Nice. Thank you, i love audio tweaks on my phone!

Tested
I`ve just tested it.
No any issues with the installation.
Afterwards I recorded a video in very noisy surrounding from the TV with volume setting high.
Here are the results:

Ideal, understandable voices from the people around. Played the file within the phone, on smart TV and PC.
Good job mate - regards!
PS: In my phone only GCam records video with audio bitrate 192kb/s. The other two - stock and 4k Camera Pro with 316-320kb/s.

You fix audio bitrate, but now video bitrate is only 20... Can you fix... Without mod v.bitrate is 40.

The "incompatible" roms are still yet to be determined. It varies from each device as well. The guaranteed roms that will work are MIUI, and xiaomi.eu

Stock MIUI camera... Miroom 9.11.14.

Since its MIUI camera, it might be using a variable bitrate codec.

I try in LL and good light, but video bitrate is locked ~ 20. Thanks for mod and help.

It doesnt work on Havoc custom rom, just to let you know. If you know how to do it for other roms it would be great.

I manually edited /system/etc and replaced all 96000 and 156000 with 320000, and it seems to have done the trick on my rom Havoc, the file in vendor makes no difference, I am using anxcamera to test

Speaker volume is set to 88
This fix not just changes the values of one audio related file, but also has other audio changes & addon library files to remove the distortion.
Code:
<path name="speaker">
<ctl name="SLIM RX1 MUX" value="AIF1_PB" />
<ctl name="SLIM_0_RX Channels" value="One" />
<ctl name="RX4 MIX1 INP1" value="RX1" />
[B][COLOR="RoyalBlue"]<ctl name="RX4 Digital Volume" value="88" />[/COLOR][/B]
<ctl name="SPK DAC Switch" value="1" />
</path>

I m ok with manual edit of sound level in xml file + stock DSP manager for Redmi1S
ViperAndroid is good tool and I use it on Nexus 7 (2013) which doesn't have too much of loudspeaker volume.

There are many who don't know what to do & are still facing the issue, rather than telling them what to do & what not to, this flashable Zip fill fix it as flashing is an easy process.
Some users make mistakes while editing xml and we don't want that to happen do we? While this might not happen in most cases...but still why take the risk?
SoundFix MOD is not just a simple xml edited MOD. :angel:
Sure DSP is good and gives a good audio experience but Viper4Android is for those who are looking for more than just listening to Music that's why i posted it as a suggestion bro. :good: :victory:
All of us have different thinking, so based on that we make decisions.
You made your's & i made mine and Users who are downloading this MOD made theirs.

Anyway which ROM are you on? Is there any one specific ROM which you'd like to use as a daily driver or are using it right now?
Right now i'm on Mokee Release 141108 + my SoundFix mod & i feel this one is pretty stable at the moment & thinking of using it as a daily driver.
What do you say?

Installed a Mokee nightly 2nd Nov , since then I hv been using ROMs from xda on & off ..
In my free time,whenever I have a 2 hour window .. cwm backup + sdcard change ... overnight use .. if major issue then revert on backup and back to office @work.
I will be doing zipaligning ,supercharging ,Lagfix & purePerformance mods once I fix my ROM.. then I keep things same for a year or couple..
Even mokee nightlies in previous week were not agreeable due to change of ext/sdcard

Yes, ported stock cam has few shortcoming like absence of burst mode..
mokee is decent ROM , but we will always have suspicion on China ROMs because "reasons"..
Anyways after every flash of nightly, before booting it first time , I mount /system and /data in CWM n get rid of any Chinese Apps.
in /system/app
in /system/third-app
in /data/app
in /data/priv-app
in /data/third-app
These chinese ware keep changing places and I have to search them everytime I flash new.
After that push some apps in /system/
PerformanceControl-2.2.5.apk -> /system/app/
TitaniumBackup.apk -> /system/app/
bootanimation.zip -> /system/media/
unmount /system /data in cwm and restart..
# adb restore apk.obb.nosystem.ab
and its like my 1 hour old phone , just with new ROM and cleaner.

4k was a joke? Sad
But maybe some with true 1080p60fps? Cause with media_profiles yes, we're getting 60fps, but the quality is like 480p video.

Dont think its possible anyway.. But, could try with 60fps maybe? Or atleast try to increase bitrate for FHD camera? Currently we have 15mbps, will be nice if there is 20-25mbps (not possible with any mod currently).

OTA seems to have some problem, says something about a missing file.
Thanks for letting me know about skynet, I'll have to read more about it. Does it work on any MIUI ROM?

