Note 10+ vs S20 Ultra 5G - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Anyone thinking of switching? interested to read people's opinions on this. I'm very tempted because I get no service on Tmobile at work so hopefully 5g solves it..but I. I not convinced yet I guess il wait until presentation on Feb 11th.

5G is still on hand 71 for T-mobile so if you have a Qualcomm US Note 10 plus and don't get service at work then 5G won't fix that issue yet.

I was thinking of switching but then I saw the price.
So far only talk of Ultra 5g, if there is a Ultra without 5g and a lower price I'll consider it but right now as much as I want the camera I can't justify it 6 months after buying the N10+.

If all the specs are true to current leaks then I will definitely upgrade from my Note 10+.I'm pretty stoked for a 16 gig 6.9 inch 120 hz. display and the 108mp. Camera combo.

The only turn off is When enabling 120Hz, it will set the display resolution to FHD+ / 2400×1080. I might just wait until the new note since the utilize the spen alot

idk yet, I'm waiting for a definite info on the new 3D Max fp sensor if they'd add it to the S20 or not, that's the only thing I don't like on my N10+. Other things to consider is saying goodbye to the s pen which I like a lot.
As for 5G? - am ok with LTE for now since it'll take some time(years?) for 5G to get a full implementation everywhere, right now it's just a promise for which we have to pay extra 'up front'.
Another pressing question is about that 108 mp, specifically: how will the image processing handle all that load, I hope they will make people happy with the results.
So, if not the Ultra model, for the sake of saving some bucks, what's good the S20+ brings? Right, a new SoC, 120Mhz(most of us will probably switch back to 60) and better then N10+ cameras – is that enough to get rid of N10+ and additionally shed an extra $500 - $600 for the trade? Me thinks not.
For better pics I'd rather buy the new Sony A6100(~$600)

Definitely will get the S20 Ultra....keeping my Note 10+

yup, i'll definitely be getting it. had the s10+, note 10+, note 10+ (star wars edition) and now the ultra once released. I get bored rather easily and always want the new hotness. and since the pixels have been letting me down lately, my only guilty pleasure are the Samsung phones. I hope there's a ceramic version like the s10+.

I am definitely going to get it - can't wait to see what the camera can do. From what I have read, while it is a 108 mega pixel cameara, the S20 ultra will combine pixels (four pixels) to help improve how much light is going to come in - I don't understand the specific workings of it all - but in the end, it sounds like it is going to be amazing. Camera, Big Battery, Huge Screen, no Bezels, it sounds like it has everything youi might want in a SmartPhone. Just a few weeks away, I can't wait.

I also like to get the best of the best when they come out like @chetly968. Kind of "oooh, shiny, me want!" situation but I'm not completely room over by the leaked specs. I know that it's a good upgrade to the S10/+/e range and the Note 10 range but it's like what @mzsquared said, are the upgrades worth the extra cost you'll have after trading in the Note 10+ 5G.
I'm going to watch the event and see what they say. It's usually the case that all the new upgrades in the S range get to the Note anyway in addition to extra upgrades.
It's a matter of do you want to wait, how do you use your Note 10+, do you use the S-Pen, would the experience be the same if you get the S20.
I gravitate towards the top phone on the Note range when it's launched, primarily because the Note range have more of a square body rather than the rounded corners on the S range.
I guess we'll see what they have in store for us next week.

Nope not getting it , It's not a upgrade from Note10 Plus to a S20 , basically it's a downgrade, so i won't downgrade, I'll wait for the Note11 or Note20 what ever they will call it. So for now I'll stay on my Note10 Plus, Also the Note10 Plus will still be better till i get the Note11 or Note20.

I feel like I have no reason to switch really.
It's not like getting a hopefully much better camera is going to launch me a photography career.
I really don't see any benifit when this phone is already fast, modern, and super adequate for life.
Save the money, go on a trip, cause having the latest phone is not a measurement of living life.

The performance gains will be minimal. I won't be upgrading.

