Case you'd recommend for the Note 10 Plus - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Accessories

I have a Spigon now and it's nice and slim and textured so it doesn't slip out of my pocket every time I sit down.
But the bottom is too hard and hurts my pinky after long periods of use. I'm usually an otterbox nut but that's not available...yet.
Just thought I'd see what the community has to say

I got my Otterbox before the phone was available.

I use the unicorn beetle on my note 10+ I've been using that brand since the note 5 only issue I had with it is no built in screen protector but I still have the one that came on the phone

The leather samsung case is the best I've ever had on any phone. I got the blue one. The sides are rigid as on a phone this big rubber can be too flexible. Get it when theres an offer on. I got it 50% off. All my other cases are redundant.

I wish Samsung has the tan color for the N10+ leather case on their website

I like the Samsung Rugged case. I had it on my Note 9 and bought it for my 10+. I had a couple of scary drops with the Note 9 including one in which the impact caused the S-pen to be ejected and break but the phone was unscathed. The case had a good ding on it, but it did it's job. The Note 10+ rugged case also has two built in kick stands for different viewing angles.

I wish Pitaka would make a mag case pro for the Note 10. My wife is rough with phones and needs the extra protection. I would place a large order with them if they would make that case. I want the regular mag case for my 10+ but cant justify it if all phones in the house cant make the most of their chargers. I loved the case on our Note 8's but, they dropped the ball last year and never made one for the Note 9. Pitaka seems too interested in keeping the Apple fan base supported. It's sad really as they truly do have well built, innovative and super convenient products.
Rant over... lol

I did a review of a few lesser known cases which may help

I havent got to play with it yet, but i had Ottterbox on my last phone (4S), and im gonna warn you, if you're going with otterbox, you're gonna have a tank in you're pocket.
Plus, it's really expensive.
For myself, I bought TPU Gel Silicone Skin Cover one ebay.

Had a Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 4 for about a week and gave it away. I hated everything about it. I especially hated the screen protector so it got punched out after a couple of days and I put another Body Guardz protector on it. After a week, it was back to the Mophie and Goodwill got the case.
I talked my wife into getting a Kraken for her hand-me-down phone, the Nexus. It's awesome. The Kraken for the GS3 is supposed to be shipping by the end of July so I'm hoping it won't be delayed. I already pre-ordered one from Amazon. I think the Otterbox is supposed to be out around 7/20 or so.
Had an otterbox for my droid razr and it was such a nice case! buttons were easy to press and the case wasn't as bulky. I decided to try the trident aegis case this time around. I'll review it a bit once I get it.

"a bit"?
kind of like saying Jenna Jameson was "a bit" of a porn star...
I got mine about a week ago and haven't used it for the last 4 days. I had the same case for my s2 & loved it, I thought it was an improvement to the phone. I have a couple of gripes with the s3 case but basically I just missed the sleek & smooth feel of the phone. My other gripes are
1. The buttons are a little too big, I don't have a problem with them being hard to press, especially as I always have my s3 in landscape and without the case I was always accidentally pressing the volume buttons.
2. It's just a little too big, and that's coming from a dell streak user. I just find the new cas a bit cumbersome, it doesn't look good with the curves.
3. I prefer the softer silicone inner on the s2 model, this is a lot firmer, making it a bugger to take off & put on.
4. The screensaver is pretty poor, I understand why they couldn't go right to the curved edge but it ONLY JUST! covers the display part of the screen, meaning you're constantly feeling the edge of it when swiping from the edge of the screen. I reckon i'll be too sick of that too and will be going naked.
Love Otterbox products, and I understand there has to be a pay off for the protection but I just don't think it works too well with the s3. IMHO!

