Did it wipe internal storage? or Everything was intact?
Did the usual local update, Magisk patch inactive slot, reboot. Got a bootloop on reboot. Had to wipe user data, ymmv.

regular full ota. update, install magisk to inactive slot if rooted, reboot, profit. It oats on first boot, so don't be alarmed if it takes 10+ minutes

Careful, I got a reboot loop which recovery tells me is related to `phone` app crashing, so probably related to some magisk module. Still trying to get out of it without wiping everything.
Disable/uninstall all Magisk modules before updating.

Hmm, I have the google dialer framework module + google phone with the stock dialer disabled. For what it's worth, you should be able to swap the active slot in fastboot and boot back to the last rom if things go sideways. Maybe..

Didn't work, changing slot after first try to boot on OB1 got me stuck on boot.
Managed to do it by flashing stock (non-root) boot.img, downloading and generating a core-only Magisk patched image of OB1 kernel, booting to it, removing all modules, regenerating non-core patched image and flashing it back on fastboot.
For anyone in need to boot with core-only Magisk (to clean offending modules), here is my images for Magisk 20.3 Beta

First and foremost, massive thank you for your work.
Second: it, unfortunately, doesn't work for me on my EML-L29TWRP (or I just messed up something). I followed the flash trough Fastboot command, installed magisk manager app but there is no supersu available like on your screenshots I have unlocked my bootloader properly ( get all warnings how my phone cant be trusted).
I just need superSU to remove retail demo app but if necessary I'm willing to debug software.
Also, I have screen captures to show my issue but because I am a new user I cant share them.

You might want to tell the builder to check the commit from TWRP for Pixel 2. February security patch causing that decryption problem when user have password set. But it has been fixed since march by DeesTroy.
Saftynet is being tripped.

On a other side, it's not a big problem. It's simple to remove security password, install twrp and root, and then, put again the security with password.
That was what we had to do with the OnePlus 5T at the beginning of the first versions of TWRP.
we hope that a functional and downloadable version will be available soon
On the other hand if huawei could allow to download a ROM Stock, it would still be safer in case of bad flashing or brick phone. But can we hope that soon, not sure.

If you don't like how custom camera performs in custom ROMs, you may want to try this. The flashable zip that you'll download will "install" in your preferred custom ROM the stock ROM Camera HAL.
What is this HAL?
Android's camera Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) connects the higher level camera framework APIs in android.hardware to your underlying camera driver and hardware. The camera subsystem includes implementations for camera pipeline components while the camera HAL provides interfaces for use in implementing your version of these components. From Magisk manager install the "init.d injector" module and reboot
Boot in recovery and flash Stock-Camera-HAL.zip

It's useless in MIUI, it's only for custom roms in order to get close to stock camera performance
Thanks! Just flashed this on official Lineage 15.1 and the difference is pretty big! I did two shots of the same location (before and after flashing), and then cropped the photos at the maximum zoom in gallery. The comparison is in attachment.
EDIT: I was using Open Camera app (with camera2api enabled)
Installed on the ROM Pixel Expirience . I did not notice any difference.
It doesn't work on your Xenon HD rom, so I move to your lineage release and works with Lineage camera. Thanks

I had no issue with the yt app while i was using the mod...
Maybe because i was using a modded one.
Youtube Vanced was it's name.
To clear things up: the HAL won't simply "provide better quality" because it's from Xiaomi. They did close to none good things with the default Qualcomm camera stack. But what you'll really get is the access to HAL1, meaning the possibility to use typical Qualcomm/Xiaomi features. Long exposure, high framerates, all with default libs. Just MIUI Camera or Snapdragon Camera needed. BTW, the sample image posted here was sadly sharpened and purged from colors xD So that's rather an example of something sad.

Just visually, not technically :> By appearing "better" after zooming in, you get aliasing and halos as the side effect. If it were a small text, you'd notice that actually nothing changed about its readability. Sharpening mask is mathematically wrong and the only possibly useful algorithms are the ones which try to recalculate lost detail, for example something like Raisr.
The camera does not work on the Mi Note 2.

Since when miui turned from stock ROM to custom ROM? You're not supposed to use this on stock ROM. Read before flashing

In this case, the full GSI files are the different files ported from Pixel 1 and 2. However, the sGSI folder contains the Pixel XL port which is made to work on any device.

Do you have the full zip or boot img?
Already updated like 6 hours ago was waiting for this post. Just to inform you. I am rooted with some magisk modules. My phone rebooted like 3 times before it actually booted up so not sure what was happening but just to tell people not to panic if it happens to you

For what? Dowland and instal updated. No restart. Go magiak, instal to no active slot , restart, works.

thanks for boot img. i got wiped after reactivating magisk modules... suspect call recording as culprit...
Anyone having issues with beta 2 and Nova launcher? Mine was hanging when pressing the back button or unlocking phone. Had to switch back to op launcher.
Does anyone know where can I send feedback of the new beta?
On OB2 with navigation gestures, auto rotate is off, and I rotate the phone, the button to rotate doesn't appears, also if you long press the battery icon on the quick settings it takes you to battery saver screen instead of the battery usage (this happened since OB1).
Anyone try magisk call recording module on OB2?

Just download Joneplus tools from playstore and enable call recording. Remove the app from battery optimisation to keep setting after a reboot.
The call recorder module will result in a bootloop

Still causing me issues with Nova. Home screen takes forever to load and the back button gets stuck when I click it 99% of the time

I don't think this is up to the ROM but to the Magisk... But yeah, it does pass safetynet.
I am coming from MIUI based ROM. In order to get past boot loop to recovery i had to wipe data. Just FYI.

Someone found a bug, said that sometimes one may face a lag in status bar scrolling. It c an be solved if the Blur option is deactivated.
PS: Landscape button is broken. I got logs
After my installation don't work weather on Pixel launcher home screen. Maybe it is bug on gapps.

Hello again. I have been experiencing some random lags on UI; such as lag on scrolling or animations.
I agree, there is alot of lags, nearly instagram unusable, every 3 videos it lags and show a massage to force close or wait,
As well as in Pubg Mobile, it lags after the game finished,
Beside the music player , i use walkman sony music player and Stellio. It keep force closing while playing the songs,
Also in gallary the when I'm scrolling from one video to another it lags for couple of seconds

Lags sometimes related to blur, please try to disable it in developers options and if solved tell me and try to disable as default. I'll keep updating this rom, but as is LOS related and LOS 18 isn't official yet some items still don't work well, so be patient
