Not able to flash stock firmware. - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hi,
My device is rooted with Pixel Experience ROM-Android Pie. I am not able to flash stock firmware on it.
Below are the errors :
Zip Treble Compatibility Error
Invalid Zip File Format
Error installing zip file
Right now I can only start up in TWRP recovery mode. Already formatted data, system, cache.
Please help.

Just use the latest dumplingfor OOS 9.0.8(from the forums) and flash it

Make sure you have the latest recovery installed. If you still can't flash it then use the unbrick tool to go full stock. That's guaranteed to work imo.

How can I reinstall the stock ROM through TWRP?

I was able to install Cyanogen 12.1 and Gapps but now I want to go back to the stock OS but it's not letting me.
This is what I'm doing. I' putting the "UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.97-user" zip file on my micro SD and on TWRP I wipe everything but the micro SD and then I try to install it and it loads for but then it says "Failed" in red. When I try to install the cyanogen and gapps zip files together it lets me but for this it doesn't. Am I installing the wrong file? I was told to download the latest firmware from ASUS Zenfone 2 website.
Downloads: (add h t t p : / / w w w . here)mediafire.com/folder/setyy42t2cymy#dy87k1a0f8m81
Download the latest recovery.img from the link provided (2.20.40.97 - ensure that the model matches your phone model), and flash it via fastboot.
After that, simply ADB sideload the firmware and you should be good to go!
P.S. I tried installing the stock ROM via TWRP multiple times, but all failed. The steps above are steps to flash back the stock recovery to flash the stock ROM back.

Update failed [Help].

Hi All,
Previously my op3 unlocked and rooted after some days i was flashed Freedom OS 1.7 (normal) build. Now i want go back to complete stock and unroot. I follow some of the guidance videos internet and followed ,
1. Restored my backup via twrp
2. Flashed Full rom OOS 3.2.6 via TWRP
3. Flashed stock recovery via ADB. Everything works fine but
Now i am trying to update 3.2.6 to 3.2.7 getting error " Installation Failed" . Whats wrong i did .
Also i have boot logo Freedom OS don't know even i am on stock rom. Can any one help me
1. How to remove that boot logo
2. Completely go back to stock rom with stock recovery
3. Also get updates and install without fail
Please help Guys.
Thanks in Advance
Mahesh
Well, probably its a problem with your boot.img partition. Extract boot.img from stock rom zip, then flash it via fastboot flash boot boot.img and then, flash orginal recovery same as boot. Then, finally, flash via recovery STOCK ROM. Probably now it will be fine.
If not, try flash TWRP and make FULL WIPE included system partition and repeat upper steps.
Cheers.
In twrp goto wipe and do normal wipe remember don't do advance wipe otherwise it'll format internal storage as well so avoid advance wipe only do normal wipe then install full 3.2.7 zip and super su. zip

before you flash 3.2.7 mount system read-only. you can do this under "mount"
it is a known bug with twrp and oxygenos
You can download the stock boot logo from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862664522

if you are on stock recovery you cant change the mounts.
flash twrp to flash bootlogo and oxygenos 3.2.7
otherwhise you have to install via sideload but this is very slow and you cant flash stock bootlogo
so flash twrp and then mount system read-only and then flash oxygenos 3.2.7 and after or before this you can flash the stock bootlogo

Roll-back is possible, but not like that.
To help or suggestions what you I can try. Will need to know what you flashed, where you flashed it, what was any message after or during flashing.
Also need to know if twrp also gives this type of message, or if it boots.
As far as link to Oreo stock images. Need to know what model and build number. (You know there are almost 10 model/region combo's and each has at least 3 builds)

Should have used hwota or hurupdater to flash the fullota, not extract the images, but too late for that.
Wow, what a mess.
For starters, to explain some of what seems to have happened.
Nougat and oreo have different partitions. Not only in name but also location.
Twrp cannot create any partition.
That being said, Oreo does not have a boot or recovery partition, so where did you flash the boot.img and recovery.img
It is obvious the stock recovery flash was not to "recovery_ramdisk" because twrp still working.
Not quite sure what parts were in you backup that you tried. And the " other zip " is a mystery.
I would think, since twrp is loading that using hurupdater might still be an option.
Thanks for your advice. Get back to system with oreo with the help of hurupdater.
1st i have no idea what is hurupdater is. But i Google for it. And now i am able use my mobile.
Thanks a lot

Back stock rom and preserve twrp ?