i'm actually looking into the commuter series
Some people love them, I have a friend that does.
I guess it depends on how clumsy you are or your environment and how often you drop your phone. Or how paranoid you are.
My friend drops his phone A LOT so it's the only thing keeping his phone alive.
Just ask yourself how much protection you need and if you like the case, care about the bulk, whatever.
I borrowed a friend's defender and then a commuter, hated both of them. The rubber is very grippy in my pockets and hard a hard time getting it in and out. I got a Speck CandyShell (been using these cases since I had my iPhone 4 a while back) and love them. Quality is great, last a long time, looks nice, overall a really nice case.
they are a little bulky, but if you drop your phone from great heights constantly, you will be pleased.
Otterboxes in my opinion, take away from the beauty of the phone, try to be careful cause remember galaxys usually have gorilla glass so you still have some protection without a case. Try a nice not too thin clear silcone case, I have 3 for my lovely Galaxy Note. :good:
A friend of mine owns one and two weeks ago he had the screen shattered because it fell from pocket to a little stone, the only one in the very entire place... in the other side it's me, no protection, four or five drops, and zero ****s given by my sgs3 so... i don't know if you need it or not, but if it's to be, it's gonna be...
I also think it takes away from the beauty of your phone. I personally rather have a thinner tpu case and just be extra careful when handling my phone.

How much is an otterbox?
Commuter series is relatively thin for a dual layer case. I had one save a phone from an 8 ft fall (which wasn't my fault, but that of a moronic freight driver.. long story).
To me, one of the best things about Thu phones is you can put a real case on it and not have it be too bulky.
That being said, when I take my wife out for a nice dinner, my trident case stays at home because my suit jacket pocket doesn't need the protection.

RINGKE Slim Vs. SPIGEN Ultra Fit (Pictures inside)

So.. I have tried my very best to search if anyone is talking about this in any other thread but can't find nothing on it.
I have the Nexus 4 version of the case and it has done me very well! Although about 10 days ago I broke it cause I always pop it on and off while bored.
The only other case that can compete with this (slimness wise) is the Slim SPIGEN Case.
I don't understand how there isnt a thread on this case nor is there any discussion on it! What gives?
What's your opinions on it? Which one would you choose out the two?
$5.99 RINGKE: http://www.amazon.com/RELEASE-PERFE...qid=1383319011&sr=1-2&keywords=ringke+nexus+5
$ 9.99 SPIGEN: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EV8Y50S/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Personally I'm going towards the Ringke case... its cheaper, thinner and looks a little better.
Maybe I'll be swayed towards the Spegen case from you guys!
EDIT/ UPDATE-
Finally got both cases and two phones to compare the two side by side.
After using both of them for a little bit I have decided the Ringke is the better case.
Reasons: Slimmer, covers the phone more, does not have an air gap on the back (you can press the SPIGEN on the back and it will move)
I had to sand both of them down to get rid of the ruff parts.
These super thin cases are way less popular (especially with the younger crowd) than the flashy "hybrid-like" cases that offer more protection and bling. This was the case with the GS4 as well (take a look at those forums).
I personally love the uber thin cases that offer only scratch resistance (and maybe a little drop-proof-ability) but are like having nothing on the phone and not adding to it's bulk. I have the Ringke slim for my GS4 and on the delivery truck a Ringke slim in transit for my N5.
I was very disappointed with the Spigen neo-hybrid for the GS4 and sold it immediately.
The Ringke slim on the other hand is super solid and more professional looking (if you want to call it that ).
I'm sure the Spigen Ultra Fit (Slim) would be very comparable to the Ringke, it looks almost identical in pics and specs
Glad someone brought this up too. I was looking at these two as well and this is something funny i noticed.
the size comparisons between the two are not consistent. SPIGEN reports a .3mm thicker phone but otherwise its the same size.
I'm leaning toward the RINGKE as well. cheaper if i ordered two of those with shipping than to order 2 of the Spigen and get something else for 1.02$ to hit the free shipping mark at 25.

Why exactly were you disappointed with the Neo Hybrid for S4? I had my eyes on the Champagne Gold Neo Hybrid for N5.
I'm personally not a fan of the Slim series as it doesn't offer protection for the top and bottom of the device. Whereas, the Galaxy Nexus Slim it covered the whole phone 360 and kept its slim factor.

I totally understand about the protection the slim series cases don't offer. It's all about preference indeed.
That said, I didn't like the neo-hybrid because it felt like a gimmick (if that makes sense). In other words it felt and looked like they made a case to just look "cool" rather than making a case to form fit a phone. It does offer more protection than the slim fit cases though. It was also too "square" looking for me once on the phone. Made the GS4 look iPhone-ish to my eyes.
Funny thing though....I sold it to my 17 yr old nephew (well it was free but he paid shipping) and he thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. :good:

I like the slimness but the top/bottom exposed is a no-no for me. I really wonder why they decided to go with that design. This is the Galaxy Nexus Slim I was referring to http://www.rearthusa.com/sprint_verizon_galaxy_nexus_slim.html slim factor and top/bottom protected.
Hmm, I guess that is true with the Champagne Gold. I just like the mixture between the two colors. So more or less its just aesthetics/appearances on your part but nothing of the case. I was just reading that the older versions of it have had peoples' outer part of the case to crack. Which was the same case for me when I had the official LG bumper for N4 so that was definitely worrisome.
Haha, I think its a pretty neat case too. Looks nice.

