Huawei P40 Pro leaked render shows off quad cameras, curved display - Huawei P30 Guides, News, & Discussion

Huawei keeps straddling along. The Chinese company is now preparing to launch its upcoming flagships, the Huawei P40 lineup, very soon. We’ve been seeing several rumors and leaks about the design these past few days, and we even got a glimpse at some press renders of the Huawei P40. Now, though, it’s time for the Huawei P40 Pro, usually the more interesting one out of the pair, to come out of the shadow with leaked press renders thanks to the folks at AndroidHeadlines.
As well as two standard-looking lenses, there is also what appears to be either a macro lens or a ToF sensor to the right of the camera bump. All of this is enclosed within a rectangular, black camera bump, fitting the general aesthetic of other 2020/2019 smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 lineup, the Pixel 4 and the iPhone 11 lineup.

There is also a pill-shaped hole-punch camera, similar to the one in the Galaxy S10+, carrying a dual-camera setup. The display itself is curved, although the curve doesn’t seem as extreme as the one in the Mate 30 Pro, which fits the term “waterfall display”, given how there is a volume rocker–something that was removed in the Mate 30 Pro to give space for the screen curve.
Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are expected to be announced during the first quarter of the year, so expect to see the phones very soon.

Please post exact casing dimensions

Could someone please post the exact dimensions of the Huawei watch case in mm? Every review or specs listing I've seen says it has a 42mm diameter - but this clearly doesn't include the 'lugs' at either end. I have a pretty small wrist, and so would like to know the exact height, width, depth of the watch casing, not just the face.
Really torn between this and the new Moto 360 42mm, which looks like it sits neater on the wrist. The Moto's wireless charging is another plus, although I wonder would this take significantly longer to charge than the Huawei's contact charger? However, the Moto's screen seems a bit of a let-down for a second-gen product in comparison to other watches. Any feedback on mic sensitivity and vibration intensity from those who have used the Huawei would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks :good:
EDIT: To clarify what I mean by 'sits neater on the wrist', reference this quote from Digital Trends review of the Moto: "That 42mm casing looks slimmer and fits more naturally on the wrist than the Huawei Watch, it’s closest competitor size-wise. The bezels are thinner, the profile more slender, and the lugs are angled correctly, so they don’t wing over slim wrists". Never mind - I've more or less decided to go with the 42mm Moto 360. Initially I was 100% going for the Huawei, but now I've pretty much made my mind up in the opposite direction, and was helped by the following threads among other reviews and videos:

Elephone S3 Will be coming with Uni body with bezel-less screen

Elephone has leaked the news about Elephone S2 Smartphone with Uni-body and Bezel-less screen.
Elephone will release the Elephone S3 handset which is known as uni- body with bezel-less screen. We can only get very little news about Elephone S3 from the leaked photos. It has 2.5d bezel-less design and rear mounted fingerprint scanner. And the body appears to be a curved metal backed uni-body design. It will be also three colors , Rose gold, gold and silver.
So will elephone s3 become the next hit of elephone?

my Unboxing and Firts Look review (Italian Comment):

Xiaomi Max, first 6.4inch 2k screen smartphone is coming

The weekend in the morning, I believe most people are at rest, but Xiaomi Max will be released in two days, Xiaomi staff didn’t have a rest. According to Xiaomi Marketing Representative, Tony has showed a photo that Xiaomi CEO,Lei Jun has ended the first rehearsal of Xiaomi Max press conference with their staff. It is full of applause, and laughter.
We can see Lei Jun is one the most hard working bosses in Chinese smartphones line. But yesterday, Lei Jun has released several photos of Xiaomi Max, which were shooted by the colleague, He thought the phone is not so good. But according to the pictures of Xiaomi Max, it shows plate, fixed telephone, typewriter, etc. The boss didn’t explain where is not good enough, Maybe the background didn’t show the big screen of xiaomi max.
So what do you think? Just wait for more on May 10.

Elephone C1X will come with 3 color options, which are black, gold and peacock blue.
Elephone believe that as a teenager who is not afraid of saying what you have to say will be in favor of peacock blue.
Besides the colors, Elephone C1X is equipped with full-metal body with a 5.5 inch 2.5 D HD screen, running android 6.0 out of box and it features a Sumsang Rear Camera with 8 Megapixel, also the fingerprint sensor is on the back and supports off-screen wake-up .
2 GB Ram and 16 Gb Rom plus TF card expansion, daily needs will be met for sure.
Elephone C1 X may not be the best smartphones you can have, but it will impress you with its high cost-effective .
Elephone C1X is about to be on sale, what price range do you imagine this phone will be ?

Screen issue

So I recently started to notice a vertical line (or lines) on some screens. This normally happens in dark gray-ish backgrounds which are used in many apps as night mode or loading screens.

This is also the place where the see through part of the case begins, when it's closed. The reason I say this is because the case that came with the phone works very weirdly - it does nothing when I close the flap normally, but when I fold it behind the phone it will lock the screen and go into "case mode".
My friend has the same phone and says his works normally, I'll try to get my hands on his phone / case to do some more experiments..
I understand that I should exchange the phone but given that it isn't even sold in my country and there isn't any stock left at the moment, I want to try to solve this if possible.
Has anyone here got the same issue ? Or any experience with such an issue ?
I used to have similar things, only worse, on my older amoleds (Motorola was pretty bad ) but I thought this has since been fixed - just checked my pixel and there are no lines or spots ..

My comparison with mate 9 pro and pixel XL :
I've highlighted the lines that are visible to me with my eyes (not thought the camera) I understand that camera shows a lot of blemishes on all screens but there are clear lines on Huaweis and nothing on the pixel when I look at it .
Bonus galaxy s7:
Also perfect when not looking through the camera ...
Edit: I should also add that this 'defect' is much more noticeable on the PD, even though I can see some lines on the Pro I wouldn't have noticed them through normal use, I think .