Hello ! I have an A70, I installed Havoc OS and it's.... well I dont like it. I want to back stock rom.
Can I flash stock rom via twrp ? (same way as I installed Havoc or lineage)
Can I flash ONLY system.img ?
My idea is to install stock rom and get root access with magisk at the end.
My problem is I cant find any good informations about that !
All I read is contradictory....
on guy say it's ok to flash only system.img via twrp, other guy say to flash boot.img +recovery.img+system.img and use Odin, never flash stock rom with twrp.
I just want to get back to stock rom and flash magisk again....
any help about the right procedure to install stock rom and flash magisk again ?
thank you....
I don't know about twrp, if you can use Odin it'd be better.

thank you for your answer.
1 - so if I use Odin, I just need to flash AP section ? Or the full firmware ?
2 - recovery will be back to stock too ?
I want to preserve twrp.
3 - I just need to fash twrp right after flash Ap.tar/full firmware ? (without reboot device between the 2 flash)
Right ?
need help to understand how flashing stock rom works (via Odin or twrp).
I already wiped data, system, cache partitions from twrp and now the phone only boot in twrp (the recovery) no system installed.
I just want to get back to stock rom (because I have NO system installed) with twrp which is patched with magisk ( to have root access) simple but I cant find the good procedure...
I am able to install Havoc or lineage, but they doesnt suit me.
I want to flash stock system only.... simple but no answer anywhere...
I can extract system.img.ext4.lz4 from the ap.tar. Then I extract system.img.ext4 from system.img.ext4.lz4.
And cant extract system.img from system.img.ext4 to flash it with twrp. I just miss this step and the answer is nowhere. Like the answer which files can be flash with twrp...
need procedure, every tuto is contradictory....

Flash every file that comes with the stock rom, that's how you get it back. I don't know about root, I'm not rooted.

I don't know of a way to flash stock using TWRP (and preserve TWRP).
Quickest way might just be to:
- Flash back to stock firmware using ODIN in Windows (phone in download mode). This will wipe everything of course, including TWRP (I found).
- Follow the unofficial TWRP installation for the A70 [RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL][ROOT] TWRP for Galaxy A70

How to get back stock color os recovery

I was unable to flash stock rom update(.ozip file) via TWRP recovery. I was also unable to flash stock recovery as any solid download tool was not available. I was also unable to retrieve the ota downloaded in /data partition(/data/Colouros/Ota), if I could that then using ozip decrypting tool, I could have converted the ozip to zip. What I did at the end I locked the bootloader back again which then wiped everything including twrp. I had to presse volume down button while it showed "Can't boot as the image is destroyed...". Finally the device booted me to the initial set up screen and the stock recovery was restored.
This process will erase everything in internal storage.
I posted this as I could not find anything with the link to restore stock color os recovery. I hope it might help somebody.

You have to download the stock ozip file from realme website(https://www.realme.com/in/support/software-update), then convert it to zip(https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-2-pro/how-to/convert-ozip-to-zip-installing-stock-t4065277), then flash it via twrp, remember to wipe data, as sometimes while reverting back to stock can cause issues, like screen freezing, unable to unlock phone, use subhams recovery(https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Hkv2i0xqzO7o7RrxoFNRHqKyK1Z6eDwD/view?usp=sharing) to flash the stock rom.

ozip is available from the website.
If you flash stock rom zip via twrp, twrp will remain, if you relock the bootloader, the phone will format automatically and stock recovery will come back.
