X2 Vs X2 pro - Realme X2 Questions & Answers

Does anyone else feel that X2 offers more value for money than X2 Pro or is it just me?
I mean the difference in performance between 730g and 855+ is very little and shouldn't hold anyone back from having a smooth performance on both SoCs.
Same goes with 90Hz display, you'd probably see a little more smoother transition but so little that you won't even notice that in daily usage.
Any other major difference worth paying about $170 more?
For me, it was the back panel design that killed my desire to buy X2 Pro.

I am planning on getting Realme X2 there will be no real-life difference in opening apps
apart from heavy gaming which could still be in split second. I don't plan to do heavy video editing on phone either so I'll say,
Yes, stick with X2 that ~$200 more is not worth it at all.
Oh! and that Logo placement on the X2 pro WTF!!!

I agree with you, also.
I've almost decided to buy the Realme X2 to replace my Nokia 7+, in my case the X2 Pro isn't suitable because of the lack of MicroSD slot and it's 150 € more for a marginally better SoC, Screen, quick charge and cameras.
Regards!

I was torn betwixt the X2 and X2 Pro, but upon looking at things more closely I think I also will be going for the X2 and saving a bit of money. Besides, I don't use my phones for gaming so the 855+ and 90Hz screen may be a tad overkill for me just using it phone, take photos and run apps.

It was the dedicated SD Card Slot for me.

I agree but it was the lack of dedicated SD Card slot in the Pro that was the deciding factor in my decision to by the X2.
What's the point of having a dual SIM phone if you need to use the second slot for memory? I love that the X2 has 3 slots instead of only 2 with one being a hybrid.

Was looking at the pro till I realized this is just better value,
Currently contemplating my next move,

X2 has dual SIM
PLUS
SD-Card Slot
The most important feature ever. Yet so few phones have it nowadays.

Yea,this a big advantage and the SD 730g is no slouch.Just Wondering about the cameras, how different ate they, seems 8mp instead of 13mp on one of the lenses(can't find definitive answer online).
But you get a 32mp front camera on the x2.
I guess your just missing out on the nice features of the pro,UFS 3.0,dual speakers,90hz,but is that even that important in 2019

For me two things are very important:
GCAM and Support from XDA.
I had a MI8 SE and it suffers this kind of problem.
I will wait a little bit more to see if X2 will have roms to be ported and if the support for GCAM will be good.

Hi guys sobI wanted to buy a phone around $300 and i've (almost) decided on X2. I will be probably ordering it from the EU site. Have anyone got theirs already? How is it? How's the sound quality on headphones? And overall feeling?

Having done research I think you might want to get a Mi 9T just for the better software and camera processing, the x2 does have an SD slot but other than that I think it's probably a weak phone for daily use. Ive heard reports the x2 screen is poor, not very bright.

https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/realme-x2-global,realme-xt-730g-india-8gb-128gb
Basically we wait till the "Realme XT 730G" releases in India and BAM we get custom ROM support.
Its the same phone.

Your statement does not appear to be confirmed in actual test results (from 5 minutes onward):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bmQpNkoh3w
Even if you don't understand Spanish, the test results are labeled, so it's easy to see which camera is which. Overall, as a photographer, I give the win to Realme. And if video is your thing, then really, you are wasting your money on a Mi 9T, since the Realme makes intelligent use of it's gyro sensors to give 1080p footage that rivals putting your phone on an actual gimbal (such as DJI Osmo, for example). It's not quite as good, but speaking as an owner of various gimbaled devices, it's about 80% there.

