Audio volume random variance - Realme X2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
So I got the X2 a couple of days ago and I'm experiencing a weird shift in volume while listening to music. The sound raises and lowers back to the original level almost instantly.
I got it with v6.0 and updated it last night to v6.1. It's the same in both versions
Anyone with a similar experience?

Is this via wired headphones? I'm having the same issue when I plug my Sol Republic headphones in. I think it's because of the jack. My jack has 4 poles (for the microphone), and I'm pretty sure only 3 pole jacks are supported. I've ordered a 4 pole to 3 pole adapter to see if this fixes the issue.
EDIT: Scratch that. Didn't work

Volume/Separate Control Switching?

Long long.. long ago. I got turtle beach headphones I highly regret getting. The issue is after the speakers caved in I was left with two wires, one that is used to hear in the head phones. Comes with a standard av set attached headphone jack for these turtle beaches and other headphones. Another cord was for the mic.
Now for some time I've been using the av headphone jack cord for surround sound on my ps3 "after hooking it up" then left with a cordless jack. I can attach any headphone inside and I'll get sound. My issue is however I cannot control the volume, it stays on a mid range volume that isn't high or low.
So I was wondering is there an app that can do this by using a duo headset jack plugged into my phone and connecting the jacks? It seems a lot harder than its made to be but it is worth it, if your wondering why I just don't use my headset in the surround sound its because my headphones aren't long enough and the ****ty phones jack plug in I bought is loose on 3.5m headphones.
Is there anything or am I doomed for now?
Edit: here's my example -

Audio issue in car using Line Out input in BMW

Has anyone else out there connected their M8 to their car using 3.5mm and noticed a strange whining and hissing noise prior to any actual audio being played?
The noise is very apparent, but as soon as you start some audio (Spotify/Deezer/Google/HTC player) its fine, and that includes any quiet bits in a song. Its when there is no audio being pushed out there seems to be this problem,
I havent noticed it on my headphones, but cant confirm as I left them in the office last week. Anyone else had a similar issue?
M8 is stock with latest updates for UK version.

Your cable must be loose or bad
Try a better shielded cable. Also, turn volume to max on the phone to get a better signal and adjust desired volume in the car.

I have tried several cables (one pro series) and it makes no difference.
I have only just upgraded to this phone a week ago from my Galaxy Note 3, which did not have any issues at all.

Are you charging your phone while it's connected?
Try it without power or with an external battery.

Unfortunately not, I would expect some interference if I had connected it to the 12V charger, but its just playing as a phone with only the audio lead connected, nothing else!
Most annoying is that you have to pay £240 more to BMW for audio bluetooth.... grrrrrrr

I am an installer at a car audio shop. We like to hardwire bluetooth audio adapters to the factory aux. Your local reputable shop should be able to do it in your bmw no problem. Use this part, as cheaper ones tend to have noise. This has fm mod which you will not be using, but has true analog out that they can hardwire to the back of your aux jack where nothing is seen. At my shop, I charge $100 labor and $100 for the part.

Yes on some occasions i have experienced the same noise.
Its not a cable issue as i have checked grounding, used several cables, and tested with other devices.
It also clears up on its on once you use an app to play music.
I use siriusxm, play music, and pandora..

[Q] Aux 3 pole cable to headphone socket issue

On stock kit-kat I had no issue using a 3 pole auxilary cable from headphone socket to my car stereo so i have hands free through the car speaker system.
Everything worked perfectly.
Now i'm on CM12 ... as soon as I plug into the headphone socket with the same 3 pole cable it triggers the google listening app... waiting for me to say something.... then I have to close it 3-4 times after it re-opens again until finally it stops and I get my music to work.
But then other things are triggering the same problem such as answering a phone call.
Something in Android 5 has to be causing this.
My stock headphones work perfectly but of course they are 4 pole and have a built in mic for hands free.
Any ideas......?

[Q] Galaxy S3 headphone jack not recognizing headphones WITHOUT mics

This is something that just started happening. A week ago, my headphones got jerked out of the headphone jack. When I plugged my headphones in, it didn't recognize the headphones.
After borrowing some that worked, I bought a new pair (JVC Marshmallows off Amazon that I have used forever). They didn't work.
After borrowing two more pairs, I realized that my phone is playing headphones with a mic (three lines on the jack) fine but headphones without mics (with two lines) are not being recognized at all.
I'd really like to get this fixed because I have 5 pairs of the JVC marshmallow headphones (I got free) and I want to be able to use them.
The only thing I can think of is that you might have striped the headphone port

Wired headphones makes volume vary wildly. Also asks to enable Google Assistant

When I plug my Sol Republic headphones in, the volume varies like crazy. From zero to max and back again. I'm also prompted to unable Google Assistant.
I thought that because my headphones have a mic (with a 4 pole jack) that this was the issue. So I bought a 4 pole to 3 pole jack adapter. It sorted out the volume variation, but the audio quality was completely messed up.
Is anyone else having issues with headphone with mics?
