[MOD][ROOT] Overclock your screen to 66HZ-72hz-75hz-84HZ in MIUI Android P - Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Themes, Apps, and Mods

Use it at your own risk! (Don't flash it on any Q ROMs)The dtbo.img is extracted from the Chinese version of miui 9.8.15,so you better use version 9.8.15 or later,.Some people use 84hz not smooth,75hz is the best option, but i used 84hz and it's perfect for me! so what are you waiting for? this zip include 66hz-72hz-75hz-84hz
-Download the attached zip, unzip it
-Open TWRP
-Backup your dtbo partition
-Select the corresponding dtboxx.img, choose the dtbo partition, the flash it
-Reboot
You should see the changes immediately after the restart. It's way smoother than before.
If you want to go back to default, restore your dtbo partition backup or flash the dtbo60

Hello, i have global 10.3.4 stable, can i use this? I need to flash 9.8.15 first? Thanks.

Is this working for AOSP roms as well or just for MIUI?
Edit: Not working for me on crDroid wehn flashing via Lanthanum System Toolbox, AIDA64 always shows 60Hz.

miui

Hi i flash on eu Xiaomi 9.8.15 and dont work, Aida 64 show 60hz.
Or Aida tell bad information?

Are there any damage or bad effect to screen. Is it safe to install?

I'm sorry, but too many questions left here. This is a mod that alters one of the main components of the phone so I feel this should be a bit better explained.
1. dtbo was grabbed from Chinese MIUI 9.8.15, so will it work only on chinese roms or also in global? Xiaomi.eu also?
2. Same way, can it be a more updated version? E.g. Global 10.3.3 or only near 9.8.15?.
3. You said to backup dtbo via TWRP, I didn't find any option there for so. I guess we should use Lanthanum System Toolbox or any other app, correct?
Thanks.

It works on Xiaomi.eu
It,s wayy smooth.
But, for some reason, the in display fingerprint reader doesn't work as should.

This seems to be a common issue. Saw many complaining at the Mi 9 thread also. Some said deleting and re-adding the fingerprints solves it.
Btw, do you have any green tint with 84hz?

I don't have the green tint issue. Indeed, the colours look a bit more warmer, but nothing serious. I have also deleted the stored fingerprints but doesn't solve the problem. The only thing that makes the fingerprint reader to work as it should is to disable the fingerprint icon on the display. I don't know why, but disabling the icon makes the sensor to work normally. Now, i have flashed the 75hz mod, and everything is working as it should. It's not that smooth as 85hz mod, but at least the fingerprint sensor works normally.

I installed the ROM and was using it for some time.
1. I was able to install gapps (Bitgapps .6) and login to google. But my contacts didn't show up. In the settings >other accounts section, there is no option to enable contacts sync
2. I installed Titanium backup pro which i purchased from google and titanium took quite a long time(this is true of all all apps requiring root) to acquire root privileges. Also I was not able to do batch restore . After restoring one app titanium exits.
3 gcam works. Stock camera does not work. Able to record videos and photos using gcam
4 There was heating with the default kernel, ie nameless R28. I installed bubble wrap successfully, but still the temp was above normal ie around 50°C.
5. Volte works.
So the initial set up of apps and data could take some time. Also heating. Chinese characters are there in some apps. Otherwise ROM can be used as daily driver.

MIUI 12.0.7 Released

Unofficial Changelog:
1)The gray Control Center is here to stay
2)A month old security patch
3)The gesture pill is straight up ditched
4)Even more bloatware
I also noticed the inability to change between the new and old control center, mi support tells me it has been done due to performance related issues. There is a way to getting split screen back with its gesture in the settings but couldn't find a similar workaround to floating apps. Camera is ever so slightly faster that's the only positive I could think of so I just downgraded to 12.0.3

What camera is included?
Can someone compare battery life after usage?
Might be an idea to explain what this is.

well, you will have to dig around. miui roms arent that popular, so it might take a while. in the meantime, consider using a adb debloat tool to clean your tablet
Im using the same one as yours, global miui 13.0.4. i haven't any problem since the update launched (and also the best performance i've felt). Rather, it is the best one i've ever used compared to older versions.
And also the palm pressure works like a charm for some reason
Maybe try to factory reset or even re-flash the rom

The MIUI in China has many interesting skills. However, it does not work very well outside China as it does not have any goggle apps at all and MIUI China has some ads.

Themes / Apps / Mods A potential solution for a proximity sensor (Magisk module)

Hello everyone I found this module for magisk on 4pda forum.A Magisk module that claims to fix proximity sensor issues.
From personal experience, it seems to me that the proximity sensor gives 40 percent better results.
Try it yourself and see if it really works.
Just to add, I am not the developer of this module. All credits go to the creator (arTimOha33 from 4pda forum) i just found this module and want to share with you.

This applies to MIUI, I am using xiaomi.eu rom based on android 13 that option is available.
Yes I am on MIUI 13.0.9 but not the .eu rom. Will try that rom.
Does disabling proximity sensor atleast solve the problem of annoying touches during calls or black screen during incoming calls for you?

No, MIUI 14 did not bring anything new in terms of the proximity sensor. And I don't think there will be any further progress. What I know for sure is that this is probably my last Xiaomi.