I thought that x2 EU 8gb ram 128 gb storage ufs 2.0 for 279euro is the best deal, but I bought x2 pro EU 12 gb ram 256 gb ufs 3.0 for 449euro. The reasons:
the biggest and the fastest storage x2 ufs2 x2 pro ufs 3.0
display is the same as oneplus 7t
Dolby stereo sound
One of the fastest chargers 50w
Better camera
Better build quality
For me this is the phone of the year

Was close to pulling the trigger on that over the weekend with that deal but didn't because not sure about the software and future software support,
Definitely by specs it is the flagship killer phone of the year,
If I could get the 8/128 model for around €400 I might consider that because even at 449 for 12/256 it was costing about 470 to 480 to get delivered from amazon Spain to where I am

Color OS 7 is coming, may be in 2-3 months, It will be something like Oxygen, a bit worse but very close. There is gcam 7.2 for Color OS 6. I've paid 449 euro plus 11.6 euro delivery. Great blackfriday deal, thank you Amazon.es.
X2 is good deal, but x2 pro 256 is almost oneplus 7T with more storage for me fantastic deal.

I'm agree with you.i am also think that Realme X2 is better than X2 pro.perfomance not like very big difference in X2 and X2 pro.But Budget have big difference..That's why i prefer for buying Realme X2.

Agree,
The only practical difference between these two devices is one x2 pro is more gamer focused than x2.
But x2 is half the price of pro so its more value for money than pro

Woah! Windows Phone roms??! That sounds fantastic... But compared to your 4gb device, how will the 2gb one fair? I do basic multitasking, multimedia browsing and my Z1C's 2gb has served me well though...
P.S. My budget doesn't grasp the 4gb model

lol, no desktop Windoze... not windows phone Please see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/zf2-running-windows-7-using-kvm-t3153299
tbh? I'm sure the 2gb phone will be fine for most anything. I have yet to find any apps that don't work on my ZF2 & most Android apps are NOT going to use 2 gigs of ram.
Don't think you'll have any problem with the 2GB version. Is it the 1.8ghz or the 2.3ghz model? Again, it shouldn't make a huge difference - the two chips have identical architecture, the same base speed and the same gpu. The only difference is the higher spec one can turbo higher in bursts. There are some corners cut to sell a device as cheaply as the Zenfone range, but powerful performance isn't lacking, and though it is a low to mid-range device I believe you get more than you pay for and it punches above it's weight. I came from an iPhone 5 to my Zenfone ZE550ML and I love it.

I understand the ZF2's stance in the high-mid range of the market however I'm concerned whether the ZF2 will be a downgrade from my Z1C... I'm particularly hoping the ZF2 as similarly snappy and capable as my Z1C but with the advantages that come as a phone thats released this year as opposed to the 2013 Z1C.
Also the Z1C has an amazing camera that has served me well. How's the ZF2's camera?
Well, benchmarks suggest the Zenfone 2 has quite a big performance advantage over your Z1C, and most users on here will probably tell you that it is very smooth and snappy to use in real everyday usage too. The camera on the Zenfone has its detractors, but mostly they are comparing it to things like the Galaxy S6 or iPhones. It is not perfect by any means, but a capable camera given the price. All reviews I have read pretty much slate the Z1/Z1C's camera though, so you might find that the Zenfone's is at least on a par.

Oneplus3 vs xiaomi mi5s plus, which one to get?

Hey guys, I'm really frustrated about this. I know oneplus 3 is a great smartphone. With a couple of problems. Like storage battery and camera. There are various other options out there too especially mi5s plus. Having snapdragon 821, more battery, 6gb of ram ,better camera and more storage 128 gb for almost the same price. Availability is not a problem as I'm in China. So guys please help and guide me about what should I do and what will be the better buy.
the camera of op3 is great. it's awesome. the real problem is people; they don't know how they can take good pictures with it. Most of the time, the photos of op3 are even sharper than S7 Edge pics...
with manual photography option you can take even more great pictures.
OP3 is a Leader in performance. you can compare it to everything (except iphone). The Dev Support of OP3 is just incredible. and don't forget about price...
So i can clearly tell that Oneplus 3 is sort of best android phone you can buy right now... don't let people and reviews fool you...
Which country do you live in and does the Mi5S support LTE there? Here in the US, no LTE at all.
i have the same question right now...
the only thing that make me hesitating about Xiaomi
is:
1- its not fully supporting all LTE frequency in France as Oneplus 3
2- it based on marshmallow 6.0 while Oneplus 3 on 6.0.1
while for Xiaomi
1- newer processor 821 vs 820
2- faster charge
3- bigger storage 128 vs 64
4- 2 cameras of 13mb vs one 16mb
5- bigger battery 3800 vs 3000
for price, it does not make that difference 2500 CNY vs 2600 CNY in china (375 $ vs 390 $)... 15$ !!!!!!
for warranty, in Europe, we don't have official dialer for both of them
for support, both of them supported by XDA
for both of them, as i live in Europe, i have to buy it through internet dealer
but this is not a problem for you since you are already in China