No S Pen, no S20.

I will wait Microsoft Surface Duo! This is a good hybrid and a serious competitor for fold and note series.

Reserved S20+ anyway, now I have a few days to actually think about buying it for real, will see...
My reasoning starts with the trade value, Samsung offers $700 for my N10+, most of the Swappa's listing are right now in mid $600's(not to mention the involved hustle), sad, but that's the reality of a free market. Maybe I could settle down now with this S20+(5G though the 5G 'grid' has not been built yet around where I live)
It'll probably still suck with that same ultrasonic fp sensor I guess, am getting used to it on my N10+.

Definitely keeping my N10+ until the N20+ or whatever they call it. 120hz screen only at 1080p according to MKBHD. At least thats what he said in his video.

S20 looks ugly to me with those non curved edges, not a significant upgrade from Note 10 plus imo
Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

that huge battery may not be as impressive as it sounds when its got to power all that.
also...some reports say ultra has a true optical zoom of 4x and others say 5x...either way i do believe the 10x hybrid optical as they call it will be optical level...seems the further digital zoom will be more useful than it sounds as it appears to have good stabilisation.
they did mention in reveal yesterday that a lot of the software improvements mentioned will come to the s10+ in updates.
also...you could buy two 65" lg ultra hd hdr smart tv's with freeview and satellite tuner built in for the price of s20 ultra*[https://b-static]*...and still have change
Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk

Sorry if this offends or seems controversial, but I can't help but surmise that people considering buying the S20 don't really need a 'Note' device anyway.
For me, in my daily life, the 'S Pen' is indispensable. No matter the features offered by any other device, without the 'S Pen', it's just not complete.
Signing and translating documents, editing media, and even typing, with my large stubby fingers, are much more efficient on a 'Note', resulting in higher productivity.
The S20/+/Ultra, whilst very good devices, on paper at least, just can't cut it for me.
So, no thanks, will wait for the Note 20?, but even then, it would probably need to incorporate all under screen sensors. So, maybe no update till the Note 21.

Is it worth it to upgrade from the Note 8?

There seems to be a numver of issues with the S20, and nothing has really tempted me to upgrade aside from this phone.
My phone is becoming useless though. It's very slow, has a terrible screen response, and the battery is shot. This phone has disappointed me more than any other Note, and I don't even use the S pen often.
I'm not waiting on the Note 20, so would you upgrade to the S20 from the Note 8?
My husband and I are discussing the options for which one, I'm probably going with the ultra so I can have the camera, but we will never have 5G anywhere we live so that part is useless.
Does BK package disabler or a similar program work with this phone? I know never being able to root the Note 8 drove me nuts.
Thoughts?
I have an unlocked note8 and bought the AT&T S20 plus.
For me, the answer is yes - it was worth it.
I debated a long time about the Ultra - I think both the plus and ultra models are wonderful.
"zoom" camera even on the regular S20 is objectively better than the Note8.

Upgraded from note 8 to S20
I myself upgraded from a Note 8 to an S20.
Mind you it is the S20 and not S20+ or ultra.
Both are exynos so my experience will be biased for exynos markets only.
1. Screen : Not much different in terms of screen quality but that refresh rate, IMO is the best thing for me as I can scroll endless pages of instagram and youtube and website scrolling is so amazing.
2. Camera : By far the biggest improvement from the Note 8 is the camera modules here.
I am not much into 8K gimmics but using the ultra wide, the Smooth 60 fps in both 4k and full hd are phenominal. Pictures come out very good.
3. Battery life : Using the 120hz leaves very little room for better battery life than the Note 8 but I am sure if in a pinch, dropping the screen refresh rate to 60 will easily give me a couple extra hours. So it will be good for those long road trips.
4. The best part , THE SMALL SIZE : Well, not really a small size at 6.2 inches. However, it is a huge difference between the huge note and this little handy yet powerful phone. The note 8 is roughly the size of s20+ and beleive me the note feels cluncky as hell now that I am used to the size of s20.
5. App opening speeds and basic day to day performance is far superior to that note.
Note: You may feel like the s20 heats up like crazy if used in continuation a lot or if some high end game is played for long, well I faced that problem a lot and I have already opened a thread in the discussion sections to talk with other owners about the problem. I found out that restoring from my note 8 using samsung switch was the biggest mistake I could do. I then cleaned the phone by doing a factory reset and set it up as a new device and I must say, I could not be any happier.
I would say go for the S20. You will not regret it.:fingers-crossed:
Thanks,
Kunal

S20+ or OnePlus 8 pro?