Yup, ya never know when the N5 might take a tumble to the pavement and land on the top/bottom or the screen (ouch)!
Oh I think the neo-hybrid looks great in a picture that's why I ordered it. On my GS4 was a different story. The plastic piece on mine felt like it would break very easily, but I don't know which version I had.

They're so cheap that its not even worth sending it back with the shipping fee.. plus I'm lazy Neo Hybrid is actually ~$19.99 as of right now.
Can't wait for the accessory party to finally begin and a bunch of nexus 5 videos of accessory unboxing/reviews to appear. It will make our jobs a lot easier.
Its kind of funny seeing Rearth and Spigen practically offer the same case and design and names. Slim/Hybrid, what is up with that anyway?

I thought about that too when I first ordered the Ringke slim. To my delight there is not one scratch on my GS4 (had since launch) caused from the case and I've taken it on and off over a dozen times.
Edit: I will say however, that the case is tough to get off! It's snaps on easily and extremely secure
I like to wash them every week
Yeah I had one on my N4 and went to take it off (like to get the lint off every once and a while) and it scuffed one of the corners. Most people wouldn't notice but it threw my ocd into over drive aft err that lol.

Yeah exactly why I stopped using cases. I never liked cases, prefer naked. But got the slim ringke for my gnex a couple years ago. Loved the slimness but ended up scratching my phone.
I pop my case on and off all the time and it has never scratched my N4. Maybe its just the N4 that doesn't scratch.
The reason I like these slim cases is because it does add much bulk and it keeps the design of the phone some what. I'm the kind of person that has never dropped their phone on a hard surface. Worst surface iv dropped it on is carpet which was from my lap.
I'm thinking of buying both now cause I can't make my mind up at all!

just ordered the spigen ultra fit soft matte white for my black nexus 5
i hate cases. so much attention and value is dedicated to the aesthetics and build quality of a phone only to be covered up by an uglier case. my gf has an iphone, a really beautiful phone, and she covers it up with the most hideous otterbox. in her case it is warranted because she is a clutz, but it bothers me every time i see it. i liken it to buying a really nice sports car and then covering it up in foam to drive around.
BUT... i've had my current phone for 1.5 years and i remember the feeling when i dropped it the first day i bought it... it felt bad. only a small scratch but i swear i stared at that scratch and rubbed my finger over it so many times the first week in regret. hopefully this case will be minimal enough and good feeling enough so that i will keep it on my phone. but i'm predicting i'll keep it on for about 2 weeks before i decide i just want my phone beautiful and nude.
why spigen over ringke? well first off i wanted matte and second off ringke advertises "world's thinnest case" and then proves it with a picture of a nexus 5 with the wrong thickness measurement. so i had to dock them for semi false advertising.
the spigen and ringke were both $10 for me with shipping and handling included.
Has anyone bought a Ringke Slim case from Rearth and actually recieved their Nexus 5 yet?
How does it fit? Any comments/reviews would be fun to hear. I'm still waiting for both to arrive.

Do I really need a case?

Im ordering a Nexus 5 and I don't know if I should even buy a case. Im not a person who drops the phone a lot but I do put it on flat surfaces that made my GS3 scratch. Since both of the phones are practically plastic, I thought it might happen to the N5 as well.
I will get a screen protector for sure, but do I need a case?
Thanks.
If you drop it from any significant height it will damage.
I don't drop phones. So I'm going caseless most of the time. Out drinking though I have a neohybrid
As for scratches on flat surfaces, it's pretty tough and I wouldn't worry about it.

No you don't really need a case.
/thread.
it really depends what you do in the day...if say you are huddled over a desk from 9-5 then probably not; if you work in a hospital/clinic constantly moving around you should probably get one; if you go to the gym you should probably get one; etc. it depends on the person.
I am getting a Spigen screen protector and a case to use at the gym and if I'm going to be out doors where it might fall out of my pocket. Other than that, my lifestyle isn't such that I need one. I'm really just worried about the screen. If I damage the body, at some point there will be replacement parts and I can replace it.