IF ur stuck on logo, just do full wipe in TWRP.
What about this camera bitrate? Can you make flashable pack with 25 mbps for example 1080p? Its hard to do? Cause I was experimenting with build.prop and no results.

[MOD] Marmite Audio Mod - Increase the loudspeaker max. volume

Hey all!
I've made this little mod since I saw this other thread, and considered it relevant enough to create a thread, so that as soon as Nougat came out I could keep the mod updated with the newest files.
For now, it just amplifies the volume significantly, however more features may come in the future.
Changes included:
- Improved loudspeaker max. volume
- Possibly more in the future (Looking forward Dolby Atmos integration)
Downloads:
In the attachments until AndroidFileHost adds the Wileyfox Swift 2 to their list of devices.
Installation instructions:
1. Unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP
2. Download the latest version zip
3. Boot into TWRP, make a backup if you wish, and choose Install and locate and flash the ZIP
4. Reboot and enjoy!
Enjoy, and don't forget to leave a Thanks if you loved it!
Thanks a lot linuxct

I wouldn't recommend flashing it in other devices than the marmite (Swift 2, Swift 2+ or Swift 2X)... But if you wish to try, you can (but please, do a nandroid backup before, I can't be responsible for any bricks by flashing this mod in a different device than the ones this is targeted to).
P.S. Please don't quote the full OP

No? I mean, this isn't an 'old' thread. And it probably will be updated anytime soon.
And no, it's just *specific* for the Wileyfox Swift 2, marmite, and I will ensure this with an assert on newer versions.

Yes I tested it on the Friday 23/12/2016 final cyanogen 6.0.1 build with no issues.
Thanks good work
Does this increase the volume everywhere? Media volume is brilliant but unfortunately I find the incoming call volume when phoning is far to loud with this.
Any chance for a mod without changing that part?

I was just about to flash this when I read your post - is the ringer really too loud, even on the lowest volume setting?

I'm not meaning the ringer volume. It's the call volume. The voice you hear when phoning. It's like using hands free even when it's on the lowest setting. I had to keep it at least a hands length away from my ear. Also everyone else (people on the bus or train) can hear the person on the other end.
Great many thanks works a treat
Great Mod thanks @linuxct
Can you possibly update this mod to work with Android 7.1.2 as I have now updated but the volume levels leave a lot to be desired. Might need to downgrade back to Marmite at this rate as the volume is far to low.
Not work..
Somehow it broke sound.
Still silent on ringing and mp3 playback..
Will this work on 7.1/lineage marmite swift 2 plus?