Yeah I know, ofcourse but the real problem is the storage. And the new xiaomi mi5s plus is the new leader in performance it's benchmark has landed it above even the one plus 3 and the dual camera setup takes way better pictures. But there is OIS in it and the design and finger print reader makes me a little worried in buying it.

OMG borther!!!
Same thinking, but I actually think the fast charging on op3 is alot better and the fingerprint reader seems to be faster then 5s plus. Also the design the main thing that is making me think the decision of buying plus. I really love op3 but this storage is really making me think. As 5s plus is almost the same price for double the storage with better performance and camera. I hoped that they would make the 5s plus also look a little better in term of design.
You know I have Mi5s plus and I don't observe any lags in finger scanning. Also it is located in Perfect place. I had S7edge and Home Button sometimes got me frustrated. And about LTE800- yes it is a bit confusing to go outside of big cities and have only UMTS speed. But for me is not a very big issue because I dont transfer huge files over mobile data. The big problem is OTG support - it is not supporting external hdd drives and even ssd disks. I used sucessfully only pendrive with 64gb- this is the thing which gives Mi5s plus a big minus. Rest are Perfect.

What is the biggest difference between OnePlus 3 and Oneplus 5

hi, dear all
if anyone can tell the biggest difference between Oneplus 3 and Oneplus5 ?
Gsmarena will tell you much better than us I think, there is a great comparison tool
I'd say the most strikingly obvious one would be the camera setup: the rear camera sports a dual-camera setup and the front camera has an upgraded specs in it (though I cannot speak for their quality since I have never personally tried them myself).
Going down from camera, there isn't much of a difference; The usual specs bump are there: new SoC (Snapdragon 835 vs OnePlus3's Snapdragon 820), more storage capacity which also happen to have more RAM (as long as you pick the 8/128 model).
If you're going WAY down, you can also spot upgrades like Bluetooth 5.0, the same battery capacity as the OnePlus 3T, and a very minor dual LED flash which upgrades over the single LED flash of the OnePlus 3.
Oh and of course, the updated design, but that's obvious.
Long story short, camera and SoC. With OP5 also being a bit more expensive.
If you're shopping, I'd say forget both and go for the new 5T (if budget allows). That screen alone is worth it. If not, you can't go wrong with either of older ones.

Initial Impressions/Opinions ?

So I've been eyeing this phone for a few weeks now,I was going to get the 9t last year but didn't and I ended up getting the X2 pro which for the most part has been an excellent device and obviously much more powerful,
I'm someone who gets bored of my phone and regularly change it at least every 2 years.
The X2 pro is good in every department but the camera let's it down a lot and the 4000mah battery is decent but it can run down fairly quickly,
The software is actually good on the Realme,
Would I be crazy to straight swap my X2 pro for a mi 10t lite,
Things I like about it are:
the Sony 64mp camera
Big 2 day battery
I like iPS screens and 120hz sounds good
I'm interested to try MiUI
There are dual speakers,
Basically it has all the essential things I would need
And I'm not a gamer but do browse a lot of social media and web ,news etc.
Has anyone moved from a more powerful device to the mi 10t lite ?
What are your impressions so far ?
Or is anyone considering it ?
Am I stupid/crazy to want to move to this Perhaps lower end device ?