I have pre-ordered S20+(Exynos), but did not get the phone because of lockdown.. as now OnePlus 8 pro lunched. Please suggest me what should I do? Cancel the s20+ pre-order & go for the OnePlus 8pro or go for S20+? My priority is camera performance..

S20+ absolutely no question. OnePlus has been putting mediocre cameras in their phones and will likely never change that. I bought into the bs that my OnePlus 6 had nearly flagship camera quality when I bought it, it sure did not. That's how OnePlus is. Solid build quality, decent hardware, tiny battery, and flagship prices now. They're not the worst phones by any means but just about every major manufacturer's flagships are better.
S20+:The phone heats up a lot, apps crash, battery life is not whats advertised. We currently do not purchase One Plus 8 Pro

You are right but I was disappointed with the S10 camera and am very disappointed with the S20+ I am actually thinking of selling my S20+ to get the OP8 Pro. The hardware in the samsung is probably better but I am just not having their software choices.
I'd buy the 8 Pro in a heartbeat. Using the S20+ and I'm disappointed with the camera.
Definitely no for S20 series exynos.
This time Samsung screwed up the s20 series with exynos cpu. We are facing one or the other problems with their cumulative updates.
So for they are not able to resolve battery life, phone overheating.
Now I believe samsung have taken for granted their fan base.
They are under assumption, the huge fan base will just buy whatever they throw at us & keep waiting with hopes that next update may resolve the issue.
Very frustrating to use s20. (was supposed to get ultra, but knowing the camera issue I skip to get base variant S20. to realize even this also have many issue).
Intermittently even on longer ph calls the phone exceed 40 deg & becomes hard to hold on to ears.
Forget about playing games or making video. Now aim forced to use the phone with 60hz and power save mode, under fear it may catch fire. Hahahah.
Really sometimes with 120hz it becomes hot pan. Quickly got to refrain from using the phone.
I really don’t understand what they have made this out off.
Been using samsung device from past 5 years.
We buy the brand on release dates with trust & faith. If this is how they show credibility.
Definitely next time got to think twice to jump in.
For sure the sales fig will make them to realize their mistakes.
Both are crazy good phones. As good as oneplus is and I loved their phones up til theb7 pro, they have some quirks I can't get past. Biggest is DEEP SLEEP. Sometimes I would wake up and phone would be unresponsive. Had to force reboot. Samsunf never has those problems. One ui 2.1 makes the software fast fluid and completely usable. Im happy with my s20 plus. It ended up being cheaper than the onepkusnhere in the US when buying with a student discount.
I think a lot depends on where you’re from, if like me uk then the oneplus 8 pro is a no brainer. I’m sure I would have kept my Samsung had it not had the exynos chip in it.
for me the decision was made when I popped to shops in car I put a YouTube video on literly 5 minutes and the phone was thermal throttling 120hz > 30hz bearing in mind its only spring in uk .. so, it can only get worse
If only the p40 pro had google :/

So the OnePlus 8 Pro camera is garbage because you have first-hand experience with it, right? Yeah ok.
I have a S20+ and I love it. However, if I needed a new phone now, I'd seriously consider the OPO 8 Pro or even the "regular" OPO 8. I haven't read reviews of the camera, but most people just need a camera to post to social media and share with friends, who will view the photos on another phone. Is the S20 / S20+ / Ultra worth the extra money? Probably not. However, Samsung is offering some great trade-in deals, which is why I traded in my Note 10. If Samsung hadn't offered me $700 towards the purchase of a S20+, I'd still be using my Note 10 and probably contemplating buying a OPO 8 right now.

