Emulator for android - Game Ports and Emulators

Hi all,
I have truly got fed-up searching for a solution. I run linux and I am looking for a simple emulator in which I can run android. This android must be
1. non-rooted
2.pass Safetynet test
3. Be safe and secure (perferably compilable by me)
4. upgradeable
I am planning to use this as my banking emulator so that I can install all banking apps inside and not rely on my mobile phone for banking anymore. I will start the emulator on-demand and do the banking stuff on the apps.
I could not find any emulator with all these demands. Most of the emualtors (including android-x86) are rooted. Moreover, google playstore does not come up with banking apps in search (Barclays is another PIA).
Please help !
Thanks in advance.

[Q] KUF help

Hi,
I had version 6.2.1 and i root it and everything was great could use the Market (Play) and so on , after upgrading i could still use the market and install things although i read that upgrading to 6.3 kills the root , nevertheless i did KUF and it worked ok and i get the TWRF and i can also get into it , however i would like to know how can i know if my Kindle has been root, entering the Market i see the same application and everything is working OK .
so first question:
1. after KUF how can i know that my kindle has been rooted correctly
2. after finishing the KUF my computer doesn't recognize the Kindle not matter what i do , even try to re-install he drives - strange btw i see in the device manager android phone - android ADB interface , i'm trying a fresh OS.
3. how come i cant see all application in the market only some of them, is it cause the market can see that it's a Tablet
Thanks
Blacknasa
One more small issue
I can transfer many application that arent visible in the market like for instance Kayak however i when i try to install them i got an error that application didn't install, i don't know why , anybody ? is it any log that i can check ?
Tanks for the Help
Blacknasa
To tell if you are rooted, download and install "Terminal Emulator" from the market. From the terminal type "su" without quotes. If your prompt changes from $ to #, or you get a "Superuser" request, you are rooted.
As far as the Market is concerned, only apps that are known to be compatible with your device will show (unless you edit your build.prop). Some will still work but you'll have to download them from other sources i.e. Google search NameofApp.apk...just stay away from paid apps with this method.

Vsun i9 rooting

Hi, just received an Vsun i9 (also announced as Peter Pan) bought from China (Aliexpress). MTK6577 1Ghz, 512Mb 4Gb ROM, Android 4.0.4
It came without Play Store (and crashes if installed manually) , the google account doesn't sync, etc. etc. so it's the kind of phone chinese goverment loves (unfortunatelly for me)
I've tried to root with Superoneclick and z4root, but didn't suceed
I tried to install alternative market, like Getjar, but it seems it calls to Play Store apk, and also crashes with some downloads
Any ideas will be welcome

Thanks for the suggestion.
The Micromax A68 seems to be based on a non 3G chipset and is not dual core (MTK6577 is) should it work?

I looked for Micromax A68 in the forums and saw your post about unlocking it ... but probably because I am a newby I and never rooted before got lost among so much roms and downloads and din't manage to unlock (at least yet)
Anyway thank you for showing me the path, will keep investigating, I suppose it's part of the fun, even when my wife doesn't like having an android phone without acces to market
Finally I managed to root this Vsun i9, using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18
Now the cellphone is rooted, and with Super User installed, and also installed root explorer.
Next problem is that Play Store keeps crashing if installed, the Google account still doesn't sync and most of the solutions I found require copying files to /system/app , but when using Root Explorer I am not allowed to write on that folder.
By investigating, I understand I will need to install the gapps package (or install a rom that work with this phone), if I want to have the syncing and play store,
Can someone give me some clues about how to proceed next?
----
Just adding some useful info for people with same model.
When trying Superoneclick (that was always freezeing on Zerg Rush Step #7 on my Windows8), I was asked to execute as administrator.
I thought it would be good idea to run as administrator also Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18, but was always receiving errors from the batch script, so I just thought it was not working,
Finally excuted once as normal user, choosed the "1) Normal", and that was all, my phone rooted!.
Don't forget to turn on the USB debugging option on the phone options.
I found that with Root Explorer there's a "mount r/w" option that let's you full access to system folders XD
Hello! I am thinking on buy this phone. Can you tell me how does it works? What do you think in general terms?
Is it a good phone? How about camera?
I have found the last ROM V0013 "VSUN_MT6577_4X4_OV5647_R007_02_CHINESE_V0013_TXD.rar" in a Chinese forum. Is it your phone rom?
If I update with this rom, can I root using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 after that?
Thanks you so much!
Sorry for my English!

