices which i think is what izenus.com is doing. how is this possible? they could be getting the cases at a much cheaper per unit cost plus they could be bulking on their inventory so a quantity discount would apply.
btw, zenuscase.com is the company website, zenuscase.net is the 'shopping portal' for zenuscast.com. izenus seems to serve in USA while zenuscase.net serves globally and hence the higher prices, why? probably greater costs such as land, rent, inventory storage, and so on.
hope this clarifies it up a little bit

Where do you GET a H815EU in the US?

Does anyone know of a reputable vendor that will sell me a H815-EU- the one I can actually unlock bootloader on, from LG directly?
The "international" versions on Amazon aren't reliable- already bought one, and although the box was factory sealed and said "H815", it was a Singapore version that LG disqualified from unlocking. Of course, I'd rather use a 1950 pulse dial landline telephone than deal with the crapware on the US carrier versions (since we can't flash custom roms to defeat that crap).
LG doesn't seem to sell this directly, either. At least not in the US?
I'm sure I could find "some guy" on teh Intarnet that "has one"... but looking for a reliable vendor that will sell NIB factory sealed. I'm not looking to turn this into a solicitation post!
Any recommendations?
Don't know of anywhere in the USA. I had to import mine from Handtec.
Are there any additional sources for the 815EU that ship to US?
Chase bank and I got into a fight over letting me use my credit card at Handtec (the former is now fired, rot in hell) and the latter probably thinks I am a scammer for trying four successively declined charges... I would too, nothing against them.
I ended up getting it from Amazon... forgot you could order simply by doing "amazon.co.uk" rather than accepting the country default... your US login also works, but it won't recognize you if you are signed in from the US and don't do it again for the UK site. Think it was like $26 shipping and duties, which is pretty damn cheap.
Wonderful phone, BTW... I love it.

I looked up my order, and sure enough, that seller no longer ships to the US.
This is the link to the one I ordered: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00WIYGXBG
It appears one of the leather cased ones has a seller that does ship to the US.
The one I got (bootloader) unlocked just fine, just please note for your own sake that there are a lot of ones claiming to be H15EUs (like the first one I tried, a Singapore edition) that LG won't consider eligible to unlock.
There are probably other countries' Amazon sites with different shipping policies, if you can speak languages other than English... I tried for the low-hanging fruit.

Impossible to get a replacement front screen for Nokia 8 Sirocco in US

I just bought a new condition Nokia 8 Sirocco for review purposes and then planned on reselling it, of course I dropped it first day I got it (luckily with the case on), but unluckily it shattered the front glass. Touch seems to work just fine however, BUT...
Nokia won't sell me the part or help me at all since I'm not in the same country as where it is available from their website.
I tried ordering parts through a cellphone repair store authorized with Nokia, and even called and emailed places in both the UK and Canada that were authorized Nokia repair stores, and they are unable to get me the part or repair it for me even if I pay shipping there and back as well as for the repair and part.
The one website I found that sells the part for a very reasonable 400 rs (5-6 usd) only ships within India.
I've wasted so much time trying to figure out how to just get the part, much less have it repaired. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or can help me out I'd be incredibly grateful, or if you can sell me the part directly that would work as well.
Thanks for your time !
Front Screen for Nokia 8
China is the main source of cell phone parts. So, I think you should try "Aliexpress". And they can deliver your product in the USA.

hi wiederganger,
i just bought a N8S with cracked screen, too good a price to not, i'd seen an ad via google for replacement screens for £69.99 in UK so thought id get it fixed easily, but when i got the phone i checked out the company on trust pilot, it is a scam, all bad reviews nothing good. I got in touch with nokia uk, they quoted £303GBP (about $400USD) for the repair, i can get new glass put in a samsung S8 for £70, so they are way over pricing it and withholding parts deliberately. i tweeted this info out, maybe they'll wake up as nobody would buy one if they realised the screen replacement cost. imho if they make things that break so easily they should be forced to supply replacement parts by law. or use a better screen that can be dropped, we all drop phones once in a while.
anyway i also searched around for glass only. everywhere in china i can find (aliexpress mainly) sells the whole LCD assembly for about $150USD, which is an option if all else fails. 1 place in india has screen only. again a hassle to get it sent overseas. but first ill wait a while, im sure the parts will become available. luckily this phone is usable as is, ill eventually fix it and sell it before i break the screen then buy another smasung because too much hassle to get parts for nokia. similar to apple who deliberately withhold parts also. just dont buy from these companies. i wont buy anything from nokia again. ill let you know how i get on.
Hi, I dropped my Sirocco 8 in December and the glass was toast but the screen worked okay. I bought it in the UAE and have since moved to Malaysia.
Nokia in Malaysia wouldn't touch it and told me that I'd need to send to the country of purchase for repair. I'm not keen on the idea of sending the phone back to the UAE so I too found the company in the UK (QMF) and have sent the phone to them. They've now told me that they cannot obtain the parts so I'm now scouring the web in the hope that someone can fix this phone for me. I loved this phone and if I'd known the trouble I'd have to get it repaired, I would have either not bought it or wrapped it in cotton wool!
If anyone has any luck with getting their phone repaired, I would appreciate if they could share details.
Have a good one.
I sent my N8S to the said repair shop for £69.99 to replace the screen -3 weeks ago. Today, they sent me an email wanting another £180 more for the LCD replacement. I told them to cancel the repairs and refunds will be 30 days.
