Fast transfer cable for 7P - OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories

So, anyone has any recommend for a cable that can reach 200MB/s transfer speed for 7p ?
Right im looking into the Anker USB C 3.1 Gen 2 and Amazon USB C 3.1 Gen 2 but idk if it support 7P
Any suggest ? Thnk

Honestly the warp cable that comes with the phone is very fast. I believe its rated fkr at least usb 3.0, could be wrong, but its blazing fast. The 7 pro's usb c is indeed usb 3.1 compatible though, so you may benefit from such a cable

Nah, the stock cable is USB 2.0 only, the average speed in transfer is like 25MB/s only

Is it? Huh. I may have to invest in a 3.0 cable. I guess Im used to my V30 and it being painfully slow at transfer speeds lol. Anyways, anker is definitely trustable in my experience, never had a bad product from them - in fact, one of my favorite cables from them Ive had for years and it has no fraying and doesnt even show signs of use. Realllllly long braided micro usb cable I use for my RPi from them.

i have used both Anker and Aukey cables for transfers, and i can say that the speed of copying a single large file is at approximately 350MB/s.

Recommendations for Micro USB cable for Moto G

I'm currently using Sony CP AD2 charger with the Moto G 1st Gen. The cable supplied by Sony is good enough to give an output of 1A (checked with the Ampere app). But since the cable provided was short, I started using a Belkin Mixit cable. It hardly gives 0.5 ampere output. Any recommendations for a good Micro USB cable?

yes, and no.
Any cable will be 'ok'... to make data transfert and 'slow charge'.
But to get the best out of the charger (and it is even more important on high lenght cables) the wire gauge is important:
the thicker it is the less you'll get resistance and energy loss.
a Samsung's USB cable made for fastcharge is great for that (though i bought both the cable (1.2m) AND the dedicated charger 5V/2A which is quite overkill for MotoG)

I back @matmutant. For data transfer, most cables won't make much of a difference. But for charging, yes it can make a significant difference. For the moto g, even if you use a higher guage wire, the stock moto kernel and the CM kernel doesn't support a high current off the USB 3.0 port of the computer from the looks of my experience (even thoughh USB 3.0 supports 2 amps). May be @matmutant can throw some more light on this topic.
So you can just get an AmazonBasics USB cable and be content. It supports a 1A max current. If you wan't something more future proof, the only certified 2A cable I know of available in India is the OnePlus' microUSB cable which is sold separately. If that is not available and you don't want to bother with much research, buy a 2A charger and use the cable included with it.

Regarding my tests, my Samsung wall charger gives up to 1200mA to the MotoG max (although the charger could go up to 2A and MotoG specs say it can handle up to 1.5A):
As usual, the charged device limits power to what it needs, but here i think that a 1A charger is enough as the power regulator (pm8226) used to charge the battery heats a lot at 1200mA ==> it shouldn't damage the device, but prevents from using it much while charging.
On computer, the device won't take more than 500mA, even on the 3.0 port (at least that's what happens on mine ).

I agree with what @matmutant and @pfufle have said. The Sony CP AD-2 charger I'm currently using gives maximum output of 1.21 A (checked with Ampere), and gradually decreases as the battery gets charged up fully. The actual output might be a little higher I guess.
So I'll stick with the AmazonBasics cable as @pfufle suggested. That should be enough for a quick charge.
@matmutant The micro USB port of the Moto G is based on USB 2.0 (if I'm not wrong), which is why the output limits itself at 0.5 A. If both ports are on USB 3.0, then the output increases to about 1 A.

Charging Speeds and Confusion

Hey guys! I've been a long time lurker and finally have decided to come out of the woods and get some help.
I'm looking to order all my accessories today however I want to make sure I'm getting what I need so I don't have to go back and buy different cords.
I guess my first question is: Will a USB C to USB C cable charge faster than a USB A to USB C cable? Or does it all depend on the wall/car adapter?
I was hoping to buy 3 USB C to USB C cable with an extra wall adapter and car adapter. The whole USB C and QC 3.0 discussion has confused me like many others. What do I need? This is what I was looking at getting:
Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB-C 2.0 Cable (3ft): (Can't post links...)
USB C Charger,Tronsmart 30W Dual USB Wall Charger with Quick Charge 3.0 Technology: (Can't post links...)
USB C Quick Charge 3.0 AUKEY Car Charger with Dual AiPower Ports: (Can't post links...)
Do all of these products seem that they would give me the best possible charging times and be safe to use with the HTC 10? I appreciate all the help!
Thanks much!
I'm using the Aukey in my car and it charges really quickly and the popup for rapid charging comes up.
Can't really recommend the others only the one I have.