I am about to eBay my S20+ for the same reasons. Love the form factor, hate the camera and Exynos shortcomings in the UK we even pay more for the inferior experience.
Have considered the P40 pro several times now, I'd mostly be totally ok with no google but it is the big exceptions like no Google Pay, banking apps and the inevitable constant faff to get other stuff working, such a shame, I'd order one immediately but for this. I have also considered more than once going back to a P30 pro, I'd still bank on the camera being better than the S20.
Re OnePlus at current prices I cannot see a reason to pick the standard 8 over the 7T Pro or even 7 Pro.
Op 7 Pro.

And it winds up costing the same if you trade in because One+ is going to offer $400 tops for the Note 10 unfortunately.
I think I'm done with notches and punch holes. I want a full screen with no obstructions.
I'm OK with something that pops up as long as it doesn't mean the device has no IP rating.

Funny. Go look at the S20 forums and you will see it's not so great
maybe mi 10 pro ?
Easy. If you live in a country where you can only get the S20 Exynos variant? Go for OnePlus 8 Pro.
You live in a place where you can get the S20 Snapdragon? You ask yourself what you like best, a more stock Android experience or One UI? And then decide base on that.
Phones are pretty similar, comparing S20+ vs OnePlus 8 Pro. Both have 6.7" displays. Both 120hz. Both with great color reproduction, viewing angles and brightness. Memory and storage is great on both. Main camera is great on both, wide angle is mixed, telephoto is better on the S20+ but not by that much. Both have dual SIM but S20 has the option to one SIM and SDCard.
Phones are pretty similar on the spec sheet if buying the Snapdragon. Exynos is ****! I got one, overheats, battery don't last long enough and performance? Performance is AWFUL! Stutters here and there, and when it heats up? Phone caps at 60hz.

Note 20 upgrade

Still kind of early, but anyone here upgrading form there note 10+ to the note 20? I usually like to keep my phones for 2 years, but the Samsung trade in makes the upgrade appealing. Share your thoughts! who will be upgrading or who will be rocking the note 10+
Here in Italy the value of the note10+ is just 330€ if you trade it in...
I think it's better to sell it privately
There is really nothing on the Note 10+ I find lacking. I think the only reason I could see upgrading would be for 5g, but I expect it to be years yet before that will make sense, even though I live in a large city that is already getting coverage. Even then, current speeds are perfectly fine for my needs, so it would be about coverage.
I will upgrade next year, among other reasons, I find the cam module of the note20 extraordinaily ugly, I hope they correct it for the 21 model

I think the same as you are, and 5G is the only thing that maybe the reason (not sure, the 100-megabyte/Sec I get now is pretty good.) The only thing the make me upgrade devices is the Samsung deal of a trade in. I got my Note10+ (USA) for $485 and returned a S9 so it was a no brainier..
I swapped a 9 for the 10+ as 5G was in my area, no reason to really go to a 20 and to be honest the "discount" you get returning the phone at a year through Samsung is pretty poor, was only about a £100 reduction last year when I returned my Note 9, I got more discount trading in an old S6 I had lying around to get the Note 9 through Samsung. sure it's nice to have the latest phone but you are basically paying 50% of the cost to keep it a year and then have nothing to show for your money.
I probably won`t I have the Note 10+ 5g already with ATT in USA , I originally had the s20 ultra 5g, and i had too many issues with the camera and the Note 20 looks fugly with the camera module. I`ll wait for next year.

Yes! Next year processors will have amd graphics, I am eagerly waiting to see them!
I'll probably get the Note 20+ or Ultra edition as the standard is rumoured to only have 60hz & no LTPO...
Honestly I'll probably skip next year's as I don't have faith in first generation AMD graphics, it'll be a first for Samsung devices and I think it'll take a few iterations to iron out any issues.

