Widgets (6) frozen with Nova, but work with System Launcher Xiaomi Mi 9T MIUI 11 - Nova Launcher

Widgets- Today Weather, Brave Bookmarks, Windy,. Were all working fine till a few days ago, and still work with System Launcher. Have reinstalled Nova, but no luck

Same here on the OnePlus 6T with OOS 10.
Already activated the "restart widgets on resume" option in the Nova -> Settings -> Labs section.
Sadly, with no luck.
Is there any known workaround for the issue?
thx

Hello i have the same issue, so i contact Nova and here is the answer
That's a very well known issue on Xiaomi's end that you would need to contact them about. You can also try these steps: youtube.com/watch?v=ywQrYJ6rtnM.
I follow the instructions of the video and It's work for my MI 9T

Phone, contacts and MIUI messages.

Hello gentlemen.
Redmi Note 8 Global comes with standard Google calling, contacts, and messaging applications.
The MIUI versions, in my opinion, are infinitely better.
My question is:
Is there how to put these applications?
Already tried to download by apkmirror but the calling app does not work.
Thank's.
Same issue here... Wondering why Xiaomi decided to bundle this device with google apps... Anyone knows how we can get the MIUI apps back
I personally like Google’s more than Xiaomi
They say on Xiaomi forums that Google requested to put their apps.
Sent from my Redmi Note 8 using Tapatalk
Switch to Xiaomi.eu ROM, more enhanced and fluid than stock. It has miui default apps for Phone, Contacts & Messages.
There are two ways on global.
The first is through Magisk.
The second is through Recovery.

Xiaomi.eu is a unofficial firmware, so you cannot install without unlocking bootloader. There are some good guides in the forums, some searching will show you the whole process. It will void your warranty, by the way.
It is Multilang (multiple language support) so it should support most if not all languages.

Google assistant "OK Google" resolved (need to be tested)

Hello everyone
I think I found a temporary solution for the "OK Google" feature issue in google assistant for Redmi note 8
I tested it in my phone and it's working and I'll be happy if you did the same test to tell me if it's working
what you need is a rooted phone and a file explorer that support root (or any method that will let you change a system file) , I did 2 changes is Build.prop that can be found in \system\ after reboot I went to activate the OK google option and it went enabled and working.
the changes I made were in the lines :
ro.product.model=
ro.product.brand=
in the 1st I put samsung and in the 2nd S10
I wonder if anyone can test and give me a feedback.
**I still have the MIUI Global 11.0.4 I didn't install the latest update yet**

Update : after installing the last MIUI Update 11.0.6.0 the feature was disabled again, I checked the build.prop and the 2 lines I changed went back as previous, I had to make the change again and clear the GOOGLE data, after reboot I restored the OK GOOGLE feature .

Thank you for taking the time to look into this!
On the other hand, it's absolutely ridiculous that this is something that needs to be done in the first place. Maybe they can incorporate it into the Xiaomi.eu builds in the future?

Mi 10T asking if the update Mui 12.1.1 for A11 has some bugs or NOT??

Hi, guys I just bought Mi 10T yesterday and I notice there is an update 2.8G for the Mui 12.1.1 and I wonder if I should stick to Android 10 at the moment because I heard there are some bugs in the new update like an unresponsive touch screen and some other issues.
What you think !!!!
I currently use official Global EEA rom 12.1.5.0 (RJDEUXM). It is definitely more buggy than the Android 10 rom came with the device. But, I must say it is a lot better than the first Android 11 rom (12.1.1.0).

After writing my previous comment, I re-enabled MIUI optimization and my problems have gone for good I needed to disable it to install YouTube Vanced, so enabling it was not much of an issue. The bugs I encounter were
Gestures were not working on Nova launcher
I couldn't change Whatsapp notification sounds
Inter-app file opening (like opening a pdf attachment with a third party app) was not working.
Based on this development, I could recommend the latest official EEA rom. But, I should note that Android 11 doesn't chance user experience a lot.

In the first place other users reported that Miui optimization is hidden on A11. How did you bring it back? Also using Vanced and I'll probably need this.
As for the bugs you mentioned - the 1 and 3 is bugs (features) on A11 itself. You can't use gestures unlees you use the stock launcher and the 3 - A11 changes how the apps access the data on your phone.
Thanks!

I learned it from a blog post. To unhide MIUI optimization scroll down to the bottom of developer settings and tap the "Reset to default values" option under Autofill section several times. It gets hidden again but your settings persist.

Unable to upload files in chrome/firefox using files app in Android 11 (Miui 12.5)

Yesterday I UPDATED my 10T from android 10 to android 11 (MIUI 12.5 RJDINXM). Today I tried to send some files through wetransfer, but was unable to upload it. When I click upload in chrome, it gives me only three options:
Camera, Camera and Files while I have three different file explorers installed. In Files (com.google.android.documentsui) , I choose one or multiple files, click select, and nothing happens. Files UI closes and nothing starts uploading. This was working perfectly in android 10. Also, the uploads are working in Google drive from the same app.
Previously when I updated my phone to MIUI 12.1 (also android 11), I was facing the same problem. So i downgraded to android 10.
I am even not able to attach the screen-record here. So, uploaded to youtube:
Update:
I just found that I am unable to share files directly too. If I share a file from an app e.g. Josh to WhatsApp, it says file format not supported like in the following video.:
Hey, facing the same issue on my poco x3.

I had disabled MIUI Optimisations in Developer Settings. I did some experiments (took about 18 hours or so) and some hardwork (reset my phone twice) then re-enable it at last and it solved my problem! apparently MI did this in Android 11 so we don't disable MIUI optimisation and install external apps like Vanced.

Thank you for this tip! I hadn't thought about having MIUI optimization turned off causing the problem, switched it back on and now everything works as expected like uploading to Chrome and opening attachments in Gmail. Just a thought... from my research it seems like these are stock Android 11 problems and maybe MIUI Devs actually did mods to fix permission problems between apps?
Thanks again.

I normally never ever write replies on XDA, BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH! This issue has been making me frustrated so much, I was even considering downgrading back to MIUI 11 or flashing a custom ROM. But enabling MIUI Optimizations fixed it! Again, thank you so much, this was really frustrating to me.

For Vanced to install you have to disable Miui optimizations but after installation you can enable them again and preserve Vanced.

Why would you want to leave it turned on? Just install the app you want once and then turn it off. That solves the problem. Moreover, many apps nowadays have stopped asking you to disable optimizations to install. So just leave it in a position that solves the problem.

Sorry, think that doesn't help but nevermind. I had the same issue and cannot even open anything else than setting from notification center and Magisk didn't open because it was restarting every few seconds. I've just removed all Magisk Modules as fast as I could with my PC with a command and reinstalled all the other ones again. Any Launcher I tried caused the same issue. Maybe there is something else you need to do before but sorry, i can't help. I experienced that on Xiaomi 11T in many MIUI Firmware Versions.