I have received a post on my thread requesting a soundmod for Xiaomi mi A1 - Android Oreo Jan Patch - from user laugeek57
After providing me the files he changed his mind...
But Big Thanks go XDA Rajeev for his time in testing...
a memebr requested for Mic Fix robby_tan, so I made a Mic Fix Only...
The Question is, should I add it to the DualSpeaker...? is it an issue...?
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACKS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE MOD...
Dualspeaker Soundmod tutorial can be found here...
!!! ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM !!!
No worries if you forgot to backup, I have uploaded the backup just in case...
DUALSPEAKER includes ALL, for Buzz Fix or Mic Fix or Both, go into its corresponding Folder...
---> If you install two mods, they will overwrite each other, simply because they are targeting the same file, so choose only one, if you want something, request it...
***** : stands for DUALSPEAKER or MicFix or Mic_And_Buzz_Fix...
Just extract the "Xiaomi_Mi_A1_*****.zip" and get the mixers and place them in your
(system/etc) for Nougat or (system/vendors/etc) for Oreo &
IMPORTANTLY set mixer permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) ...
reboot...
or
Flash "OREO_TWRP_Xiaomi_mi_A1_*****.zip" or "NOUGAT_TWRP_Xiaomi_mi_A1_*****.zip" according to your device, it will place backup of original mixers and replace current mixers with Modded mixers...
Stable - Tested by members in this thread
or
Use the Magisk Module "OREO_MAGISK_Xiaomi_mi_A1_*****.zip" or "NOUGAT_MAGISK_Xiaomi_mi_A1_*****.zip" according to your device
Stable - Tested by members in this thread
Let me know if you face any issues...
Google Drive: Xiaomi Mi A1 - DualSpeaker/BuzzFix
--- BIG THANKS TO black_arashi for providing me logcat of whatsapp and a recorded video of what happens when playing voice note, Fixed sound issue, some apps you'll hear dualspeaker & some single speaker, it's kernel related issue, not in my hands...
--- Big THANKS go to XDA amarbajpai for his time in testing for buzz sound fix in headphones...
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This MOD can be used with Equalizers, but this mod sets the phone to the loudest balanced volume gain...
Using Equalizers might cause crackles and noise which damage your earpiece if you don't fix it, to fix it either you adjust the other MOD settings by reducing the boost
or Adjusting my MOD by Opening Mixer_paths_mtp.xml and edit value 84 to 80 or less for earpiece and values for 5,56 (you may not need to change these) are for speaker,
change at your own risk, eleminate all crackles and noises...
Each Device and brand have different SAFE LEVELS however things to Consider:
--- for earpiece: upto 10 value increase is safe ( value 84 to 94 or 95 is Safe)
--- for Speaker: upto 10-20 gain and 1-2 value increase are safe (value 56 to 66-76 and 5 to 6-7)
Keep in mind increasing the volume will cause you issues when using it with other sound mods such as Viper, Dolby, etc...
Code:
<path name="speaker">
........................................................................
<ctl name="Speaker Volume" value="5" /> <!--speaker-->
<ctl name="Digital Gain" value="56" /> <!--speaker-->
........................................................................
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84" /> <!--earpiece-->
........................................................................
</path>
The BuzzFix: It Significantly reduces the Buzz, not eliminate it completely due to "impedance" can't be modified through the mixers, you should hear it very less as reported by the tester...
--- for headphones: default was 84, it was decreased to 65 to reduce unwanted buzz as tester mentioned "The Volume in headphones is very loud at mid point, so max volume is a very rare case for someone to use...", you may raise it but not more than 90 but you'll bust your ear as it's very loud you'll also hear & I quote "LOUD HUMMING BIRDS CHIRPING IN YOUR EARS", raising the Volume will raise the Buzzing sound as well...
Code:
<path name="headphones">
........................................................................
<!-- Possible Fix for headphone buzz/hissing sound XDA-Dev Dante63-->
........................................................................
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="65" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="65" />
<!---->
........................................................................
</path>
Another BIG THANKS TO black_arashi for the Images...
Don't Forget to say :good: THANKS :good: ...
And Please, your Feedbacks are important for futuristic updates to improve the MOD...
(19/03/2018)
--- TWRP has been updated again, it will backup only if there is no backup...
--- Merged Mic Fix into DualSpeaker, DualSpeaker now has everything...
(05/03/2018)
--- TWRP has been updated, it will backup your current Mixers in the same path with file name as "mixername.xml.bak0", if you flash TWRP file twice you'll lose your Original...

Bless you :angel:, but before magisk, it must be done manually first, once everything is captured correctly, the magisk part wouldn't take much time...
if you still want to be a magisk tester, then you'll have to wait a bit longer...

It's pretty much useless to make magisk do that to wrong files...
Manual will confirm the MOD working, then you can put back your original mixers and install Magisk MOD....

Here are some of the numerous features of the Dolby Atmos Digital Signal Processor application that you will now be able to enjoy on your Lenovo vibe k5 or plus
•Graphics user interface that's easy to understand and use.
•Apply sound effects to media audio output.
Output support for various media players.
•Intelligent Equalizer which constantly analyzes and dynamically adjusts the audio to match a preset frequency response. It delivers rich and detailed audio that packs power into every note and beat.
•Graphic Equalizer which enables you to customize your sound across the frequency range from bass to treble.
•Volume Leveler which delivers a consistent volume, regardless of change in content or applications based on the device's master volume.
Bass Enhancer which improves bass response via headphones and device speakers, boosting the ability of both to reproduce low-frequency sounds.
•Dynamic enhancer which identifies the audio content and adjusts several parameters based on the audio content to give the best output quality.
•Surround Virtualizer which creates realistic surround sound through any set of headphones or stereo speakers.
•Dialogue Enhancer which improves the clarity of speech in any type of media
[Requirements]
Your lenovo k5 or plus must be running on a minimum of Android 8.0 Oreo for this app to work on it. Here's how to install Android 8.0 Oreo on lenovo k5
•Magisk users have the option of installing directly to /system instead of creating a Magisk module using the included arise_parameters.prop.
•SuperSU users with the systemless root solution have the option of creating a SU module instead of installing directly to /system.
•SuperSU users and Magisk users instructing a /system installation via a prepared /sdcard/arise_parameters.prop are encouraged to confirm that a minimum of 100MB of /system space is available before beginning installation in recovery
•Magisk users performing the default Magisk module installation and SuperSU users performing the optional systemless installation will require 100MB more than the minimum available /data space acceptable (usually 500MB; 500MB + 100MB = 600MB).
•Permissive SELinux Mode is currently required and will be set automatically after each device boot. Do not install archive if this is not acceptable.