Definitely a great deal and a solid device especially at that price point,I had purchased the 6/128 model on Amazon for £250 but later cancelled because I wasn't too sure on it.
I don't see any reason now to pay 500+ for a phone when devices like these are being released.
I will hang on to my 1 year old X2 pro tho for a while and keep an eye on Xaoimis releases

Got mine last week too directly from xiaomi, so far im very impressed. comming from a one plus 6 with lineage installed wasnt too sure how id like it but im happy enough for now, until lineage is avaliable for it anyway also hope to find cases for it on ebay soon
Coming from a redmi note 5 pro
And before that a one plus one.
Like the screen blacks. Still I think not comparable to op1.
Cameras. I've always been disappointed with cameras. This one looks ok. Esp the macro
Works fine no glitches.
But heavy. Soo heavy. Can't get used to it. That was the last phone I buy over 180 grams ever.
I am still impressed every day (coming from a bq Aquaris X).
One week with it and I keep struggling with communications. Wifi and Bluetooth stability trouble. Trying to find solutions, but it's not what I expect when I buy a new phone. So I'll try to fix things if possible this weekend and if not, I'll send it back to Amazon. Quite disappointed at this moment. It seems a good phone for the price but tired to lose my time. I need it to run flawlessly.

Interesting comment. While I think 6.3" and 186 g can be handled (I have a RN7) I'm unsure if the "now standard" 6.7" and ~215 g are a good daily companion (because of the better CPU/SOC etc. I plan to upgrade sooner or later). At least I hope this is the limit and we do not get 7" Phablets as standard Smartphone size soon. I remember when people complained about everything bigger then 4.5"

Question So... Who's as excited as I am for this ?

This phone is a massive 90° turn for google as much on the software side than the hardware.
SO let me know:
1- Are you excited for the GP6 Pro?
2- Do you plan on buying it?
3- What the feature, following the leaks and the I/O that you anticipate the most?
For me :
1- YESSSSSS!!!!!!! (see the title)
2- I'd love to, I'll wait though. I want to see the firsts feedbacks before buying one.
3- To me, the whitechapel SoC really picked my interest a lot. It will either be a deception or a big nice surprise, don't disappoint me Google!
Yes, sort of.
Maybe. I have the Pixel 5: a meh phone, with useless VZ 5G so I turned it off. The only things I'm happy with are battery life, weight/portability, and that I didn't upgrade my plan to a 5G plan.
New in-house chip. I'm not holding my breath on "new and improved" because Google tends to let everyone down prior to announcement, so I'm expecting the same here.
Edit: To be fair, I flipped flopped on buying the Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra for the camera. What keeps me with Pixel is their call screening. There's been so many of them, the call screening is the best.
I'm buying it the second it's ready!
I'm not excited bcz it has the same 8mp periscope that Vivo, Realme or ZTE etc are using

Lol and that shows some ignorance. Those other phones don't use Google's software processing for photos. And that's a HUGE deal.

