Are all EVR-L29 dual sim? - Huawei Mate 20 X Questions & Answers

Quick question, are they all dual sim or do some of the above models only come as single sim ?

Dual sim. You can substitute one sim however for expanded storage using Huawei's proprietary storage. I just use one or two sims in mine.

Thanks, how about in regards to the different region versions for this evr-l29. Will I still be able to get emergency messages like amber alerts and such using this model? I noticed a youtuber had those options when he was using his USA sim card in this device.

L29 is better because you can use google assistent and others stuffs, AL00 have differences to use assistent, localization with google maps not work good too. I can't tell you if you able to get emergengy messages, because i live in Brazil. So, better other help you with this. But i thinks, it's going to workg without problem. But confirm with someone that lives there

Also there is another post an xda member posted with pictures of his evr-l29 product label. The upc was 6901443278770.
The label didn't show as many lte bands as other evr-l29 models. Search my posts to find his post, as I replied to his post since no one had.

Real Stupid Question

I'm a little confused on the model numbers, it seems there are multiple models of the h815. I have the h815t. This phone was bought off Newegg, unlocked. Is this the international version? I would like to unlock and root.
Thanks

Should I buy a Nexus 5X US model for use outside US;

The ~35% price difference between US ans UK purchases of Nexus 5X had me thinking about finding a way to get a Nexus 5X from US.
My concern is, will I have any issues with the device, if I use it in a european country (I live in Greece)? For instance 4G not working or other connectivity issues.
What should I be aware of before making that move?
TIA
Greece uses LTE bands 3 and 7, and UMTS band 1.
The US version of the 5X has these so you would be OK in Greece.

Should be the same! I think most of the European countrys use band 1,3,7 and 20
You can see the bands for italy on wiki (I´m not allowed to post links yet so im gonna describe where)
search google for "lte frequency bands italy" and use the link List of LTE networks in europe.
Greetings
You guys have to consider warranty as well as exchanges. Might be cheaper, but in the long run could be more expensive. Don't you guys have 2 year warranties?

2 years here in Italy.
If you don't care about the warranty then I day go for it if the spectrum is there. You won't have a warranty buying an out of market one.

It's a risk for sure, but the price difference I think justifies it. My concern now is whether service centers for LG here in Greece, will service US devices or they'll respond that they have no spare parts for the US model.
That's only if nothing goes wrong. I believe if you look at LG Nexus 5 section you might be able to find your answer if the do cross warranty. Something tells me they won't, because it doesn't work the other way around. From what I have seen people who bought international versions here had to send it to where the device was intended for. Sometimes the importer might give a limited warranty or some sort of warranty plan you can purchase.

Elephone P8000 US ver. B in Asia

The US version is us listed as "unlocked worldwide". Will the US version work over in Thailand on True Wireless? My wife is from Thailand and we go over there every so often.

A quick check on willmyphonework (dot) net indicates that it may or may not work on some of the telcos there. check out the website to see for yourself. The information on the site is pretty close on many things but as they say they are not 100 percent correct but a good start to finding the answer.
Thanks, I had totally forgotten about that website

should i purchase the international or USA version of the note 7?

in terms of rooting which version should I purchase? I heard that the USA version has a locked bootloader which means it is not rootable correct? Is it impossible to unlock the bootloader unless Samsung does something or..? I would assume that since people are going so far as to refund their phones instead of waiting for an unlocker to be released if that is even possible.
I'm waiting to buy international version of phone with Xynos Chip and no AT&T bloatware. We will probably get better battery life and faster updates. We will lose HD and Wifi calling but no biggie IMHO.

Chance's of the USA version being Unlocked are slim to none... Even the Canadian version is locked down.

Having done development work in this field, I feel obligated to tell you that's not exactly true. Hd voice consists of two voice codecs - AMR Wideband, and AMR narrowband. These codecs do not explicitly require VoLTE to function. In fact, you can make "HD Voice" calls over 4G HSPA/HSPA+ using the narrowband version of the codec.

Sounds good to me. Here's AT&T definition of HD voice.

Yeah everyone dumbs down their definitions for the general public.
Basically, telephony in general has always had an 8khz spectrum width for audio. This was manly due to the fact it's small and low bandwidth. With the advent of 3.5g (hspa/hspa+ and lte) bandwidth is drastically increased. This allows for a doubled (16khz) spectrum width as there's plenty of bandwidth for it.

For AT&T and Verizon, correct. T-Mobile uses HD Voice over their 3G network, and you get better sounding calls when talking to another T-Mobile subscriber (I understand they will eventually bridge HD Voice to other carriers). VoLTE for T-Mobile (Advanced Calling for VZW) allows you to keep your LTE signal while on a call, as opposed to dropping down to 3G.

Singapore here. Singtel.
Would love to get international variant if it works with Tmobile.
I can purchase an international version on eBay, there is one currently for 789$ but there is only gold platinum available and the seller ships from NY.... i want to get this but unsure if it is a fake phone or something ><
The Phone may be region locked. Mine (South East Asia) came with a card that says, the Phone needs to be using SEA sim card for the first boot up.

I'm in the same boat, $789 seems lucrative, but no warranty so not sure should take that risk or not. I'm waiting for B&H to go on sale at least they provide their own 1 year warranty.