Do you "need" a case, probably not. Should you have one? Yes! In my experience, I've always used a case and the one time I didn't I dropped my phone and scratched it all up. After I scratched it I quit using a case since it was already damaged and lover the naked feel. Although I'm using a case for this beauty of a phone for sho!

Just one drop and the phone went ugly, got a big deep scratch on the speaker grill
Since then I decided to always use case and screen protector as long as there's GRAVITY
So far Diztronic TPU protects my Panther Nexus 5 nicely
(also slimmest case compared to SGP Slim Armor/Caseology TPU, still waiting for my Ringke Hybrid case to be delivered).

Anyone running a case?

Hi All,
I am a S7 Active owner since launch day and really love the phone. Just curious if anyone is running a case or bumper-style case on the phone? I know the rubberized coating on the perimeter of the phone does a decent job, but if I could find something slim and good looking I may consider it just to protect from scuffing the perimeter and screen/back.
Chris
Cimo case here. love it. was getting rid of old phone stuff and came across some apple stickers; had to do it lol. nice slim tight fit, love it. also got glass screen protector which i highly suggest as the screen is polycarbonate plastic on top and WILL scratch easily.

Got a otterbox for it. The holder kinda sucks which can let the phone fall out in extreme situations and turns the phone into a bulky cumbersome brick but a indestructible cumbersome brick.
I am a case addict and have a case for every scenario:
Otterbox Defender for extreme scenarios.
BodyGuardz case for medium/heavy duty protection.
Body Glove for kickstand use.
SUPCASE UNICORN BEETLE for grip and fitted case (best all around). Pics below.
S5 Seidio holster for naked use.

I will be doing liquid screen protection, since I did my homework and read the countless reports of the overlay being prone to scratches. Beyond that, I might do a skin for the back/sides, but the phone seems bulky enough without adding a case.
I have a Poetic Affinity but rarely use it, I love way the phone feels without a case.

What do you guys think of the bolt cases?
I don't see myself using a case very often but it might be good for hiking/ hunting.

Cimo case here. love it. was getting rid of old phone stuff and came across some apple stickers; had to do it lol. nice slim tight fit, love it. also got glass screen protector which i highly suggest as the screen is polycarbonate plastic on top and WILL scratch easily.

You should have put the apple sarcastically "up side down" at least!

Holster used with SUPCASE is the Note 4 Seidio holster.

I am also using the SUPCASE UNICORN BEETLE and love it! Best all around case, so much so that I don't even look around any more! Easy to hold, great protection - front, back and edges, and slips in and out of my pockets without a lot of hassle!
I just went simple - TGSP and a clear TPU cover - "Fosmon DURA-T Slim TPU Back Cover Case". Paid less than $10 off amazon for both. The phone is sufficiently rugged on its own for my purposes, it was more about keeping it from looking like it went through a war zone.
What I particularly like about TPU covers is that they slide in and out of my pocket easily. nothing to grab my clothes with.
2 co-workers got the S7 active after I did - one had no intention of using a screen protector nor a case, but he's gotten some "microscratches" and is reconsidering. The other has gotten a couple very light scratches while waiting for the TGSP to come in, again from amazon.
Just next day'd " Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Case, Zizo [Bolt Series] " off Amazon (it looked the most rugged and thats what i was looking for) comes in tonight and I will try to write an update if I get a chance.
Got the case in, it's definitely rugged.
Audio jack is right next to the hanger clip which may make it difficult to insert head phones, but I only use blue tooth so that doesn't affect me.
The screen sealed on nice and over all the case fit real snug. I like it as of right now but will try to update once it goes through it's first real impact.... hopefully it does it's job.

Weird, all my buttons are easy to push... Maybe there is some accuracy issues in production? Because all these buttons are easier to push then the Defender series I had on my other phones.
Maybe the rubber button over the power button just needs to be broken in a little. Try taking the case off and pressing the button in and out a few times to make sure it is pressing easily and then placing it back on.
So far I really like this case... its holding up well for me and its really easy to grip... personally I thought I wouldn't like the lanyard that came with it... but now I keep it on at all times and it keeps me from misplacing my phone so often.