I somewhat agree with you, but I expect the S21 to be the guinea pig for that matter…
Yeah to me the Galaxy S phones tend to be a test subject as the Note tends to come 6 months later with similar hardware just with the kinks worked out. so by the time the Note 21 comes out they will have had several months of in use testing done by the Galaxy S users to refine it for the Note users.
I def will be upgrading to the note 20. I love my note 10+. There is even a small window I might go for the fold 2.

IKR? Always been a fan of the Note, but the S20 and Note 20's camera is just fugly, no other way of saying it. And hell, it's not like it's that big an improvement over the Note 10's camera. Actually, in some cases I've seen, the 10 is wahaaay better. And the 100x times zoom isn't worth that bump - a gimmick that I'd use a few times... maybe.
I love my note 10+ the only real issue i dislike is the lack of headphone jack. Now I know that all smartphones are leaning towards this " trend" and I can buy and adapter, but I realy wish they would have included it
I hope they Not go with the trend !!! The trend is to make round corners phones, that looks like dildo. I Hate that ****! That's why i bougth 10+ 5g (an old phone from august 2019). One of the few with a square screen.
10+ 5g here. If you can imagine that some headphones does not work on my 10+... "does not recognise"... I have Oneodio Headphones Professional Studio Dynamic Stereo DJ. With OnePlus adapter usb type C to 3,5mm jack.
On my OnePlus 7 Pro sound was Awesome! On s20+ 5g (sold) sound horrible, but the headphones workt.
And of course i hope the Greed stops ! And the price will Not be 1500 Euro.

s20fe or pixel 5

I see that the s20fe has higher specs, likely to be updated about the same amount of time
It's pointing me hard to leave the pixel family and rejoin (infuse and note 3) the Samsung family.
Anyone have any input? I see that Samsung seems to have a few processor and support issues. Obviously we do not know what issues the pixel 5 will bring but with a known chipset I'm guessing few.

Probably get better answers there, and probably once the devices are both out.
I left samsung for lack of timely updates years ago and went back to Samsung this year since they've fixed the updating policy. 5 I found a new s20 plus for just over 1/2 off, and the battery life has been insane compared to pixel 3.

Actually chose this forum on purpose since neither are out.
I own pixel devices so I'm really looking for the Samsung argument.
Thanks though.
You'd honestly probably get more bang for your buck with the S20 FE. The specs are better on the FE side and if software updates are an issue, Samsung just released recently that they're now supporting 3 years of android updates for their devices and I'm sure it'd apply to the FE.
Some specs to consider, the 120hz (FE) vs the 90hz (Pixel) may not seem that substantial but, in practice it can be noticeable. 25W Charging (FE) vs 18W (Pixel). 4500 mAh (FE) vs 4080 mAh (Pixel). SD865 (FE) vs SD765 (Pixel).
The biggest question for you to answer is, do you like stock ui or samsung one ui. Now, I will say samsung is feature enriched with the interface and you'll never be bored with your phone. I've been using the pre-beta one ui 3.0 on my galaxy and I'd like to think that it's actually nice. I've personally never been a fan of stock ui that pixels give but, again, that's my preference. Either way, both devices are solid.
I'm providing a spec sheet of the 2 for you to look at. Sorry it's a long stretched screenshot lmao, may have to save it or zoom in.

I'm providing a spec sheet of the 2 for you to look at. Sorry it's a long stretched screenshot lmao, may have to save it or zoom in.

Thanks,
I actually suspect the p5 battery life to be similar due to the screen size I do agree the 20fe wins specs hands down.
My only gripe with pixel stock ui is the lack of a second notification volume slider.
I'm more concerned with things that I'm not aware of, such as "Samsung has wronged it's community""chipset bugs", broken promises, etc.

