Sweet, but anyone know the difference between the 8996 and 8996 pro CPU roms?
Can either rom be used or do you need a specific device?

I agree but I think they probably pushed out what they had at the time...
It was a large amount of waiting for this device, around 6 months from showcase to release....
The person I bought my phone off said it was because ASUS had some supply problems back in August/September., though that could've just been to fob me off too....
Though saying that I really had to pick and choose. Over here in Oz the Zenfone 2 was ever really released, not in stores or through the telco's so this awesome phone won't even get a 2 second blurb in any of the media again... So much for local warranty.....

Should i wait for honor 7x?

Hi, i'm looking forward to buy the honor 6x, but should i wait for the 7x announcement? How would i wait the phone to be released in my country (italy) with the national warranty? And, i found the 32 gb version at 200 and the 64 one at 230, do you think the 7x will be around the same price? I mean, not above 250.
thanks a lot
If you want a little bit faster of a phone, go for the 7x. But if you want a phone with room support already then go with 6x. Also if 7x has oleophobic and hydrophobic coating then I would go for 7x because 6x doesn't and 6x's glass is weak.

I want a "future proof" phone, and 6x was nice, but looking at the upcoming devices it maybe can be wise to wait. ..How about the price?
Go for 7x if it comes with full vision display otherwise go for mi a1 or moto g5s plus

I would say you should wait for it.
better to wait and you may get something new in 7X.
Of course. Bigger aspect ratio, better SOC, I would also expect better battery.

Don't think they will launch 7x in this price as if they do, they will ruin the sell of 6x which is still under a year from its launch globally. (Launched on 3rd January).
And 6X is selling in high in global market with some boom in India due to one or the other discounts on Amazon and Flipkart due to festive season. It was on 50% discount on honor store.
By launching 7X in this price, they wont ruin the honor 6x sell. There will be atleast, atleast $30-50 USD difference for sure. And you know, the out of the box OS is almost perfect for the phone because it is tested and optimise for the phones and the application installed so Nougat on 7x will be much better than 6X and then nobody will buy 6x.
Sale kinda this..so definitely not the same price for 6x and 7x as 6x is still their most selling phone in mid range.

this phone vs pixel 4xl?

Just wondering if anyone else was struggling with the decision to get the 70 versus the 4XL. I am on Verizon, grandfathered unlimited data. All I care about is having an unlocked phone. I'm currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and ready for an upgrade, but not sure which direction to go. What are your guys thoughts? All I really care about is having a fast phone with a good battery

Just curious, why do you think that? One plus should have better or equivalent specs
Honestly if camera is super important to you, go pixel hands down. If you just wanna be a spec fanatic, OnePlus.
Personally, I'll always go pixel simply because specs aren't everything. Just something to brag about.
Pixel 4 will have the better camera. At least this time they're also going with 6gb ram. Just comes down to pricing.

People already complaining about the 7T. I might wait for Xiaomi Mi 10 tbh and use it until late 2022
If I can't wait I might just get Galaxy Note 10 (non plus).

People don't like the camera hump for example and that the OnePlus 7 Pro is an overall better phone.

For what it offers its fantastic, unless you are a camera enthusiast.
Camera on pixel will be sublime. Perfect colour reproduction.
But battery (so long as you can deactivate ,90hz)
Will be superior on the OnePlus.
Pixels always have crap battery.

If I can get a new OnePlus 7 Pro 6GB for the same retail price as the new OnePlus 7T 8GB (₹38k), which one would be better? At the same time I can get the new 7T for less than ₹ 32k. Please note:
7 Pro - 6GB - 855 for ₹ 38k
7T - 8GB - 855+ for ₹ 32k

The McLaren edition will have 12GB I'd assume and that will affect battery life, complete overkill, 6GB is probably more than enough, 8GB is the sweet spot and honestly the most I'd get in a phone for now at least, unless the battery was substantially larger and apps actually utilized it which at the moment they just don't.
If it's also 5G then it'll greatly affect battery life.
The range on 5G and ability to pass through walls etc is awful, so if the phone is forcing power to the antenna to get a good connection your battery will deplete a lot faster.
4G and 8GB is perfect.

Question Should I buy this phone for the camera or is there a better alternative at that price?

Should I buy this phone for the camera or is there a better alternative at that price?
I am not a hardcore gamer but performance is also a factor for me. TIA.
Meh, I'd rather go for a Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G. It's cheaper as well.

I have had the Mi 10 Lite 5G. A good phone but Poco F3 will have much better support for Gcam. Would definitely go for F3 over Mi 10 Lite.
Mi phones are a hit or miss. But GCam can solve those problems
This is not a camera phone, your best bet for a camera phone with performance is the Samsung S20 FE.
Otherwise you're asking for too much at this price range, you need to spend on a flagship phone like the Mi 11 if you want all the bells and whistles.
You either get a good camera in the Redmi Note 10 Pro but average performance or your get the Poco F3 which has the performance but just average camera at this budget oriented price range.

Nono, Mi 10 Lite 5G. Look up reviews on the phone. Read about it. Look at the prices.
I am pretty sure it's precisely what you need. Fast CPU, good camera, low price.
Though, the choice is yours. Only you know what suits you.

The camera is good. I've installed ArrowOS on it with gcam. Using it as a second phone.
How ever, it is a budget phone. It has a low price for a reason. At the same time, for that price, the camera is good.
The Poco F3 costs about twice as much as the Mi 10 Lite 5G.
At that price you are better off buying a used Xiaomi Black Shark 3. Superior camera, superior speed cpu/gpu, superior most of everything.
