Huawei Watch GT 2 speaker crackling sound after swimming - Huawei Watch

After swimming last night in the pool, speaker on my Huawei Watch GT 2 has a crackling sound when turned up above 50% volume.
The volume is OK, but sound quality is not good now.
After swimming, I washed it with tap water gently and dryed it out with soft towel.
This morning the speaker issue is same as last night. I expected the speaker to dry out during the night and sound to restore to normal.
How long does it take for the speaker to dry out?
What are your experiences?
Or is this more serious issue?

Having the same issue before. i always wear evrywhere i go even during bath. it is normal the speaker crackling due to water at the speaker. it will take a few hour to dry out. if you have cover or protection TPU please remove it and let the watch dry normally. It is a normal issue when the watch submerged under water.

Thank you for reply.
It turns out you were right.
In my case, the watch was left on a table during the night after swimming and in the morning still had crackling sound issue. I put it on, and during the day, sometime before noon, the issue was resolved on its own. So, it took about 10 hours for the speaker to dry, but it did, and is now working normally.

Also, at some point, an update brought the water eject sound feature(like iwatch), only it is not easy to summon at any time. It automatically starts after a swim workout, but just starting and immediately ending the workout doesnt do it.

You submerged your smartwatch and you expected a different result?

My GNex took a brief swim. CPR in progress

Yes this is going to sound like a horrible lie or excuse to get a new phone but i love my gnex and want to hold onto it. I was in my kitchen and tripped and instead of falling to the ground and being protected by my otter box my phone flew forward into the sink where a pot from dinner was soaking full of water. You can guess what happened next. Like a puma I pulled it out and actually broke the otter box trying to quickly get it out and pull the cover and battery and sim. I removed it all since the phone was fully submerged for several seconds. I placed it in rice and aside from using the only rice I had (had flavoring powder mixed in which hopefully didn't do more harm then good). I did a damage control assessment. Everything seemed fine. Until I noticed my speaker was barely audible and I seemed to have destroyed my handset speaker as well. After several hours ans overnight in rice it appears my handset speaker is back to normal but it seems my loudspeaker is still rather muffled a little bit. It seems close to normal (maybe its in my head now) but I deff notice a small rattle or vibration only at certain points in ringtone (almost want to say when the bass is strong)as if maybe some rice or water is still stuck. The speaker may actually back to normal strength but this little rattle or brief period of abnormal sound is still present. Anyone have any suggestions? And yes I know I am very lucky if this is the only long term thing (aside from getting a new otterbox I escape with after my random gravity check almost destroyed my fav phone ever.

I don't have any suggestions for you, but I'm surprised it is working at all. You're very lucky.

[Q] Speaker Sorta dies after being near water for a while?

Hey guys just picked up the phone yesterday and I tested the waterproofing and it works fine just the speakers become very quite and distorted after touching water for a good minute or two. Happened when I tried to submerge it and just shower with music playing. The weird thing is it returns to full volume after 5 or 10 mins of just sitting there out of water. Should I return my phone?
No this is normal the speakers need to dry to resume normal functionality

any issue afer putting A7 2017 in water ?

Hey i have an A7 2017 ps i some one put his A7 2017 or A5 2017...... do you have any chages after putting your phone in water ?
Sorry for my bad English
Fresh water? Dry it off. Until it is dry, don't press any buttons or remove the SIM tray. Don't put anything in the USB-C socket or the headphone socket until they are dry.
Dirty water or sea water? Rinse it in fresh water, without pressing any buttons. Then proceed as above.

All I know is what it says on Page 9 of the A7 (2017) User Manual:
https://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-Galaxy-A7-2017_id10299/manual
"If the device has been immersed in water or the microphone or speaker is wet, sound may not be heard clearly during a call. Wipe the device with a dry cloth or dry it thoroughly before using it."
Water damage
I have been using my A7 2017 since may this year. I have immersed it in watet numerous times, including a hot tub and nothing happened before. I take spotify with my in the shower and it has been maybe 10 times and nothing unusual happened. Waterproof as expected.
However just 10 minutes ago I was in the shower. First the song stopped. I continued. Then the sound went off. The song continued but nothing on the speakers. Then I shut down, got out, wiped and blew into the sockets as I always do and booted the device. First the sound was very low and noisy, like there was water on the speakers. Then it went mute again and now there's no sound coming out. Actually I'm a bit freaked out, this wasn't supposed to happen.

[HELP] Seems like water in loudspeakers

So i was bathing and listening to song, and suddenly the sound changed. I probably think water went in there, what can i do now?
I filled a plate with rice and kept my phone in there as of now.
Is there any other way? For how much time should i keep my phone in rice?
I experienced similar situation, just use a hot hair dryer on the speaker and the bottom chin for about 5 minutes.. it worked for me ??

Samsung S9 audio crackling issue [VIDEO]

Hi guys
So I'm having a problem with my S9.
The problem is: it is not even exposed to water, no water entered speaker in last 10 days, but speaker will go crackling if the humidity is over 50 %
Here is the video: with the behavior before and after
youtube . be / s4GTJaWvL54
More info:
-both speakers (the one at the bottom and the one for callings) are affected by this problem, but when the devices goes to a decent level of humidity, both of them are going back to normal.
- no exposing to water
- no "Moisture detected" notification, but sometimes after being exposed to water, the moisture won't disaper even If I'm using a hair dryer. And I have to restart in safe mode and other fix tips.
Thank you!