I'd say their reliability has definitely upped within the past say 3 years. Before the galaxy s8 it was kind of a mess. Now, their phones are relatively solid. The FE is gonna be well rounded if anything, phones like my Galaxy S20 Ultra push limits and almost too far (the 108mp camera has horrible auto focus), to where they fix it in the next generation (Note 20 Ultra uses a different auto focus mechanism) but, with that being said, the FE seems to use what they know works and go from there. If anything, it's a slightly mellowed down S20 with a flat screen and the S20 is a good phone. I wouldn't worry too much about updates, they're working pretty quick on 11 for us and that speaks volumes.
The pixel 5 is a midrange spec phone selling at flagship price, i would never buy it unless its less than $300

P5 or p4a? I agree on the p4a being a $300 phone.
The p5 is maybe $100 more than I'd like to see. But the flagship price anymore is $.9-1.1k and the p5 is likely $700.
I'll definitely be waiting for black Friday/cyber Monday to make the decision.
Right now a $600 fe is tempting, but again I've dug myself pretty deep into the pixel brand and an unlocked bootloader is worth something too.
One of my big things would be if it's going to be possible to get either of these with unlocked bootloaders.
I feel like the pixels usually have a way of doing that, but not the samsungs. At least not the US Snapdragon ones, and since i'm on a CDMA carrier, i can't use any of the exynos variants. Now Verizon is switching to VOLTE end of the year, but it looks like the exynos phones won't have that either.. There are some articles about being able to enable VOLTE on some samsung devices from 2018 / 19, but until everything is launched and folks mess around.. who knows. I don't know that i'll buy another phone unless I can get custom roms. It's just a whole different world.

Question Got S21fe but I'm not sure if it was a good choice

Hi.
Just ordered S21fe 5g 256gb. With all the discounts and a 200£ trade in I paid £424 only. Which I consider a massive bargain. I traded in my old £0 value galaxy S6. Supper happy with the price.
Replacing my beloved s10e. I went for S21fe instead of s22 because of optical fingerprint reader instead of ultrasonic which allows me to use tempered glass on the screen and still be able to use the fp reader on S21fe. Also slightly bigger screen and bigger battery.
I just hope I won't regret my choice.
Any thoughts? Can anyone who already owns S21fe say whether they love it, hate it or have mixed relationships with it. Thanks
Hi!
As you, I had the S7 and then, the S10e.
2 weeks ago, I bought the S21 FE.... and I really love it!
I just miss the S10e's fingerprint! I find it more useful on the S10e !! When you grab the S10e, the fingerprint naturally falls under your thumb.... but except this, I prefer the S21 FE
I really don't understand why they don't place the fingerprint a few centimeters higher....

Thanks for your reply.
And like you I think the fingerprint reader on the s10e is as good as it gets. The best possible placement.
I'm not a fan of in screen fingerprint readers at all but I guess it's something I'll need to get used to. All new phones have it for reasons unknown.

It depends on what you look for in a phone nowadays.
I personally hate the 3X telephoto. It's slow, blurry and feels like it belongs in the year 2015. It's really sad because there are older phones out there that outperform it. But this might be Samsung's camera software. If I use GCam It's way better, but GCam is really unstable with the S21 FE Snap.
I love everything else about it: price, size, UI, flat screen with no curves, weight, color, look, performance and especially video mode. It has really smooth transition between lenses when filming, and white balance is well calibrated for all of them. I've been through a few phones lately and watched a ton of reviews but came to the conclusion that this is the best bang for the buck right now. The alternatives are chinese phones with poor software and poor updates or Iphone but I'm too scared to change the ecosystem ).

