in settings make sure you have enabled them for ALWAYS

To be fair it's wonky at best on the s10+as s well. Personally I started using AOD notify a long time ago and it has solved my issues. Lots of customization.

Blinking led notification

Anyway to disable this all together on touchwiz roms?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Not in one shot. You have to find settings for everything and turn off notifications LED if the option is provided. Sometimes you only get the notification toggle. So for each email you have to shut it off, for messaging, for games like wordfeud, FB, Twitter...and so on.

Level 9000: Poke around the source and neuter the driver that controls it.
Level nub: Check the many LED control apps to find one with a toggle that universally disables the LED notification.

[Q] Stock Jellybean weather notification in notification tray.

The day before I noticed I had a weather notification in my notification tray that looked amazing. I'm assuming it was stock since I have no weather apps or widgets installed but now the notification is gone. Does anyone know why or when it shows up or how to get it back?

This is apart of Google now.
Edit: In order for it to reappear you have to turn Google now off and then on. I believe since this is a alpha build everything is not worked out so Google now is not fully functional

That did the trick. Thank you so much man XD

It is presumably supposed to open up the weather app for you when weather changes or you move to a different location with different weather. I don't think you can make it a persistent notification.
further info on this issue
I had the same issue/question - this is the only thread I found in a day of searching. The stop-Google-Now-restart method didn't immediately work. Looking under Google Now settings in the weather settings there is a notifications toggle that was set to off. The other option is "low priority". Toggling Google Now off-on alone without this switched will not work.
turn off and on

[Q] Very dim combined inbox

I am not sure how to quite search for this topic, so sorry if it has been asked. I tried the phrases I could think of.
The screen on the new Note 2 is very crisp and bright, but when I go into the combined inbox, or just use the stock email app, the screen dims for some reason, or feels like it does. When I leave email and go to a different app or home screen, the screen lightens up. Has anyone else seen that behavior?
Turn off Power Saving via Settings or Notification Bar.
Hi. I think this is because of the auto adjust screen tone depending on the screen option under settings then display.

Turning off power saving did it. I feel pretty dumb. Thank you.

Thanks. That works for me too.
BUT, is there any other way? Coz I am afraid that turning off power savings will reduce my battery life greatly.
BTW I only have this dim screen issue with the default email client. K9 is ok.

Sms/mms turns screen on???

So ive been trying to find the setting to disable this. Ive pocket dialed the police at work twice and had to disable my pattern lockscreen because of it. And as I do online banking this is not an option lol. Ive checked every setting I can think of and even disabled the little quick reply popup and nothing. Anyone got any ideas?

I used a 3rd party sms that lets me disable the screen coming on. I use chompsms and I think it works for your purpose
edit...I thin my screen doesn't come on because I have the folio case that keeps the screen off until I open the cover. maybe try a proximity app to keep the screen off while in your pocket

Well I installed chompsms and changed the setting and now i dont get text messages at all...

Less not working after Nougat update

After OTA update today, LEDs no longer work. Cleared cache and rebooted. Any ideas of a 3rd party app that might work until Samsung fixes? I've got to have notifications that work.

I have been able to get the LEDs to work for some apps, but not others. Apparently it's a known issue with Samsung.

Did a FDR and the LEDs now work. However, yellow LED now shows as blue even though yellow is assigned. This is in Go SMS Pro. I think in some apps you have to also have a sound enabled for the LED to work.