So you use USB A to USB C? There won't be a noticeable difference between the charge times if using a USB C to USB C cable?
type a to c "may" limit speeds in some situations. like this car charger you wont get the quick charge from they type A to C but if you use the type c to c in the other port youll get the speeds with say these cables here
The phone can't support two USB specs simultaneously because that's a direct violation of the spec. If you use a C-C cable with a charger that outputs via QC 2.0/3.0 then it will charge at QC 2.0/3.0 speeds. On the other hand if you use a charger that is for the Nexus 5X/6P which outputs using the USB-C charging spec (5V/3A: 15W) then it will charge slowly at 1.5 A not fast charge. This is because it can only support one standard or the other no both, so I recommend just getting QC 2.0 or 3.0 chargers and use whatever port they offer. It could either use a conventional USB-A or the USB-C as long as you use the appropriate cable and the charger spec matches your phone (Qualcomm quick charge), then there won't be any issues.

Not a problem, I actually wrote up an OP showing the expected charging speeds via different charging methods across the devices that I own. QC 3.0 isn't faster than QC 2.0, but to conclusively prove that I will add a QC 2.0 test conducted with my HTC 10 to my OP linked below. Since I own a Nexus 6P, and S7 Edge so it's easier for me to test and check that which is why I mentioned it in my comment.
Here is the OP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/comparison-htc-10-qc-3-0-charging-test-t3377397

Efficiency. Nothing more, nothing less.
I can't understand where people have gotten the impression that QC 3.0 would somehow be faster than QC 2.0, with phones that is.

Qualcomm claimed that it was faster.
Even being more efficient, it should be at least a little faster and produce less heat... both of which are good things.

I posted a picture from Qualcomm where they state QC 3.0 is faster. In reality QC 3.0 is not faster, or even better from what I've seen so fsr. I didn't notice a difference in the amount of heat generated, technically the higher the volatge and lower the rate will result in a cooler phone but QC3.0 does the opposite.
Here is the slide from Qualcomm again where they say it's faster.
It's just 10% faster. You will be hard pressed to see these 10% in real life scenarios.
When they are saying it is less heat dissipation they are talking about the charger. The efficiency of power transfer is in the charger.

It doesn't even charge 1% faster, in fact it's slower. There wasn't a noticeable difference in heat when I tested it. I didn't actually measure the temperature because I don't think an app will accurate depict the temps, but I can to see if it is cooler. QC 3.0 isn't all its hyped up to be unless something changes I don't think it's really all that great.
I tested out of curiosity the charger from the Note4 (QC2.0) and it is fast as well .. but I could not see any noticeable difference. ... Then again, my phone is just 4 days old so the battery is not up to speed (it requires about 5-6 cycles for a Li-Ion to get to the full potential). Maybe you are right, maybe I'm right .. I do not know yet.
However, if I reach a definitive conclusion with my gear I'll post it here.

Can i use VOOC 5V-5A Charger?

Hello friends, in my country there is no Dash charger from official oneplus. but there are some oppo's vooc charger available. as far as I know vooc charger works in 1+3.
and there are two types of charger from oppo.
1. 5v-4a (same as dash charger)

so if I use the 5v-5a charger would it harm my device? would you recommend it?

I'm afraid using an adapter would kill your charging speed (reduce to normal speeds).
You need compatible cable for DASH/VOOC speeds - mainly because they are thicker than normal ones. Well, any standard micro USB to Type-C is not designed for such high amperage and it becomes the weak link here. The phone will think you're using a normal cable and won't pull more than 1.5A through.
Tl;dr: you need a DASH/VOOC Type-C cable, no adapters.

I don't have any charger actually, I use my laptop to charge it which is very slow, and I don't want my laptop on for whole night. so I needed a charger badly. as there is no dash cable here I have to order it and as for now have to use the ordinary usb-c cable for the phone.
You can use any wall charger with 1a, 2a. It will not charge Fast as Dash, but faster than the laptop.