I've read about the telephoto camera issues which I hope will improve with software updates.
Everything else you mentioned is basically my kind of thing. Reasonable size, flat screen, performance, UI. It's all great. And I was considering different options, like Pixel 6 but it only comes with 128gb and apparently is buggy like hell. Also different Chinese options but like you I'm not only used to samsung's ecosystem but I also think it's the best best out there. And with good lock it's so customizable. I love it. I really wanted to go for S22 or even S22+ but my OCD would not allow me to buy it knowing that I won't be able to slap a piece of protective glass onto the screen because of the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. So S21fe it is I'm just hoping I get the Snapdragon version. I was trying to find some info whether it's a snapdragon or exynos in UK but couldn't find any confirmation. Apparently it's snapdragon but can also be exynos XD

Yeah, at least be sure you get a Snapdragon and everything should be perfectly fine.
Personally I'm now waiting for the S22 FE to see what's new. Changing phones is always a hard choice because usually I'm thinking that if my phone has an issue that I don't like, I can just buy a new one that doesn't have the same issue and I will be happy. But what actually happens is, I spend money on a new device, and although my initial problem is solved, I find ten other issues I hate. And it's like I'm starting this never ending journey of buying and testing phones which is stressful. And then I come to the conclusion that I should've kept the initial phone with it's silly issue. It's like breaking up with the love of your life for one stupid mistake and hooking up with another women that drives you insane. You end up regretting it )))

Haha I know exactly what you mean. That's how I feel breaking up with my S10e. Absolutely the best phone samsung has ever made imo. But it's getting old battery needs charging twice a day now. So new phone is needed but I really feel, well I know for sure that I'm going to miss that device.
Dammit it looks like it's going to be an exynos version. That totally just put me off. I'm now leaning towards keeping the s10e and returning the S21fe when it arrives today.
Shame but it is what it is.
Oh, sorry to hear that... If the S21 FE is an Exynos in your region this could mean that the regular S21 might be Snapdragon. I guess you could try that. I wanted to,but couldn't because in my region it's the exact opposite )

Unfortunately S21 is also exynos. Every samsung phone in UK is exynos. Balls
I watched a few comparison videos and I feel like that Exynos 2100 isn't all that bad really.
I couldn't say they are bad but I'm more interested in the camera quality and Exynos are notorious for having washed out images and videos with a lot of noise reduction applied. Also, one big difference is the constant performance of the processor. Snapdragon can keep up with the same task without loosing too much performance but Exynos cannot. Also, the fact that Samsung sells phones with the same name but with a totally different processor is also bugging me. If you are not that concerned about cameras then I guess the Exynos might be fine also.
I think this guy sums it best:

I don't play games on my phone so I'm not worried about heat or "constant performance" as it won't really affect me. And if I play any games they're usually non demanding puzzle kind of games so that's fine.
As for the photos yes I've seen some tests and exynos does slightly worse job when it comes to processing which is a bit annoying. Especially that in UK the exynos 256gb version is more expensive than snapdragon version in the US. £749 vs $749. 1:1 UK works out more expensive.
But I'm actually leaning towards keeping it anyway. For the price that I paid I can't really complain. £424 is almost half price so I think I can live with Exynos
It just arrived and is charging before I start transfering all my stuff from the S10e. Unfortunately this will be either later this evening or tomorrow morning because I'm on my way to work now. Either way I hope I won't be disappointed.
1 day with S21fe... I'm quite impressed. Apart from the fingerprint reader which will take time to get used to i don't have anything to complain about really. Screen size is great. Phone is fast and really nice to use.
So far so good.
Ha ha! As I anyway told you
Good for you happy to hear that, I hope you enjoy it until something better comes along.
I got my snapdragon s21 fe 2 weeks ago. It's a fantastic phone. Got it for 500 bucks with the galaxy watch 4 44mm included. Great game performance, fantastic main and uw cam. Dolby atmos and the 120hz amoled provide a fantastic media experience. One ui 4.1 is very intuitive and a welcome change after having a xiaomi phone. The only 2 gripes I have are the battery and the android 12 restrictions. The battery is average in everyday casual use, but intensive games drain it a bit too fast for my liking. And the android folder restrictions in android 12 are preventing me from modding games.

I'll probably keep it for at least 2 years which I always do with my every phone. Had s10e for 2.5yrs.
So 2 years is definitely enough time for something better to come out
I finally found a file manager that bypasses folder restrictions on this phone. It's called MT manager
Did you tried Total Commander?