Hoi Hans:
Try it with SRSroot setup (google the program) install and let the program do the work for you
You will need internet on the pc that root the phone but it works.
And now google playstore
- Step 1: Uninstall google playstore.apk
- Step 2: Enable 'USB debugging' on your device (you can find this in the settings menu)
- Step 3: Enable 'Unknown Sources' on your device (Also under settings)
- Step 4: Connect your device to the computer (If needed install the android drivers)
- Step 5: Click on one of the ROOT options in this software (you can choose between supersu or superuser), and wait till it's finished.
- Step 6: Download root explorer.apk and install it on your device.
- Step 7: Download google playstore.apk and copy this file into the system/app/ map of your phone with root explorer.
When it's not allowed to past the file look at the top of the screen and change the properties of root explorer to read and write (mount r/w to mount r/o).
- Step 8: Change now the permissions of that app to
Owner = read write
Group = read
Others = read
- Step 9: Then install the playstore.apk from this place en restart your phone when done.
- Step 10: Now you have a full working playstore app on your mobile

Cannot Install and Run Apps both on Emulator and Real Device!

Hello everyone I need your help. After I first successfully run my first Apps both in Emulator and Real Device (Galaxy S3) it works well. Then I started to make my second new Apps and want to Run both in Emulator and Real Device again but when I open and run my second new apps both in emulator and real device, the content shows same as the previous first apps.
Then what I did is go to my computer C Drive > Users > User > Android Studio Project > [my first Apps project) or (C:\Users\User\AndroidStudioProjects) and delete the folder of my first and second Apps to think that If i will make the new apps again (3rd Time) it will run and install it to my emulator and real device but it didn't happen???
Can someone kind hearted of you could tell and explain or give solution to my problem? Pls!

"when I open and run my second new apps both in emulator and real device, the content shows same as the previous first apps."
For me it always works (i use android studio, what do you use?), but you might want to delete the old app before running a new app.
"it will run and install it to my emulator and real device but it didn't happen?"
Did you get any errors? what exactly didn't happen?

Galaxy a50 installing linux

Hello, i would like to ask is there any possibility to install Ubuntu/Arch/Debian with no root? Thanks!
No.
BTW: why are you willing to brick your phone ?
Not to brick, like install inside system, is saw lot of them use Limbo but it keep crashing on my A50
Try termux
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Yea there are many ways to proot linux.
For termux, install it from playstore and google [insert distro] for termux, for automaticly entering your distro modify your .bash_profile
The easier way would be to install UserLAnd from play store as it sets up ssh / vnc automaticly for you to make it easier, to connect to it just ssh from any terminal emulator or vnc client of choice.
Im sure there are many other proot (simulated chroot) aswell, if those 2 arent what your looking for. search for linux.
Gl, should be easy to setup.

VPN ON Philips Android TV/BOX

Hi all,
Is there a way to install Adguard Certificate on an Android TV? I installed Adguard on my TV and set up everything except for HTTPS Filtering. When I click on activate, the certificate install screen flashes but when I click on install it says failed and try another method. On my TV there is no option to open certificate settings in Security section.
Up to now, I managed many customizations on my TV over ADB Shell. Is it possible to install adguard.crt over ADB Shell?
I read many things on different forums but there isn't any clear explanation for that.
Your help is appreciated. If you know please reply me.
My Android TV is Philips 49PUS7502/12 with Android 8.0 Nougat. It's not rooted and don't want to root before warranty expires. USB Debugging and Adb over wireless is active.
Thanks beforehand.
Hi I very interested to see someone else trying to get the same thing working.
Sadly, the problem seems to be that all the root certificates are stored in the /system partition of Android TV, and unlike regular Android, I dug around with different tools and apps and folders, it seems like the user, (us) can't add our own certificates WITHOUT root access.
And my Philips Android TV doesn't have a published rooting method yet and might never get one.
If you find a solution some day , please share it with others here.
as far as i know its not possible to integrate adguard or any other adblock tool on Philips Tv...you can use VPN or doing setup your Wlan-Router for grant that.
The Browser on Android Tv did not have Plugins to...that and many other little **** makes Android Tv more and more unlovely.