Lindy 5A/10GBPS/USB 3.1 Gen 2 (3.2 Gen 1) Cable availability

I have a Rexin charger that I got from amazon for ~$22 that Warp charges.
looking for a cable support warp charge is not hard
but a cable support both warp charge and 10 Gbps is hard
i just ordered this https://www.cablematters.com/pc-890...-c-to-usb-a-gen-2-10-gbps-cable-33-ft-1m.aspx to test the 10 Gbps, but this cable only support 15W

This cable from Titacute worked great for me. It's 6-ft long, and data-transfer and warp charging works perfectly!
However, I used it with the original charger after I lost my cable. Cannot really say how well it will work with an aftermarket charger without knowing the specifications of the charger itself. That being said, if the charger you buy has the same specs as the one by OnePlus, then the cable should serve you well.
Hope this helps.

Your totally right I should have added 0's there so 500 and 100 MB/s
https://www.cablematters.com/pc-890...-c-to-usb-a-gen-2-10-gbps-cable-33-ft-1m.aspx
because the copy speed didnt show so i dont know the speed
i copy same file from my phone to my Surface Pro 5, file size 2GB, from phone -> SP took 25s, from SP -> phone took 15s, so basically 90MB/s ~ 130 MB/s
but when i use this cable with my SSD with my SP, the speed reach ~300MB/s
so.... i dont know, apparently 7P only support 5Gb/s, on theory lol
maybe i need to test with another computer

USB type C to type C on motherboard with N10+

Hey guys.
Can I use cable which came with my charger (not sure if it's OEM Samsung one, suppose so) which is type C on both ends to transfer files between cellphone and my motherboard which has type C port on back of it, without a risk of damaging cellphone?
I'm an idiot using Bluetooth to share 4K video files but it's daaaaamnnn slow just because I'm anxious that somehow the short could damage the phone.
Never used type C on my MoBo (Formula VIII) and I have scond PC which has type C port on the case and on the motherboard too (Crosshair Hero VIII).

Dont use it to update or flash. otherwise file transfer and dex are ok. If you use to to flash beware, the note hates thunderbolt and USB-C

Nope, just to transfer files, but I got issue first time that somehow it got disconected though I haven't touched nor cable nor phone, phone was lay down on bed.started transfering and then it got disconnected, probably cable is issue, bending, flexing etc...
I'm not even sure if I got brand oem cable since it's yellowish but it could be from tobacco smoke ofc...

That is usually a driver issue. It happens. The most stable is definitly a USB 3 to USB-C cable, get a properly shielded one and it goes smoothly.
It's either on Thunderbolt or the Samsung/Windows Driver. This is a known issue with some laptops.

How will I know it's shielded?
Where does it make difference compared to regular one?
I have the one which came with my Ulefone Power 5S it's type C to type A,kinda very thick cable.
But affraid to use it since it's not Samsung one.

If it's thick it's probably well rated and shielded. Xiaomi for example have great cables. The shielding is to reduce possibility for external signal influence. Think of it this way :
Power delivery can vary from 15watts to a lot (100 for example) - charging is specific and in these cases when using a power brick avoid non standard cables - always check if it's thick and have 2 lightning bolts on both USB ends- the lightning bolts are Thunderbolt PD delivery logos and are rated for high power delivery.
Try and always use original cable for power delivery (charging) as an accident with a non manufacturer cable can void your warranty and may not allow you for a claim. Always check on the box if you buy new, the wattage supported 15 to 100 watts in cases.
Data transfer is less of an issue since usually there is no power delivery a usb 3 cable is rated at most for 15watts max. but data transfer does not pass power on the cable. if it's thick it will be shielded and will only use the data transfer channels, not power.
Can I picture you the charger and you tell me if it's OEM or fake?
Btw so can I use cables for other brands for transfering files, such you mentioned (Xiaomi),or any other good quality usb 3.0 to type C cable?
So how will I know the cable is good quality,by the thickness?

Use short, quality cables; the longer the cable the more suspectable to noise and interference it is.

Don't know, mine are both type C connectors.
Any cable will slow charge.

Sure, tranfering data is no issue, just avoid the C port for the moment until PD delivery is standardized. PD delivery has too many options and is not standard between brands.

what is PD Delivery, and why to avoid type C cable, don't understand?
It will either fast charge or not.
Get OEM bricks/cables and there's no fast charging issues.
No issues ever though with the Samsung ones.
For slow charging and data transfers any quality 3ft cable will do.
Longer cables tend to fail quicker and cause problems that outweighs their convenience.