We can atleast have GCam on other 8mp periscopic phones to get a similar output like GP6 pro. Hence wanted Google to have its in-house sensor or atleast get one from other sensor makers specifically for GP6 pro. PS: those other phone can atleast have GCam and I didn't ignore this.
I'm gonna buy it as soon as I can. I am still running my Pixel 2XL.
1- Yes, finally the Pixel phone we were waiting for.... Hopefully
2- Day One
3- Combination of the Whitechapel SOC and Camera setup. Still not the same amount as the 21 Ultra, one thing Google knows is how to get the best out of hardware they go with. We are talking about the potential capability of iPhone structure but with more modern tech throughout the phone.
I'm very excited as I am for most Pixel releases. I am buying the second it becomes available. I'm afraid if I wait, with the chip shortage, I might miss out if I don't act fast. I am really excited about the new chip and, hopefully, tight integration between software and hardware. I am also really excited for the triple camera setup. Between the nearly 1" sensor, higher resolution and Googles image processing software I am fully expecting them to retake the photo crown back from Apple.
I would like to see eSIM availability on day one. One National carrier, and eSIM for spare carrier/international travel. I sold my Samsung S21+ Unlocked because I couldn’t activate an eSIM!
I have currently a Oneplus 8 Pro. Camera is very average, with Android 11 they moved further away from stock Android, Updates come very slow now that there are newer Oneplus devices (had november security patch until mid february, then we got january patch instead of february...)...
I am so excited for Pixel 6 Pro, as this phone is finally a pixel phone that seems to make no compromises:
Tripple cam
Big Battery
120 hz
Great performance chip (not a hardcote gamer, so must not be top notch for me)
New camera senors...!
I think Pixel 6 Pro will crush it this year.. looks like a S21 Ultra with clean Android.. !! Nice!
But i guess the price tag will be huge, around S21 Ultra launch price (maybe just a little less)
I'm not excited. Mainly because ever since I bought the Pixel 1 and loved it, and used it until a year ago when I got a 512 GB Samsung, I was anticipating getting a 256 GB Pixel as my next upgrade once one was available. I waited four years and now, though, I wouldn't upgrade to another Pixel unless it had 512 GB of internal storage (or have a Micro SD slot, which won't happen with the Pixel). I like my music local and in FLAC, and have my entire library with me. I'm happy that they've finally decided to have 256 GB of storage as an option, but that just won't cut it for me anymore.
I'm extremely apprehensive about this, on one hand it's possibly the flagship Pixel that we've always wanted. On the other hand, it's running a custom chipset that's based on exynos. What does that mean for root access? It seems like exynos chips are always running behind on getting rooted and are generally less efficient than their Snapdragon counterparts. That's complicated by the fact that it's basically a bespoke chip now just for pixel phones.
We'll see, I'm currently holding on with my OnePlus 6t, but OP is dead to me going forward. I was planning on definitely switching to Pixel, but now I'm waiting to see how much access the dev community has to the device

Yes, Oneplus is really not what it once was anymore.
For Exynos Chipset: the exynos Chipset in the S21 Series is great. It is about on the same level than the Snapdragon. Some people even claim it has better battery life and doesnt heat up as much than the Snapdragon version.
Since the Pixel 6 Chip seems to be based on this Exynos Chip with some minor changes, i am sure it will be great!!
It is the first Exynos phone i would buy.
The difference between exynos and snapdragon s21 is not noticable anymore. I m pretty sure that performance and battery will be great.

True, while the gap is closing, there is still a gap. That's really not my main holdup, it's getting root without losing too many features.
Google has been tightening the reins on Android for years. Hopefully we will get full root access without many sacrifices, just need to wait and see
The last google phone I purchased was the Nexus 4 at release, then later I got a Nexus 9. The Pixel series has never interested me, especially design wise. If the P6P's renders are accurate it'll be my 1st google device in years.
I've been running Samsung devices the past few years because no Pixel hardware has really impressed me since the 2XL. The software has been great but hardware has been lacking. I desperately want to get back on the Pixel bandwagon and if all these leaks turn out to be accurate this will finally be the phone that does it! I'll be trading in my Note Ultra 20 on it. Wish we didn't have to wait til late September or October.
Yep...I am. I hope the Pro version has a flat screen instead of a curved screen though.

This phone is a massive 90° turn for google as much on the software side than the hardware.
SO let me know:
1- Are you excited for the GP6 Pro?
2- Do you plan on buying it?
3- What the feature, following the leaks and the I/O that you anticipate the most?

1. I'm stoked. Haven't been this excited for a Google device since the Galaxy Nexus w/Ice Cream Sandwich, though the Nexus 5 leak accompanied by KitKat ranks up there.
2. I plan on F5'ing the Google Store repeatedly as soon as the presentation starts, so yeah.
3. Whitechapel and, Material You (biggest software overhaul since 4.4). Also it seems like Google gives a darn about hardware now.
