I am also new to this so I suggest you ask for help in the post from where you downloaded the pie rom and if you are desperate to get your phone, there is always one last option, that is unlocking your bootloader/rooting but before that ask for help as I told above. Sorry for the bad English.

Need help about 6.0.1 update.

Well I bought my zenfone 2 it's been 1 year ago, and on the end of 2016 I rooted it because I don't had hope on 6.0.1 update anymore since it was full of bugs. I still on 5.0 and now I want to update to 6.0.1 but I don't know how. My bootloader is unlocked and I have TWRP I was planning on flash the stock recovery and then push the update but there is the problem. Can I update with unlocked bootloader? Or I'll need to lock it again then update? I really can't bare with the 5.0 firmware anymore and I need to update. But since I don't have a constant access to a computer I don't want to brick my phone.
Yes, I tried search for tutorials online but all I get is how to unlock bootloader on zenfone 2 on the 6.0 firmware and how to root it..but I don't get none answer to my question so I hope someone here can help me.

Moto Z Play Nougat 7.1.1 OTA update error

Hello Everyone! I received the OTA update for Nougat 7.1.1 today. The download completes without any issue. But once I restart, for a second the android update starting logo appears and immediately the android character appears with an error sign. When I reboot I am taken to 7.0 and I get a notification saying that the update was unsuccessful. What should I do? I tried this for 3 times and my net is really slow and I have already wasted over 3GB. Please help!
Try clearing the System Cache.
If your bootloader is unlocked, the system update will fail. I'm not sure if your bootloader is unlocked though
I'm having that same issue as Raja37. I never unlocked the bootloader either.
Yes my bootloader is unlocked. Is there any way to relock it?
My bootloader is unlocked and the 7.1.1 update applied just fine.
I don't know what happened to my device.
we can't relock, only service centers can, bcz moto do not provide publicly signed rom

Any way to update rom with bootloader that can't be unlocked?

Hi
I was trying to unlock the bootloader of my son's G5 XT1675 phone so so I could flash TWRP and updated the ancient 7.0 Jan-17 patch level, but Motorola says it needs the attention of a service centre, due to this:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data returns "Unlock data unavailable"
So given it's remaining locked, are there any options for updating the phone?
It appears that this Moto is difficult to flash compared to my previous Samsungs with Odin etc.

You can just flash the whole firmware or can use the ota to update it. You can find ota and firmware update in guide with details.
Thanks, I've since had some success with sideloading OTA images but have hit a brick wall where updates are no longer available.
Which other methods do not need an unlocked bootloader? It's often unclear from the instructions and I don't know what "just flash" means.

You can flash any firmware that is the same or newer than what you are currently using via fastboot
Download the entire firmware - put your phone in bootloader mode and then connect to pc and flash the firmware via terminal/cmd commands
Google how to flash moto g5 firmware

Tried downgrading my Mi Mix 2, have I broke my phone?

Hello. So, i have used the xiaomi.eu Android 9.0 ROM for a couple of days now. I saw that the new update is available, so I downloaded and installed it. However, this update boot looped my phone. I decided to flash the Global 8.0 version, knowing that I can do that since the phone doesn't have protection against downgrading.
Now however the phone is giving me security messages about 'find my phone' and "couldn't check secure device info". I could live without having to log in to my Mi account, however since downgrading my Wi-Fi doesn't work at all, and I am unable to get my phone verified to unlock the bootloader to flash the Android 9.0 ROM back (since it cannot check the secure device info). Is there anything that I can do?
I tried downloading the Open Beta ROM from here and installing it through the updater app, however the phone throws up an error about different Android versions.

I tried, however I got the message erase boot error. I'm guessing this is because my bootloader has been locked.
You can't use miflash with locked bootloader.Unlock and flash trough fastboot
Hi , try this method https://en.miui.com/thread-1351514-1-1.html, fix for me , but if you scary , unlock your bootloader first look at here https://c.mi.com/thread-1635834-1-1.html but never never relock the bootloader , you'll brick phone , if one day you use miflashtool choose "clear all" don't forget that
try this:

Bricked Mi 10T - Bootloader Re-Locked - MIUI 13

I have a Mi 10T purchased in Italy, and therefore coming factory loaded with a "branded" firmware RJDEUHG. It should be a Windtre modded ROM, please correct me if I'm wrong.
The latest known working ROM was the miui_APOLLOEEAHGGlobal_V12.5.3.0.RJDEUHG_da9e1c75b5_11.0.
Tired of waiting for the slow updates, compared to the unbranded global rooms, I decided to de-brand the phone and upgrade to a stock RJDEUXM.
But none of the XM firmware would load from recovery, therefore I applied and successfully unlocked the bootloader.
With the bootloader unlocked I managed to successfully flash
apollo_eea_global_images_V13.0.2.0.SJDEUXM_20220329.0000.00_12.0_eea_ad6f7ce846
apollo_eea_global_images_V12.5.12.0.RJDEUXM_20220208.0000.00_11.0_eea_664a15ed19
but both got stuck in a bootloop right after flashing.
During one of the many attempts, I used the MiFlash tool and accidentally left the default Flash & Lock option, the flashing was successful and the bootloader was locked.
At the moment I'm on V13.0.2.0.SJDEUXM, and can load onto bootloader and recovery, while, as mentioned before, the system won't load and get stuck in bootloop.
If I try to unlock the bootloader once again, the MiUnlock does not recognize the phone while in fastboot mode, remaining in the "Not connected to the phone" screen.
Any help would be really appreciated.
maybe, this is the solution, seems the same issue

fastboot devices
fastboot continue
if you have some lucky, boot normally
