Hello, Thanks, And Wallpaper

Hi all of the great people here on xda-devs.
First i'd like to say a big thankyou to the large number of informative posters here especially mskip.
I've always been a symbian s60 user myself, as I had an old hp ipaq (wm5) and it always seemed slow and unresponsive, so as soon as I moved from dumb to smart phones, I went for nokias e-series, which work well but are fairly uncustomisable.
Having browsed these forums for a while, I decided to buy a winmo device to mess about with.
I brought a second hand tytn ii today, and it seems to be in great condition for 70 quid.
I've had great fun tonight playing with different roms and such, with intent to trying android in the future.
Lastly, I put together a quick wallpaper (1024x768) to keep me ocupied during the flashing.
It isn't anything great but it was made soley in MS Paint, and as I'm on a pretty old laptop the screen is not too good, but I attached it anyway ( plus inside zip because of image size rules)
Thanks again.
Welcome to forums

Yeah, go ahead, working with images isn't one of my best areas.

Make It Yourself Phonestand

I'm not big into people advertising themselves, but it's my first video and thought I'd share it to see if I should continue doing it.
I'm pretty late to the youtube game, but better late than never eh?
It's also the first time I've used video editing software which I learned how to do this afternoon.
Any criticisms are welcome either here or on youtube.
Thanks.

This is what we call ghetto, but do appreciate the video and efforts though.

Just a BIG Thank You!!!

I have been reading the forums for some time now in hopes to someday root one my phones. I started reading about a year ago and finally rooted last week.
Root went great then yesterday I flashed my first Rom and oh crap anything and everything went wrong because I missed one step. Now what??? Read Read Read.
After a lot of reading I found my answers and fixed my phone, I couldn't of done it without you so Thank You for all the walk throughs tips and guides.
Successfully running CyanogenMod on my T-Mobile G2x Rooted with Super One Click.
Again BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!
You are so welcome
You waited a year before taking the plunge, and you still messed up?? No offense. I just find that rather odd. Not saying anything so don't be mad. We all make mistakes. Take care. =)
I too want to say thanks to all you great gents& Ladies her for your time & patience with this old broad. I haven't been on here for very long but I find that I am way out of my league with you bunch. In a lot of cases trying to read what you reply of post is like trying to read Greek & I can barley read Enlish & I am a Canuck. I have loved my Streak but as I rarely use it anymore for anything more than a phone & the problems it has given me, I have put my sim & SD cards back into my BB and will just use it in my latter years. I may upgrade to a Galaxy but I don't know just now. So anyway I have put the Streak up for sale here in the to sell forum as well as the accesories forum & next week or so I will put it on Ebay, Kikijji or Craigslist. Again thanks for all the advice I have placed this forum into my favorites so I have a place to come to if I need expert electronic advice. Cheers Angela aka fysty-1 Dodds.

I would also like to echo my thanks to this site, to everyone behind it and all the contributors and wealth of knowledge that is assembled here. After finally having enough with VZW, I unlocked and rooted my GNEX and it's been absolutely wonderful! THANKS!
Welcome in guys!
I see you have decided to step out of lurking and perhaps become part of the community, that is very noble cause indeed.
Feel free to roam the forums you guys frequent and help other members with questions or issues that you once had, this way we can help perpetuate the greatness of the forum and save developers' time answering things so they spend it developing.
That may be the best way to show your gratitude.
I too want to say Thank you to the xda community!

Hi all,
I too wish to thank the forum's contributors, without them my phone would not be rooted etc...........still it can be a 'daunting task' wading thru the 'info', especially when one does not have any background in this stuff........I literally need step by step instructions....
A Big Thank yous

Thank you

Thank you all for posting and amount of help I see given. Really glad I found this site.I have been doing a lot of reading and learning. I just need to get my nerv up so I can root even though nova launcher lets you do so much.
This is my first Android phone and its been great. So much better than my Blackberry.
Thanks again for all you that get on and help us noobs out.
Its extremely easy buddy. I've only rooted a few phones but its easy. Especially Nexus type phones. It took me a few minutes just to do some reading and do the actually rooting and installing a rom. Well like 30 minutes but still not so long

NFS Most Wanted v1.0.47 L-A-G...

This game has awesome graphics that's unfortunately kills the FPS.
I don't see any guide on how to tune it down a bit for version 1.0.47
but i know Hamdir has made a guide for 1.0.28 a couple months ago..
On my buddy's Note 2 it doesn't lag because it has worse graphics,
but i really don't mind bad graphics as long as the FPS is flawless...
So any idea how to tune it? :silly:
i guess nobody wants to answer :\ ...
That's a stupid reaction, "nobody wants to answer" ! Maybe nobody came along with an solution/answer ! Did you ever thought about that ?
XDA is not a company/helpdesk with payd personnel who sits and wait for questions to pop up and give you the answers you need !
Cheers
that's strange to have come up with no answer :\ , guess i'll just have to uninstall it then?
or install the Galaxy S3's version? since i already paid the game i should have no problem downloading the APK to make it a lot smoother..
